Bypass lock screen by asking Siri a question

Just found out you can bypass the lock screen on my 6 plus by telling Siri to "wake me up when my phone is charged" then when she asks what time? Reply with "when my phone is charged".. Unlocks and full access to my phone.

Does this work for anyone else?!

Provide the computer's firmware password. If you don't know what it is, contact the person you got the computer from or Apple.

I found that the only time Siri will read anything to you is if it finds a Wikipedia article. Siri will let you know it found that, and ask if you want it to be read out loud. Other than that you will hear the "I found this, take a look".
The only other thing you can do is activate "Speak Screen". It will involve you taking a look at your phone for a moment, selecting what you'd like to look at, but Siri will read the content to you. It's in Settings > General > Accessibility.  Once activated, all you have to do is slide two fingers from the top of the screen and you will have it read to you. I use it all the time because of my astigmatism. It's pretty useful.

Yes... a search of the forums would have prevented asking that question.

  • Another bypass lock screen via siri

Okay Apple !!! If you are concerned about security of secured information and provide update after bypass of lockscreen, there is another simple bypass for contact which is really annoying. to make myself clear if I lost my device and i ask siri.. "Who Am I?".. it provides my contact card with all my personal information number, relation without entering my passcode lock....

I have the same issue with the new model 5s. I don't understand why touchID is not used to activate Siri in the lock screen. Also, saying that Siri can be disable form the lock screen, is NOT a solution.  Siri already asks you for a pasword if you want to read a txt or an emails, so why doesn't "she" asks you for a password when you ask for your address, your brother's address, to make a phone call or start facetime with someone. I hope this gets fixed soon.

  • Sometimes ill ask siri a question and try to ask another and the speaker button only beeps once and stops? Help Please

I asked siri my name and it says it but when i try to ask another question the speaker button just rings and thats it

After Siri answers your question you have to tap the microphone image on the device screen to reactive Siri and ask a different question.
    Hope that helps

  • Bypass Lock Screen PIN

    Hey there,
I was trying to unlock my iphone and ran across something. I wanted to see if others are able to do this too.
With your phone locked, with a PIN enabled, are you able to bypass your PIN number by just preseing the lock button and then the home button?
It seems to work everytime on my phone with 8.1.2.
    Anyone??

I have a 6PLUS with Touch ID enabled.
It happens when you press the lock button and then the home button. Not just touching the home button like when you use the Touch ID.
    Funkyyyy...

  • What happen next, after erase and lock screen of macbook pro?

Hi, I just lost my macbook pro and I have some personal data on it. I read some articles who said that Erase mac will delete whole data. When I erased my Macbook pro from Web Interface https://www.icloud.com it ask me to enter 6 digits passcode I entered and It also lock my Macbook pro which I wasn't select explicitly. Now its showing me status "Pending: Erase Mac" and both Erase mac and lock in disable mode.I also checked option "Notify me when found". Now my questions are these.
If user connect to internet, it will erase my whole data and lock the screen, isn't it?
If user connect to internet, It will notify me?
I read somewhere that by choosing erase mac option I am no longer to track my mac, isn't it?
I also read somewhere that by locking screen it ask 4 digits passcode, then why its asked me for 6 digits?
Please let me know about these question's answers. This will be great for me. Thanks.

4 digits is for mobile devices.

  • What is the bypass code for lock screen

what is the bypass code for the lock screen on i pod touch

To restore the iPod to get rid of the lock combination you forgot, just follow these steps....
    1) Plug your iPod into the PC
    2) Wait for iTunes to sync your device like normal and let it back up all of your stuff, since restoring deletes all of your data
    3) Go onto your iPod's menu (The one that shows the memory bar at the bottom)
    4) Locate the Restore button on the screen and click restore
    5) If your not on iOS 5.0.1 yet, it will ask you to download the latest firmware, go ahead download it
    6) When it is done downloading it will take you through the restoration process.
    7) When it asks you if you want to restore it from a backup or set up as new when everything is finished, make sure you select "Back up as new"!!!
    8) Re-Sync your music, apps, photos, mail, contacts, etc. and anything you had before, and you device is just like new.

  • Is there a Siri command to get to the home screen from the lock screen?

Here is the situation - an elderly friend of mine (94 years old) was in a panic because there were text messages on the lock screen and try as he might he could not "slide to open."
    He has no passcode set.
Anyway, I had him try this and it worked:
    1. Use Siri to "open calendar."
    2. After it opened, press the Home button to get to the home screen.
That way he was able to get in.
Is there a Siri command to go directly to the Home Screen from the lock screen? I tried various things I could think of, but couldn't figure out anything that worked.
What would be best is being able to bypass the lock screen altogether. I have another elderly friend who is blind and it is a source of constant confusion for him.
As for voiceover - he is finding it impossible to figure out. I can see, and I am also finding it impossible to figure out. We tried to use it to get into the TED app and select, play and stop videos and all sorts of weird UI elements starting popping up and it was frustrating him so we turned voiceover off. But that's for another discussion thread.
In the meantime, is there an easy way to get home if somebody is having trouble sliding?
    Thanks,
    doug

Yes, that can sometimes be true.
Unless your older but sighted friend has difficulty with fine motor movements, I suspect that the slide to open is a matter of practice. If you can convice your friend that they are capable of learning it and get them to work with it a bit that might help. I've found that older learners can become frustrated very quickly with technology. They either have themselves convinced they can't learn technolgy or that get annoyed because iPhones are supposed to be "intuative". The challenge is getting them to feel okay about being a beginner at something.
You're a good friend to take on this teaching task.
    Best of luck.

  • IOS 7 Lock Screen Bypass Workaround

It was brought to my attention by one of my co-workers that the launch day (9/18/2013) version iOS 7 contains a vulnerability that could allow an unauthorized user to bypass the device's lock screen to send out pictures.  Even if lock screen access for Control Center was disabled, it was reported that Siri could be used to access the Timer app and complete the bypass.  In order to prevent this bypass from being performed on company-owned Apple mobile devices, we created a quick workaround procedure:
For Control Center:  Perform the following steps to disable Control Center from the Lock Screen:
    Press the "Settings" icon.
    Select"Control Center".
Swipe the toggle for "Access on Lock Screen" so that it no longer green.
For Siri:  Perform the following steps to disable Siri from the Lock Screen:
    Press the "Settings" icon.
    Select"General" then "Passcode Lock".
    Enter your passcode
In the "Allow Access When Locked" section, swipe the toggle for "Siri" so that it no longer green .
Your device is now secured from unauthorized users leveraging the launch day iOS 7 bypass vulnerability.  Once Apple fixes the vulnerability, you can again turn on Siri and Control Center at the lock screen.

Guys chill, the solution is simple-try it and let me know:
Go to: Settings > General > Accessibility > Accessibility Shortcut > (then tick Invert Colors)
This will access the "Invert Colors" shortcut when you press the home button 3 times - and it will prevent the multitasking while locked option from coming, hence your phone won't be hacked and your photos are safe
Let me know if it works for you!
    Cheers
