Upgrade from Training and Events managment to SAP LSO

Hi,
We've upgraded from Training and Events management to SAP LSO 604 and during that process we have run the execute booking relationship harmonization node in IMG.
We still have references to Business event groups and Business event type in themaster data catalog instead of Course groups and Course types. Are we missing something?

OutlookSoft Point of Contact at SAP?

I am looking for is a point of contact from SAP who is focused on OutlookSoft consulting.
I know we were still wrapping up some consulting activities with our implementation.
Unfortunately, I found out after the fact that the entire team that I had worked with during our OutlookSoft implementation had left SAP in mid May.
This puts us in an unfortunate situation due do knowledge loss.
I'd like to at least establish a SAP point of contact to which I can discuss the status of our implementation.
Is there anyone at SAP who is an OutlookSoft Lead?
Or would it be best to go to the third party vendor which now employs the consultants and team that we have used in the past?

Hi Jason,
You would have better luck posting on the Business Process Expert -> Enterprise Performance Management Forum.
James Sherrit and Scott Cairncross of the BPC (formerly OutlookSoft) RIG and Prakash Darji of BPC Product Management check in there from time to time. There are others from SAP involved with CPM/FPM that keep an eye on that forum.

VAT for in-house training on non-VAT paying customer

Hi .. Newby here & hoping for a result !
I need to set up a sales order to cover the cost of some training provided in the UK for a customer billed-to in Sweden and therefore usually not subject to VAT. In this scenario, I am advised that VAT is payable however.
I have created a new sold-to partner record with a Tax Classification = 1 in the General tab/Billing Doc tab, and associated Pricing Condition Record, and it correctly calculates the VAT on the order.
My question is, is there a 'slicker' way of doing this either by standard customisation via the IMG or master table settings somewhere, without having to create a another partner record ?

I understand your confusion. InDesign Server is a rather esoteric product and was released originally with the concept that it would be provided exclusively by resellers offering custom solutions or software built on the InDesign Server engine. It is not sold in the same way as desktop software.
It appears that whover you spoke to at Adobe gave you incorrect information.
My company, Silicon Publishing, resells InDesign Server and we would be happy to sell you a copy. It is also possible to purchase it directly from Adobe or from other resellers. There is not exactly a "plan" for in-house development, but it is quite common, and in such cases resellers or Adobe simply sell the software without additional custom development or software built on top of it. Many companies have built their own in-house solutions, as the technique of automation is straightforward and well-documented.

Not deactivated licenses at computer-reset. Whom to contact?

I am using Photoshop Elements 7. One PC with license was reset without before deactivating the license and was given away. The second one was now reset, again I forgot to deactivate the license bbefore. Installing the programm was ok, but PC does not accept the license code as according to Adobe 2 computers are activ. Whom may I contact to get the old activations deactivated so that I can use it again. All docs are available. I just need a link or an email-address to contact. Was unable to find it at Adobe-pages.

ABAP trained but not working in SAP

I got a quick question for you , please guide me on this.
Very recently i got into Genpact as a Business Analyst Role, which is very interesting. I was previously trained on SAP-ABAP in local institute, i would like to get myself updated in SAP. Could you please, suggest me is there any course that i could take to upgrade myself in SAP apart from ABAP.
I would be expecting a better response from you. Hope, you got my point.
To keep you posted, my work as of now is nothing but i would be working on more on MS EXCEL,MS PPT, Sending reports and so on.....!

There are is breakage in confidentiality. I use MS Excel and Access quite a bit to analyse my security and grc builds. This can include extracting a few tables from SAP and then importing them and doing pivots, formula, filtering, etc to help me identify issues in the system and fix.
SAP Security covers the identify management of the user (user master, naming conventions, classifications, license management, role assignment, etc) as well as the security role build (what to grant in a role) and then the general system security of the system. It can be a challenging area as security goes across all SAP components and modules.
You need to be clear on what you want your career to be. None of us can suggest what you should or should not do for your career. What are you goals and professional ambition beyond money and reputation? What skills do you think you have (i.e. are you a good problem solver? Are you a good planner? Are you great at teaching others?
Finally, what do you know about SAP? Business Analyst is a good skill set to have and where to take that to in SAP "world" really comes back to some of the other questions I have asked you.

Training Suggestion: What module of SAP should start with

I am a senior technical consultant currently working for an IT consulting/service/developer company. I am an M. Sc. in Computer Science and System Engineering with 15+ years of experience. Recent assignment with Performance Measurements and Testing project for HR and CRM applications of a public corporation encouraged me to get trained with SAP.
But I don't know from where to start ?
Here is a summary of my skill sets:
- Applications and Test tools development in JAVA and C (mostly Linux based)
- Interface development for load testing of Web Services using SOAP-UI (Linux based)
- Performance test development of web based and SAP applications using HP VuGen (Loadrunner)
- Embedded system development using C, VxWorks
- Expert in UNIX (Linux), MySQL
Recent interaction with SAP:
- Performance test development for an HR and CRM modules (entry through web portal)
I would prefer to stay within technical arena. Please suggest me which module of the SAP should I start with for a formal training.

No, Simens is just a training partner of SAP.
How much will be the fees for that module?
Cost for certification is 28,000 rs, but if u go for training and certification both it will cost more. Not sure of the exact amount.

Duration is 1 month.

SAP Licensing Issue

One of customer purchased SAP licenses from one authorised vendor and getting implementation done from other authorised vendor.
The vendor from whom licenses were purchased didnot pay full payment to SAP but collected payment from the customer and utilized for his need. As a result, temporary license has expired and the customer is heldup. The implementation team cannot do any work at present.
What if the vendor is unable to pay to SAP. Is there any liability on SAP. Whom to contact in SAP?
What is alternative left to customer now.

This you can't decide based on some people opinion, yes you may consider majority people opinion, but i would suggest to go far demo for all these three institutes and check the faculty background and how effectively he is teaching.
Have seen in some cases the faculty in those institutes are freshers just after the passing the certifications, they become faculty in the same institute with these faculties you may not get the good knowledge.
I am willing to join for SAP ABAP. Also tell which is be better OLT or ILT?
As per my opinion i would suggest first learn the course through some local institutes and then go far OLT.
Also does bank loan option is there with these organisations??
This is not just depend upon the institute but also depends on your current job stability or if you are not working loan can not be given on your name you may have to provide some other supporting documents like if you are staying own house or your father/mother Govt employee etc.
These details directly you call HDFC bank or any bank which is having contacts with the institutes for the eligibility criteria.

Contact folder in iPhone

I've been having problems syncing my iPhone to my address book on my mac. Ive recently purchased an iPhone and am currently updating all my contact list & entering new ones.
As a member of mobileme I am using the option of updating on the contacts on the net as the progamme is set up for.
Now heres where is seems to get buggy.
Ive put on a folder called Home which I putting all my needed household numbers in. Now on mobileme online it shows the aformentioned folder with the relevant names & numbers. However on the iphone in address it only shows the folder and no contacts?
Now last week when I made this folder on my mac it never showed up on my iphone. (yes I did re-sync mac & phone)
I have re-synced at various times during the day, other contacts behaving correctly straight away, except with this folder called Home??
Anyone come across anything like this before?

I assume where your talking about turning off my contact settings this is on the mobileme section of my mac & not mobileme online, as I dont have any options on there to do any type of setting re-boot.
Incedently I started a new folder called House and put the contacts in and they ported over to my phone straight away. I then deleted the Home folder online, but its still showing up on my iphone along with the new one I created.
Strange it must not like the name Home??
Anyway I will give this a go when I get in.
