In case of By-product the price of this by-product is credited to the order or the material stock account of the lead material being manufactured. They have negative quantities. ( Not all negative quantity items fall under these categories!).

Hi,
I am working with joint production and have some issues related to same.
1 - I have created a production order with one co product and one by product.
      But when I do the goods receipt, in MB31, by product is not appearing during goods movement.
2 - During WIP calculation I am always getting values as zero. Even though system is not showing any errors.
3 - System is not identifying any Settlement Rules automatically when I create production order.
4 - Even when I maintain settlement rule with equivalence no.s, system shows settlement only for the main
      product but co product and by product is not appearing at all,
Can you guide me to resolve these issues.

1) Co - Products will be posted in to stock with 101 and by-products with 531 hence you can't post a by product in MB31
3) Assign the settlement Profile in OPJH per order type then u will get the settlement rule copied to Order
4) For the main product and co-product tick co-product check box and for Main product in MRP-II view in Joint Production tab assign source structure
   In the source structure maintain both material no of main & co-product , valid to and eq no

Float before production reg.

HI dudes,
one of my client is having one issue regarding floats, they are using float before production in the schedule margin key and they complaining that the total production time for production order according the basic start and finish dates is lesser than the total activity time given in the routing. i have not checked in the system so far as its new client, can anybody suggest what might be the reason for this.

The following is the logic behind scheduling.
In basic date calculation ( order start date/ order finish date ) the system always calculates backward scheduling.
Steps:
1. From the reqmts date the system subtracts the GR processing time to calculate the order fininsh date.
2. From the order finish date the system subtracts the inhouse production time to calculate the order start date.
3. From the order start date the system subtracts the opening period given in scheduling margin key to calculate the order opening date.
Lead time scheduling :
1.From the order finish date the system subtracts the float after production to calculate the production finish date.
2.From the production finish date the individual operations in the routing are scheduled backwards to calculate production start date.
3.From the production start date the system subtracts the float before productionto calculate order start date.

Quicktime disconnects computer

Hi,
I've been having this issue for awhile. I'm on a wireless home network, and something odd, everytime I try to stream video with Quicktime (any sort of quicktime streaming media), it completely kills my wireless connection, and I have to reset my reuter before I can reconnect to the internet. Any idea why it does this and and how to fix it? Thanks!

You should really read the manual.
"How do you restore from backup? "

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

We are now in the production support. I want to change the DS enhanced code which is written in the implementation bcoz of performance reason. What is the procedure to do that and is there any prerequisites to take. No need to code help here.

Hi Babu,
You just need to change the code in EXIT from development system and then do a transport. The code changes will be directly reflected in production after transport.
You don't need to worry about any delta or anything else as there are no structural changes and new code will start executing from next extraction onward.
Just transport the EXIT FM, no need to transport DS or anything else. If you are doing further structural enhancement then you will have to transport other objects accordingly. But if you are only doing code changes then just transport EXIT.

I have created two production orders for the same material but with diffrent BOM explosion date. now can any one please let me know how will i find which version of alternate BOM of the material is used in the production order.
In the production order header table ( AFKO) i am getting only the alternate BOM number, i am ubable to find which version of alternate BOM is used for Production order.

Dear all,
Suppose if we are transfering data from one company code,controlling area,and plant to other, how to deal with open production orders specially for orders for which goods issue has taken place and in which somel operations are confirmed.How to settle these orders.

Since already Goods issue is over. Some of the operations confirmed also. The best suggestion is you can complete the production in the existing plant/company code only.

Dear Expert,
1.We want a report for a particular Production order cost day wise.
The scenario is like this Production order is Released for 100 Qty.
Today they confirmed only 50 Qty.
Tomorrow they will confirm 50 qty.
Now they want to see the cost for today confirmation and tomorrows confirmation.
Reason being daily the Raw Material cost is changed and they want to track the variance.
Is there any standard report we can achieve this or do we have go for development

A day is not a controlled cost object. You could write a report to look at costs gathered in a day (by reporting date), but I strongly suggest that if you need to analyze costs per day you switch to daily orders.
You'll find then that all the standard processes work for you.

Could you please explain in details?
Other than the way of converting sale order stock which is the normal course of working, you can also consume the unrestricted stock to the production order which has a assignment to the sale order by manually changing the assigment of the material in the production order components. If you enter into the production order components u will be able to see a column called "Spec procurement" where in by default it will be '1' if the production order is w.r.t a sale order. Then proceed with material availability check.

go to the source system RFC connection in SM59 and do a remote login - if you get the login page there then there is an issue with the RFC connection. also check if any other system is using the same RFC.. we had a situation where th R/3 connection was being used by 3 BI instances and everytime we reset the password , another system would lock the sme , ultimately we identified the systems and did a password reset in all the systems and then the issue got resolved.
but then we also faced the same issue you faced and it was related to login issues - check the remote login and that will tell you.

Reg: Error in scheduling of production order

I have an issue during creation of production order. During production order creation, if i am giving todays date as start data and scheduling type as forwards (1) and executing it, it is showing the following error message and it is automatically taking the start date as 2 days forward date (if i am creating order on 06.02.2012 it is taking 08.02.2012).

Diagnosis
The start date determined in scheduling is in the past.
In customizing, you have defined the number of days that the start date is allowed to be in the past. This number is exceeded.

Dear Krishnachandra,
If my understanding is correct then I guess you are mentioning the start date as a date which is more than 2 days older(more
than 2 days in the past) and so the system is automatically switching over to today's scheduling as you might have mentioned
in OPU3 the number of days allowed in past as 2.
Check if this setting is defined as I have mentioned,if so means tiher you can only mention a date within the allowed range or
else use today's date and carryout a forward scheduling.
Check and revert back.
