Buying macbook and a printer

So, Apple is making this special offer that when you buy a mac and a printer at the same time, you get up to $100 back via rebate. And I saw this printer that costs $99.95 (Epson Stylus Nx420). So, I'd like to know that if I buy mac + epson printer, i'll really get the printer for free. thanks

Hi, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Do you have a link to an internet page where you saw this offer?
Okay. Found it.
http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/campaigns/printer_promo?mco=MTY4Nzc0NzM
Yep. Just like it says. $100 rebate after you buy the printer and the Mac on the same order at the same time. They have to be on the same invoice, and you will need to fill out the rebate form and comply with the terms and conditions.
http://images.apple.com/promo/pdf/L376656S_PrinterPro_PC25_Web.pdf
You will need to submit your claim through this page:
https://daw.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/DSAuthWeb.woa/wa/login?appIdKey=D633F0C 416E083A5B1861EB9187780000D8547D17A8EEF257D51628F0291F620
In order to get the $100 rebate, it's important to follow the instructions outlined in the terms and conditions to the letter.
Good luck.

  • Buying macbook and 3rd party RAM

I'm thinking about getting the refurb black 512MB MB, and I was wondering if I can upgrade RAM to an extra 1GB, so I would have 1.28GB (1024 + 256) I am thinking of getting a same frecuency one (267MHz).
And I want to know if is possible to do this, or just the 1GB RAM working in one slot, or does the MB requires both slots with RAM to work propertly?.
Any advise of where to get good deals on RAM?
    Thanks...
    n/a   Other OS

Neil got that point right, it is not faster than two identical/matched ram installed, but it still is faster than standard 512 mb.
If you install 2 matched ram let say 2 x 512 = 1 Gb compare to 1 module only 1 Gb, you will have additional around 5% faster since the memory use max throughput, and intel graphic chipset also got the same benefit.
But I think you better use your planned memory configuration, and next time you have more budget, you can buy a matched pair for the previous 1 Gb to make it max to 2 Gb and make your system and graphic chipset happier.
So you don't have too many module wasted.
And for refurbished MAcBook, I'm not againts it, since it already thru apple inspection it must be good condition, but some apple re-seller sites offer mail in rebate for new MacBook with free shipping and tax already included in their price, so total amount almost similar to your refurbished one, it it is your call to make.
    Good Luck

  • I just buy macbook and preinstalled page and keynote and now I free to download Can I have a refund for preinstall

I want to Can I have a refund for preinstalled

But if you bought a Mac before the announcement on 24-Oct with Pages etc pre-installed then you would be charged $20 per app. I think in this case you could get a refund (provided you bought your Mac after 1-Oct). Obviously if you bought after the announcment and therefore you haven't paid anything then there is no refund as you didn't pay anything!

  • Airport extreme: my macbook, cannon wireless printer, ipad and iphone cannot connect to internet when Apple Tv and/or PS3 is connected

Please help!  I have an Airport Extreme (model A1143) as my router, and I have several devices connected to it wirelessly and wired.  I have my Macbook, Macbook Pro, iPad 1, iPhone 4S, HTC Thunderbolt, Cannon wireless printer, and Apple TV (gen 1) connected wirelessly.  I have my PS3, an external hard drive and DirecTV connected via ethernet cable (but sometimes my PS3 is also connected wirelessly).
I began to notice a few months back that my wireless printer had connection errors and could not print.  And I noticed soon after that, from time to time, the internet connection on my Macbook and iPad was extremely slow, to the point that I could not surf the web.  I tried several different printers before realizing that this problem was happening only when I had my PS3 turned on.  I tried both PS3 wirelessly and wired, but the problem persisted.  I figured it was a problem with the PS3, so I just made sure that PS3 is off when I need to use the wireless in the house.  But I recently bought an ATV (gen 1) and also noticed the same problem when it was connected to the Airport Extreme (wirelessly) - i.e., Ican't print, and my internet is super super slow on macbook, ipad, etc.
So, it must be that my Airport Extreme is the problem, not the PS3 or the ATV.  Is there anything I can do to fix this (i.e., some setting that has to be changed)?  Or do you think that my Extreme is just dying out on me and it's time for a replacement (I bought it about 5 years ago)?

This problem, for reasons unknown to me, has resolved itself on its own. After several attempts finally everything decided to work. How does stuff like this happen? Thank you.

I tried to add the printer to my new Macbook, which is connecte to the network, but can't find the printer on the add printer and scan icon on preferences. I downloaded a installation printer utility from the Manufacturer (lexmark), but it didn't work. Any sugestions?
    Thanks,

You would need to get the IP address of your printer then manually add a network print queue.
To get the IP address, on the control panel of your printer, press on Setup > Network Setup > TCP/IP > View/Set IP address.

    Try resetting the printing system:
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
Next try deleting the system and reinstall the printer..

This what I have been trying......  Maybe my eyes are screwed up or don't understand the process....
What I have been trying to do is squint and make the apple disappear by moving the sliders around in each step. Is that correct?

Unless there are drivers provided by Apple to work with the printer, you're out of luck. The latest drivers provided by Lexmark are for OS X 10.4 Intel. Unfortunately, this can happen when slightly older peripherals and newer software don't mesh.

  • I use MACBOOK , APPLE AIRPORT AND EPSON PRINTER. I AAM GETTING MESSAGE "PRINTER OFFLINE". PRINTER WORKS WELL AND INTERNET WORKS WELL. How can I get printer to respond

I use a macbook, apple airport and epson printer. After several printer jobs, I get a message "printer offline". I have tried restarting computer. restarting printer and still cannot connect, I can print directly with a USB cable. How can I connect to my printer via the airport?

Delete the printer in System Preferences and re-add it. You may also want to restart the Airport.

  • Macbook airport extreem and brother printer/scanner DCP-330C

I have macbook airport extreem and brother printer/scanner DCP-330C and everything works fine.
    I can print wireless.
The only thing that irritates me is, when I start my macbook I first see a screen with MFL-ProSuite, I quit then a screen with connect with USB, I quit and then I see a small blue screen.
Is there a way to get rid of these things, so I can start directly with the things I want to do.
    Thanks for the reply.
    Frank

That is something that has to do with the brother software. Doesn't have anything to do with the airport base station.
I would try and Contact brother to see about disabling it.
What I think , is probably because the printer is on the airport not the computer so brothers software is getting confused.
See about deleting just the software and not the drivers. That is if you dont need the software.

I want to buy a new macbook pro 2012 with retina display, can i sell my old macbook and add some more money to buy the new one???
Is there any deal like this?

Apple has a rebuy and recycle program, but you won't get much for your old MBP from that program. Your best bet is to just sell it yourself (I used eBay) and use the money you get to buy your new computer.
    Good luck,
