BW report usage statistics

Hello, we have BW web reports integrated in WEBAS
Is there a way to obtain some kind of usage statistics?
We need to know the top 10 used reports.
Best regards

Hello,
have a look in the technical content (Transaction: RSA1->Infoprovider>technical content->BW Statistics) there is a complete BW Datamodel which read data from rsddstat with ready-to-go queries.
Please ask if you need more advice.

    Report Usage Statistics
    v2006.0.8
We are trying to figure out how to can produce reports on the report usage statistics in our newScale/cognos environment.   For example, we would like to report on what reports were run in a month and by whom, etc. so that we can get an idea of reporting activity and what reports are popular and what reports are under-utilized, etc. What do we need to do collect report usage statistics?
Found the following files in the \Program Files\Cognos\cer4\bin directory:
    PPESAuditFileProcessorMsg.dll
    PPESAuditFileProcessor.lib
    PPESAuditFileProcessor.exp
    PPESAuditFileProcessor.exe
Also found the following files in the same directory:
    pwrplay.tlb
    PWRPLAY.REG
    PwrPlay.exe
    PwrPlay.dll
Did NOT find the actual log file in that directory:
    PPES_Audit.log
We know there is a cability to do this in other cognos environments we have on site, but not sure if it's available in the RequestCenter site.  If it is, what do we need to do turn the logging on?  Is there anything else we need to have in place before we can run reports on the audit log?

  • What is "Default" in Usage Statistics report detail?

I am running RoboHelp Server 8 and am outputing the "Usage Statistics" report which has an option to report on Browsers and Operating Systems. In the results for both is a category called "Default" (see images below). Does anyone know what this means? If you can answer that, maybe you can also tell me what the "Unknown" operating system is? I suspect this maybe an Apple Mac user as I know one of our users has tried accessing the help through the application installed on a Mac.

Further to my previous post, I can confirm that the "Unknown" operating system is definitely NOT an Apple Macintosh user. Having run the report on another area, a seperate "Macintosh" category is displayed thus leaving me in the dark again. If anyone can shed some light on this and the "Default" category I'd be very grateful.

  • Precalculated Web Template Usage Statistics

Does anyone know if there are usage statistics stored for a web template that has been precalculated (HTML) through reporting agent? It is accessed through a URL with the DATA_MODE=STATIC querystring parameter added. The statistics are stored in RSDDSTAT when the reporting agent job runs, but not when a user requests the precalculated web template through the URL directly in a web browser. Are the usage statistics stored in another location, other than the RSDDSTAT table in this situation?

    Hello,
We had the same problem and sorted out it but don´t using BW standard functionality. I added a image tag on all web template that reference to a .Net application. This application get Windows user from Internet Explorer and store statistics (user, time, webtemplate, filter options, etc) on a SQL Server Database. I don't finish the application frontend but we are getting good information directly of the database.
Let me know if I could give you more details.

  • Qn about query usage statistics

    Hello
I'm trying to find / analyze infocube usage statistics for the first time and have a few questions.
I have a 3.5 cube "ZCOLLECTIONS" on which I need to run statistics to see how often queries on that cube are used.
I see two queries under that infocube - 'Collections_1_query' and 'Collections_2_query'
I see that statistics cube 0TCT_C01 is loaded everyday.
I created a query on 0TCT_C01 and restricted the Infoprovider to ZCOLLECTIONS and query to 'Collections_1_query'. When I ran the query, it gave no results (so I guess this query is never used?)
When I tried to restrict the Infoprovider by the query Collections_2_query, it says that the query could not be found.
I can see from the query properties that it was created a few weeks back. So why would it not be found? Could it be because the query was saved in the author's favorites?
Am I looking for the statistics in the correct way ?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks
    Karen.

    Hi ,
Check this out..hope your loading stats data on a regular basis. Please check if those queries your are looking for are present in the Technical Content cubes.

  • TIPS(35) : SCRIPTS THAT REPORT SESSION STATISTICS

    제품 : SQL*PLUS
    작성날짜 : 1997-02-10
TIPS(35) : SCRIPTS THAT REPORT SESSION STATISTICS
    =================================================
SQLDBA Monitor screens get their information from the V$ tables in the
SGA. These tables can be queried directly to obtain this information
in a form that is sometimes more readable and easier to report.
Following are some SQL scripts that report session and system statistics.
    1. Script to find the Session Id of the current session.
    select s.sid sess_id
    from v$process p, v$session s
    where p.addr = s.paddr
    and terminal = userenv('terminal');
    2. Script to find the Oracle Session Id if the operating system
PID of the process is known.
    select s.sid sess_id
    from v$process p, v$session s
    where p.addr = s.paddr
    and p.spid = '&OS_PID';
    3. Script to find statistic values for the current session.
Must be run from the same terminal as the session.
    set numwidth 5
    column orclname format a12 word_wrap
    column sysname format a8 word_wrap
    column name format a40 word_wrap
    set recsep off
    set pagesize 60
    select st.sid sid, s.username orclname, p.username sysname,
    n.name name, st.value value
    from v$sesstat st, v$statname n, v$session s, v$process p
    where st.statistic# = n.statistic#
    and st.sid = s.sid
    and s.paddr = p.addr
    and p.terminal = userenv('terminal');
    4. Script to find statistic values for the any session, if the operating
system PID of the process is known.
    set numwidth 5
    column orclname format a12 word_wrap
    column sysname format a8 word_wrap
    column name format a40 word_wrap
    set recsep off
    set pagesize 60
    set verify off
    select st.sid sid, s.username orclname, p.username sysname,
    n.name name, st.value value
    from v$sesstat st, v$statname n, v$session s, v$process p
    where st.statistic# = n.statistic#
    and st.sid = s.sid
    and s.paddr = p.addr
    and p.spid = '&OS_PID';
    5. Script to find statistic values for the system.
    column name format a40 word_wrap
    set recsep off
    set pagesize 60
    select n.name name, st.value value
    from v$sysstat st, v$statname n
    where st.statistic# = n.statistic#;
The above scripts are written to be run from SQL*Plus. Exclude the
COLUMN and SET commands if you wish to run them from SQLDBA.

The issue is the report does not work.
I get an "error" where date information should have been shown.
I have attached a screen capture to show my problem.
    Roger.

  • Report jobs statistics disappears from Enterprise Manager

    Hi,
In Report server Enterprise manager, the report jobs statistics like failed jobs, current jobs, Finished jobs, configuration stats, Response and Load, General Stats, Component status, etc disappear. Only after restarting the report server they appear again. It is not possible for me to restart the production report server frequently. Is there any solution other than restarting.
Also when I click on Failed jobs, the page appears blank. I have to then stop the report server, rename the rep_server.dat file and then start the report server.
Please suggest a solution if anybody faced the problem in Windows envt.

You can add the "Failed Job Count" metrics to the Notification rule you are using. This will alert you if any job fails.
If that is not enough, you can create a User defined Metrics using the information you need and adding the UDM to the Notification rule

  • Analytics not recording usage statistics

I installed G6 and analytics 1.2. Installation went successfull and sync job updates the database with new communities and users. How ever no portal usage statistics are being recorded on the database.
I created new communities and users, ran the sync job, accessed the communties using the new user / community.
Reviewed the analytics database, no entry for user logins. I ran the sync job again and verified. Still no entries. How and when does the portal usage statistics gets recorded on to the system?
    thanks

Our Plumtree Portal G6 and analytics server are installed on the same computer. Analytics does not recording usage statistics, it shows "no data to display". Why? What should I do?
I have installed analytics many times, the same results are "no data to display".
For once, I got analytics data for one day, the day I installed analytics. After that day, nothing. The same problem as Michael Capuano.

  • Online Usage Statistics

This post is about online usage statistics
Why are they not provided, when BT clearly has the information (it's provided in the "over the limit") e-mails that BT send?
Why does BT continue to ignore (for at least the last 2 years) the several e-mails / complaints every day on the subject to the (Indian) Customer Service Centre?
The standard answer is "download tracking software", but that's fairly useless and impractical for multi-computer users
The next common answer is "check the Hub statistics", but that's also unreliable due to periodic resets
The real answer is for BT to provide this information from the point of collection - i.e. their servers and via a web gateway
So come on BT, provide the information
    TIA
    Martin

So I got another warning today about exceeding the limit
Same story, no definate data, no knowledge when online data would be provided
Except that the man said "it used to be provided online, when usage limits were less"
If it was provided - why is now witheld ?

  • Usage Statistics

Is there any way presently available to monitor the frequency of use of Creative Cloud applications?
I know the "usage data" is collected by Adobe, is there anyway to leverage that and apply it to the Enterprise Dashboard?
Failing that, are there any suggestions for ways to monitor it locally in-house?
    Cheers
    Si

Apple does not provide usage statistics. The best you can do is check your server logs or install your own logging utility for your feed.

  • Portal Usage Reporting and Statistics

Does any body know/use software that can do Portal Usage Reporting? It do not must to be SAP software.

    Marta,
You have a few options. One option is use Performance Viewer.
Follow SAP Note 766839 for SAP J2EEngine 6.20 PL25+ and SAP Note 766598 for SAP J2EEngine 6.20 SR1+. Out of many out of the box reports, you can get User activity reports. It will give you username, number of requests, duration of all requests(ms), average duration of request (ms) during the time when you will monitor the system. You can either schedule monitoring for a duration or start and stop during a short duration.
    Thanks,
    Swapan
