BW Hierarchy not coming up in my WEBI report

Hi Gurus,
I have created BW query with only 2 fields 1) 0PROJECT 2) 0WBS Element and a key fig 'No of records'. I activated the hierarchy on 0WBS. Then created universe on this query. WBS hier has 6 levels so i in universe, I got 6 dimensions with L00, L01...L06 and created my Webi report with following fields.
1) Project (dimension)
2) WBS L00 Dimension
3) WBS L01 Dimension
4) WBS L02 Dimension
5) WBS L03 Dimension
6) No of records - key fig
If I take only Project field and No of records, I can see no of rec with values. But when i executed the report with all WBS hier dimensions like L00, L01,.... i can see only project column is populated and all WBS L00, L01...etc and No of rec key fig are not populated at all.
I am new to this so am i missing anything here? We just now installed BO XI 3.1 SP3. May be some files are missing in installation?

Here there are two ways to get out this (there's no problem with u r installation)
*1) if u are using webintelligence in bo , make sure that drill option(on top) to be enabled,*
*2) in universe, select the key figure (No of records) rightclick * No:ofrecords* -> object properties -> Properties tab Check Function is assigned to sum, if the option Database delegated is there just change that to sum. and apply, save and export the universe and check again

Display of Hierarchy Nodes as Medium Text in Web Report

Hello everyone,
Does anybody know how to display the hierarchy nodes as medium text instead of short text (default) in web report?
I know it is possible to change the display setting directly (by right clicking on hierarchy node > properties) from the web report.
However, I would love to know if there is any other way to change the settings such as through Query designer or Hierarchy maintenance in SAP GUI so that users do not need to change the display settings every time they view the web report.

What if a Hierarchy is created under an InfoObject? How can I change the Text view of each name of the Hierarchy nodes?
In Query Designer, I tried to change the Text View to Long but it only affects the text of the InfoObject but not the Hierarchy nodes.
I tried the 2nd suggestion too. I only can find the BEx description for the InfoObject but not the Hierarchy nodes.
It would be great if anyone could tell me how to do so.

Field value is not coming in my customize ALV report

I have added two fields in a customized ALV report. But the customized report was not developed by me. Therefore I am unable to understand the whole report. As per my requirement I have added 2 fields more like* quantity* & unit field in that ALV. But not understanding why values are not coming in my report though values are there in DB. Plz help me regarding this. The portion of the code is given below.

Not able to view the web report..

hi,
I have sap bw 3.0b and WAD installed. I am able to create a report in WAD and when i try to generate the web report, IE opens with an url starting as http://xxx.yyy.....
If my understanding is correct to view these WAD reports in my workstation I need to have Apache running so that the http://.... URL is resolved as appropriate.
If yes, then I need to know how to configure Apache , the port number etc.
If my understanding is not correct please let me know how i can view my report in the browser at my workstation.

In start up menu click on Run.
write "drivers". it'll open the "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers" folder in new window.
Go to etc folder in that you'll find "hosts" file open it in notepad.
There maintain an entry for the server ip & hostname (system name) seperated by tab.
Example on "how to maintain the entry" is also provided in hosts file.

Default hierarchy not getting selected in the GOTO report.

Hi friends,
I am facing a weird problem in a jump query(GoTo query). I am giving an input for the main query. The input values are week and Organization(it is a hierarchy). I am executing the report and after that i am going into the jump query through the main query.
In the GoTo Query, when i right click on the Organization -> properties -> Chacteristics -> i could find that the hierarchy is not getting selected by default. I need to go and select from the dropdown manually.
If i execute the same GOTO report directly without going through main query, I am able to see the default hierarchy. I would like to see the same in my first case as well(i.e when i run the query through the Main Query).
Can somebody help me in achieving this.

@ is a default value as per ALV internal process. This is used in icons .
I think this is causing the confusion.
Check in the fieldcat if there is any adjsutment to be made to handle this.

Data is not comeing in when concurrent program(report) runs

i am submiting concurrent program( which is a REPORT 6i) not geting ourput. it dsiplaying only columns.
here i am expecting date problem. while i am passing the parameters, here i am sending two date parameters
budget_date_from and budget_date_to. In where condition of report sql query i have writen like this
TO_CHAR(pce1.effective_date_from,'DD/MON/YYYY')>= TO_DATE(:P_Date_from)
can suggest me, which valueset i have to use? while registing with apps.
can anyone help me to sortout this issue.

Try following
TO_date(pce1.effective_date_from,'DD/MON/YYYY')>= TO_DATE(:P_Date_from)
or
TO_CHAR(pce1.effective_date_from,'DD/MON/YYYY')>= TO_char(:P_Date_from)
but result may different for both.

0ORGUNIt time dependent hierarchy not showing all valid nodes in BO , but in BW its correctly shown

We have 0ORGUNIT hierarchy shown in one of the Webi reports. 0ORGUNIT is time dependent hierarchy.
In BW report we can see below nodes for hierarchy
Hierarchy                     Valid From         Valid To
Z05 Root Company        01.07.2013        31.12.9999 - Parent node
    Z05 Branch 2                 01.10.2013        31.12.9999 - Child Node
    Z05 Division                   09.12.2013        31.12.9999 - Child Node
In BO webi we can see only two nodes
Z05 Root Company        01.07.2013        31.12.9999 - Parent node
       Z05 Division                   09.12.2013        31.12.9999 - Child Node
Any idea why in BO webi the other node is not shown ? This is happening only for time dependent hierarchy and only in BO not in BW.

Hi Shraddha ,
Check at webi query panel level any restrictions applied to hierarchy levels.
Check at BEx query level,select 0ORGUNIT ,hierarchy -Expand to level .
Here specify Max level.
lastly, check any filters/restrictions applied on data.If yes,remove restrictions.

(Request for reporting available) is not coming in Cube

Hi All,
I have Cube & DSO.
I added fields in DSO & Cube.
Cube1 has Aggregrates built on it.i added 5 infoobjects on it, Now when i load data from DSO to Cube(Request for reporting available) is not coming up. i cant do reporting on it. can anyone help.

Have you done the Roll up ?
Since aggregates are there on that cube....until and unless you do the roll up that request will not be available for Reporting...

In transaction OBA7 the description is not coming in Spanish

Hi Everybody,
Spanish ( ES ) language imported in ECC 6 thru SMLT and activated the same thru report RSCPINST.
After that login in Spanish is working fine.
But problem is in transaction OBA7 the description is not coming in Spanish.
Problem reported only for this tcode only , may be there are problem in other tcode also.
Any idea !!

check in client 000, if you don't have spanisch there, then most probably its not translated (yet)
you can transate yourself if needed...

BO 4.1 WEBI reports are not refreshing and FWB 00032 error while login

Hello All, First, We are not able to refresh our WEBI reports its hanging in between and throwing errors sometimes. Second, while login its giving below error. Account information not recognized: Invalid confidential channel. (FWB 00032) found relevant note : 1737852, but the pre-requisite is met. Issue is intermittent but its resolved now BO application restart. but we need to find out what could be the reason for this. Anyone has got this kind of situation. Regards Munish

Passing hierachy node variable from BW to BO Webi Report in open doc link

Hello All,
We are working on BW-BO integration and creating Webi reports based on Bex queries.
The question is regarding passing of a hierachy node value from BW to BO through open doc link.
I see that when we pass hierarchy node value, we have to associate that with the corresponding infoobject technical name in the link but not sure in what format it has to be sent.
For example, if ARM is the node value and 0HIERNODE is the infoobject , how should we send this value to BO.

You cannot change anything here. You should really find out how the values are retrieved from the database
THere is another option:
1) Activate the tracing on your BOBJ server
Check the following SAP notes (http://service.sap.com/notes) for that:
Unix: Note 1235111
Windows: Note 1260004
2) Run your WebI report from the InfoView by choosing first the desired hierachy node value from the LOV of your prompt.
3) Extract the MDX statement from the log file. It should contain the value for the hierarchy node. Copy this to the URL
It is easier to find this out if you have access to a Crystal Reports Designer installation. Do you?

Importing a text file with variable values into web reporting

Hello,
I'm looking for a possibility to import values from a text file into a variable selection in Web reporting.
With BEx reporting in Excel this is possible, by clicking on the multiple selection button in the variable popup screen, and subsequently selecting the "Import from Text file" button.
However, this function seems not to be available for web-reporting...
It would be great if someone could help me out with this!

Showing filter values in a web report

hello experts,
I have a web report with 3 web item tables, each one has a query assigned. I'm using 0CALMONTH as a filter but the value for this is not displayed when running the web report. Is there a way to display the value for this filter together with the results? Can I use the web item filter?

Hi.
The Web Item Filter only works for filters that are selected manually by the user.
The easiest way would be to provide a variable for entry of 0CALMONTH. This variable can then be shown with the WebItem Text Element.

Web Analysis report is not coming with the border/logo/heading while print

Hi All,
I am using 9.3.1 version of hyperion planning were Web Analysis report is not coming with the border/logo/heading while printing with the option "print all object", Only the data grid is coming in the print. If I use "print screen" it is coming with border/logo/heading but it gives a screenshot of the report, that won't cater out need.
So please suggest us with a resolution to have border, logo and heading, while using Print all object.

In scripts when you will see print preview the logo will be not shown up with clarity.Take the print out of the document and check whether logo is printing up with clarity.
