Maybe there's something blindingly obvious that I'm missing here, but I've been going round and round in circles:
I tried to buy Dreamweaver CS6 (download version, full), but when I get to the checkout I'm told I have to order this via Adobe Switzerland. So I go to adobe.ch, click on the purchase link and bingo! I'm back in adobe.com, i.e. back to the US site.
If I could find a viable alternative to DW I'd use it. Adobe is a nightmare to deal with.
Maybe there's a Swiss Adobe forum, but if there is I can't find it because I keep ending up here.

Help for buying mac from abroad

basically i want to buy a mac from the US but i live in england. so it will be posted to a friends auntie in the us and then was going to have her send it to me. but i heard there is high tax price to send it across. so does anyone have any idea how much it will cost? or has someone else done this before? thanks for any advice.

It's a simple matter to call UPS or Federal Express and find out what the shipping costs would be from the US to you. Call your customs office and find out what the duty, import taxes, and VAT would cost.
As Ned has said you will not have a UK configured machine which also means a US keyboard, US version of OS X installed, etc.
You will pay US shipping to your relative's location and US sales tax which averages around 7%. For a Mac Pro's basic price the sales tax will be roughly $175.00 USD and shipping another $40 USD. That totals about $215 USD or around 110 pounds. You will then pay VAT and import taxes plus shipping to the UK which I'm pretty sure will run more than 90 pounds total.
Seems pretty obvious to me that you are better off buying it locally.

The U.S. Store only lets you purchase for items mailed to a physical street address in the U.S. I suspect you'll have to have a physical street address in Malaysia to ship it to, and the credit card will convert Australian currency to the Malaysian currency equivalent at the time the card gets charged, but will appear as an added charge in Austrailian currency. There is often a fee for currency conversion too. Make absolutely certain the Malaysian store has enough stock to ship it to you in Malaysia within your time there, or you may have to have someone ship it to you from Malaysia. You may need to also declare it as a custom charge depending on how expensive the purchase is, when you get back to Australia. Many credit cards have a cap of how big a purchase you can make, and ask you call their call center to temporarily raise the cap until your purchase is finished. Otherwise the charge won't go through.

I have friends in the US and I want them to receive a book I made. Can't I just make the book, upload it, pay for it and have it sent to an US address???
I am trying but I don't think I'll have a pleasant experience. This is what I've done:
1. Made my Book with iPhoto '08
2. Pushed the "Buy Now" button and logged in with my Apple ID
3. Entered my name, my friend's address and MY CC number (VISA, worldwide).
4. Shipping to my friend's address.
5. Uploaded whole 89 pages of the book. Cool!
6. Received email confirmation and request number. Cool!
Now, if I don't cancel within 90 minutes after the request, I am suposed to be good to go. I have this suspicion that Apple will end up telling me my CC couldn't be charged or something.
If this happens, I have just one question: *_What's wrong with my money?_*
Is Apple really afraid that a US American came to my country on vacation, mugged me, stole my CC, went back home and ordered a book???
I hope I'm wrong.

You cannot use other countries itunes stores.
You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country...

In principle you can't. Cross-border sales are not permitted, even in within the "common market".
It's not really down to Apple as there are different rights holders for different regions. If you have access to a Spainish based credit card and are based in Spain then you could, in theory, change stores to make your purchase.

We are users here. This is a user to user support forum. We cannot determine what Apple will do. I can tell you what I already did, the warranty follows the device.

Go to 'Settings'
'Music'
Scroll to the bottom and enter your password to log onto your home sharing
Then connect to iTunes and sync!

I'm not sure why you would think it's reasonable to ask one company to help you with something you bought from another company, especially when you could buy it from the second company to begin with. Not only that, but what "personal setup" do you require that you cannot do for yourself?

Import your music into your iTunes Library
Unpack the iPod
Plug the iPod into your computer and wait for iTunes to see it and perform a Sync.
Disconnect the iPod.

If you have specific issues with importing your music (for example), then this forum is the place to ask, not an Apple store.
If you're that desperate, and have no friends who could help you, then buy the iPod from an Apple store. You will of course, have to take your computer into the store for this to be of any use to you. And I'd book an appointment with the store first, because if you simply turn up while they're busy...

According to the terms of sale, you have to be in your country of residence in order to make a purchase. I've heard of people able to make purchases outside their country and also of people being unable to do so. It appears that Apple's enforcement is not 100%.
In order to buy from the U.S. iTunes Store, you would need to have a valid billing address in the U.S., a credit card billed to that address or an iTunes Gift card purchased in the U.S. and be physically present in the U.S. at the time of purchase.
International copyright law is currently very inconvenient for the consumer.

You cannot.
You cannot use another countrys itunes store.
You must be physically locates inside the borders of a country to use that countrys itunes store and a credit card issued in that country with a valid billing address in that country.
The owners of the distribution rights of movies/music/etc differ by country. These distributors decide who can sell their content in that country.
Buy from another source if your countrys itunes store does not carry somehting that you want.

You may have installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
