BW Querry Error

Hi Gurus
One of our user trying to access Z query through Bex Web Analyzer which starts with ! . This is a Z query which is a custom query. This Z query is accessible. When it comes to SAP Standard query that starts with ! followed by 0 (Zero), he receives an authorization error. Authorization values are same for both Z and 0 queries. Anyone does have any idea why is it happening?

"I am doing the Bex pulling of BI 7.0 in BI 3.5 system" you are open BI 7.0 query with BW 3.5 query designer ?
it is not possible since GUI level should be high which is not compatable.
and if 3.x query is opened with BI 7.0 query designer, until query is saved it will be in 3.x Version, once query saved in BI 7.0 query designer, then query version will be BI 7.0 and it will not open with BW 3.5 query designer.
i hope this is what you faced. i think query is damaged, create new on with BW 3.X query designer
also try open existing BW 3.x Query with BW 3.X query designer, to check existing quries.

Database Querry error when using # in column name

I am using the Database toolkit to work with a MySQL database.
Some of the columns in the database have names with special characters:
Batch# and Employee#. The database tools give me an error when I
try to write data to those fields. I have tried square brackets
around the column name [Batch#] but that doesn't seem to help. Is
there a way to update these fields with the Database tools?

Yes i am using SOA Suite 11g and i have chosen the right platform class as i am able to insert into other tables in DB2.The problem is in one table which has # appended in the column name.e.g.
'abc#'.# charater is not supported in the wizard as the column name and that is why this error.I changed from backend and than tested i got the same error in the em.I need way to handle the columns have names like 'abc#'.

Queue Problems - 451 4.4.0 DNS Querry Error

Our Current set up:
Server1: Hubtransport, Mailbox Server
Server2: CAS, Hubtransport server
Server3: Exchange 2k3 mailbox server
 Our issue is we are unable to send email to a specific domain. It doesn't matter if the person sending the mail is on the 2k7 or 2k3 mailbox server. The queue's last error states: "451 4.4.0 DNS query Failed."
I can however do a NSlookup from the machine, and telnet to their mailservers on port 25 and get a helo response.
I have enabled send connector protocol logging and nothing even shows up in the log about trying to contact this domain.
I am at a loss as to where to look next. How does exchange 2007 handle its DNS resolution. Please help.

That's not a good thing. Did you also flush the DNS cache with
"ipconfig /flushdns" and restart the DNS Client service?

Flushed and registered DNS and restarted DNS client.
Removed Send Connector to try mail without it but no luck, still goes to queue with same error.
I wasn't sure what NextHopConnector 61027a30-e9a9-4c2d-acb5-c1efc96d5d8b was so I ran get-sendconnector <guid> and it came back with:

Error querying fact: -2417217900 invalid column name

while validating script logic it gives error"error querying fact: -2417217900 invalid column name P_ACCT"
P_ACCT dimension created by me.
problem has started today while creating new script logic.
as old logic created earlier was sucessfully validated
new logic was created refering document 330 for bpc,so there is no scripting error
pls guide me through this.

i tried way you sugested but was unable to validate.
i also tried updating that dimension members but it was giving me some olap querry error while processing dimension after changing dimension members.
so finally i deleted that dimension created new one did whole process again
& was successfull

The only references I am finding to the ODCI Index is in the
Oracle Data Cartridge Developers manual. SInce I am not
developing a Data Cartridge, I am assuming the error is coming
from either the Oracle Geocoder or the MapInfo implementation of
that. In either case I do not see how I can correct the
problem.
Is the suggestion that there might be a problem with the
geometry (in my case both are x,y points)?

Creating Querry - Dump error

When i am creating querry in SQVI using Table Join i am getting run time error MESSAGE_TYPE_X " The current application program detected a situation which really should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X)."

Javascript Error while executing BEx querry from browser

Hi Folks
We have been getting a number of Javascript errors while executing BEx querries from the browser.
The various errors that we have been getting are:
'SAPBWItemCatalog' is undefined
'SAPBWJSgdo' is null or not an object
'SAPBWShortCutCatalog' is undefined
We have already looked at SAP Note 783496 and validated the solution.
Is there some specific settings that needs to be maintained for this?

Just spent 2 hours chasing this one so I know how frustrating it is.
Solution:-
Check mime service in SICF - dafault_host/sap/bw/mime - if it's greyed out activate it.

IDES system copy ..error during IMPORT_ABAP..unable to create indexes

I am doing a IDES system copy. I ran the report SMIGR_CREATE_DLL , the export activities have been completed successfully as well on the source system. Now on the target system, during the import, I am getting the following error in the log file SAPDFACT.log.

The owner for this table is SAPSR3. Some oracle forums suggested to drop the index before recreating it. But when i do "drop index SAPSR3."/BI0/E0RSTT_C06~P..it says.."the specified index does not exist". But when I go to recreate this index, it doesn get created successfully. After that when I re-run the import, it again fails. Suprisingly..now if i go to check if this index is present thru a sql querry:
select owner, object_name, object_type from dba_objects where object_name='SAPSR3."/BI0/E0RSTT_C06~P"', it tells "no rows selected". This is happening everytime, I create an index, where it gets created successfully, and the import again fails with the same error in SAPDFACT.log.
I found an SAP note 885441 named..common errors during migration..although mine isnt a migration..my both source and destination are Red hat 64 bit platform.
The note 1st asks to download the latest R3load..which I did and extracted in the kernel directory of the source..then it also asked to edit the .TSK file..in my case..SAPDFACT.TSK..where the lines:
I /BIC/E<Cubename>~<index> C err
to I /BIC/E<Cubename>~<index> C ign..
I did that..this time..the import again fails..but in the SAPDFACT.log..it complains about some other index..n the same gets generated in the .TSK file as well..the earlier index error is not again generated.
I am not sure..what is going wrong..my export went through successfully.i have done the prep steps for export as well..before that i ran the SMIGR_CREATE_DLL report as well..
Any inputs are highly appreciated..

Error in Generating reports with large amount of data using OBIR

we hve integrated OBIR (Oracle BI Reporting) with OIM (Oracle Identity management) to generate the custom reports. Some of the custom reports contain a large amount of data (approx 80-90K rows with 7-8 columns) and the query of these reports basically use the audit tables and resource form tables primarily. Now when we try to generate the report, it is working fine with HTML where report directly generate on console but the same report when we tried to generate and save in pdf or Excel it gave up with the following error.

Hi,
Please note that updates to the SAP system tables are not allowed within the rules of SAP's support agreement, even if you are only trying to update UDF values. Therefore, I strongly recommend you don't run your query on a production system.

Scheduling error in ppds

Hi,
I got this error "No gap for activity ||| found within the planning horizon" during production planning run.
Diagnosis
There is not a large enough gap for the activity ||| on the mode
1- in the planning period specified in the time profile.
System Response
The system does not schedule or reschedule.
What could be the reason for this error ? Kindly help.
I am struck with this. i am not getting this error if i create any order manually in product view. but when i run planning for a particular sale order in variable heuristic i am getting this error. any idea pls help

Dear all,
I had posted the querry to sap. below is what they are saying*.
I had a look at system APD and started heuristic SAP_PP_002 for one
of the customer segments. As expected the following happened:
1. As the 'planning direction' in the strategy settings of the heuristic is set to 'Backwards + Revers' and the planned order availability
date should be today (due to the early requirement date) strategy 1
(backwards scheduling) can't be successful and thus leads to an error /SAPAPO/DM_SCHEDFAIL044
2. Strategy 2 ('revers', i.e. forward scheduling) is successful then and creates a planned order that starts today and ends in the future.
Both steps & messages are displayed in the scheduling log of the
heuristic. Both messages are abolutely correct and are created as
expected.
All created orders are overlapping. This is correct, as they are
scheduled infinitely according to the heuristic settings.
In order to do a finite scheduling of the created orders a suitable DS
heuristic should be carried out as a subsequent step after the PP
heuristic run (as recommended by SAP).
So altogether your system works absolutely correct and there is no
indication for a software error.
SO FRIENDS,
DOES HE MEAN THAT I SHUD NOT RUN VARIABLE HEURISTIC AT ALL. HE MEANS TO SAY THAT I HAVE TO RUN PLANNING IN PLANNING RUN.
