Buzzing sound & now its dead

I was listening to music as usual, although earlier in the day the battery ran completely out and as i was at home i just plugged it into the mains while i was using it. and then about 2 songs later the music stopped, and it started buzzing, now its completely dead- nothing on the screen. at first, i think it was making the clicking noises when i tried pressing any of the buttons, but now there is nothing.
has this happened to anyone else, and is there anything i can do to fix it, or is it completely dead?

This doesn't sound good. If you've tried the usual things of resetting the iPod, and/or restoring the iPod, then it may need service.
Try restting with it plugged into power.

TS1383 My iPod touch charging pins are broken, but it still charged, now, its dead and it wont! Please help! It wont charge!

A few of my ipod touch pins were broeken, but it charged just fine, i had to keep it plugged in all the time though. Two days ago, even though it was plugged in, it died. Ive tried every outlet and cord, but it just wont charge. it turns on, the apple logo comes up, then it dies. it shows the dead battery sign once in a while, but wont charge. i tred plugging it up to my computer last night to charge it, but it still didnt charge. please help me!

Deleted all content on my xperia. Including the operating system. Now its 'dead'

I unlocked my bootloader and install Cyanogenmod. I realized that i wanted to go back to the normal xperia experience. When i wanted to delete cyanogenmod and install the original software but i deleted some wrong files and now my phone is dead. I cant turn it on the screen stays black but my led at the top still light when i but in the charger.

Just follow all the steps given in the link:
Copy the Customization.ini file. You find it in the Flash_tool_for_Xperia_X.zip.
Paste the Customization.ini file into the installation folder. The installation folder is the folder named Emma in the installation path examples on point 3.1 and 3.2 above

Can i get my pics onto my icloud now its dead water damage or are they lost forever?

my ipone got dropped in water and is now dead can i get the pictures of somehow? i have icloud but didnt set it up properly as nothing saved onto it help needs pic back of my newborn the only ones i havve are on my phone xx

This is unfortunate. I'm sorry to hear about the damage to your iPhone.
The iCloud backup would not contain your photos. But since you indicate you didn't set it up correctly then none of your other stuff would be there either.
If you did have PhotoStream turned on some of your photos might reside there. The PhotoStream is a temporary storage area that allows quick transfer of photos from device to device or device to computer. If you get a new iPhone and use the same ID and password on it you might be able to recover some of your photos there. On a Mac iPhoto can also be used to copy photos from your PhotoStream.
If you regularly back up your photos to your computer then they would reside there. In the future it would be a good idea to begin a regular process of backing up photos, files and other important things from your iPhone.

IPad 3 was ok charged it and now its dead. How do you reset the device?

My iPad is dead. Holding the home button doesn't start the device. It was ok about 4 hours ago and I then put it on charge. Now it appears dead. Is there a way to reset it?

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds after which the Apple logo will hopefully appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

IPod Crashed During Sync And Now Its Dead...

Hi guys,
While syncing my other ipod touch to my computer, i don't know how it happened, but the ipod crashed, and then froze. iTunes said the sync had completed, but the ipod still displayed a frozen 'sync in progress screen'. I hard reset it because it was the only thing that i could do. Now, all that is displayed is an apple logo, however, it does show up in itunes.
Is a restore required? Please advise...

Power shows charging then not, putting ibook to sleep, now its dead

I noticed the other day my ibook shut off while using it.
I noticed the plug changed from green and amber pretty quickly.
At the same time the menu bar shows the battery empty and switches to an icon I think meant it was charging, an empty arrow with an x maybe?.
It kept going to sleep while I was trying to shut it down.
I finally had to force quit it to go to sleep.
I then looked at thee battery light and when pressed it was blinking green.
This morning the charger is showing amber.
The battery light when pressed is blinking green.
I reset the pmu, plugged up the ibook, and hit power button...
Acted like it was going to start up but instead went to sleep with amber light.
Does anyone know what I need to do?

The single flashing light means that your battery has very little charge. If you never get the battery to a point where all the lights light up, it may be that your battery is no longer capable of accepting a charge. I believe the "X" icon indicates that the battery is not charging. The charging icon should be a lightning bolt. A fully charged battery will have a little plug in it.
Check the battery information in the System Profiler. If you have more than 300 cycles and your battery will not accept a charge, it may just be worn out.
Also, you might try removing the battery completely and see if the iBook will start up just using the power adaptor. If it does, then the presence of a dying battery may be part of the problem. The iBook should be able to run from the power adaptor alone.
It's also possible the problem could lie with the power adaptor. The best way to find out is to use a power adaptor that is known to be good. If you have access to an Apple Store, make an appointment with the genius bar and see if one of their adaptors will charge your battery. If it won't, then the problem is likely the battery. If their adaptor will charge your battery, then you may have a faulty adaptor.
A final possibility is a bad DC In board. Since you don't mention any difficulty with the adaptor plug or socket, it doesn't sound like that would be the problem here. It's more likely to be the battery or the power adaptor.

Sorry if repeating-downloaded required update....now its dead as a stump

If this is a repeat I apologize...Im new to this forum trying to get help and I think I accidentally posted in the wrong place last time...getting old ugh
I downloaded the required update and poof no more ipod. I have reset more times than my fingers care to remember and still nothing. It is flashing on and off a black screen with white apple and making a very scary noise when it does. Why did the update fry me????

It is a little confusing, and I'm not exactly sure what is going on from your description, so I'll just explain how Aperture manages files and hopefully it will help.
Only Projects contain actual images, everything else (albums, smart albums, books, etc.) is simply referencing the Master Images in the Projects. These referenced images, called Versions, each have their own set of metadata, but are not actual images (until you export them).
So, if you drag an image from one Project into an Album of another Project, Aperture creates a version, or reference, to the Master Image in the first Project. The Master Image only moves if you drag it into a Project from another location.
What I do is maintain a Project called Keepers. Everytime I come back from a shoot, I import the images into a Project that is named as the date the images were taken. I then go through the images I imported and make adjustments. Next, I create an Album (named with the event or date) in the Keepers Project and drag the images I want to keep from the origianl Project I imported to, to the Album I created for that event/date in the Keepers Project. Finally, I drag those same images to the actual Keepers Project which moves the Master Images.

Just finished making a phone call. Noticed I needed to update apps. Started that. Put the phone in my pants pocket. Minutes later heard a steady buzzing sound. It was my iphone. I pressed the phone, the screen was black. I tried turning it off from the top: it would not turn off. It kept buzzing. The Iphone went dead. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue where my iPhone just died on me even though it had plenty of battery left. I was told to do a hard reset by holding the lock and home buttons down together for 15 seconds. When I did my phone came back on and worked normally.

There is no way to remotely track or disable an iPod nano, either for you or Apple. As it can't connect to the Internet on its own, Find my iPhone isn't available for it.

Make an appointment at your local apple store and have them look at it.
Have you tried to charge it? Plugged into the wall with the supplied power brick. If the battery is dead it'll remain off until it gets enough power to turn on.
So before you try the apple store you can try plugging it in, maybe over night, and see if that helps. If that doesn't, make the appointment and let the pros look at it.

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again
