Buying songs and AOL?

Hey all: So, I have ALWAYS used my AOL screen name to buy songs on iTunes, and I have never had any problems with it. But just recently i went to purchase a song, and I am not able to. I checked my AOL email, AIM (both which use the same name as the one I use for iTunes) and nothing works! Any ideas?

Sorry, but Apple has apparently not yet been able to obtain rights to sell music and movies in India, and since the content owners will not allow cross-border sales, you cannot use another country's iTunes Store. You'll have to look for another download store in India, if any exist (and if they sell content in a form that iTunes can accept).

Other people have been having similar problems with songs over the last few days, I assume that there has been a problem with Apple's servers.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting them from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

I got first iphone 5 and after trying to set up itunes to phone I ended up with all my daughters contacts from her iphone on my iphone. I then deleted them from my phone one by one and now they are gone from her phone as well. How does she get them back on hers and what happen???? Help with cloud!

That's what happens when you share the same iCloud account. First, migrate his phone to a different iCloud account using a different ID (you can continue to share the same ID for other services such as iTunes if you want). To do this, on his phone save any photo stream photos that he wants to keep to his camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If he are syncing notes with iCloud that he wants to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to him so he can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in his new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; this won't effect your phone), provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create his new account and choose Merge to upload the data. After doing this, he can go to icloud.com and safely delete your data from his new account.
Then, if your contacts were on your phone when you last backed it up to iCloud, you can restore them by following Winston Churchill's user tip here: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4841. This involves turning off your wifi after your phone restarts during the restore process, then saving the contacts on your phone and deleting them from iCloud prior to turning your wifi back on and allowing the restore process to finish. You can turn off your wifi either by pulling the cord out of the WAN port in your wifi router, or by simply unplugging it.

If you've forgotten your answers to your security questions then you can get them reset : If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions
If you have a credit card on your account then its details have to complete - and asking for their details is also a way of checking that you have a valid billing address in that country. As long as you are buying content for yourself and not trying to gift content (you can't use your balance for gifting) then the purchase price (plus any applicable taxes) should be deducted from your balance. You can buy ONLY from the itunes store of your country of residence ( proven by the billing address on your credit card) AND ONLY while inside the borders of that country.

I Have never had any issues and I spend money on a game I'm playin, because I have that right and work for my money. Why now am I getting this when I have almost 500 songs and tons of apps?? - go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
- click on your country's flag
- click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column

If the card has been redeemed onto your account then you shouldn't need to re-enter it - I've never had to re-enter any of mine, and once a card has been redeemed it effectively becomes zero, it's value should be added to your balance. What is happening when you try to buy the song ?

ITunes on 2 diff PCs - buying songs and transferring

My ipod is linked to my home pc. If I were to install itunes at the office and purchase some songs, could I get them to my itunes at home to put on my ipod?

You can authorize up to 5 machines (this doesn't include iPods, only computers).
When you buy a new song from iTunes Store, it will only be downloaded once and to the correspondent computer, where you bought it. After all, if you want to transfer that song to other computer, you'll need to do it manually (using, for example, your iPod) or automatically (using a local network).

Cant buy music and cant redeem card

i cant redeem a new music card or in other words i cant get to the redeming page in the music store. i have enough left in my account for one more song so when i found the song that i wanted i clicked "buy song" and came up with and error reading "itunes could not connect to the music store. a secure network connection could not be established. check that your computers date and time are correct and try again." this is really starting to get me mad, i called the apple store guys or what ever their help line is and they told me to come here for help. someone please help me. and one more thing i just did two diffrent viris checks for my computer and i wiped everything off which there wasent much of anyway. i think it might be time to get a mac for myself.

I can't buy songs because error 11503 occurred

I tried to buy songs and whenever I tried, the error message popped up, saying "error 11503 occurred and try later".
So I tried to go into my iTunes account and send a message or something, but I can't do that either. It says "503 service unnavilable".
Aaarrrhh, what is wrong with iTunes?

Here's a possible fix for Error 11503 and for error 50.
It worked for me and hopefully it will work for you.
I believe this error is caused by the incomplete downloading of either an update to an app, or perhaps a big music file. In my case it was caused by closing the lid on my laptop when I was downloading app updates on a very slow internet connection in a hotel.
Anyway, here is what I did that fixed it completely.
Close iTunes.
Go to this folder : /iTunes/Mobile Applications/Downloads
You'll find tmp files there. Drag them out of this folder to a temporary folder on your desktop. The Downloads folder should now be empty.
Restart iTunes.
All should be fine.
If it's not, then I can't help further, but that's what worked for me.

My Itunes won't let me buy apps or songs, and I can't even download the free ones

Hello. I have an iphone 5. Iv'e had it scince May of 2013 (this year). I really haven't had any problems before with Itunes, but I can't buy songs or apps, and I cannot even download the free apps! I have recently got an Itunes gift card for Christmas, and I put it into my Iphone, and Itunes says I have the money from the gift card. I started to notice this when I was my grandparent's house a few days ago for Christmas, and it wouldn't let me get an app, even though it was free. I thought it was because of a diffent type of WiFi or because I was at a different place, but when I got home, it still wasn't working. Whenever I try to buy or download something, it says, "Verification Info." I click continue, and it says that I need to buy money with a credt card, even though I have money in my account! This has also happend to my sister (she has an iphone 4). Please help!

If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

If you didn't establish a rescue email address, you will need to call applecare support. Ask for account security to reset your security questions. After the advisor is able to verify your identity, they can reset your security questions.
