C'mon--how do I get around NOT printing from Firefox!!

I feel like an idiot. I order and receive my brand new Photosmart Premium C309g one week ago, thinking I got a great new printer...only to find out I can't print a thing from Firefox, which I exclusively use.
You've got to be kidding. I've been able to print off Firefox from my 7 year old HP. So why oh why does a brand new one stop that?
So tell me, how do I disable that problem??? Or, am I forced to return this white elephant?

That is what I ended up doing.  It was a chore but it worked.
Cheers!

Open the Sharing pane in System Preferences. If the Computer Name is not set, enter a name. You may first have to click the lock icon in the lower left corner and authenticate to unlock the settings.

  • I can not print from Firefox, Firefox is not responding

I can not print from Firefox on one PC in my office. At one time printing was operable from Firefox on this PC, the user told me about one month ago Firefox would no longer print.
I went to the users PC - Windows XP Professional SP3 - Firefox opens no problem, I can go to any website, but when I click on the print icon, or file, print, nothing happens. I do not see the print icon in the task bar which shows you something is spooling, printing, I open Task Manager and I see Firefox is Not responding. I must end task.
We can print anything else on the PC, Internet Explorer 8 prints successfully, just Firefox will not print.
I also uninstalled the network printer, re-installed. Connected to another network printer, Firefox still will not print.
I also uninstalled the latest version of Firefox on the PC 15.0.1, went back a few versions and Firefox still will not print.
Can someone assist why Firefox refuses to print and when you try to print Firefox goes to a Not responding status ?
    Thanks,
    Bob

  • How do I get forms to print from the state tax website?

I upgraded my Firefox this morning. My forms do not print from the state reporting pages that I use on a daily basis. What changed?

hello, when printed pdf files come out blank from your printer, this is currently a bug in the integrated firefox pdf viewer that is investigated by our developers. in the meantime you could use a third-party pdf plugin like from adobe that you can enable in the firefox ''options > applications'' - scroll down and define the default action for the '''portable document format (pdf)'''.

  • Can not print from Firefox/Linux

Is there anything I can do to get a flash movie to print from
Firefox or some other browser running under Linux?
I created a program in flash that uses both flash and php to
access MySql but when the data is displayed in the movie, it can
not be printed. Tried the browser print button, flash menu and
action script to print but only get blank page.
    Any Ideas?
Linux Fedora Core 4, Fedora Core 5, Red Hat Enterprise Linux
ES 4 - Tried Netscape and Firefox.
I have not tried a different distro, could this be a RH
    problem?

on peopletools 8.44 firefox is not a certified platform. from peopletools 8.48 they started certifying firefox and safari.
please look into My oracle support for a list of certified browsers and platforms on Peopletools 8.44 release.
please try to use IE as a default browser.

  • How can I get music (not purchased from iTunes) and photos from my iPad onto my MacBook?

I just recently had my hard drive replaced and lost all of my music and photos from it. I have all of my music and photos backed up onto my iPad and iPhone via iCloud.
I was able to download all of my purchased music from iTunes, back onto my MacBook. The problem is, how do I get the other music and photos from my iPad, back onto my MacBook?

Is there any possible way to backup music that I did not purchase from iTunes on to iCloud?
    No.
... if I happened to break my iPad, or if something happened to my Laptop.
If you like your music library, back up your laptop.
If you lose or break your iPad, you can sync your iTunes music library to a brand new one. You will lose nothing.
If you lose your laptop, or it crashes, or becomes virus-infested, you can restore your iTunes music library from your backup. You will lose nothing. Without a backup though, your music resides only on the iPad, and extracting it will require the assistance of third party (paid) utilities. Worse, there is no guarantee they will continue to function after some future iOS upgrade, since the iPad is not designed to work that way.
There are dozens of questions every day from people who lost their iTunes music when their laptop crashed. Your laptop will crash - it's only a question of when.

  • I can not print from Firefox, but can from all other browsers and applications (such as MS Word, notepad, etc.). I get a print error on the printing monitor like it's a spooling problem.

This is a recent development but I can not print anything from within Firefox. The print functions open normally, it is going to the correct printer which works..I can print from other browsers and applications. It acts like it is spooling and then a print error occurs and it won't print. I closed and reopened Firefox, opened it in safe mode, cleaned out history/cache/cookies, and rebooted twice. Nothing makes any difference. Also tried printing from the print preview which had the same result. I can print from all other browsers and applications without a problem so it must be within Firefox.

  • HP 309c wireless printer. How do I get it to print from the web?

I have two wireless laptops. The older one prints perfectly. The new one prints from Word and pdf files. When I attempt to print from the web, the ink mechanism in the printer goes back and forth inside sounds like it is producing a document, however, when the paper comes to the tray, there is nothing but a blank sheet of paper. I have unplugged everything, reinstalled the printer, cleaned the rollers and it still continues to produce a blank sheet of paper. Any suggestions?

Since the printer can produce good prints using certain PCs and software, it is not a printer problem.  It is likely a software problem.
What operating system are you using?  Are you using Internet Explorer 8 as your browser?  Do you have HP WebPrint installed?

  • How can I get around not having 10.5 to sync to my iPhone?

I am not able to install the upgrade of iTunes because I am still using OS X 9.2.11.  Is there any way around this without upgrading my OSX software so I can sync my iPhone to iTunes?
    Thanks.

Eventually, I will upgrade, but first I have to figure out if the programs I use on a daily basis need to be upgraded as well.  I'm just looking for a quick fix until I look into the compatibility of these programs:
    Quark 7.31
    Acrobat Profession 8.2.6
    Adobe Suite CS3 Extended
    Photoshop 10.0.1
    Indesign 5.0.4
    Illustrator 13.0.2
    MicroSoft Office 2004

Obsolete? Maybe to you, but to the other 97% of internet connected devices it is far from obsolete.
Why would such a HUGE well known entity known as J.K. Rowling in cooperation with another MASSIVE company called SONY use such obsolete technology on a brand new website?

Why would another company named PANDORA re-do their entire site in HTML5 but then leave all the actual playing of sounds to something that's obsolete?

Maybe the truth is that the web without Flash is obsolete.

  • How do I get my notes back from iCloud?

I had iOS 5 installed, after doing some stuff I didn't plan on keeping I restored the phone again to fresh iOS 5. I had set up iCloud etc to sync my notes.
When I reinstalled, I set up iCloud again, but of couse did not want to restore from backup (I want to start fresh). Now the photostream etc synced fine, but my notes is still empty. Anyone know why they are not syncing like photos etc?

I restored from my backup and checked stuff out. Turns out the iCloud does not sync ANY existing notes. If you check in your notes accounts, 'on my phone' will have all your notes, 'iCloud' will have none. If you setup iCloud and set it to be your default notes account, then new notes will be synced to iCloud, but existing notes won't.
So just something to watch out for.

  • How do I get ipad2 to print from my hp photos art c4700?

Do I need an app to connect to wireless printer?

Is your printer an Airprint enabled printer, ie., does it support e-Print?  If it does, you might need to upated the software on your printer.  If it does not, you can buy an app from the App Store, such as Print Central or Printopia.  Both are about $9 in the App Store.  I personally like Print Central, but many others like Printopia.

  • How can I get "smart Web Printing" off Firefox - since it doesn't work here??

When will HP recognize that Firefox is used by a lot of customers??

    Hi,
If you don't have the Menu Bar displayed, right click just above the address bar and place a tick against Menu Bar.  Now click Tools, click Add-ons,click the Extensions tab, left click Smart Web Printing once to highlight it and then click the Uninstall option.  When done, restart Firefox.
