BW-BPS Dual Currency Display

Dear All,
Any suggestions on the following.
We have a transactional cube that stores data in GBP.  Some of our users ould like to update values on a planning layout in Euros.
We are using the std BW translation for reports and we think we know how to convert the entered Euro values into GBP.
However we are stuck when it comes to displaying Euro values on the planning layout.
Any suggestions.
Thanks for your thoughts
Tony

Hi Tony,
As Gerd said, BPS cannot do currency translation on the fly as BW.  If you really need planning functionalities in multiple currencies, two options I have used in the past are:
1. introduce 0curtype (Currency Type) if we need the flexibility to plan in either company code currency (10) or Group currency (30) or controlling area currency (20) or another specific currency type (i.e a equivalent currency).  You need to add currency translation functions to keep them in synch with translation.
2. If I have limited number of key figure(s) that need the multiple currency functionality, have also used multiple currency key figures such as local currency and another currency for group currency.
Hope this helps,
Mary

  • Customer account statement has issue with dual currency.

    Hello Experts,
As per your clients requirement we have modified the form for customer account statement for ETHIOPIA.
In the requirement we have asked to get the opening balance of the customer. For example we are running the report for the period 01.03.2010 to 31.05.2010. In this case client what us to display the balance up to 28.02.2010 as opening balance, where we are using the function module BAPI_AR_ACC_GETKEYDATEBALANCE to bring the opening balance.
Know your issue is when we are doing this process the account ageing for opening balance is not getting displayed in the customer account statement. When we followed the standard functionally then it was working fine. But the issue comes when there is a dual currency for some of the customers where we are getting two accounts ageing for two different currencies. To void this we have taken the arrear field from FBL5N report as base so that we can have single account ageing, which was working fine. But in this process no account ageing is getting displayed for opening balance.
Can someone help me on this issue?
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi,
Sorry we have done that and not successful in find the solution. Any other solution.

  • Invoices in Dual Currency

    Experts,
We are moving transaction data from a non-sap system to a sap system and because of some limitations, we have to hard code both the currencies i.e enter it both in Co Cd and Group currencies instead of system determining the values of grp currency.
What are my options of achieving this ?
All answers/views/opinions would be duly appreciated and rewarded with points.
    Thanks,
    Nandita

    Hi,
My understanding is basically entering amount in dual currency is only for legacy data. Once, the system goes live system will automatically determine the group currency value.
When you are entering the legacy data using FB01 or F-02, after the line item data is entered click on more data and this will display the group currency value. Here you can change the value. Also check the foreign exchange rate variation as specified in transaction code OBY6 - Company Code global settings.
    Thanks
    Murali.

  • Dual Thunderbolt Displays in Windows 7? Retina Macbook?

I understand you cannot daisy chain thunderbolt displays in Windows 7 to have dual monitors? Is there another way to run Dual monitors? I have a mid 2012 Macbook pro with on Thunderbolt display. I see the Retina Macbook has two thunderbolt ports. If I got one of those, could use dual Thunderbolt displays then in Windows 7, and then just hook each monitor up to it's own Thunderbolt port instead of daisy chaining?

No, you still cannot drive 2 Thunderbolt Displays in Windows with the MBP Retina.
However, you can use 1 Thunderbolt display (for USB hub and LAN connection), and then use 1 Cinema display as the 2nd screen. You can chain the USB ports, but not the displays, so you do have 1 extra connection to the MBP, but that's fine.
Windows 7 will drive this setup without problems.

  • Can I use dual 24" displays as an extended desktop with my MacBook?

I have a 2.4 GHz MacBook I purchased this summer. I was considering using it for my desktop needs, but I need to have a two-monitor extended desktop. I don't particularly care for the thought of using the notebook's monitor in addition to the 24" display. I'd rather have dual 24" displays, but in talking with the "chat" line on the store website, they said this is impossible to have an extended desktop this way. I'm stubborn and can't help but think that is not impossible with the appropriate work-around.
    Suggestions? Thoughts?
    Thanks so much.

The only option for dual external displays on a Mac laptop is the Matrox DualHead2Go. But with a MacBook, you could only get a maximum of 1024x768 on the two montors, a completely waste of a 24" monitor IMO.

  • Remembering windows positions when switching from/to dual screen display

    Hello,
Most of the time, a second LCD screen is plugged in my Macbook and configured as the main display. When I arrange the windows, I keep iTunes or my mail application maximized on the macbook screen and use the bigger external screen for all other windows.
If I unplug the external display, all the windows are of course moved to the laptop display. When I plug again the external screen, all the windows are moved to the external display. But I would like the iTunes and mail application to remain on the laptop screen.
Is there any utility to remember the windows positions and arrange them automatically when I switch from/to single/dual-screen display?
    Regards,
    Raph

Would DisplayWatcher do what you want? I came across this a couple of weeks ago but haven't had the chance to try it out yet.

  • Dual video displays?

I have a late 2012 Mac Mini. I want to run dual video displays, but do not want to spend $2,000 on Apple displays. What are my options? I was told that I could only use one of the display outputs at a time.

The infomation you receive was bogus. You can connect one dispay to the HDMI port directly or using the MDMI to DVI adopter.
You can connect another monitor to the Thunderbolt port using an Mini-display port (it connects to the Thunderbolt port) to DVI, VGA HDMi, Display port adopter.
*This model simultaneously supports 1920x1200 on an HDMI or a DVI display (using the included HDMI-to-DVI adapter) and2560x1600 on a Thunderbolt or Mini DisplayPort display or even a VGA display (with an optional Mini DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter, which is compatible with the Thunderbolt port).

  • Problem with dual currency when working with AMEX and VISA

    Hi all,
We are in process of implementing SAP travel on demand with integration of AMEX and VISA corporate cards. Paymentric was in charge of our configuration and the information is comming to our system now.
As per our set up, the statements are being procesed with errors, due the currency we are receiving the charges is USD instead of country home currency. Example -> Argentinian employee travel to Brazil, and paid with BRL currency. We are receiving the statements in USD instead of BRL (There is a validation in the tool which cannot process statements in other than local currency)
I spoke with AMEX and VISA representatives, and both says that they work with dual currency model, so changing the currency in the statements is not a possibility.
Are we missing something in the config? I was reading information and discover that other countries like China are having same issue.
    Thanks for your help,
    Hernán

    Hi Hernán,
credit card statements usually contain two currencies:
    1.   1. Local Currency: if the Argentinian employee travels to Brazil and buys something there, the local currency would be BRL
    2.   2. Billed Currency: this is the currency in which the credit card is billed (according to the credit card setup). Each transaction is converted to the billed currency in case of foreign transactions.
Cloud for Travel and Expenses knows for each employee exactly one home currency. An expense report is always processed with home currency.
Up to release 1502 it is not possible to import credit card transactions if the credit card billed currency does no match the employee’s home currency (there is no restriction to the local currency).
As of release 1505 this is possible, but it has to be activated in Business Configuration:
Travel and Expenses -> Expense Reimbursement -> Expense Input Channels -> Group: Credit Card -> Do you want to import credit card transactions with a credit card currency that differs from the home currency of the employee?
In addition, you must use the new posting interface "SAP ERP Financials Using IDoc (with extensibility)". If you detect settlement deviations or differences on the reconciliation or credit card account (split payment) due to the currency exchange rates in your financial system, you can correct this situation by implementing BAdIs in the ERP system.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Ralph

  • Currency display in a separate cell

    Hi BI experts,
I have a question about currency display in BI reporting. In BI reporting, the currency amounts are shown with the amount and currency together in one cell, such as 500 EUR, etc. But my current request is to split this into two cells, so 500 is in one cell, and EUR in another cell. Does anyone know where can I configure to achieve this?
Points will be awarded for helpful replies. Thanks.

    Hi Bhanu,
I didn't quite get what you mean - did you mean that I create a new selection, where I include my KF as well as the currency field? If I just do this without anything else, it's essentially the same as having the KF alone, as I am not putting any filtering conditions on the currency field. If you mean I should create a selection and put only the currency InfoObject, the query will be incorrect as no KF is specified in the selection.
Would appreciate if you can clarify further on this. Thanks.

  • Dual Monitor display/firmware difference

I purchased a Pavilion 27xi monitor from the HP Shopping site in October 2014 and purchased an additional 27xi to be used in a dual monitor setup. I received the new monitor this week. The newer monitor does not match the color/white of my existing monitor. When I move a white rectangle so it displays on each monitor, on the new monitor it appears as greenish gray instead of the white of the older monitor. I have done the factory resets, switched display adapter outputs (NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT), tried one monitor at a time on either adapter output. All with no change in the behavior of the new monitor. The internal setup/control menus of the monitors differ in content and style/color.
Older monitor info:  manuf: April 2014, Rev: RIM111
New monitor info:   manuf: Dec 2014,  Rev: RIM232
I have talked with HP "support" and one person thought it was because of the revision level difference.
I want the display quality of the older monitor, Rev: RIM111.  If the monitor difference is because of the revision level, can the newer monitor be put at the RIM111 level. I tried to purchase a monitor with the RIM111 level and was told by HP Shopping that they do not have any at that level. I this a firm level that can be changed? If so how do I accomplish that?

I understand that the newest monitor you have connected to your desktop computer does not match the color/white of the existing display, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To ensure that your system is properly configured for dual monitor displays, I recommend following the steps in this document on Using Two or More Monitors with One Computer (Windows 8). If everything is setup accordingly, I recommend following the steps below for the newest monitor:
Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it
Step 6. Try a different cable connecting your monitor to your computer
If the above steps did not resolve your issue you can try the monitor on a computer or other device to see if the issue persists. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region.

  • Native white point for Mac on Dual 23" Displays

I just tried yet again to calibrate my Dual 23" displays and get rid of a yellow cast that showed up from calibration ****.
The monitors are pretty close in color and I am using the Eye One Match Display calibrator. This unit is a couple years old (When I check it tells me I am using the latest version- 3.62) but I believe it to be functioning OK.
The read out I get as a summery of the calibration process is : Target>N.W.P versus Current>2300K.
So in order to figure out if I am close , I am asking what should be the actual value in color temperature of "Native White Point" on this hardware (G5,x800xt, 23"Cinema Display)

You could get a 400 to 800 FireWire adapter
    <http://www.sonnettech.com/product/fw_adapter.html>
and use the FireWire 800 port, or just leave it unplugged if you don't need the FireWire ports on both monitors.
