Buying iPhone in US using with European operator??

Hi,
If I buy an unlocked iPhone in the US, will I be able to use it with my european operator in Europe? I know in the pas there were some issues with it but from what I understand it has now been resolved. I prefere to ask as the unlocked phones are sold through an American operator (T-mobil).
Thanks a lot guys
Agnes

There is currently no unlocked iPhone 6 available in the US. The T-mobile iPhone
is not unlocked - you must be a customer in good standing for 40 days before you
can request an unlock.
Warranty will be valid only in the US - you must personally bring the iPhone back to the
US for warranty evaluation or repair.
LTE/4G will not work in Europe. Prices on US website do not include taxes, which can
run as high as 9% or more.
Buy your iPhone where you intend to use it to avoid these and other problems.

  • Number of elements that can be used with 'in' Operator

One of my SQL query having 'in' operator failed saying number of elements exceed.
Is there a limit on number of elements that can be used with - 'in' operator.
And if yes can it be increased?

And if yes can it be increased? You cannot have more than 1000 literals in an IN clause.
    Please check
    ORA-01795, limit on in clause

  • Unlocked old iPhone 3GS for use with pay as you go sim in the UK on vacation. O2 sim works while ph plugged in.  Unplugged, works short time and crashes.  Sometimes won't even re-boot.  Software on phone up to date as far as 3GS goes.

I brought an old IPhone 3GS to the UK on vacation for use with sim card.  I had the phone unlocked with approval and instructions from ATT.  Store in the UK recommended O2 pay as you go sim which works as long as the phone remains plugged into the wall.  Once unplugged, it will work for a short time and then always crashes.  Sometimes it will re-boot and crash again and sometimes it will not re-boot at all.  One store told me to sync with itunes which I did on my Mac Book.  I don't know if the sim is defective or if the software of the 3GS is just not compatible with the sim when on the battery.  I have updated the software on the phone as far as it will go.  Any suggestions?  Maybe the phone is too old to use with the latest pay as you go sim cards.  I am disappointed that this phone has not been reliable as a pay as you go and I have had to purchase a UK phone here in order to have a reliable phone.

There is nothing you can do. You bought an illegally unlocked phone off Ebay. A lot of sellers there will tell you it is unlocked but the first time you try to update the operating system it will put the lock back on to the carrier the phone was originally locked to. Sorry but unless the carrier it was locked to will unlock the phone I am afraid you have a very expensive paper weight now. You should have bought it from a reputable dealer instead of ebay.

  • Best place to find a used iphone 4s to use with Verizon.....

My husband would like to upgrade his cell phone to a smart phone before our contract is up.  Where is the best place to look for a used smartphone (either iphone 4s or Motorolla Razr) that can be used with Verizon? Also, does it need a sim card? Can I buy a sim card separately at a Verizon store?  Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

On the suggestion of a coworker (his kids are very irresponsible), I went to The Cell Phone Nerd on eBay.
8 months into my upgrade, my BlackBerry Z10 wasn't meeting my needs and I wanted an iPhone.  Verizon was either going to charge me the full price to upgrade or have me add an extra line and data package.
I got the 4s Direct Buy on eBay.  It was locked for Verizon Wireless.  I called *228 to activate it and had no problems with my contract.
Let me know if you need more info.

I have an old iPhone 3S, that was used with Bell. My friend lost her phone and I lend her this one, which she unlock to use with Rogers. I got it back and want to use as an iPod not the phone, but when I connected to iTunes I am getting this message: "There is no SIM card installed in the iPhone you are attempting to activate. Please diconnect and insert a SIM card".
I went to Bell and Rogers where we tried inserting active cards but message never changed.
On the phone itself I am able to get wifi but finish with "Your phone could not be activated because the activation server is temporary anavailable."
I run diagnostic from iTunes:everything is working properly, only message out of normal is "iTunes is not running in safe mode"

    Any help will be apriacieted

On the phone I'm getting Cinfigure screen asking Launguage , Country or Region, Wi-Fi, ( I can connect to my home wi-fi), and last screen "Activating your iPhone". After two minutes of waiting IM getting message: Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server in temporary unavailable. try connecting to iTunes or try later or contat apple.com/support.
Like I mention, I went to Bell as well Rogers store and tried to insert active SIM card with no results.

  • Old iPhone - can I use with new provider?

I have an old iPhone activated in the US with ATT. I recently moved to Hong Kong and would like to switch out the sim card and use it with the new iPhone service provider in HK. I don't want to break my contract with ATT (as I still use it when in the US), I don't want a new 3G iPhone (yet), and I don't want to hack/unlock it.
Will this be possible now that there will be a service provider in HK?

Will this be possible now that there will be a service provider in HK?
No - this does not change the fact that your iPhone is carrier locked with at&t. The iPhone sold in HK will likely be sold as carrier locked only with the designated provider or providers there.

  • Using with different operator

i am pedro from bolivia. My fried send me blackberry tour 9630 and this is blocked with network blocked of verizon it's possible unlocked this?.
For use with sim of my country?

I am using TS 2010. FYI
    ex:
    Array XX [ A_Temp,
                   B_Temp,
                   C_Oil Pressure,
                   D_Oilpressure,
Note : A_Temp, B_Temp,C_Oil Pressure,D_Oilpressure all these parameters will be getting  numerical values (dynamically) from the simulink models and also in future I may need to add parameters to this array.
    Array YY [A_Temp_1,
                   B_Temp_2,
                   C_Oil Pressure_3,
                   D_Oilpressure_4,
Note : A_Temp_1, B_Temp_2,C_Oil Pressure_3,D_Oilpressure_4 all these parameters will be getting  numerical values (dynamically) from the simulink models
    So my question :
    I would like to verify A_Temp >= A_Temp_1
                                B_Temp >= B_Temp_2
                                C_Oil Pressure  >= C_Oil Pressure_3  etc

  • Can / will  Apple Unlock my iPhone 4 for use with an overseas SIM card?

I have purchased a second hand iPhone 4 which I want to use when I travel overseas using a local SIM card, will my local Apple store be happy to block it so that I can do that or do I need to find a third party unlocking company? I would rather do it through the manufacturer but I am not sure whether this is allowed or not?

If you have purchased the iPhone from someone else and you intend to use it on a differing network the ORIGINAL OWNER MUST DO THE UNLOCK BEFORE SALE as the phone iMEi number is tied to that account and network.
The system is the registered user contacts their Mobile operator confirms iMEI number and pays appropriate fee.
That Mobile operator submits the iMEi number to Apple.
Apple white list iMEi number on their iTunes server and confirms this back to Mobile operator.
The Mobile operator sends the registered user an sms/e-mail inviting them to sync phone via USB cable to their ITunes account.
Registered user follows on screen prompts (With registered sim onboard) until they see the “Congrat's .........” message
The registered sim can now be removed and replaced it with a sim from another supported network.
Caveat with some of the Virtual networks such as Giff-gaff /Virgin/Lebara etc........ you may have difficulty getting SMS/MMS to send due to the APN settings being wrong (They default to the actual network sighted).
Some of those Sims may give you access to a hidden menu feature that allows you to set the correct APN manually however others don't.
Those that don't may mean you only receive SMS/MMS messages.

  • IMessage how many iPhones can you use with the same iMessage account

i have both a phone number in Ecuador and one in the USA when i visit and i want people that write me on my ecuadorian account will be able to write me on my USA phone number too. i assume that since you can push i message to otehr devices you could theoretically do so with two iphone or two iphone lines?
also does imessage works on edge? like everything else?

All my family devices are tied to one Apple ID.  We did that b/c we would consolidate our purchases by syncing via 1 Mac in the house.  So any device could purchase an app/music/whatever, then we would plug it into the main Mac and transfer the purchase to that and then plug in other devices and add to them.  Pain the rear!  I think my example of tedious process above is one reason for iCloud.  So, now with iCloud we should be able to purchase from any device and the other devices would have access without wires.   I thought the only way to tie them all together is if they are all under the same AppleID.  That is how iCloud knows they are related, right?  Makes sense to me.   However, on each device, we use their own @me/@mac email account to setup iCloud b/c each email is tied to that family member but under the master Apple ID for our family.  Each email account has their own contacts, emails, etc.  I thought that was the way to setup.  Shouldn’t this work?  Kind of separate but yet tied together via the 1 Apple ID.  Thoughts?

  • IPop Use with different operating systems Windows And Mac Osx

so the quetion is this can i use my IPod with different Operatin systems?
I have a MacBook at home where i keep all my Music in and at the office i have a Windows network i would like to carry some music from home to the office using my IPod. I thought that a solution is to Partition my Ipod 40G in 2 parts and have one of them FAT so that my Windows operating system can view it.
Did any of you done it? and if so How? did you loose the use of some of the IPod functions?
let me Know if there are ways to carry music using your Ipod from the MacOSX to Windows Prof or home edition thanks!
    Donatello

Your problem has nothing to do with data vs music. Music IS data. I've used my iPod for data and music since the first iPod was released. There's no reason to think the two OS versions are involved either.
Look at your usage practices - and I'm not necessarily suggesting you are abusing your computer. Has one of your computers crashed while the iPod was connected? This could cause data damage that might explain the problem. Have you ever disconnected the iPod without un-mounting it first?
You might also be creating fragmentation problems if you frequently add and remove data files while at the same time adding and removing music. One decision I made when I was using my iPod to transport lots of movies and photos for a project was to NOT make any music changes during that busy two week period.

  • Moving iTunes to a new PC (I have an iPhone that I use with iTunes)

I just just a new PC, it's much better than the old one. Moving the music should be no problem, I think I can just copy all of my music to the new machine using a DVD burner or a external hard drive. How can I actually move all of the other stuff that iTunes does though? For example, my "Applications", and my podcasts. I sync with google mail, so I can just set that all up I guess.
Any tips from anyone that has done this would be MUCH appreciated. My old machine is windows xp, my new machine is windows vista, both 32-bit if that makes a difference.
    Thanks!

The following article tells you how to do it using an iPod.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329?viewlocale=en_US
In fact the method works just as well with an external drive - obviously you don't have to do all the iPod specific stuff.
The basic method is to install iTunes on the new PC and then replace the iTunes folder in the Music which iTunes creates with the iTunes folder from your old PC.
The catch in Vista is that Vista may think that the iTunes from the old PC does not belong to you so you don't get write access.
You have to adjust the permissions for the iTunes folder so your account has full control.

  • My contract with Telcel has expired can I unlock my iphone 3gs to use with other carriers?

I would like to use my old i-phone 3GS while travelling abroad, is it posible to unlock it from the carrier telcel, the 18 month contract is already expired.

Yes, that is the official page on Telcel's website with links to PDFs describing the unlocking procedure, and forms required to complete.
The unlocking procedure includes this reminder: "the 'Official Mexican Standard NOM-184-SCFI-2012' states that cell phones purchased after October 23, 2012—when the rule became effective—must be unlocked for free if you ask." It implies that phones purchased before October 23, 2012 cannot be unlocked.

  • How can I buy a license to use with CF9

I have a client that needs a CF9 license for an additional server.  I know you Adobe doesn't sell them any more.  The cient is willing to buy a CF10 license, but they need to be able to run a licensed copy of CF9.
I just had a chat with someone at contact support, who assured me that there was no way to apply a CF10 license to CF9.
I've got to believe he was misinformed.  Adobe has to know that CF customers don't upgrade the instance a new version comes out and may need some more licenses before the do.

    Ok I found an answer.
