C API version required for LabVIEW FPGA 2011

What is the verison of the C API that will work with LabVIEW FPGA 2011?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

I would guess this one: http://www.ni.com/download/fpga-interface-c-api-2.0/2616/en/
The version numbers appear to start with years in 2012.  This is the highest version I could find before 2012 and it was released in August of 2011.  That time coincides with the annual NI Week festivities where a large portion of the software/hardware is released.  It's a small download so it shouldn't be difficult to download and try it out.
But, you'll still need LabVIEW for FPGA development according to this white paper: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/9036/en/

    Hello,
I'm looking for Spartan-3E driver for Windows 7 LabVIEW FPGA 2011.
    Thank you

Thank you for all the helps. I do appreciate that.
By the way, I'm wondering the latest driver on NI is used for Labview FPGA 2012 or 2012sp1?
Just in case our department would purchase the latest version of Labivew in the near future.
Thank you again and have a nice day.

  • Xilinx version availability for labview fpga compile

While trying to compile a Labview vi for target NI PXI 7831R, at first I didn't have
any Xilinx compile so I asked my network guy to instal it.  Now it complains
that it needs 10.1 when 11.5 is available.  I asked him to install the 10.1 and
he did but it isn't available to the NI FPGA compile worker.  How do I solve
    this?
    thanks

    Hi DonQuixote,
You are correct in that the PXI 7831R requires Xilinx Compile Tools 10.1.  This is because this card has a Vertex II chip.  You can read more about Xilinx requirements here: http://ae.natinst.com/public.nsf/webPreview/A4B20D58C051DFB386257A56007BB0B2?OpenDocument .
Have you uninstalled version 11.5?  What version of LabVIEW do you have?  Are you recieving an error or some other message?  If so, please post a screenshot.
    Thanks!

  • DCT for Labview fpga

    Hi,
I have problems based on dct for labview fpga. I get the project example from this link https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-8202. I run the project in labview and its run succesfully. After that, I try to use a different vhdl code for the CLIP (in labview) that I get from open cores (http://opencores.org/project,dct_idct). I rewrite the fpga.vi by inserting a new vhdl code in the CLIP. When I run the project, there are no errors. However, the compressed image is not display. I check the output values from the Read from FPGA block at the host.vi and it shows zero values at all time. I try to debug, but still don't get the solution. Anyone expert please help me. Thanks in advance.

    Hey Troy,
Have a look at the attached front panel design that will be compatible in FPGA.
    Hopefully it helps!!

  • Minimum computer system requirements for LabVIEW 7.1

What are the minimum computer system requirements for LabVIEW 7.1?  I have a PC with the following specifications:  1.7 GHz Pentium-4, 512 MB RAM, and a 60 GB hard drive running Windows ME.  I tried installing LabVIEW on the system but kept getting the "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for this product" message.  What's the problem here?
    Thank you.

    Hi Enhan,
You're problem may be related to the OS "Win-ME".
Your system appears fine, if there is room available on the HD.

  • Windows 2000 requirements for LabVIEW 8.5.1 & DAQmx 8.7.1

    Greetings,
I've been looking around for a detailed set of requirements for LabVIEW 8.5.1 and DAQmx 8.7.1 for the Windows 2000 platform.
So far I know I'll need Service Pack 4 and probably Explorer 6 and .Net 2   But I can't find confirmation on the last two things, and I'm not sure if there are any more.
Does anyone have a link to this information on  ni.com?
    Thanks.
    Patrick Allen

    Thanks for the reply Denis,
I'd found both of those previously actually.  But I wasn't sure they were "complete".
I can't say 100%,  But I'm pretty sure I had to install .Net 2 on a system once before for DAQmx.  (Or maybe there was a warning...or something)
Just thought I'd try and find out as much as I could before I go and do a remote upgrade where I won't have any Internet access.

  • Licensing requirements for running SBS 2011 in Hyper-V

I am currently running SBS 2011 that is natively installed on a Dell PowerEdge server. The plan is to add some RAM and then convert the system to a Hyper-V server that would run the SBS operating system as a VM. From a licensing standpoint, I realize I will
need to purchase a copy of Server 2012 R2 Standard in order to run Hyper-V on the server. I believe I would also be licensed to run the SBS operating system as one of the two licensed VMs.
My question is what is the requirement as far as user CALs is concerned? Seeing as my users will continue to access the SBS server, they will never access the Server 2012 box directly. The only purpose for Server 2012 is to provide the Hyper-V host. So am
I bound by the user licensing of the SBS server, or am I required to also purchase user CALs for the Server 2012 platform?
Thanks for any insight on this question...

It is always best to talk with a trained Microsoft licensing specialist when asking about licensing questions.  A license is a legal agreement between you and the license issuer.  Relying on information from a technical forum on the internet would
not stand up in a court of law, and your auditors would not like that.
That said, a Windows Server CAL - Client Access License - covers access to Window Server(s).  Whether you have 1 or 100 Windows Server, the client access license grants the right to access the services.  Yes, they are operating system version specific,
but if you are running only the Hyper-V role in the host installation, no CALs are required for the host.  If you are running other services that the clients are accessing, then you would need to purchase the 2012 CALs.  Again - check with a trained
    Microsoft licensing specialist.

  • JRE version requirement for browser based Webtop connections ?

I've been looking but I can't see a documented require version number for JRE for SGD browser webtop connections.
Can anyone point me in the direction of something that says 'must use JRE 1.5 or higher' or something like that ?

This is covered in the Release Notes for each version. e.g.

  • DB version required for Content DB install on windows 2000/2003

    Hello,
I looked at the certification matrix for content db and regarding the database it looks strange :
o Oracle RDBMS 11.1.0.6.0 (or higher) (see Note#1)
o Oracle RDBMS 10.2.0.2 (or higher)
o Oracle RDBMS 10.1.0.5 (or higher)
I don't know what version should I download in order to install on windows 2000/2003.
the single version available for windows (with the required version number) on the download page of the database is
"Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.3) for Microsoft Windows Vista"
which is built especially for Vista. or is it ok to use it for 2000/2003 ?
for example in 10g release 1 I don't see any version >= 10.1.0.5. the greatest is 10.1.0.3. is it normal ? or do I misunderstood something ?
    thanks,
    Florin

We had a similar problem when trying to pre-install the JRE, then run a web page with an applet in it. Apparently there is a bug in the JRE installer (1.3.1_01) that puts extraneous values into the registry (it's in the bug database somewhere). As a work-around, you can delete those values out of the registry. I had to do this in our installer with a simple C++ program.
    Delete the INF values under:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Code Store Database\Distribution Units\{8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93}\DownloadInformation
    and
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Code Store Database\Distribution Units\{CAFEEFAC-0013-0001-0001-ABCDEFFEDCBA}\DownloadInformation
('0013-0001-0001' <==> JRE 1.3.1_01. Replace with your version)
    Hope this helps!

  • Versions required for LO / BOE?

    Hi,
We have an Xcelcius dashboard created with version 2008 SP1 FP2 (12.0.1.2 ?).
The data is sourced using Live-Office XI 3.1 (12.1.0.882) from a BOE Webi report.
Our BOE app is XI 3.1 (12.1.0.882) with SAP integration kit XI (12.1.0.890).
I recently updated only my local Xcelsius to SP3, and was able to load the original xlf file (saving as a new copy in the updated SP3 format) and export a swf file.  However, when I try to either preview or open the swf, the file hangs at the components stage.
Is there a requirement for Xcelsius to be at a given SP to work with the other BO apps (BOE / LO / SAP IK)?
Are there any other tips when migrating xlf's from SP1 to SP3?
    Thanks!
    Darryl

    Hi Srinivas,
Thanks for the info.  one more question - I only see one version of LCM, so I imagine it is not tied to any SP level of our Enterprise installation?  We are currently on 3.1 (12.1.0.882) but looking to install SP3 soon..
    Thanks!
    Darryl
