Bw 3.5

Question

hi all,
       i am very new in bw 3.5 i want to featch the data from r3 to bw for this i create source system in bw 3.5 every thing is ok but when i activate the data source in r3 and replicate that data source in bw
then result : data source not replicate in bw
can anybody tell what's reason behind it.
i follow this procedure : 1 - in r3 rsa5 select the data source and transfer the data source.
2- in bw i replicate the data source. but data source not  activated in bw.
when i am create rfc in bw system
i assign these things in it: 1-rfc destination name : logical system name of r3
                                      2- in logon security i assign dialog user means simple user not rfc user and its password i think this is wrong for this i think i make rfc user  r3 system.
plz send any replay realated to this

Make sure you source system is connected properly. right click on the source system and check and if that gives error try to fix that. When you create logical systems, you can test it and let you connect from R/3 to BW and from BW to R/3, if it doesn't work both ways, still the setting is not correct.
This setting needs to be done by basis, and you may direct the question to the basis forum.
