  • Unable to install 10.7.3, checksum error/corrupt file

I am having problems installing 10.7.3, I tried both the combo and software download methods and both result in similar error messages about checksum errors / corrupt file. I have cleared out any previous updates from my update folder, restarted router, restarted imac, tried download several times between last night and today but no getting past the error messages. The software update method tells me the file is corrupt during the restart installation, the combo download displays the error about checksum when I attempt to open it. Also tried from disk utility and get the same message.
Any advice on how to proceed? I currently have 10.7.2 installed, have no problems downloading other files (downloaded some video from itunes & applications recently although not as large as the 1.3G file that 10.7.3 is). My ISP has a download cap so every attempt reduces my retry.

Spoke too late, at the end of the install the summary window reads:
    The installation failed
The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.
Back to square one again. Still on 10.7.2.
First time in my apple owning period I have encountered problems such as this, its all worked up until now!

  • R100 checksum error

I have 3 Toshiba Portege R100s running Windows XP SP1/SP2. They all suffer from a checksum error on boot up which of course goes away once you press F1 and End in the BIOS. Toshiba's Memory Tester utility was run on each one, and all 3 laptop's fell into the range of laptops needing repair under Toshiba's Memory exchange program.
While being repaired by Toshiba, 2 of the laptops had their RTC battery replaced (the other's battery was replaced by a Toshiba authorized repair shop). Within 2 days of their return, all laptops still got a checksum error on boot up. Each laptop is running the newest BIOS, the same software, and I have gone through Toshiba's posted checksum error troubleshooting list.
Anyone else out there suffering from this? I have another Notebook on the way just in case.

    Hi,
I found a FAQ at the Toshiba Knowledge Base about checksum errors! Perhaps it helps you a little!

  • HP Model #A6000n Bios Checksum Error after Bios Update!!

I performed the Bios update posted on Hp's website...After the re-boot, all I get is this error, "BIOS Checksum Error," and then the black screen looks for a bootable disk on floppy (this computer has none), then, it looks for a bootable disk on the CD drive.  Now, I have talked to HP support and they say I need to order the recovery disks.  Can someone send me a bootable file that I could burn to CD for this model machine and get it up and running??  I have an older machine here that would allow me to make a bootable CD but, I have no idea where to locate some kind of BIOS update and or, bootable file to flash the BIOS.  I am so mad that HP has wanted me to purchase this CD recovery program just to get back into Windows Vista.  But, I am not sure what to do since the BIOS update must have been corrupt when I flashed the ASUS motherboard.  This computer is my Aunts and she failed to make back up restore disks and now I am lost as to getting this thing up and running...Please help!!
    Thanks!

Like I said, if you have a floppy it is easy, especially since the computer doing the floppy is XP.OK, here we go.
    1) place floppy disk in drive
    2) open My Computer and right click on the floppy drive
    3) pick format from the menu that pops up
    4) put a check mark in the box next to the "Create an MS-DOS startup disk"
    5) click "Start"
    6) when completed copy the awdflash.exe to the floppy
    7) right click on the BIOS file from HP
    8) move the mouse cursor to 7-zip and then click on "open archive"
    9) double click on the folder icon in the new window
    10) right click on the ROM file - in this case 513.rom
    11) pick "copy to" from the menu and browse to the floppy
    12) when that is complete, the floppy should be ready to work
    13) Move the floppy and ribbon cable to the Vista computer.  It does not need to be mounted but make sure it is not touching anything metal ( a stake of books will do fine) and connect the ribbon cable and power to the Vista computer's motherboard and power supply (of course this is done with both of the computers off and unplugged)
Now ready to go on the Vista computer. When the power button is pressed on the computer, there will be an HP splash screen come up.  From that screen press the "Enter BIOS" or "Boot setup" key as indicated.  Forgot to ask if this screen comes up in previous posts.  If this screen does not show then this is going to be much harder.
When in the BIOS, look for boot order and then set it to boot from the floppy first.  Save choices to exit.
    14) Reboot - should end up with a flashing cursor in the top right corner
    15) type AWDFLASH 513.rom /py/sn/cc then hit Enter
    16) when and if it completes power down and remove the floppy drive from the computer
That should do it.  If it does not work or there are problems come back with an explanation of what did happen.
Of course, doing all this at your own risk.  I am just trying to help.

  • Invalid Checksum Error for Photoshop Elements 10 installation

I have tried installing Photoshop Elements 10 on my Macbook but I got an "invalid checksum" error (saying that the following disk images couldn't be opened).  Was there a previous solution to this type of problem?

That response is not at all helpful.  I have no idea what you were referring to, but there is no pale yellow bar at the top of the forum when I am looking at it now.
In the future, consider posting a URL or something else that will continue to be relevant and useful in a persistent way.  Perhaps typing a sentence or two about what's going on if you know.  If it seems obvious to you, that doesn't mean it will be in the future to others having the same problem.

  • Installation Problems (checksum error)

So, I've had Adobe Reader for awhile.  My primary browser is Google Chrome.  Reader has always worked fine in Chrome.  .pdf files display with no problem.  Some time in the past month, that stopped, and they no longer would display (but they still displayed in Internet Explorer).  I finally decided today to uninstall and then reinstall Adobe Reader 9.2 to see if that would fix the problem.  I went to the website, downloaded the .exe, and attempted to install it.  5.7% of the way into it, it stopped and displayed this error in a popup:
"Adobe has detected a corrupt file (checksum error).  The program has been closed without installing.
    Info ID: 6800.346.14.2.20034
Please send the Info ID to http://www.adobe.com/misc/bugreport.html"
I've searched for hours now trying to find an answer.  I've found very little even relating to this error.  Adobe hasn't responded yet (not that I thought they would).  I downloaded other applications to delete any leftover files in case the uninstall didn't cover them.  I have no clue what else to try at this point.  0_o

I'm jealous that you got it installed. The error I received originally came from using the .exe download. I get a different error if I use the Firefox download manager with McAfee Scan Install disabled (I haven't tried with it enabled and I see no reason to). The error I get using the download manager is "Operating system error! (16248.103.5302.8000)." The error number means nothing to me or the internet. I click ok on the box, and it says the install was canceled.
And yet, "Adobe.com" managed to get installed using the manager. Funny how the thing you didn't ask for gets installed when nothing else does.
    0 for 2 so far.
I would try using the IE download manager (which I'm sure is entirely reliable), but IE hangs on every Adobe page I try viewing with it.

  • Aria2 Routine Table DHT and checksum errors

    Hi,
I'm actually reinstalling my Arch system, but there comes a problem :
When I was having my previous installation, everything was working fine and the ~/.aria2/dht.dat appeared alone without giving any problem or anything.
There, I reinstall it, import my ~/.aria2 from the previous installation to my actual home directory and remove the DHT.dat.
Then I start a torrent, just to see if all is going well and everything.
I get this error message :
[...]ERROR - [DHTSetup.cc:112] Exception caught while loading DHT routing table from ~/.aria2/dht.dat
Exception: [DHTSetup.cc:104] errorCode=1 Could not open file
So, I remember when I first installed it I didn't have to create the DHT or anything, so I look inside my ~/aria2 folder and see that the dht.dat just got created.
I start another torrent and I get this error :
ERROR - Checksum error detected. file=[...]
I start 2 more torrents, same error happen.
I just wanted to ask : Is this a normal behavior that all the torrents I tried had a Checksum error and that I had a DHTSetup.cc error ?
    Thanks,
    Totony.
EDIT : Just looked at some informations about the DHT. It doesn't seems like the two problems are linked, but I still wonder, is this a normal error (the DHTSetup.cc). And why do all my torrents have a checksum error ? (Dependency not installed ?)
EDIT 2 : Problem got fixed, checksum errors where because of the -V option added to aria2 and DHT error is a normal error.

Just adding a column and making it a text field isn't enough. You need to set the source of the column to be equal to the other columns added by the wizard. After setting it up properly, it should be fine.

  • Several errors of the form [drm:.... ] *ERROR*, especially checksum

    Hello to all,
I am new to Arch Linux and not that experienced in Linux. But I want to learn more. In fact, I have learned a lot since I switched from Fedora to Arch.
I will straight away go to my problem:
As indicated in the subject, I have noticed several errors concerning [drm:....] this morning when I booted and checked my system with journalctl -b.
I do not know how long these errors are there because I yesterday used journalctl for the first time.
Here is the result of journalctl -b:

EDID is Extended Display Identification Data, information stored about you display's capabilities and geometry that are read by the video driver so provide automatic configuration.  The checksum error meant that there were inconsistencies in the data read.  No idea why.
    Edit,
    Oh, and welcome to Arch
Thank you for the info and for the welcome. I will read more about EDID and drm.

With journalctl, you have certainly discovered a powerful debugging tool.  It will no doublt come in handy along your learning adventures here.
I will admit being very impressed by your use of code tags in a first post as a new Arch Linux user.  Bravo sir!
Thank you also for your welcome and your advises. I  saw from other posts that the people here use some special style of representing code, so I searched a bit and clicked here and there and clicked on the BBCode link below the 'Quick post'-window and voila found the help site of the forum.

I will search the net a bit and will report here what I have found on this issue.
    Edit,
oh, and if someone here has an idea, I would be happy to 'hear' it.

  • Error usingEXE/Building Installer, and cFP .iak error

I built my app and created an .EXE, however when I run it, I get the error(see image error1.jpg) "Cannot Load the browse dialog. Some necsessary components are missing.to correct the problem, reinstall the driver software that is associated with this control." when I try to bring up the Filedpoint browse dialog. This when ra on the computer with LV8.5 full devel. version. If I just run the VI, everything works fine.
Also, when I try to build an installer, I get these errors: (see image)
And then the final question, whenever I shut down labview, I have to open MAX, create a new .iak file, "find devices" for each FP-device and then press "start" so I can see the current values. Then I have to remove the FPdevices from my project, and readd them (new targets and devices), (importing the Fieldpoint configuration does not work). then it all works again untill I close labview. might it be associated with the fact that I cannot save the config file in the project? (see image) when I close the window again, the configpath is gone and when I clock add it says "warning, error saving file".
    thanx.

I've just found temporary (let's say) solutions:
    About my exe:
test editor for cFP, so I have to allow user to set cFP chanel (let's say DO1), set description, and create table of boolean values.
I want to use cFP "Browse" dialog, but:
there is a VI called "FP get Configuration Info.vi" (Functions>>Measurements I/O>> FieldPoint>> Advanced>>cFP Get Configuration Info)
Set path to *.iak file, define configuration name, communication resource (MAX's cFP name) and device name (l.s: cFPAI-111@3) and operation  get item list (long string)
It will get us all input adreses at module cFP-AI-111 and next module and so on...
So user will operate at ring or listbox to select cFP channel what is, hmm... proper solution when he isn't connected to cFP at my exe.

  • Checksum error

I have been running a dbxml database for about 18 months now and recently (in last 2 weeks) I have been getting the following error message:
    dbxml- getDocument c0104

    dbxml- print

PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery
    db_recover -c -P 0625g7Ui3 -f
    recovery 85% complete
Running recovery does not make a difference. The only way to recover is to copy the replication client DB (which does not have these errors) to the master and restart the application. It only seems to affect random documents in the DB. All of the ones affected have not been modified in many weeks to months (they have been read but not written to in this time). Has anyone encountered this before? Does this indicate a hardware issue?

A check of our raid disks found parity errors at the time of the failures.
    Thanks for your help.
