BW & CRM Issues

Hi experts,
Recently i created list of new hirerachies in the CRM (Interaction Center) along with the already exisisting one.
Do i need to alter datasource in order to load this data into bw or it will be loaded as usual

Hi Krishna,
You shouldn't modify your datasources. You will need to create new infopackages if the hierarchies you created didn't exist before in CRM and BW.

Diego

Again, this is something with the proxy settings :)
Did you disable proxy or add the application URL to the servers list exceptions?
Did you clear your Jcache folder?

  • MS Outlook Groupware integration with CRM - issue

    Hi Gurus,
Please help me on the below explained problem.
We implemented MS Outlook groupware integration in CRM for activities synchronization from CRM to MS Outlook and vise versa and the synchronization is working fine for all accounts excepting one account, the activities synchronization is not happening from CRM to Outlook for one account.
Please let me know know what could be the issue with this account or any customization settings missing or anything should be changed in account master data.
    Please do needful
    Thanks and Regards,
    Venkatesh

    Hi Venkatesh,
I assume that you are using client side groupware integration.  I could think of following possibilities with that account -
    1. That account might be deleted/achieved/blocked
    2.  Incomplete sales area data (if not a prospect)
Another way to check (I am sure you would have already done this) is that compare the problem account with the other account for which synchronization is happening correctly.  May be you can check each tab from CRM GUI or each assignment block from CRM WEB UI.
    Hope this will be useful.
    Thanks and Regards
    DJ

    Hello Vimol,
the only idea I´ve, functional wise (I don´t know about authoriz.) is that you can use a cockpit and there enabling that user see only their customers.
Of course if they enter BP they see still all.
    It was an idea ..
    Kind regards

  • Initial Load ISU / CRM Issues

    Hi all
    I have a  few questions.
    1. When you start an initial load for BUPA_MAIN in R3AS (from ISU to CRM) it seems only 1 DIAG WP is used (SM50). Is this normal?
    2. In R3AM1 you can monitor the objects. Everything seems to be loaded but yet the status is still 'Running', is this because of BDoc validation errors?
    Kind regards
    Lucas

    Hello Lucas,
There's a param(CRM_MAX_QUEUE_NUMBER_INITIAL) you can maintain in the table CRMPAROLTP of the source system(maintain this in the ERP system if you're doing an initial load from ERP to CRM)
    Reference Notes:
    350176
    765236
The parval1 for Parameter CRM_MAX_QUEUE_NUMBER_INITIAL should be an integer(lets say 5) instead of a character 'X'. In such a case 5 queues would be formed for initial load.
    Here's an example :
    Parameter name CRM_MAX_QUEUE_NUMBER_INITIAL
    Param. Name 2   <Object name>    " for example CUSTOMER_MAIN
    Param. Name 3
User            <User>           " for example CRM, if CRM is connected
    Param. Value    <no. of queues>  " for example 5
    Param. Value 2
So using the example above 5 R3AI_CUSTOMER_MAIN queues would be formed on the ERP and sent to CRM for processing.
The no. of available dialog work processes in SM51 available to the qRFC scheduler in CRM system should be able to handle the parallel processing of queues. So consult your basis administrators on this front.

    Rohit

  • SAP Cloud For Customer : Integration of Service Request to CRM  Issue

    Hello Team,
We have CRM integration using HCI working for most of the standard objects running. But for "Service Request" we are not able to see replication initiating from C4C to CRM. We have setup the required Communication Arrangement and artifact on HCI. Ping test gives 405 error which is as expected. But when we save the new ticket replication to CRM is not initiated.
Kindly throw some light on this so as to understand why this replication is not initiated.
Please let me know if any configuration missing to replicate "Service Request" from C4C to CRM.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mithun

    Hi Ravi,
We are not getting any messages under "Business Communication Monitoring" and web service messages monitoring.
Can you please suggest me which are the all configuration/activities require in cloud for customer for "Service Request".
We have maintained the Transaction Type for "Service Request" in Code List Mapping too, however we are clueless where we have to maintain the "Item Category" for "Service Request" and map to which standard "Item Category" in cloud.
What is the initiate point to trigger the "Service Request" from C4C to CRM?
    Many Thanks,
    Mithun

  • CRM VAT/TAX issues

    Hi experts,
I have a CRM issues and I want to download helpful codes that i have found in OSS Support.
My problem is, i don't know how to determine that the code i was downloaded is for R3 or CRM. Is it possible that the code in R3 is the same as the code in CRM?
My CRM issues is all about VAT REG NO where I need to allow the pulling of data from R3 to CRM eventhough the partner number contains VAT REG NO not equal to partner ISO CODE.
    Please help.
    Thanks.

See the SAP Note more carefully and see the Affected Releases -> Software Component If it is BBPCRM then it is definitely CRM.
Caution: Since you don't know where the code belongs to and don't seem know how to find it, it is prudent to give the note to your Basis team. They will definitely know if they see the note.

  • RELEASE NOTES R180 - scheduled for September 25th 2012

We are announcing a new Business Catalyst release, scheduled to go live on Tuesday, September 25th.
This release includes some great improvements to our module templates, new features for our email marketing system, admin interface improvements, a few infrastructure updates and lots of bug corrections.
Read through the following sections to get detailed information about this release:
    Features and enhancements
    Issues fixed by this release
You can jump to the corresponding section by clicking the above links.
    Features and enhancements
    Modules improvement
Starting with our September release, we have enabled users to use a html page or a static template as a module list template (layout) for all modules that are using templates today. The new addition allows partners to create different views for the same data for a personalize experience. To use this new functionality, just create a new module template and update your module properties by specifying the template to use.
    Ex: {module_blogsitepost,2 template="/ModuleTemplates/Custom/MyTemplate.tpl"}
Note: although you can use any extension you feel comfortable with, we recommend using a .tpl extension for two reasons: help locate the template better and avoid having these templates being displayed in Page list.
    Email marketing application improvements
This is release is packed with new features and enhancements to our email marketing system.
    Dynamic modules in email campaign - you can include modules (a subset of 19 modules) in the Email Campaigns content; the system will render these modules right before the campaign is sent, making sure your customers always receive the latest content;
    Fresh, new email templates - the release includes a set of new of new email templates that look much better; along with these new templates, the template selection page was re-done to show better thumbnails;
Improved recipients selection - we have improved the recipients wizard step, replacing the checkbox list with a smart search and select control; additionally, with this release you will be able to  select multiple lists (including Customer Reports) to exclude from your campaign.
Improved campaign status screen - before sending the campaign, you will now be able to view the exact number of recipients before sending the campaign (Note: reports and list requiring a long time to compute will be approximated); additionally, while the campaign is sending, we are displaying a meaningful status, that indicates that the campaign is being sent.
Email clients reporting - the campaign report screen has also been improved to include a report showing you the email clients used to read your campaigns.
    Admin console improvements
We have updated our new admin user interface and replaced the insert module and insert tag panels with the new Business Catalyst toolbox almost everywhere. With the new toolbox we'll make it easier for partners and business owners to insert and customize module or tags into pages, templates or system emails. The toolbox user interface will opened by default for partners for faster access to tags and modules.
    Other changes
Some  FTP improvements (better error codes, performance, etc) and SFTP support
DNS improvements (support for setting up Google Apps email out of the box, several bug fixes)
When you change your email address on adobe.com, it syncs automatically with BC
Various improvements of the caching engine for static assets

Thanks Mario, what is missing from the post and this notification is a fundamental pieces of information "TIMES". This is not just your info but also the release by Jackson Palmer on the blog - totally missed there also
We need to be notified of the sceduled timing of this release not just a vague date which is not specific globally
25th but we are global - what time specifically 0100am PST is very different to 1030pm PST , the latter being 26th in AU
Why - because campaigns scheduled for around this time can be impacted, and also if the sites go offile during the maintenance window campaigns can be a wasted exercise.
Previously mid week schedules have been a matter of heated discussion, yet the support guys say that schedule ahas not been decided upon
Not planning is planning to fail, and we have witnessed that all to ofetn in the past. BC unfortunately has a history of failing to plan and inform, and this does little to activate confidence in the community.
I have discussed with Dragos on numerous occassion how the missing ingridents at BC like communication, UX, planning and most importantly understanding from the customer perspective (rather than backroom coders).
eg at 645am 26th of Sept 2012 we have a email campaign scheduled ( and can be rescheduled ), the issue I see is without your maintenance window timings being published in a timely manner how can we tell if we move to a sooner or later timing. You have to agree it is disasterious marketing to blast out a campaign and find systems down when customers open newsletter offers and want to shop then.
If the time schedule is listed somewhere else even more shame that it is overlooked as an inclusion here plus that Chat team are not informed and kept up to date and the blog is just fluff sales and chest beating. That is not support of partners regargless of paid or free status.
To much time is wasted with this sort of unthinking about unpublished / incomplete notifications, Live chat guy wasted > 15 min of his and my time becuase they don't know either, how many others are being inconvenienced by fialing to plan and notify information to  act upon, this communication in the blog is good info but by itself useless and creates more doubt and lack or faith. Just look at the "hope in the comments"

  • Cloud Service has suddenly started calling itself repeatedly.

I have a cloud service.  I have an OperationContract method, the first line of which logs "START" to a database.
The method is called from a web page (however after discovering the problem, I am now calling from a Unit Test method.  The web site logs only showed that it was calling the cloud service once anyway).
The cloud service creates two appointment records in Dynamics CRM.  Recently we found that the service calendar was filing up.
Looking at the SQL log I mentioned earlier, it appears that the OperationContract method is being called over and over again until an error is hit (calendar full or NULL exception) at which time the issue stops.  The method can be called 2 or 3 times
    a second.
START is showing in the log over and over again as if the method is being called over and over again.  I have checked that I am not calling myself in a loop from inside the cloud service.
It does FEEL like the web site is calling the method over and over but it is NOT.  IIS logs and Unit Test call show this.
How can this method be running over and over again?
My thought was perhaps the service was crashing and restarting and thus restarting a job that it has already done.  I don't understand this mechanism nor how to stop it if it exists.
Does this behaviour make sense to anyone.  It is driving me mad. The behaviour goes away from time to time and then comes back without any code or config update so it is frustrating to debug.
    [OperationContract]
    AppointmentSearchResponse AppointmentSearch(AppointmentSearchQuery Query);
    public AppointmentSearchResponse AppointmentSearch(AppointmentSearchQuery Query)
    this._Log.InstanceId = Guid.NewGuid();
    this._Log.InfoFormat("{0} AppointmentSearch START \"{1}\"", Configuration.Platform.ToUpper(), Query.Postcode);
    try
The creation of the appointments happens towards the end of the try catch so I know that the logic of the method is executed and reaches the end.  However AppointmentSearch looks to be called again and again and again.
I should add that it happens in DEV and UAT azure environments with two 2015 CRM instances.  Live is using old code and is still 2013.  Have tried winding the cloud service code back but the behaviour still happens.  I cant see how CRM could
feed back an error and cause a restart but I can't rule that out.
Also, is there a way to examine the host server logs for a cloud service?

    Okay.  More info.
I commented out a line that generates the appointment in CRM.  My logic needs a guid so I am mocking one.
So far it looks like the problem has gone although it may return.
UAT and DEV are CRM 2015 online wile LIVE is 2013 still.  I am wondering if this is a CRM issue.
Even so, my logic is wrapped in a TRY CATCH and I know that the Appointments do get generated.  I am wondering if CRM returns some form of catastrophic error that circumvents the TRY CATCH and causes the cloud service to restart the method.
I still do not understand the mechanism by which this could happen.
CRM does have a number of Processes and Plugins hanging off the Appointment creation which may contribute to the problem.  It is a process of elimination now.
However I wonder if there is a setting in the cloud to prevent this sort of thing.  Any ideas?

  • Initial Load R3AM1 Parallel Processing (load objects)

    Dear
After optimizing the parallel processing for the initial load between ISU -> CRM (Initial Load ISU / CRM Issues), I would like to know the following:
On the CRM system , transaction R3AM1 you can monitor the Load Objects. Is it possible to parallel process the load objects?
At this time we can see each block being processed one at the time. We can however see there are multiple queues available.
Any info would be most welcome.
    Kind regards
    Lucas

    There you have it!
increase MAX_PARALLEL_PROCESSES(changing crm table smofparsfa) from 5 to 10 and you will see more queues getting processed simultaneously.
    More info:
The maximum number of loads and requests that can be processed simultaneously is defined in the table SMOFPARSFA under  the MAX_PARALLEL_PROCESSES..The hierarchy in order of preference is initial load, request load, and then SDIMA.
If the number of running  loads and the number of running requests in total is as much  as or higher than this number, the remaining loads have to  wait until a process is free again.Consequently this parameter can be modified if  the processing of loads\requests is delayed due to non availability of free processes. The default value of this parameter is 5(as is there in your CRM as well)
There's no need to change anything in table 'CRMPAROLTP' on the CRM system

  • Apostrophe (') is replaced by hash (#) when letter is viewed as PDF

We're using CRM 5.2 and when viewing some of the letters associated with a service ticket we are sometimes (which is odd) noticing that apostrophe (') characters are being replaced by Hash characters (#). We're using Adobe Acrobat version 8.10 and I have requested for an upgrade to version 9.20 of this product to see if the same letter is then displayed correctly.
At present text such as "therfore I'm going to" is actually displayed as "therefore I#m going to"
Has anyone else encountered this particular problem?.
I'm pretty sure this is NOT a CRM issue, unless the letter was actually created with some weird character, which I doubt. This is more than likely going to be an Adobe issue.

    CRM version 5.0
Just to recap. All output letters being displayed via the Adobe Acrobat viewer show hash characters where there should be apostrophe's. However, other letter templates that are displayed in Word are displayed okay with the apostrophe's being seen. In regards to the letters being displayed in PDF format, at first I thought it may have something to do with the the language of the agent/Sold-to/Responsible group, or maybe the template creator language code, but other letters created for the same agent/sold-to/responsible group, creator display okay, although those templates do use the Word Mime type.
    My questions are:
It's probably not possible to change the individual letter assigned to IR's but is it possible to change the original master template letter (via CRM_KW_TEMPL), by changing the Mime type, and, if this is done will all new subsequent letters then output in this new Mime format, like Word, for example.
Also, will the letters originally based from a templete be affected if the original template Mime type is changed?.
    With regards

deployment is success but we r not getting any icons wn we login to ICSS
    plz suggest me regarding this

    Hi Naresh,

  • R3AS and R3 Queues

MAX POINTS will be awarded for a solution
    hi All,
I am trying to replicate Material and Groups from R3 to SRM using R3AS.
It works great in an environment ...but fails in another. I need your help in debugging it
I follow the steps at end of my question based on what I found in other threads.
The place where it fails is
    4.     If the queue is locked, try to release the lock on it and to activate it. If the queue disappears after you select Refresh, the download process has proceeded further.
Seems to be some configuration that I am not aware of.
R3 Destinations SMOEAC seems to be configured correctly.
    All helps is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Nikhil
    ===========================================
    Complete Steps
    ===========================================
    Pre-requisites.
    1. Ensure All Queues on SRM and R3 side are deleted before you start
    2. Jobs for DNL_CUST_PROD0 and DNL_CUST_PROD1 should be either completed or aborted
Below are the steps for running R3AS transaction or SMOF_DOWNLOAD scheduled job and debugging it in any SRM environment.
    For Running R3AS
    1.     To start run R3AS from SRM environment.
    2.     Select DNL_CUST_PROD0 for Load Object. This auto populates the Source R3 and Destination site CRM.
    3.   Run it and follow below process to check if its complete.
    Checking the Download is Complete
    1.     To start the Download Monitor, call transaction R3AM1, type DNL_CUST_PROD0 under Object Name, click Execute button.
    2.     If all the traffic lights are green, the download was successful. If a traffic light is yellow, select Refresh and observe whether the block number increases. If so, the download is still in progress. If not, continue with the next step.
    3.     In the backend R/3 system, check the outbound queue in transaction SMQ1. For Queue name, enter the correct queue name, and choose Execute to display the queue.
    4.     If the queue is locked, try to release the lock on it and to activate it. If the queue disappears after you select Refresh, the download process has proceeded further.

    Hi
Where is configuration of queues done?
How does running of transaction R3AS with DNL_CUST_PROD0/1, R/3, CRM know what queue to run in R3
Also how is data posted from R3 to SRM.
FYI i read following Notes and still not sure whats wrong
Note 429423 - CRM Release: General analysis of the initial Load
Note 430980 - CRM Server: Analysis in delta data exchange R/3->CRM
Note 720819 - Middleware consumer entry for SRM 40 and 50 in the OLTP-syst
Note 632223 - Using other consumer as CRM
Issue is when I run the transaction R3AS with DNL_CUST_PROD0/1, R/3....I see a queue on R3 ...but when i try to unlock it ...there is no Destination. When i put a destination, status of the queue remains the same "STOP"
