C:\fakepath\ message when trying to upload
I am trying to apply for a job on a government website. I keep receiving" C:\fakepath\ " when trying to upload my cover letter. HELP?!
Bob - I'm basing this answer on my epub, not my iAuthor experience. When I get an odd error message like that, it usually means I have a graphic lingering about that is not not actually used. Here's how I would go about locating it in iBooks Author: First I would turn on Show Layout Boundaries and Show Invisibles in the View menu. Then starting at the beginning, I would go page by page – clicking on the page – and doing a Select All (Command-A). If an unused item appears, I would delete it. Then when you are satisfied, re-upload the file.
As I say, this is speculation based on my epub experience, so take it for what you think it's worth. Cheers. - Fabe

While uploading to ftp if you are putting a '/' in the root directory, then please remove it and try again.

Why do I get "generic error" message when trying to upload a self-created, 1hr .wmv file?
I went through the forums and made sure that any blocks or copywrites weren't triggered by the file, it's clean and can be opened using a media player and other video editing software like windows MovieMaker. I keep getting "The importer reported a generic error" message and have no idea how to proceed. Can someone please help?

This ARTICLE starts with a checklist on setting up a computer to run PrE best, then goes into a series of links for tuning up one's computer and OS, and then links on troubleshooting.
There is also a link on posting all necessary info, to help others help you.
Without knowing much more about your system, it is impossible to say much beyond that WMV's are tough assests to work with, requiring a lot of CPU horsepower.

Do you mean trying to purchase an iPhoto book? Try rebooting and ordering again. If that fails Boot into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, and try ordering from there.

Error message when trying to upload a pdf file to a form
A user was trying to upload a pdf file to a form I created (Contractor Vanpool Application Form). The parameters I set, was that it had to be a pdf form, less than 20MB and a single file. She met these parameters, but when she hit the submit button, she received this dialogue box message: Warning: JavaScript Window - File Attachments are not supported in FormsCentral PDF forms. Please contact the form author to send the file attachments another way. This dialogue box prevented her from even getting as far as selecting the file and uploading. Another user was succesfully able to upload a form, so I know this is working. So I changed the parameters to allow multiple files in any format, and she still had a problem.
She states is using windows 95, Internet Explorer. Help, MichelleIn Form Central, when I add a field, I select the Add File Attachment icon (see screen shot below - it is the 10th icon from the left, the paperclip over a sheet):
Then it allows me to fill in the field, describing the file to upload, and the properties to the right defining the file size limit, type of file and other properties. This is all done through formscentral, thus allowing a user in my form to upload a file that is attached to the form when submitted. -

Error message when trying to upload
Hi all,
I have had my Zen Vision M (60 Gigs) for about two years now. I've never had any serious problems until lately. It hooks up to my computer (I am running Windows XP) just fine, and can hold a charge, but whenever I try and put new music on it the dialog box gives me a message saying the current file is not found. I have tried uploading music from both my external harddri've and from my C drive but I get the same message every time. I can still play files off my external HD, so I don't think that is the problem. Has anyone else experienced this?
Also, on a side note, the player has been starting to lag as of late. For example, when I put the player on "shuffle all" and hit next it takes a few seconds instead of just going to the next song straight away.
Thanks for your help!i don't know if it's just me but i have observed that when Zen reaches this point in its life, it starts to experience problems like these. well, i only concluded that based from what i have read in these forums.

Corrupt files message when trying to upload a song from iTunes
Hello can anyone help me out with this problem. I choose a song to purchase, I put my password in....and the uploading begins. It goes almost completely then it stops, saying that I have a problem downloading the file...something about the song being corrupt. (the error code - (100008).
This problem started awhile back off & on, and now it seems that it is constant. HELP!

Please see Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications. PDF Maker included with Acrobat 8 isn't compatible with Office 2013. I'm curious how you were creating PDF files form Excel 2013 previously.

Anyone know how to resolve this? I have already repaired the iPhoto permissions and rebuilt the library but neither of these solved my issue. I am using iPhoto '11 on a MacBook Pro.

Writings, produced by me and some collegues are to be uploaded to some site. This writings are PDF files. When trying to upload an error message apperars, telling this file is NOT an PDF file. In Google Chrome and Opera there is no problem.

Zou is correct, LabVIEW supports all GIF bit depth images 24bit and below.
Thank you for forwarding the GIF images, I also experienced the same error when trying to import the "logo.gif" image in LabVIEW however I was able to import the image when I opened it in Microsoft Paint and resaved it as a new GIF.
This suggests there is a corruption in the original GIF file generated on the web, for example a "terminiating block" may be missing at the end of the GIF file. LabVIEW is not forgiving of GIF images that do not meet the GIF specification whereas other Windows editors may be, it seems that opening and resaving the GIF file in Microsoft Paint added the missing characters thus allowing for the file to be imported into LabVIEW.
I have attached the working GIF image to this post.

I continue to get an error 37 message when trying to restore my iphone 3GS which crashed after trying to upload the last update. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have exactly the same issue as described above : I installed the update 5.1.1 on my iphone 3GS and since then, I can not turn it on anymore. In Itunes, I get an error 37 when I am doing a restauration and it stops.
This error has nothing to do with firewall : I tried to restore the phone on several computers, including in an Apple reseller and it did not work anywhere.
I spent several hours on phone with the hotline from Apple which arrived to the conclusion that it is a hardware issue, but the phone was working perfectly fine until I installed this update! -

When trying to upload photos to various websites, Firefox brings up the pop up to view and select locations on your computer, but it never fully loads, it just kinda freezes, never allowing you to select files. I eventually get a 'This program is not responding' message and have to force close.
Second times a charm!!!
Maybe the link I had 1st time had a bug or something... I had installed it, restarted computer and all, exactly same process... and it had done nothing.
But download page wasn't the same. Real weird.
Good thing is, now it works!
So to anyone who has had same problem, tried the "patch download" solution and didn't have any success (like me previously - which is why I posted)... TRY AGAIN! The link above works!
