BW OLAP Universe connection error after applying BOE XI3.1 SP2

Hi,
We installed BOE XI 3.1 SP2 today on the server, and since then we are not able to execute the WebI reports built on top of BW OLAP universe. The error message is - An error occurred while trying to load the provider for transport sap. Failed to load library mda_sap. System error message.
The same error message appears when I test the universe connection.
Has anyone come across this issue? Your help is really apprecaited.
Our system config is Windows 2003 server, 64 bit, SP2.

Hi Ingo,
Yes, applying SP2 solved the problem. We reaslized that SAP GUI 710 is prerequiste to run the SP2 setup file.

I followed the following order to install the software on windows 2008 64bit os Server.
1) BOE XI3.1
2)BOE XI 3.1 SP2
3) BOE XI 3.1 FP2.5
4)SAP GUI 710 AND PATCH 15
5)SAP JCO 32BIT 2.1.9
6)SAP IK 3.1
7)SAP IK 3.1 SP2
8)SAP IK 3.1 FP2.5
9) SAP TRANSPORTS
I did role imports and as i mentioned in the post when i try to create universe on the server i have this issue "cs:dbdriver failed to load : c:\program files (x86)business objects enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataaccess\connectionserver\dbd_sap.dll(the specified module could not be found".
But the above mentioned dbd_sap.dll is there in the mentioned folder.
this is working fine on the client system.
Please help to rectify this error, is this any autherization issue, i am in administrators group of the server.

Hi Vani,
Just go to the System Configuration and UME configuration.
Now go to user mapping tab, and remove the entry for a reference system. Then check for the issue if persists, restart system.

6500WL - No connection Error - After trying to scan

Today I installed a new HP 6500WL
I did the following things:
. Plugged it to the network (wired)
. Configured Static IP.
. Checked everything from the internal webserver.
. Fax test
. Print test.
. Scan test (from remote pc)
When I try to do a scan directly from the printer using the scan now button I must chose to which PC. I select the PC and the click Ok. The scanner says scanning. After a few seconds I get the error "No connection" and the scan fails.
Then I try again to do the scan and then another error occurs "No scan options".
It seems that after the "No connection" error the Scan Opction (Scan - DOC, Scan, JPEG, Email-JPEG) are deleted from the printer.
Using the solution center I can add those options again to the front panel but I still can't scan from the printer.
I'm running Windows XP Home with the drivers provided in the CD.
I checked firewall logs if there were any blocked actions but there weren't.

Let's set a static IP address in this way
- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you know what that is, set an IP outside that range but no higher than 254 (the last number in the address). If you do not know this, enter the current IP address.
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Leave the gateway and DNS blank. Click 'Apply'
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

Data Federator data source not available causes Universe Connection error

I created a Data Federator project that connects to 20 servers across US and Canada. All data sources are SQL Server 2005. The DF project maps 40 source objects into 4 target objects. I created a universe based on the DF project and we have been quite pleased with Webi query response. Today one of the source servers was taken off line and this generated a connection error when trying to access the universe (not trying to access the data source that failed). We do not want the universe connection to error when one source server is not available u2013 is that possible?
If the answer is no then I see us abandoning what appears to be a great solution for real time distributed reporting and resorting to ETL and moving data.

Errors after applying Solaris 8,9,10 os patch on server in 11.5.9

Hi,
After applying the OS patch in the server,we are receiving following errors in database log.
The application is 11.5.9 and database is 9.2.0.5
The below errors genarting multiple tracefiles and Core dumps in instance.
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kssadf_stage()+4] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0x0] [] []
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [12333], [0], [0], [0], [], [], [], []
ORA-00443: background process "QMN0" did not start
ORA-27300: OS system dependent operation:fork failed with status: 12
ORA-27301: OS failure message: Not enough space
ORA-27302: failure occurred at: skgpspawn3
Anyone encountered above issue in your environments.Any ideas on this...

Getting Error After Applying 9.3.2_HotFix_IAC_Starter_v09 to CCP 9.3.2

                We are doing a Validation of CIAC Solution for Japanese customers. We are getting an issue while configuring the CCP 9.3.2 after applying the 9.3.2_HotFix_IAC_Starter_v09 hotfix. The “Set Provisioning Setting” Option throwing some SQL query error while configuring, kindly refer the attached screen shot. We have followed the steps as pre the IAC 3.0.1 Configuration guide.
Environment Details:
CCP 9.3.2                                                             -              Windows Server 2008 R2 Ent SP1 Japanese
SQL Server                                                          -              SQL Server 2008 R2 Ent Japanese
CPO 2.3.0 with Content update 1              -              Windows Server 2008 Ent SP1
Note: We didn’t get this error before applying the hot fix.
I have attached the installation logs after Upgrade.

thank you Joe for filing the Bug.
When I observed the issue I was quite at a loss and it took me a while to find the reason.
I created a softlink on libm.so.2 but this didn' t solved the issue. ldd /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/Apache/bin/web-server showed that this library was now found but some other still not.
The reason was a bit strange and I am not sure if my troubleshooting steps caused it (e.g. re-applying the patch) or if I was just unconcentrated as "it was late in the evening ...."
Finally I found that the other library files which comes with LMS (libaprutil-1.so.0, libexpat.so.0, libiconv.so.2, libapr-1.so.0) and are stored in NMSROOT/MDC/Apache/lib have had a byte size of 0;
Happily, I had still another server running and could copy those files to the local server, restarted dmgtd and got it back running
So I am not sure if the patch just introduces libm.so.2 or if it also has some impact on somee other libraries in NMSROOT/MDC/Apache/lib.
I will update the other server in the next 2 or 3 weeks, then I can tell....

Database connecting error after kernel upgrade

Hi Gurus
I am tring to upgrade my system kernel from 144 to 179, the system based on AIX 6.1 and DB2 B9.5.2,
After upgrading kernel SAP is not starting and I found database connection error because which Database is not activated. The startdb command completed successfully. I found I/O error while trying to make db connection.
I am also tring make SAP up by using old kernel (backup) but getting same error for backup kernel also. Now my system is totaly down.
So please help me out if you have any idea for this error in db2 database. The start db logs are as given below.

Hi Jayesh,
from your description I would guess that the IO error is not related to the kernel change at all.
Please have a look at db2diag.log for the real cause of the problem.
You should be able to reproduce the error with
db2 activate database <dbname>

For me the OpenCL Mercury Render engine is less stable and performs worse than the CUDA equivalent on NVIDIA cards. As you say you are using an NVIDIA card, see if there is a CUDA option for Filmconvert or use software rendering on the CPU as you have found.

Dump error after applying patches

after applying SAP_BASIS Packs (SAPKB62019 and SAPKB62020) the transaction was canceled before finched implementing the patches and We are receiving ABAP dump errors while executing any transaction ( syntax_error)

           Symptom: After you import Basis Support Package SAPKB62020, you may experience a change in the system response at different points in an R/3 Enterprise system. This problem can be seen in the sudden appearance of screen elements, for example, or in changes in the process flow of transactions. In extreme cases, it can also cause data corruption.
           Reason: Support Package SAPKB62020 included an incomplete correction to BAdI processing that caused the execution of BAdI implementation of deactivated Enterprise Extensions.
           Solution: You must refer to SAP Note 601742. Import Basis Support Package SAPKB62023 as soon as possible (planned release date is May 06, 2003) or implement the additional correction instructions as described in Note 601742.

Adobe Forms - Error after applying SP9

Hi all! We have installed Adobe Forms based on the version included in the NW 04 GA package. Printing a Adobe Form out of the ABAP Stack worked fine then (at least with the correct printer device). Now after applying SP09 for ABAP, J2EE and ADS Objects we always get the same error when testing the identical Adobe Form in transaction "SFP": FPRUNX-001
All the things stated in the ADS Config Guide are maintained (to my knowledge). Note "717568" didn't help either.

OBIEE 11g database connection error after deploying to server.

Hi,
I deployed RPD to obiee 11g server and when I run a report it is giving database connectivity error. In 10g we just specify OLAP_DSN, OLAP_USER and same in connection pool with database password. I did the same in 11g as well but it's not working.
Is there any other place I need to specify database connection detail?

Internet Procurement responsibility error after applying patch

After applying patch 5156915 we get this errro when we select i Procrurment responsibility:
The POR SSP HOME function is not available under the Internet Procurement responsibility.
iProcurement is installed.
Any ideas would be most welcome thank you.

I am a little worried that I couldnt find that same document.
I entered in ML "The POR SSP HOME function is not available" ....and that document did not appear.
Then I entered it with underscores : "The POR_SSP_HOME function is not available" ... and now I can see the doc.
How did you do your search?! I am guessing you used udnerscores or else something different? ? ?

By the way we are told to "clear" the _pages directory. I would do this with
cat /dev/null > oa_html , etc ?
