  • How do we change the default profile folder location?

I work for a university in Manhattan. We are trying to install Firefox 5 for our users but Firefox profiles are stored in the AppData folder which is a problem for us as it exceeds the user profile space.
We need a way to have Firefox create the profile elsewhere. Is anyone aware of how to do this?

    Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to offer a solution to our problem. Unfortunately, the Firefox profile information set under the administrative account does not transfer to the user accounts. Even though we created a Firefox profile set to open to a different location, when a user logs in the default profile, located in AppData, is created for them and they do not have access to the new one.
Are you aware of any way to set the profile of each user to automatically be created elsewhere? Thank you.

  • What determines the location of the shared services log files

I've just completed an install and configuration of Shared Services 9.2.1. The shared services log files, SharedServices_Security.log, SharedServices_Admin.log, etc., are being written to the C:\WINDOWS\system32\null\logs\SharedServices9 path. These files should be written to the Tomcat application folders in the Shared Services home, CSS_HOME, folder. e.g. d:\hyperion\sharedservices\9.2\appserver\installedapps\tomcat\5.0.28. This is according to the Shared Services installation documentation.
Is there any way to get these log files written to the d: drive? The following references sharedservices.logdir from the hsslogger.properties file but I don't see where a value is set that I can change.
    log4j.appender.FILE.File=${sharedservices.logdir}${file.separator}SharedServices_Security.log
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi there!
Are you looking for the AOM log file?
    By default it´s located at:
    SIEBEL_ROOT\ENTERPRISE\SIEBEL_SERVER\log
If you can´t find the AOM log files here, try to check the "Log directory" server parameter value.

  • Storage location field in service PR

    Hi,
I am not able to find the storage location field in service PR generated through PS. This field is available for material component but not for external activity with service.
Actully i have a project which have multiple storage location thats why i need that field for external service PR
    Regards
    Kalpesh

    Hi,
there is no need of storage location for external services.
    storage location:
storage location at which the material is stored.
an organizational unit allowing differentiation between the various stocks of a material in a plant.

  • Default Tablespace Creation location Setting

    Hi all:
When I set up the HTML DB 2.2 environment, I musta done something weird, because instead of workspace tablespaces being created in
    /u01/oracle/MILAPEX/
    they get created in
    /u01/oracle/MILAPEX/MILAPEX/
Doesn't appear that I can change this within the APEX admin area. Where / what table stores this location? Appears that I should have put /u01/oracle as the tablespace location, since it would seem that the SID is being appended to the location, and it doesn't provide modification.
    Any suggestions would be welcome.......
    Thx!

    Hi Rajdeep,
there are quite different ways to achieve this,
    - If you are open for enhancement, then write the piece of coding to default the storage location in Includ:MV45AFZB under
USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMINATION which could be applicable for all doc types or set of doc types/ item cat's
    OR
    - You can achieve the same requirement with Transaction variant in Tx:SHD0 while recording enter this field manually & at the time of save , save it as "with content" & assign this variant in order doc type details in VOV8.
then whenver you create sales order using this doc type, storage location will be defaulted. ( assumption is - you have single storage location which has to be defaulted in order)
    Hope it helps,
    Regards,
    ReazuddinMD

  • How to change default save as location

    hi,

Why is Acrobat involved in this process at all? Why don't you save directly the pdf from your email program directly where you want it to be? Acrobat is just adding another step to this process.

  • Changing the default bookmarks save location

    Heya,
If i right-click a website and click "Bookmark this page". It brings up the bookmark panel with the default folder "Bookmarks Menu" is there any way i can change this default ?
"I dont mind if it goes deep into the firefox:config, system or regedit as i am mostly computer savie :)"

''Changing the default bookmarks save location:''
You would do better clicking on the bookmark star on the Location Bar.
You can install "Add Bookmark Here2" and probably make modifications in the options.

    Hi,
You can default the storage location by using the below user exit
    Storage location
Auto determination of storage location as u2018XXXXu2019 for sales order
    Include - MV45AFZB
    Form - USEREXIT_SOURCE_DETERMINATION
    IF (VBAK-AUART = 'XXXX' and VBAK-VKORG = 'XXXX' and VBAK-VTWEG = 'XX').

  • Publication Service available in template VM?

    Hello,
We have installed the patch Patch 8919063 (Oracle Product Hub for Communications, Release 12.1.1) on the applications tier VM. Afterwards we have followed the post installation steps of the patch (Document ID 885359.1). This document refers to another one (ID 888696.1) in whose step number 12 are facing the issue.
More in deep, the 12nd step states: Publication Service is an interface of type web service, available by selecting Product Life Cycle Management > Advanced Product Catalog. Deploy the web service, then grant access to users.
We do navigate to the Integration Repository, view by Interface Type, Web Service -> Product Lifecycle -> Advanced Product Catalogue; but in that section we only see the Item Service, so no Publication Service available.
Is this Publication Service generated somehow in any previous step of the document we are misunderstanding? Is it missing due to the template limitation?
    Regards,
    Aitor.

    Aitor,
Apologies that we have not answered your question for so long.
As you have hopefully determined already -- your question is not about the OVM template. The template itself delivers just the Rapid Install (in your case it was of E-Business Suite 12.1.1). What is delivered and not delivered in the install is same for the template.
The situation you mention sounds like something the Communications Hub patch would need to, and probably already has addressed.
    Thanks!
    Ivo

  • Where is the default location for the OC4J logs?

Where is the default location for the OC4J logs?

Depends on what variant of the product you are using.
In an Oracle Applicaiton Server environment (ie the one you install versus unzip) the stdout/stderr streams from OC4J are captured in the $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs/<group-instance> directory.
If you are using standalone then stdout goes to the console where you started the process.
The logs for the OC4J instance itself are located in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/log/<instance_group> directory. In this directory you'll see different logs for differet areas of the server. Most of the logs however are captured in the oc4j sub-directory in the log.xml file. Whenever you enable an OC4J component logger in the j2ee-logging.xml file or via ASControl, this is where the logs will end up.
Take a look at the $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/config/j2ee-logging.xml file -- the log handlers will give you some idea on the different log files that are in use.
You can configure your application loggers to also direct their log into this file if you wish. See http://buttso.blogspot.com/2007/09/directing-log-messages-into-oc4j.html for an example.
