Buying from a non-US itunes store

just wondering....is it possible to purchase songs from a different store? the US store doesnt have it and I've requested the songs almost six months ago...i can go to a different store but i can't add anything to my shopping cart. Has anyone been able to do this?

The only way you can purchase from another country's store is to have a credit card with an attached billing address from that country. This is required by the copyright holders for store content, not Apple. Sorry, there is no workaround. You might try purchasing the physical CD as an import from amazon.com, for example.

No, you can only buy from your own country's store - to be able to buy from another country's store you need a valid billing address in that country and be in that country when buying from it. You can try requesting that what you want to buy is added it the UK store, but ultimately it's the record companies that will have to grant Apple license to sell it here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

In order to purchase from a particular country's store, you must have a credit card with a valid mailing address within that country. Legal stuff...

No.
You can ONLY buy from the itunes store of your country of residence ( proven by valid billing address on your credit card) AND ONLY while inside the borders of that country.

As the first line in the Terms of Service in the Japanese iTunes states.
"Purchases from "this" iTunes store are available to you only in Japan and are not available in any other location. You agree not to use or attempt to use "these" services outside of the available territory...."
I may just be reading the first line so their may be more to this but so far I find it completely asinine that I'm unable to buy Japanese songs from the Japanese iTunes. It's very hard to find current non-anime related Japanese artist on the internet.

This comes up all the time. You have to have a valid billing address and credit card from a certain country to buy from that store. It is not up to Apple - it is up to the folks who hold the rights to the Japanese songs.
Here is a post from forum regular Dave Sawyer that pretty much sums it up:
+This has been covered here literally dozens of times, but once again: the content owners do not allow cross-border sales from any of the legal download stores. You must therefore have legal residence in the country of the iTunes Store you wish to use. So in order to buy from another country's iTunes Store, you must (as proof of residence) have either:+
+a) a credit card issued by a bank in that country with a billing address also in that country, or+
+b) a mailing address for your residence in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.+

No, the iTunes card is only valid in the country where it is sold...and you must be physically in that country to use it.

Firefox will reload a page and reposition at the top if the copy in the cache has expired. However, that shouldn't happen right away.
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

If you've disabled your account for 8 hours then you will need to wait until the 8 hours have completed.
When the 8 hours are up, then if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then you should get a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6170
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps on this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5620

Buying the nano from a non Apple Online store

If i buy the 2g nano via a non Apple (online) store will i be able to use Apple's helpdesk and garanty which you do get if you would buy the nano via the online store.
Because i dont want to be waiting longer on possible replacements for the high pitched tone via third party shops.

You get the same warranty whether you buy from Apple or another vendor. However other vendors may try to sell you their own insurance or extended warranty but that's nothing to do with the standard warranty and it'll be your choice to buy or not

Not directed toward you, StarDeb55, but the explanation offered in the linked document is nonsense. None of the content that I want to buy from the French/Italian stores is offered in the US store; if it were available I'd have bought it already.
What's more, I'm more than willing to pay 9,99 E for an album in the French store that, if it were offered in the US store, would customarily cost me only $9.99. Last time I looked 1 E = $1.19 or so.
So, in other words, I'm being denied the opportunity to overpay for an album.
Makes perfect sense to me.
