BW COPA without ECC COPA module

Hello,
What are the limitations if I implement a COPA modelisation in BW without COPA module in ECC. I have these modules implemented in ECC :
- FI-GL
- FI-AR
- FI-AP
- FI-AA
- CO-PCA
- CO-PC
Is it possible to make allocation cycles in BW in this case ?
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
this forum is for the SAP BusinessObjects BI Solution architecture. I would suggest you post your question to the BW forum.

  • How to add files, without making copies?

    Hi,
I want to add folders to the iTunes Libary, without making copies. Want it to simply moves the folder directly.
Now I have copies of the files in the "old folders" as well as in iTunes.
If it's doable: How can I make it permanent that the folders won't copy, only move(or delete itself after?)
Second.. How can I stop iTunes from making copies of files?
Example: I add the same folder by mistake..
And how do I correct the copied files? Any tip?
    Thanx!

Turn off the option to "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" in the iTunes -> Advanced preferences. Then when you add a file or folder of files to iTunes, it will just point to them where they are. Note that having your tracks in multiple places outside of the iTunes Music folder will complicate making backups as well as moving your content to another volume should you ever need to do so (should you run out of room on your current hard drive, for instance).
As to correcting the extras, try the Show Duplicates command (under the File menu in iTunes 8). That should help. You can also find scripts for dealing with duplicate content on Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes.

  • Capturing COGS in COPA without VPRS and Costing Keys

    Hi all,
We have 20 branches selling across india and corporate office is controlling all
    the branches.
So when billing is done thru a particular branch, Corp. Off does not want branch people to view the cost of goods which is captured thru VPRS in condition screen of billing document. So VPRS has been removed from pricing procedure.
In the above scenario we can transfer COGS using costing key and transfer the standard cost to COPA.
But for the materials for which there is no standard cost (like trading goods) how the cost of traded goods will flow to COPA without using VPRS condition.
    Please help me out.
    Regards
    Ramakrishna

    Hi,
    Good morning and greetings,
For trading goods, normally a purchase order should be prevailing for procuring the same and selling it to the customer with a markup...When you do the goods receipt using MT101, using a substitution rule you can transfer the cost to the profitability segment which is product hierarchy and you can capture the cost of the material without a VPRS pricing condition and a standard price in the material master.
Please reward points if found useful
    Thanking you
    With kindest regards

  • EWM without ECC

A customer has a requirement for a standalone inventory management/warehouse management system.  Is it possible to implement SCM's EWM without ECC or any other backend system?  We would need full inventory mangement including goods receipts, goods movements, warehouse, storage, bins, and physical inventory.
I did look at the Master Guide, but it seems to contradict in various areas and I am looking for confirmation.
    Thanks,
    Mark

i will differ a little on the previous response.
you could in THEORY you could linkEWM to a NON ERP instance, HOWEVER you would need to replicate the inbound and outbound processing for RFC processing with custom ABAP code.
Remember all the integration function modules are configured so you could in theory create Z-functions which are RFC to communicate to another system (non SAP)
remember also you would need to get business partners in wich is via a CIF which in theory can be redeveloped via Z custom.
    But you could manually
ALSO remember that EWM can be linked via IDOC's which mean in theory you can link it to ANOTHER NON SAP system and route the messages to another system maybe using XI.  This might be easier than the above option.
Hope this help and dont underestimat the task.
There is also AT the BOTTOM of the EWM help a area with business connectors which might help.
    Hope this helps
    kind regards

  • Mixing ECC and NECC (Non-ECC) RAM Modules

    Hi,
I have a G5 Dual Core 2.0 with a pair of 512Mb Non-ECC (NECC) RAM installed and I want to upgrade to 3Gb. I'm thinking of getting 2Gb ECC modules and discarding the 1Mb NECC installed. But I came across a phrase in the Apple Manual of my G5 that states "DO NOT MIX ECC and NON-ECC Memory Modules WITHIN A PAIR." Does that mean I can mix ECC and NECC within Memory Banks and NOT within a PAIR? Because in that case I won't have to discard my NECC 1Gb and have a mixed 3Gb Memory!? I'm afraid to actually try it so I would appreciate your insights. Thanks much.
    G5 Dual Core 2.0   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Yes. You can mix ECC and nonECC as long as you don't pair the ECC with the nonECC. The computer will just treat all RAM as nonECC.
You can keep the original memory as long as the two 512MB DIMMs are always paired with each other.

  • Can you use ECC memory in a motherboard without ECC support

I am trying to help a friend from long distance and have limited knowledge about his system. The motherboard is a 845GLMS/GVMS series MS-6754 (v1.X) Micro ATX Mainboard.  He is wanting to upgrade the RAM and the manual says:
    Main Memory
Support four memory banks using two 168-pin unbuffered SDDRM DIMMs.
Max memory size is 2GB without ECC (1GB/slot).
Most everything I'm finding (at least with a low price) is ECC. Will ECC memory (obviously without the ECC working) function on that motherboard?

He needs to use non-ECC RAM, ECC is for server MB's. Where are you looking for RAM and what size & speed does he need, PC100 or PC133? What prices are you finding?

  • GDS without ECC at backend

    Hi GDS experts,
    1. We are planning to implement SAP GDS solution but without ECC at backend. Is it possible to do that?
    2. Do you have the import and export XSD structures that we can use to import and syndicate data to and from GDS repository?
    Regards,
    -T

    Hi TechX,
    1. You can implement GDS without ECC as the backend. The Solution could be to make use of GDS UI to manually enter data into the fields of various tabs which you wish to.
    2. While implementing GDS try to make use of GDS UI to make data entry or to create link between two levels in hierarchy. Making use of Import manager may lead to inconsistencies as you need to update data into various tables like Main Table(TMData), Lookup Table (Global Data, Partner Specific Data) etc. So you have to be very sure that appropriate entries will be made in all the affected tables which can be achieved easily by making use of GDS UI.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Create BW datasource on standard ECC function module MCEX02_02_SCL_GR

    Hello Experts,
I plan to use standard ECC function module MCEX02_02_SCL_GR to get the GR dates for the PO Schedule Lines. I copied this function module with the BW function group and tried to create a datasource in RSO2. However I receive the following error
    ZMM_PO_GR: TABLES-paramter E_T_DATA for extractor MCEX02_02_SCL_GR is missing
I understand that the template for BW function modules is RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE. However is there any way I can use the standard ECC function module OR else how would I incorporate the code in MCEX02_02_SCL_GR into the RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE template.
    Thanks for your help.
    Alnick

create a DS based on FM and call MCEX02_02_SCL_GR into that FM using call funcation XXX destination.
    or
create a table in BW with fields Client, Source system and FM..and then do select statement toa take source system and give in palce of destination.

  • Crystal Reports 2008 can't see/access ECC function module

My team is developing our first Crystal Report directly against ECC data and are experiencing the following problem:
Our ABAP team created a custom RFC to provide the needed data, but we are unable to see a full list of available Functions and list of available tables from SAP ECC data source.
We worked with Security and temporarily ran under SAP_ALL authority but were still unable to see/ access the function module.  We have the integration kit installed and can see some function modules from within Crystal, just not the ones we need. Is there some trick to creating a function module so that it is visible to Crystal?

Hi Ingo. I enjoyed your BO 4 seminar and meeting you at ASUG/Sapphire. I was hoping you'd pick this up.
The connection options shows the info below. It doesn't seem to be telling us how to filter to either select or exclude SAP ECC function modules. It has options to? Are these options correct to see ECC function modules and should we be seeing other options?

  • COPA without sales org?

    Hi SAP Gurus,
My (retail) client is implementing SAP (FICO) without MM & SD in the first phase. All sales / accounts receivable/ accounts payable data will flow in SAP through an interface. I have the following query:
If we want COPA, can we capture sales data without having a sales organisation?
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Sangeeta

    Hi,
COPA: Is Management tools where one can do complete marginal analysis of the data for decision making. In COPA the data flows from different modules like SD,MM,FI and CO etc. and stores in the form of Characteristics (Co.code,Sales.org,plat,division,customer hierarchy, product hierarchy, product etc) and value fields (Sales qty, sales revenue, cost of goods sold, expenses etc). Once the data flows into COPA tables here we can do the complete data analysis with respect to different prof. segments (the combination of more than two characteristics) and drill down analysis for management decision.
Here only the P&L accounts are flown to COPA.
Ex: the revenue for product xyz+division (Retail) is 100,000.
Segments: This is the feature in New G/L accounting, while posting in G/L the system derives the Segment based on configuration, for Segment financial reporting purpose, here both P&L, BS items are posted to Segments.

  • What is the best way to edit array elements (without making copies of the array)?

    Hello all
I am new to Labview so I apologise for the newbie question.
I am using Labview to check off parts in an assembly as a precursor to a test. For my "checklist" I create an array of clusters, with the cluster containing a string for the part number and a boolean to show if it has been scanned. I read in my parts list and then I would like to add in the part name to each cluster in the array. I do not want to make multiple copies of the array if possible. The code shown below does not work - I previously had the "Array" (my checklist) on the outside of the while loop, as I assumed the inplace elements box would not need an output. The cluster created in the inplace elements is correct, but the "Array" does not change.
Any help woud be appreciated, I would prefer a simpler solution to the inplace elements if possible (again without making multiple copies).
    Regards
    Ray
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

You don't show the rest of the code, but I'm guessing that your "Array" is never actually initialized with any values. Thus, the "replace" cannot work since you cannot replace an element that doesn't exist. If the case you are showing is intended to be the actual initialization of the array (and based on what you are saying it seems as if that's the case), then ditch the inplace element structure. All you need to do is to autoindex from your string array and just do this:

  • Replacing SAP ECC COPA Table

    Hi,
we have implemented the SAP Best Practices for BI V4.31 (note 1475029).
One of the dashboards is Profit and Loss. It uses a couple of CR reports for data extraction for the SAP ECC.
In the report is a connection to a COPA table CE11102. In our environment this table is CE11000.
In CR / Database export I can change the name of the COPA Table from CE11102 to CE11000 but CR doesn't recognize our COPA table.
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Wiebe

    Dear Ingo,
so you would like to replace one table of the delivered All in One report with a table from your system ?
Yes I have implemented almost all the CR reports and Xcelcius dashboards.
    But...
When I update the database connection for the CR reports with a CO-PA table and other tables (like MARA, T023T and TVKOT) all the tables will connect to our environment exept the CO-PA table.
    Please advice.
    kind regards,

  • COPA in ECC

    Hi All,
Can anyone please clarify me following:-
Is COPA a cube in "ECC"?
Our client needs data for consolidation purposes in Kahlix. Should we send it from ECC or BI. What should be the right strategy?
    Thanks

    Hi,
The prime objective of COPA- Profitability Analysis enables you to evaluate market segments, which can be classified according to products, customers, orders or any combination of these, or strategic business units, such as sales organizations or business areas, with respect to your company's profit or contribution margin.
The aim of COPA system is to provide your sales, marketing, product management and corporate planning departments with information to support internal accounting and decision-making.
CO-PA comes under APPLICATION SPECIFIC -> USER DEFINED DATA SOURCES.
There is no bussiness content data source for CO-PA because it is based on OPERATING CONCERN and it is different from one company to another.

In BW there are 3 Infocube's:
    CO-PA: Published Key Figures
    CO-PA: Quickstart (S_GO)
    CO-PA: Route Profitability (S_AL)
