C++ Parser Error Messages

Further to the various postings on getting the Oracle C++ and C
XML parser to return a valid error message string and not:
ErrCode: 204 ErrMsg: <17,22> LPX-00204: Message 204 not found; No
message.
It appears that the C and C++ parsers needs to have Win NT
installed with regional settings set to English (US).
(see control panel -> Regional Settings -> regional settings tab)
In the tests that I have done it does not work for any other
English/European settings (English (UK), English (SA), Spanish,
etc.)
Will a fix be provided for this problem, as the software that I
am currently involved in developing will be rolled out in Europe

This appears to be a wrong diagnosis. We tried resetting the
regional settings to UK English, Spanish, and Lithuanian and
the message file was found correctly each time if the environment
variable was set. Plus, we had our internationaization team
examine the code and they said that "American" would be used as
the default language in this code and NT regional settings would
not impact that.

See error below. At the very end i have the gacutil output. Also, the same dll's work on a 32 bit windows 7 system. I've also tried to load the beta version of the odac 64 bit
but it it gets a "java stopped working error"

Please firstly make sure you installed SharePoint Foundation 2010 with SP2 in a Windows Server 2012 R2. Since only SP2 slipstream installations are supported on Windows Server 2012 R2

Parser Error Message: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.

I've copied a .NET application from an older 2008 server running IIS 7.0.600.16386 to a newer 2008 R2 server running 7.5.7600.16385. The .NET framework version is 4.0.30319. I've setup an application pool and copied the wwwroot directory.
I've checked for nested web.config files and I've been reading a lot about converting the site to an application. The older server running the application is still up and running and the configurations look identical. If I convert the site to an
application the icon changes and doesn't look like it does on the old server. I'm new and still learning the basics of programming and publishing applications. Can someone point me in the right direction? I've been on google for a few days
to no avail. Thanks.

Yes on both of your questions. This is why I am confused as to why this is happening and the really strange this it happens maybe 2 times out of 10 (give or take).

Are you testing on the server or locally. If the latter is
true make sure
that a copy of the controls is in a bin folder at the
C:\inetpub\wwwroot
level.

How to select a locale for parser error messages

Does anybody know how I can select a locale for parser error messages? I found org.xml.sax.Parser.setLocale, but that's for SAX1 and deprecated.
I have a textarea in the user interface where a user can edit XML and, of course, I'd like the parsing error messages to appear in the selected locale...

Yes, but doing this you changed the locale for the JVM! I know that. My intention was to see whether the parsers even had error messages in languages other than English. If they didn't then there would be no point in proceeding. But they do, so maybe there is some point.
However you don't get to specify the locale for exceptions thrown by other Java classes, so I wouldn't be surprised to find you don't get to specify the locale for exceptions thrown by XML parsers. I'm not saying there is no way to do that, only that I would not be surprised if there were no way.

Problem when adding ascx user control in the MasterPage: Parser Error Message: The referenced file ... is not allowed on this page.

I have to maintain a SharePoint 2010 project, in which a TopNavigation User Control for SiteCollection is registered in the MasterPage in this way:

When I deploy the SiteCollection, the TopNavigation user control is working correctly. Unfortunately when i modify the masterpage over SharePoint Designer, the following error message comes allways, regardless of the art of changes i did in the MAsterPage
( even if I open the MasterPage, add an space and do save/close the MasterPage).
"Problem when adding user control in my custom master page, Parser Error Message: The referenced file '/_layouts/Navigation/TopNavigation.ascx' is not allowed on this page."

When we use UserControl in SharePoint Page or MasterPage, and the UserControl is kept in any folder other than ControlTemplates, we will got the error. Here is an article about this issue and provided the solution:

I am recieving an xml parsing error message on a website I use for work. It used to work on firefox but now it has stopped. It works with other browsers though.

Urgent help needed please, with parse error message

Hi. I've got a page which comes at the end of a 3 page sequence - search, results, detail. The detail page had been working fine, but yesterday I added a second recordset to the page, to pull reviews from a separate table, and now I'm getting the following error:

Look how many times the same code is repeated. What's causing the problem are the three final sections where there is no argument passed to isset().

EMOD - Parse error while using merge fields

Hello Everyone,
We are using EMOD for email campaigns. We have renamed "Contact" object to "Rep Contact". When I insert merge fields on Rep Contact object, I get parse error message...
Parse error in file at line 40: Could not find matching '}' for reference to variable at line 39
Has anyone else come across this? Are there any restrictions in EMOD for using merge fields?

Parse error does not return ORA error

I had a query for a chart that would not parse and did not return an ORA- error to help me find the problem. After some trial and error I was able to identify the source of the error. I was passing a string to the TRUNC function and not a date. I would expect to receive and ORA-1722 with the parse error message but did not. This looks like a small bug to me. If not can someone explain why I would not get an ORA error with this?

What version of HTML DB? 1.5, but I just upgraded to 1.6, have not tested there yet.

What is the exact error you saw? Unable to parse query (OK maybe this is not exact but it defintly did not display and ORA error).
Shouldn't the "val" value be numeric?That was just an example, a bad example aparently.
