BW development class can't be view through SE80

I go to se80 and click "edit object" , but I can't find the development class field. the fields are trasaction, message class.....
I'm using BI7.0, where can I create a new development class in SE80

Go to SE80->under Repository Browser choose Package than enter your package or so called development class and press ENTER. Then you can create your package.
Notice that term development class is obsolete and the package is used instead.

Local Objects are the Objects which are not transportable.They are saved in the server n we can't create a Tranport Request.
Development classes collect together development environment objects that can be considered as a unit and should therefore also be corrected and transported together. A development class can, for example, consist of a transaction or a group of related transactions.
You can say in simple word, Development class is like Folder which will have the collection of objects(Report, class etc) for a assigned Proejcts.
If you save objects in Local Class ,you are not able to transport from one system to another.If you save it into a Development Class ,you can transport objects from one system to another.

go to SE80 -> select workbench ->edit object ->development co-orination -> select package radio button
give name start with 'Z' or 'Y' then click create button.
then system will ask for description , give description and activate it.

Hi,
     Please find the below navigation:
     SE38 --> GOTO (Menu Option at top) --> (select) Object Directory Entry --> one dialog box will display --> Press on Change mode (pen symbol)
     Then you can cnagnge the development class.
     It will solve your problem.

Can I able to develope Oracle EBS I-Module pages through ADF?

Now I am in the position of developing new Self Service Web Application module(I-Modules), which is going to be wired with Oracle E-Bussiness suite at last.
I know how to develope or custamize the Oracle Apps I-Module thru OAF. but now my client wants us to be develope that new module through ADF.The problem is now I dont know if I use ADF for oracle apps EBS module, then how to deploy the ADF files in to Oracle Apps.
because OAF and ADF package structure is entirely different. OAF is following Oracle Apps package structure. ADF is followoing standard J2ee package structure for VIEW and Controller part.
so please help any one to overcome to this problem. plz let me know how to deploy the ADF fiels in to Oralce Apps & how to wire it to EBS.

Thanks for your time and effort. But still I need more information about this issue Tapash.
1.     Can you please explain more about OAF future? Because my client believe within a year OAF is migrate with ADF, Is it true? So they select ADF for new Oracle Apps EBS custom I-module development.
2.     As per you advice if I select ADF to build extension application for EBiz suite, after development how can I wired this ADF application to Oracle Apps EBS?
3.     If it is OAF files I am create all View, Controller and Model files and then I moving my Model & Controller in to middle tire and deploying my View files (PG) in to MDS. Then through AOL I am creating new function for that PG and creating menu and user I am adding that menu to particular user.
4.     So if I create ADF pages, where to deploy my view and controller files in Oracle apps? (Of course my model files are same here like OAF, because my backend is database).
So please help me out in this issue.

Oroilore-
I do not see a way to disable the Picture Frame icon. I looked at Settings-Picture Frame, but none of the options turns it off. The only way I can thinik of, would be if all of your photos had been deleted. If there were no photos, you couldn't have a slide show!
One thing to try is to reset (reboot) your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

I have a similar problem
I changed transport routes in my system from 2 to 3 system landscape.
unfortunately somehow a package/development class was assinged to the wrong transport layer & as a result when users release their request its taken as Local Change Request ie dosent appear in the import queue of the QA system
using SE80 I assinged the package to the correct transport layer & it prompted for a change request . The request goes to the local change request queue when I try to release I get the message Not All Objects In The Request Could Be Locked

2) Using pgmna retrieve from tadir table by using the following criteria from tadir table
pgmid = 'R3TR'
AND object = 'PROG'
AND obj_name = tstc-pgmna.
We will get development class or package in tadir i.e
tadir-devclass

Hi,
You can launch Disco Viewer or Plus from the Apps menu by creating an OracleOASIS Application Function.
If you want to run Discoverer from a Concurrent Program then I assume you want the output of the Discoverer report as an HTML ( or some other format) available as output from the concurrent job. If that is the case then Discoverer Desktop Edition must be used to export the workbook into a file and this can be done from the current manager with a bit of development.
On our system we have developed a concurrent request to schedule Discoverer workbooks. The main parameters for the concurrent request are the workbook you want to run, the parameters for the workbook, the responsibility you want to use to run the workbook in Discoverer and the type of export you want (ie. HTML, PDF, Excel etc). The concurrent request then sends the request to a Discoverer workstation. A simple VBSript on the workstation runs Discoverer from the command line and exports the workbook to a file to the request output directory back on the database server (using a SAMBA drive). The Discoverer report then can then viewed as output from the concurrent request. However, we mainly use a web page integrated to Apps to view and download output from our concurrent requests. This all works smoothly and provides a better alternative for Applications than using Discoverer scheduling.

Archive docuemnt is not viewing through VF07 tcode

Hi Experts,
There was one issue regarding archive documents, if any body have the idea plz let me pass your views.
My user is running the transaction VF07 to view the Archived documents , but getting the error with " no billing document doesn't exist".
Since the billing documrnt is archived docuemnt, and it should be show there.
Can u give me ur ideas on this why the billing document is not viewing through VF07 TCODE.

Transaction VF07 is replaced by the functionalities
of SAP AS (transaction SARI). Transaction VF07 is therefore no longer
supported.
In order to view an archived Invoice using VF07 or via menu path
Billing Document > Display From Archive, you must enable the
index V_ARC_OBJ-USE_INDEX as follows...
Transaction AOBJ, Object SD_VBRK, Click 'Make Index' flag to ON.
Ensure 'Create indx prg' field is blank(no program listed).
Please refer to note 440033 for detailed information.
However, the logic behind VF07 was only an 'experiment' to realize
single document access. Due to the development of the Archive
Information system (SAP AS), VF07 is not further developed. This is
because the SAP AS should be the tool to be used to look at
archived documents. Therefore, not all functionality is given in
VF07. Please use the SAP AS (transaction SARI) instead of VF07.
You can import the SAP AS documentation with note 99388. Please
also see note 140652 which includes templates for business views
for SAP AS.

New controller classes for Web IC views

Could anyone help out with the following:-
I 'inherited' a customer's Web IC implementation to support recently. The system hasn't been properly documented, I'm new to Web IC and they've just applied support packages to the system which has caused some problems.
The specific issue is as follows:-
I search for, identify and confirm a business partner.
I call up view IHistResult (via Interaction History from the NavBar) - this was copied from the standard CRM_IC application and has a Z controller associated with it. There is an XML controller replacement in place to call this view.
When the view is called, I get a syntax error - CX_SY_MOVE_CAST_ERROR. The cast that occurs is from a variable referencing CL_BSP_CONTROLLER to my Z class - which does have a relationship to CL_BSP_CONTROLLER through super classes.
If I make the controller class the SAP standard class (CL_CRM_IC_IHISTRESULT_IMPL) then everything is fine. I created a new, clean Z class with CL_CRM_IC_IHISTRESULT_IMPL as the super class, no redefinitions, no changes and assigned this to the view. Then I get the syntax error in the view.
I don't see what the problem with casting to my Z class can be - it's a subclass of CL_CRM_IC_IHISTRESULT_IMPL with absolutely no changes.
If anyone could suggest any ideas or solutions I'd be grateful.

Development class support the distribution development of large application.Set of abap program with a common meaning are placed in the dev class. It is loosely connected with other system,Its a component of R/3 system.It also have another name called Package. Previously all the development was called dev class now especially in Netweaver it was described as Package only.
METHOD1:
u can create Package or Development class in two ways.....
=>goto object navigator(SE 80)
=>object Navigator was spited into 2 parts.one is obj selection area and another one is editing area....
=>you have 2 select the "Package" in the left side frame(object selection).....
=>Type ur Package name wit customer namespace (Z|Y) and press enter.
=>it display that the object is not created.need to create an object
=>press yes
=>it opens a new form. in that give short description.
=>giv the transport layer as HOME.click save.
=>then create ur own request 4 ur objects....
=>u can save all your development objects inside ur package.
=>to view wat all is been put into ur package, u can go to SE01-transport organiser n view the package contents.
METHOD 2:
GOTO ABAP DICTIONARY(SE11)
SELECT DATABASE TABLE
Give the table for dev class
goto Display option.
Goto MENUBAR Select UTILITIES >CONTENT OPTION>CRETE DEVELOPMENT CLASS
Give the name and short disc as discuss earlier.
