Buying or renting movies in French language. How to do it?

I am livingin Montreal so my itunes account is linked to Canada. However, in all the movie store I scrolled, I have not seen any movie in French. How can I downdload French speaking movies ?
What happen to the French subscribrs to ITunes. Do they access only English speaking movies ?

Each movie in the iTunes Store is labeled with its language in the information at the left-hand side. What you see is what is available.

It is an Apple isuue same as when you want to buy or download from the iTunes store.
I bought and registered (also credit card from Australia) mi iPhone 4s
Now when I came to Switzerland I should have NOT used my Australian details but registered everything here in Switzerland with Swiss credit card and probably a swiss email account.
My problem is opposite to yours, I can only download movies in English!!!!
What Apple could have done at least is give an option on undertittles so at least some movies are understud. It is no problem for myself but when I have friends over that do not understand the language we have problems.
I have had talks in Apple stores in Zuerich also in smaller Apple outlets, they all know about it as it is a common not problem but nuicance with Apples.
I hope I could shed some light to your problems but I think we can only hope that Apple will change theyr attidude to this **** situation.

Or you can email iTunes Support at iTunes Store Support.
If all else fails:
Go to: Apple Express Lane;
Under Product Categories choose iTunes;
Then choose iTunes Store;
Then choose Account Management;
Press Continue;
Now choose iTunes Store Security and answer the bullet questions, then click Continue;
Sign in with your Apple ID and press Continue;
Under Contact Options fill out the information and advise iTunes that you would like your security/challenge questions reset;

Presently there appears to be problems on Apple's end, so it may be quite some time before they respond.

I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select "done", in the upper right corner
sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the security questions.
At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

No, if you decide to buy it (assuming that it's available to buy in your country) then you will pay the full purchase price, there isn't a discount for having rented it

Is that possible?? i'm curious to know why itunes doesnt have all of their content accessible no matter where your account is located. This thread is from over a year ago. Also, that only applies if you rented via your computer. Hence the 'computers' icon. It is accessing your computers iTunes library via home sharing, not the cloud. Rentals made on other devices can only be viewed on that device.
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

Unable to buy or rent movies

I wanted to rent a movie today but was unable to do so - every single movie's rent or buy option was grey, but everything else TV-series, music etc was available. How can I fix this?

Thanks; I just wanted to confirm that you were using a recent version. Some people have been running iTunes 7 and finding that they couldn't connect to the iTunes Store or that some functions didn't work.
Sorry, I don't have any immediate suggestions. Perhaps someone else here will have an idea.

I've no idea how it got there .. I think the appservd process just dumped it there .. after I saw this I grep'ed the entire set of files in /opt/SUNW* /var/opt/SUNW* /etc/opt/SUNW* for "hefalump" (my unique 'log' key) and it's not in any log file.

you are in another countries store it won't let you purchase by credit card or buy voucher.
You're correct...
Reason being is that your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside. Same goes for iTunes gift cards. They must be redeemed in the same country from which they were purchased.

Rented movies won't delete; how can I get rid of them?

They have been on my iPad longer than 30 days, and I can no longer access them, but they are eating up memory and I can't download anything new. Can't find the files on my computer to erase the files there. I am at a loss. How can i get rid of the movies on my iPad?

Try tapping Videos, swiping your finger across the movie and then tapping delete.
If you can't delete the movie that way, try checking Manually managing music and videos from the iPad Summary tab in iTunes, then click the triangle to the left of the iPad under Devices in iTunes. Then delete the movie from the iPad using iTunes by clicking Movies under the iPad and right-cicking the movie and choosing delete.

Yes. I 'm adding this to the many problems I have experienced since the 3.0/3.01 "upgrade", as I have discussed in several threads here. I purchased "Up" last night, and it plays fine on my Mac. However, the Apple TV gives me the "not authorized" message. I rebooted the ATV, disconnected the HDMI, deauthorized/reauthorized my Mac which is streaming my content to the ATV and rebooted. I am running 2.2 (factory restore after the 3.0/3.0.1 fiasco) on my ATV, and iTunes 9.0.2, Mac OS 10.5.8. No success. Quantum of Solace plays fine, but Good Luck Chuck does not. What a freaking nightmare. This is the first time in my LONG history of Apple products that I have even wavered in my support. I used to sell Mac 512s in the 80's, and love the platform, have used Macs ever since. Apple TV is really starting to wear me down. I sincerely hope we see an upgrade soon but I'm really near the end of rope.

Hi there! Just installed an ATV2.
Love the hardware, the form factor, user interface is very nice as well... BUT
* Where do I choose in what language I want to see a movie rental? I am especially interested in the English original track.
* Where does one toggle close captioning and it's language setting?
Does this product only allow me to rent movies in German language in the German iTunes Store? This would be a severe limitation which would force me to return this device to Apple.

Interesting about that extra menu when you press select during the video play.
It seems that Apple used the "hold Select" action to introduce a several options on Apple TV that are not otherwise obvious. For instance, when reviewing the radio stations (under the "Internet" column), I at first thought there was no way to select a radio station as a "favorite", since there was no "add to favorites" option when you start playing a station. But someone on this forum revealed that if you move the cursor over the station of interest, then HOLD the select button, a small window pops up asking if you want to add the station to your favorites!
Will have to try holding select on other options throughout the UI. Odd that Apple doesn't seem to mention this in the documentation.
