BW Conversion Rountine Version Mgmt

Hi,
We have just upgraded BW release 3.0B to SP level 28.
After the upgrade, we realized that the customized infosource transfer/conversion routine seems to have been overwritten and we could not find or retrieve the last transfer/conversion routine codes before the upgrade.
1. Is there anyway to retrieve the last version of customized conversion routine and re-import into the system?
2. Is there any version management for BW transfer & update rules/routines/infopackages setup?

Thanks for the reply.
This is actually our first BW upgrade and right now our development, test & production system have all been upgraded. In all the systems, the customized routine can't be found.
We managed to identify an old transport performed in 2002 (prior to upgrade) which seems to contain the customized routine. We had tried re-importing into the test system but it ended in errors as the datasource, source system and infopackages in the old transport does not exist anymore.
Seems like the customized conversion routine has been deleted or somehow overwritten after upgrade.
We are trying to find other means to recover the customized routine prior to upgrade. Is there any other ways of retrieving?

Check if this related to table locks, go to SM12 and give EDDIC and see if there are any lock entries, if so delete them and reprocess the idoc...

Version o ok check box both
then give the version relelavance changes .
there u give the corresponding fileld name for which u need the versions to be updated.

GLMAST01: Receiver exists , No filters , No conversion , No version change

Hello All,
I have explored forum for related messages and couldn't find the reason for IDOCs getting stuck in ECC with error as "GLMAST Receiver exists , No filters , No conversion , No version change" Status 30.
We executed program RBDSEGLM and 1900 IDOcs were selected, 1100 went successfully to SAP PI system with status code as 03 but 800 got stck. When I run these IDOCs using BD87, WE19 or report RSEOUT00, they are sent successfully.
Experts, please share views on reason behind IDOcs being stuck in ALE layer with status as 30 and the possible break-fix solution to avoid these.

Idoc Status 30 means--IDoc ready for dispatch
Also check in your partner profile under the outbound parameter for your message if the output mode is set as Transfer Idoc Immediately or Collect Idoc. your problem is certainly due to the fact that "collect idoc" option is set.
All the idocs will get collected and sent once the report (RSEOUT00) is scheduled or manually triggered by transaction BD87.
Change the option to "Transfer Idoc Immediately" or schedule the output program are your two solutions.

Problem with file conversion from version 9.2.2 to version 10.1.0.71

Hello everyone.
I have a problem. In my database, i have a lot of artwork done with indesign 9.2.2. Since a while now I upgraded indesign and now I have the latest version 10.1.0.71 but I can't open my indesign artwork made with indesign 9.2.2.
When I try, a dialog box appear and says : " La conversion a échoué : les données du fichier ne correspondent pas aux données attendues".
What should I do ?

Hi,
Ideally all files created in 9.2.2 should open fine in versions greater than itself.
Did you happen to have some 3rd party plugin in 9.2.2 which is missing in 10.1 ? That can be one of the reasons for such errors.
Are the files still opening in version 9.2.2? (assuming you still have 9.2.2)
If there are no 3rd party plugins involved you can share the file with us at [email protected] and we can have a look and figure out the cause of the problem.

Excel to PDF Conversion in Version 11

Is there anyone else have a problem with Excel conversion to PDF and then the colours don't pull through to PDF on Version 11 of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

You've probably got two options to make a PDF from Excel, a button in a toolbar, or print to eh Adobe PDF writer. Try whichever one you're not using now and see if that helps.

PO Version Mgmt Control by Text Type

Hi -
We currently have Version Management active for Purchase Order for when 'Item Text' is changed/updated on the purchase order, yet Version Management does not invoke for other purchase order item/header texts changes.
Does anyone know where in configuration this control is set for purchase order text types?

System takes fields of tables EKKO, EKPO, EKET and ADRC into account.

Planning Version Mgmt

Hello Gurus -
I have a few questions in planning version management. Appreciate if you can help me out.
Scenario: I have some planning data in the active version 000 and I have used "/SAPAPO/VERCOP - Copy Planning Version" to create a new version 001. Now I have the same data in both 000 and 001.
Then I went on to change some planning data in 001 to do my what if analysis and I arrived at a final plan which I want to see in 000.
Question: How do I do this? Since we cannot just copy it back to 000. Do we have to replan it in 000? Or do I have to delete the existing 000 and then copy/create 001>000? How is this normally done?

I am copying order series data, so I would be using the merge functionality. However the help document says :
SNP orders are not permitted to be published directly into the SAP R/3 system. Communication with the SAP R/3 system is only permitted to take place using the Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) component. The system performs a technical check of the corresponding Customizing for this.
It is not permitted for any releases to be made into or out of SNP until all the planning versions that came from an active version have been copied back into this active version.
AND when I tried to copy my simulation version results back into the active version, system does not let me do it and gives a message " Function not possible because of transfer to OLTP systems" and says I should try avoiding transfer to OLTP system.
But I do need to transfer the Preqs(both SNP and Deoplyment and POs from TLB) to R/3 and my SPRO settings for " Configure Transfer to OLTP System" is setup in such a way that I transfer all output of SNP/DEP/TLB to R/3.
Any idea what could be done here?

Sun Java Version Mgmt, Which Version, Deployment Methods

All,
We are preparing to deploy the Enterprise Portal NW04s (7.0). We've realized that we have many different versions of Sun/Microsoft Java deployed around the organization. I'm looking for advice around a few questions.
1. Which version of Sun Java should we standardize on? We're assuming the latest which is 1.6.0_03.
2. How have other organizations deployed this? Batch scripts, logon scripts?? We do NOT have SMS or other deployment tools.
3. Is there a way to auto detect when launching the portal if someone has the right java JRE and if not to prompt them for an upgrade?

JVM of end users should not create trouble. Any JVM should do good in most cases. For portal users, browser version matters the most.

Cisco Aironet Conversion Tool Version 2.1 for Cisco IOS Software

I am trying to convert a LWAP to Cisco IOS and the tool wants to know the Admin Name*? This is a factory radio sent to me as LWAP. I cannot seem to find out what the Admin Name is, I have tried Admin and Cisco not sure what else to try.

That tool is used for the IOS to LWAPP upgrade only. The AP can be converted back to Autonomous (IOS) using the following method;
Reverting the Access Point Back to Autonomous Mode

You can convert an access point from lightweight mode back to autonomous mode by loading a Cisco IOS Release that supports autonomous mode (Cisco IOS release 12.3(7)JA or earlier). If the access point is associated to a controller, you can use the controller to load the Cisco IOS release. If the access point is not associated to a controller, you can load the Cisco IOS release using TFTP.
Using a TFTP Server to Return to a Previous Release
Follow these steps to revert from LWAPP mode to autonomous mode by loading a Cisco IOS release using a TFTP server:
Step 1 The static IP address of the PC on which your TFTP server software runs should be between 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.30.
Step 2 Make sure that the PC contains the access point image file (such as c1200-k9w7-tar.122-15.JA.tar for a 1200 series access point) in the TFTP server folder and that the TFTP server is activated.
Step 3 Rename the access point image file in the TFTP server folder to c1200-k9w7-tar.default for a 1200 series access point, c1130-k9w7-tar.default for an 1130 series access point, and c1240-k9w7-tar.default for a 1240 series access point.
Step 4 Connect the PC to the access point using a Category 5 (CAT5) Ethernet cable.
Step 5 Disconnect power from the access point.
Step 6 Press and hold MODE while you reconnect power to the access point.
Step 7 Hold the MODE button until the status LED turns red (approximately 20 to 30 seconds) and then release.
Step 8 Wait until the access point reboots, as indicated by all LEDs turning green followed by the Status LED blinking green.
Step 9 After the access point reboots, reconfigure it using the GUI or the CLI.

Version not triggerd in PO

Even though version management is maintained for Po document type, when creating PO 0 version is not triggered. in version tab blank is there. please let me know the reason for this. version mgmt settings are OK.

Check in the PO if the same document type & Purchase organization has been used.

DNG Conversion Fails in Camera Download

I've been using Photoshop CS4, Bridge and ACR for about a year. I was sold on the Adobe rationale for converting to DNG and have been doing so using the convenient check box on the Photodownloader screen. It has worked fine the entire time - until now. Suddenly that no longer works: although the DNG conversion box is checked Bridge only downloads the raw NEF files and reports at the end that it the DNG conversion failed on all of the photos that were downloaded.
So - here is what I've tried:
- Rebooted my Windows XP computer ( dual core - which has 4GB of RAM). Same results - no conversion
- Reinstalled Photoshop CS4 - and everything on the disk. Same results - no conversion
- Downloaded version 5.7 of Camera Raw (just found out there is a 5.9). However that seems to only update camera profiles - and doesn't change the version that displays on the Camera Raw preferences menu: 5.0.0.178. Same results - no conversion.
- Finally I downloaded the free DNG converter. It works, but I would much prefer to have the download program work
Any clues to solving this will be greatly appreciated.

That proves you did not install 5.7 correctly and you failed to remove the old 5.0 plug-in.

SAP Conversion Agent: HL7 library project could not be executed

I'm using SAP Conversion Agent version 4.3.0 on a PI 7.0. I'm trying to use a HL7 library project. On the Conversion Agent Studio side everythings works fine: the library project is created and a test of the service with a local HL7 file was successful. After that I make the project on the Conversion Agent Studio available and copy the project from the local \SAP\ConversionAgent\ServiceDB directory to the PI Conversion Agent ServiceDB directory.
So far so good... but when I try to execute the CA project via File Sender Adapter the following error is thrown:
"Invalid service 'TEST'. Check service name and service database"
