Buzzing sound when I play a note...

With Garageband (1) I suddenly, and for no apparent reason developed a problem. Whenever I played a note it would buzz. I don't have the same problem with Pro-tools and I'm using the same keyboard and everything. So I bought Ilife 5' thinking that would solve the problem. Not so. Same buzz sound on every instrument and every key etc. I've tried dumping the instruments and reloading, restarting, etc. etc. Anybody have any ideas?

Sorry to be vague. Okay, I have an Imac G4, and an MAudio keystation 49 plugged into the mac via USB. A very simple set-up. It worked great for a long time on Garageband 1. I made some really cool songs then all of a sudden this buzzing sound. You can barely hear the instruments (Garageband's instruments) under the buzz. In addition to this, I also work with Pro-Tools and an M-Box. I can play Sample-Tank instruments (a plug-in) with the Keystation in Pro-Tools with no problem, but I still love working with GarageBand. As I said I bought the new Ilife suite but have had no improvement with the sound in GarageBand. I run my sounds out to the M-Box via USB, then to a small Mackie mixer and onto the monitors. The fact that I can play Sample-Tank instruments with no problem in Pro-Tools tells me that the problem I'm having with Garageband's instruments are somewhere in Garageband. Does that make any sense? This should solve the problem
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
It will not erase any of your personal data, just reset the settings.

My midi keyboard is playing multiple sounds when I press a key. Like when I play a note on the piano preset, there is a snare hit or a shaker that plays along withe the note. Is there a setting I need to change to get rid of it?

this recently happened, never had the problem before. I've restored my midi keyboard to factory settings but the problem persists. I go into garage band and click on the piano preset, but when I play a note it plays multiple instruments. Say I hit the C note On my keyboard, it plays the C note, but along with it is a snare hit or a shaker. And this is for every note. It seems as though the keyboard has its own setting, but I've tried resetting it. Again it's never happens before, just recently is there a way to get rid of that background sound? It's very dufficu to make music with multiple instruments playing in one note!

If it happens again the make sure that you aren't suppressing website colors.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

After ios5 update, I am not getting any sound when I play music (iphone speakers or headphones). I get sound from games, previewing songs in iTunes, etc. Any idea why? I've resynced and shut down my phone and that didnt help.

because i am facing the below issue in my car.
the phone minimizes the volume of airplay and the ringing to 0 when connecting to a device (BT headset or car kit)
upon disconnecting, the ringing tone remains 0 and i miss all or most of my calls.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Stream 13 buzzing sound when playing music. Have you restarted the Notebook without the headphones and external HDMI removed?
Here is a link to resolve headphone and speaker issues in Windows 8. Using the Microsoft troubleshooting tool to be the most helpful.
Please make sure your updates have been done on the Notebook. In the device manager under sound right click and update the driver. Here is another step to try.
1. Right click the Speaker icon in the bottom right corner by your time.
2. Click Playback Devices.
3. Click Speakers/Headphones.
4. Click Properties.
5. Click the Advanced tab on the Properties window.
6. Change the Default Format drop-down to the highest quality.
7. Apply the properties.
8. Click OK to close the properties window.
9. Click OK to close the Playback Devices.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system at the time of purchase.

I have no sound when I play videos with the windows 7 system . I had sound with videos with my old laptop that had windows vista. that I put on a fladsh drive and new videos that I have taken with my smart phone HTC sprint hasno audio

Then install iStat Menus 4.04 so you can provide us with some temperature and fan speed data.
What about before you start the game? After you start the game do this:
Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. Select All Processes from the Processes dropdown menu. Click twice on the CPU% column header to display in descending order. If you find a process using a large amount of CPU time (>=70,) then select the process and click on the Quit icon in the toolbar. Click on the Force Quit button to kill the process. See if that helps. Be sure to note the name of the runaway process so you can track down the cause of the problem.
If it's the game causing the problem then either something is wrong with the game or it's not compatible with Lion.

And no, if your phone is vibrating when you get texts/calls then you're not in Do Not Disturb. You would see a Crescent Moon symbol to the left of Battery % if it was on.

Buzzing sound when plugging in guitars

I've been getting this buzzing sound when I plug in any electric guitar or bass into my computer's audio input. This used to happen only when I used my telecaster, and I figured it was just the make, but now it's happening with my other electric and to basses to... it also varies in volume depending on the day.

Buzzing and hum can be caused by a lot of things. Your tele was probably getting the buzz from a single coil pickup.
First make sure it's not your guitar cable, it's a long wire just like a antenna and can pickup stray noises from RF and electromagnetic devices.
Bad ground in your guitar or bad solder joint guitar or cable.
Move things around lights, speakers, TVs, computers and just about anything electrical can cause noise.

Hey guys would really appreciate your help.
I bought a HP laptop in January which started to make buzzing sounds when playing audio from iTunes and YouTube as well. I thought the laptop was faulty so I returned it.
I then got an exchange and instead got a hp-15-d051sa and it does the same thing! I have looked everywhere on these forums to resolve this issue and one source said to uninstall the HP assistant but my laptop is still doing it. It happens on both my speakers and headphones.
Any help will be much appreciated because this has happened on two brand new HP laptops so I'm sure this is happening to other people as well.

Same with me nothing has changed. However what reduces it for me is if you change your battery settings to high performance. But it still does it, you will just find it will do it less.

well i'd seriosly say point a hot hair drier at the speakers as water has entered the phone most commonly via the home button but avoid getting it too hot let it cool every 3 minutes after constant drying. Don't worry I have honestly dont this with my iPhone 4 GSM 16GB. For future reference avoid letting it get wet.
