BW FICA extract structures corrupted after upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6
Hi All. After the upgrade an include (FKKBWP) in the extract structure FKKOPBW_BASIC contained a field belonging to the APPEND structure ZAFKKOPBW_BASIC (originating from enhancing the configured structure). Also ZAFKKOPBW_BASIC is not visible in FKKOPBW_BASIC anymore, although when checking/activating the structure it complains about duplicate fields, which can only happen if ZAFKKOPBW_BASIC is still referenced. Furthermore, some new includes have also appeared in the extract, amongst others FKKOPBW_EVOLVED.
I have not been able to find any documentation regarding this. Two different systems were upgraded and the structures were corrupted in both systems in the same way, so this is not a fluke.
The application dumps when one tries to access it via SBIW->Settings for Application-Specific DataSources->Contract accounts receivable->Define Fields for the Extraction of Open Items, because the config and structures do not match.
All of this also applies to the Cleared Items as well.
Has anybody encountered this or can somebody point me to some documentation referering to this problem?

Performance problem for mass transactions after upgrade from 4.7 to ECC6.0
Hi All,
After upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 (IS-U), mass transactions such as FPY1, FPVA, FP04M are taking very long time to complete. for example, before upgrade the jobs sceduled for FPVA transaction take around 5k-6k seconds. Whereas after upgrade the jobs for FPVA with the same variant takes around 9k-10k seconds. I am unable to figure out the cause for exponential increase in the duration of several mass-jobs (after the upgrade). Are there any SAP notes or do we need to do any customizing setting to solve this problem? Does anyone face this kind of problem?

This is normal after upgrade to 6.0, I have faced the same in all upgrades I've done and some others that I have involved also. If you did not requests and going live upgrade check I strongly recomend to schedule an Early Watch Check to minimize the impact. Times won´t be the same but can be very close if the system is tuned well. We have tuned systems that now run with good performance after this services. -
Report Layout Changed After Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6
Dear Gurus,
I do functional test of every process in ECC6 after upgrade from 4.6C. I found all report layout changed without variant (it's happen to all Query/SQ01 reports ). So I've to assign manually the fields for the reports, and create a default variant then.
Why it happen ? Is there configuration or setting missed or this is standard while we do upgrade ?

Invoice Receipt Warning Message Appear After Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6
Hi Gurus,
We do upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6. And we do Invoice Verification base on Delivery (Vendor delivery number), in our business process there more than one Purchase Order has same Vendor Delivery Number while GR executed. But only one Purchase order related to Invoice verification, others PO are Free PO (no need Invoice Verification).
The problem is:
In SAP 4.6C, while execute Invoice base on Delivery (Vendor delivery), system automatic select only PO with Delivery (vendor) which related/allow invoice receipt.
In SAP ECC6, while execute Invoice base on Delivery (vendor delivery), all PO selected. So than there are warning messages appear (warning pop screen) for those PO not allow invoice Receipt (message M8035: PO item XXXXX does not allow invoice receipt), and at the end PO which allow Invoice receipt then appear for further Invoice Receipt process.
At overall, the final result SAP 4.6C and SAP ECC6 is same (only PO which allowed Invoice Receipt will processed further).
The Question are:
1. Why in ECC6 appear warning message, while in 4.6C no warning message ? Is there config to ignoring the warning message. I've try to maintain system message for M8035 (t-code: OMRM) to ignoring the pop screen, but can not created.
2. How do we make warning message dissapear (no need warning message), because if the PO's has hundred items so user need to click enter hundred times.

could you please check whether the flag "GR-based IV" is set in the purchase orders?
If GR based-IV is ticked, then this pop-up cannot be suppressed.
If you would like to post the invoice first then GR-based IV should not be checked, otherwise this pop-up will always appear. I am afraid that this behaviour is standard.
Please, be aware that this feature is only available if you set in the Purchase Order item the 'GR-based IV' indicator:
If the GR-IV flag is not set in the PO, then the system does not
differentiate individual goods receipts. Please see the <f1> help
for the field "GR-IV" in the PO item detail. Since the individual
receipts are not differentiated, an invoice is not tied per se to
an individual receipt and a goods receipt can be reversed despite
an invoice receipt.
With the GR-IV flag set on in a PO, you can specify which goods
receipt is being invoiced in an IR and which goods receipt is being
reversed in a return. It is this correlation between goods receipts
and invoices that enables you to specify for GR-IV PO's whether an
item can be returned despite an invoice.

Just now we have completed upgrade project from 4.6c to ECC6.0.
After upgrade F4 help is not working for some date fields.
For example its working in MB11,Its not working in va01,vf01 like that.
In abap side we checked ...not able to find any issues in coding level, because its a standard SAP code.
So if any solution is there to correct this issue.Kindly help me to resolve this asap.

Error in Auto Generated Reports after upgradation from 4.5B to ECC6
Hi All,
We are currently upgraded the system from 4.5B to ECC6.
We are having many reports with report names such as
'GP0HRYGE9KG1RM5HN4WY9MXC9E4'
'GP0IZ026BMC4SX5K8BISNZ00FSV' with few syntax errors in it.
Can any one suggest whether these are any auto generared reports , as the report starts from 'GP *'.
If so, please suggest how to regenerate the same.

S_ALR_87012178 does not show any data after upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6

We do upgrade and do testing to all functional process realted.
When open S_ALR_87012178 in SAP ECC6 no data showed, but in old version (SAP 4.6C) data showed although we select the same parameter selection.
Any setting missed ? or any suggestion about this issue.

I have checked your request, and there are two 'ways' the report
will send out the data:
1. In a 'normal' list
If you call the report in the 'standard' way, the data get displayed
in a normal list. This is the standard.
2. If the 'ACCESSIBILITY_MODE' flag is set in the user parameters.
With this flag, the reports output is done with the ALV Grid display.
About this ACCESSIBILITY_MODE flag, refer to the note 929036,
which describes the 'function' of it.

We are upgrading SAP system from 4.7 to ECC6.0. We have s/w component SAP_BASIS = 700.
It would be of great help if anybody share their thought on handling ABAP queries after upgradation from 4.7 to ECC6.0.
We have refered SAP notes 132813 and 672784 where in we need to change the default query area.
Also, do we need to re-genarate the queries? If yes then how can we achive the same.

It may happen that some times, the queries are not generated after the upgrade.
Hence call the FM: RSAQ_GENERATE_PROGRAM
Pass the Query name and user group.
For all global queries: refer table AQGQCAT and local/client specific queries: Refer to AQLQCAT.
This can help to regenerate the queries.
You can also write a small program to generate using the above FM(one time program) that runs after upgrade

I have checked with the table indexes, they were same as in 4.7 system.
What can be the reson for the difference in execution time. How can this be reduced without adjusting the select query.

ohhhhh....... lots of problems in select query......this is not the way you should write it.
Some generic comments:
1. never use SELECT
endselect.
SELECT
into table
for all entries in table
where.
use perform statment after this selection.
2. Do not use into corresponding fields. use exact structure type.
3. use proper sequence of fields in the where condition so that it helps table go according to indexes.
e.g in your case
sequence should be
LEDNR
OBJNR
GJAHR
WRTTP
VERSN
KSTAR
HRKFT
VRGNG
VBUND
PARGB
BEKNZ
TWAER
PERBL
sequence should be same as defined in table.
Always keep select query as simple as possible and perform all other calculations etc. afterwords.

Universal Worklist UWL not working in NW04s SPS9 after upgrade from NW04
Hello all,
this is just a hint in case anyone has the same problem with the UWL.
It happened to me in 2 cases, that in a Portal 7 SPS9 the UWL only showed a blank page after upgrade from NW04. In NW04 the UWL worked.
The reason for it was something like a corrupt deployment (but there were no according error messages in any log files). The SAP Support told me to redeploy the UWLJWF*.sca according to note 895523, that worked.
You can check whether the deployment is the reason of a non-working UWL setting the property "Launch Web Dynpro UI" to 'no'. Then the old HTMLB sources (that should work) are used (But it is not recommended to use the old sources anymore)

If export record count more than 200 it is working fine in all the systems and if change the profile option "Export MIME type” value to ‘text/tab-separated-values’ from application/excel also it is wokring.

Lost Developer Toolbar after upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2
After upgrading from 4.1 to 4.2.1.00.08, we have lost the Developer Toolbar.
Have others run into this with the upgrade or fresh installation of 4.2.1?
If so, what suggestions are there for fixing, short of reinstallation mentioned in this other thread:

Following the guidance there to look at the instance ID and other preference settings, I compared our three instances. The two that are not having the problem are both at 4.2.0.00.27.

You inspired me to take a closer look, and look beyond the upgrade.
After the upgrade, my application passed a superficial checkout. Later, I exported my application and in the export file, the Instance ID was not NULL. I had not noticed any problems with how APEX was working.
The problems of the missing Developer Toolbar, Instance ID = NULL, and a new one, did not occur until I removed my application and tested a clean installation of the workspace and application. This is the sequence of events. The immediate triggering cause is clearly one of the following:
1. Deinstall application (ID 820) from APEX 4.2.1.00.08 instance, running 11g (11.1.0.7.0).
2. Remove workspace (PVA_AH9_R12)
3. (drop the parsing schema, xxpva, and related tablespace)
4. (create tablespace and schema user, xxpva)
5. Import workspace (PVA_AH9_R12) from an APEX 4.2.0.00.27 instance.
6. Import application (ID 820) including supporting objects from an APEX 4.2.0.00.27 instance, running 11g (11.2.0.1.0).
The next day I noticed the Developer Toolbar missing problem, and found that Instance ID is NULL.
Also, after Exporting an application in Database format, I cannot download the file from the Export Repository. When I click the filename link, I get 'Access Denied' instead of the normal download dialog.
Does this suggest anything else I should look into?
Do you think I should post this as a new problem/question with more detail about the sequence of events?
