C/T differences caused by BS items w/o Mov.types

Hello,
How should the currency translation method be defined in order to expose translation differences from BS items like accounts receivable (w/o movement types) caused both by OB and by fluctuations of exchange rate in a period?
Here is an example.
Closing balance as per 31/12/08 in LC.....80.000
Closing balance as per 31/01/09 in LC.....95.000
Exchange rates:
31/12/08............4.0
31/01/09............4.2
average 1/09......4.1
Translation diff. from OB.............................. -952
Translation diff. from changes of a period........ -87 (changes in period, diff. between Average and Current rate)
Total impact on Translation Adjustment......-1.039
Value in BS............................................ 22.619
BW based (BI7 with BCS 6.0). I will really appreciate your help!

Not exactly so. The C/T difference should appear when different items are translated at the different rate types or rates themselves.
I assume that the average rate is your reference rate? Then, for example, if all your B/S items are translated absolutely equally, then the CTD shouldn't occur at all, even if the specific rate and the reference rate are different:

  • Accounting entry line item after 561 movement type

    Hi,
I have create initial stock uplaod with MB1C with movement type 561, for 4 materials after post of document it is posted properly with proper amount but when I check the accounting entry  it shows me in the amount in two diffrent  debit and credits even the valuation class of all the 4 material is same.
Debit material account, addition of amount of three materials
credit initial stock account, addition of amount of three materials
debit material account of 4th item
credit initial stock uplaod as per amount of 4th item,
I want to know why in first entry systen added 3 material amount in one and in second entry amount of only 4th item, when I check the entry in table  BSEG ,the second entry is posted along with business area 0001 where as for the first entry the business are field in the table is blank  even the business area is set the company code and plant level, and only single business area we are using in the system.
    regards,
    zafar

As you mentioned you have a separate business area this is the reason for posting the entries separately. This is the same case with profit center also (if different PC's are maintained for different material). Also system will proportionately calculate the other expenses (if any) and post in a separate line items in accounting document.

  • Schedule Line Category F1 Item Category TAN Movement type 632 Customer Pick

    Hello SAP guru's !
I have a question regarding MM/SD/QM integration. We are running SAP ECC6 latest support pack level.
    Scenario:
We process Consignment Fill Up and C. Issue (631/633) movement type respectively on a regular basis.
Our Customer has found stock that we have provided to them as Un-usable. We would like to Process Consignment Pick Up to return the materials to our our stock via Delivery with Schedule line category F1 and item category TAN using movement type 632.
Current process works well, but we would like to have the 632 movement type post stock into "Quality inspection" via inspection lot type 05 for example.
We cannot find where in SD/MM/ or QM to make the settings to link such a process.
All help is greatly appretiated !
    Thank you, Dave

    Dear Dave
Go to material master, select Quality Management view and click on Insp.setup.  You will see a screen with various selection options.  Press F5 and maintain 06 on top under the tab [InspType]  and save.
Now try to do PGR so that the stock would be blocked for quality clearance.
Alternatively, you can also maintain the movement type 655 to your schedule line category F1 in VOV6.
    thanks

  • Difference caused by 2KES

    the difference caused by 2KES
Posted: Mar 6, 2009 6:53 AM     Edit          Reply
    Dear ALL:
I found a problem when we carry forward the retained earning account ( 140010)'s value from 2008 year to the 2009 year using tcode 2KES ( profit center accounting carry forward). From FS10N, the accumulative balance of account 140010 in 2008 is "-226808.63", but after execute the 2KES, i found the table GLPCT , the account's balance is "-234596.62", there are difference of "-7787.99"
so i want to consult that
1 why these difference will occur
2 i found the "-7787.99" is conposed from two entries in GLPCT,period is 16 in year 2008,record type is 0,version 0, the activity type is PRC5. It has profit centre, gl account, company code information, however, I am not able to trace it back to any line items documents in any module nor in GLPCA or GLPCP. also i tried to display it in 9KE9, or in the SPL modules, but i can't, now i want to solve this difference, the problem is that if i use the 9KE0, it will update the table GlPCA, and then influence the report designed in the report paiter, if i didn't adjust, the S_ALR_87013336 report's value will not be reconcile with the FS10N.so could you tell me how to adjust this difference except using the 9KE0
    Your help will be appreciated

    Hello siren,
you wrote that the difference is caused by postings in 2008 with activity PRC5. PRC5 postings are caused by manual postings with trx. 9KE0 or trx. 1KEL. The manual postings in PCA with these transactions do not reflect to the FI/CO application and therefore of course you have a difference between FI and PCA. When you want to get rid of the difference the only option is to do a manual posting again in 2008 and re-run trx. 2KES to transfer the balance.
Furthermore this posting is not consequently posted to period 16. You have checked table GLPCT and in this table EVERY data record gets the RPMAX value 16, which represents the maximum number of periods which are possible in PCA. To find out in which period the manual posting was done, you have to check the TSL/HSL/KSL fields. You have 16 TSL/HSL/KSL fields - one field per period. When e.g. TSL09/HSL09/KSL09 is filled for this record, the manual posting was done in period 9. (TSL fields are only filled, when you have activated the flag "Store Transaction Currency" in trx. 0KE5 (starting with ZERO)).
    Hope this information helps.
    Best regards,
    Daniela

  • Difference between header and item movement types in MIGO

    Dear all,
what is the difference between movement type entered in header of MIGO and item level?
not all movements are possible in header. how it is controlled? may not be in OMJJ
    thanks and regards
    gajanan

    Hi Gajanan,
Movement types in Standard SAP are predefined. You can also create a new movement type, but generally it is not required.
In MIGO ,movement types on right hand side corner changes as per the transaction your are carrying out in header level like
Good reciept, Good issue, , Cancellation, subsequent adjustment, Remove from storage, placer in storage etc.....
As you go for transaction and make allocation in the allocation field, the movement type changes.

  • Rounding Difference unequally distributed in items in J1IS in Vendor Return

    Hi,
In Vendor Return process, while creating excise invoice in J1IS the total value is rounded off.
The system is rounding off and posting the entire difference amount to first line item only. For example, if there are four line items with SECess value 0.2 so that the sum of SECess for all four line items is coming as 0.8 (0.2*4). After posting the transaction, the system is rounding this value 0.8 to 1.0 and posting this difference to first line item only and the value of SECess of the first line item becomes 0.4 (0.2+0.2) and for the remaining 3 line items the value of SECess remains as 0.2 only. Similarly, the same thing is happening with the value of ECess also where the system is again posting the entire difference amount to first line item only.
Is there any method by which the rounding difference can be either posted to a different G/L account or distributed equally to all items of invoice?
Please provide any idea to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance

  • The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information. Outcome: Unknown Error

Received this error (The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information.) recently on a workflow that was
working fine and no changes were made to the workflow.
I have tried a few suggestions, i.e. adding a pause before any ‘Update’ action (which didn’t help because the workflow past this action without incident); checked the data type being written
to the fields (the correct data types are being written); and we even checked the list schema to ensure the list names and the internal names are aligned (they
are), but we still cannot figure out why the workflow is still throwing this error.
We located the area within the workflow step where it is failing and we inserted a logging action to determine if the workflow would execute the logging action but it did not, but wrote the same error message.
The workflow is a Reusable Approval workflow designed in SharePoint Designer 2010 and attached to a content type.
The form associated with the list was modified in InfoPath 2010.
Approvers would provide their approval in the InfoPath form which is then read by the workflow.
Side note - items created after the workflow throws this Unknown Error some seem to be working fine.
We have deleted the item in question and re-added it with no effect.
Based on what we were able to determine there don’t seem to be any consistency with how this issue is behaving.
Any suggestions on how to further investigate this issue in order to find the root cause would be greatly appreciated?
    Cheers

    Hi,
I understand that the reusable workflow doesn’t work properly now. Have you tried to remove the Update list item action to see whether the workflow can run without issue?
If the workflow runs perfectly when the Update list item action is removed, then you need to check whether there are errors in the update action. Check whether the values have been changed.

Our SPF 2010 server is relatively small to many setups I am sure. The list with the issue only has 4456 items and there are a few associated lists, eg lookups, Tasks, etc see below for count.
    Site Lists
Engagements = 4456 (Errors on this list, primary list for activity)
Tasks = 7711  (All workflow tasks from all site lists)
Clients = 4396  (Lookup from Engagements, Tslips, etc)
Workflow History = 584930 (I periodically run a cleanup on this and try to keep it under 400k)
Tslips = 3522 (Engagements list can create items here, but overall not much interaction between lists)
A few other lists that are used by workflows to lookup associations that are fairly static and under 50 items, eg "Parters Admin" used to lookup a partners executive admin to assign a task.

  • Cannot move items. Cannot move or copy folders...

I have the most baffling problem.  This is with any version of Outlook.  I'm logged into a terminal server as the user of this mailbox.  Its inbox has many subfolders.  One is a folder called "2014".  At the same level
is a folder we'll call "Test".  When I drag "Test" onto "2014" I get this entire message:
"Cannot move items.  Cannot move or copy folders.  Cannot move folder.  A top-level folder cannot be moved to one of its sub-folders.  Or, you may not have permissions for the folder."
Here's the thing...  I've given ownership permission to the inbox folder and both subfolders in question.  I still get this error.  There are other people that share this mailbox and I've done the same thing with one of them; owner permission
to all subfolders and full access to the mailbox via exchange.  No matter what permission I give to anyone, including the mailbox owner I'm logged in as, outlook refuses to move the folder.  It's not a case of a top level folder being moved into
one of its subfolders.  The actual owner of the mailbox has ownership permissions to everything yet I still get this error.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
Edit: I can't even create a folder in the inbox.  It just says "Cannot create the folder".  I own everything to do with the folders.

    Hi,
Please first check if you can reproduce this issue from OWA. If it works correctly in OWA, it means the issue is with Outlook side. We can try to create a new mail profile in Control Panel and then reconfigure the account in the new mail profile to see the
    result.
If this issue continues in OWA, it could be caused by a permission synchronization problem. I'd recommend you post a new question in the Exchange forum to get further assistance:

  • Difference between Return Po and Retuning with 122 movement type

    Dear Experts,
i need some clarification on Return Po and retuning goods with 122 movement type in the context of Excise invoice.
in our previous company we used 122 movement we capture excise invoice with J1IS and referring the incoming excise
and return the material to vendor.
in present company we are directly doing return Po and capturing excise invoice with J1is,here we are not capturing against the
    incoming excise,please clarify me.
    Regards,
    Varun

    Hi,
    Refer the below thread:
    Difference between 102, 122 and 161
In terms of stock movement, both 122 and 161 represents the return delivery to your vendor. The difference takes place in terms of how you are returning your delivery to your vendor - It is movement type 161 that SAP will automatically propose if your return PO is referenced. Otherwise, 122 movement type will be used instead.

  • Relation between movement type and Schedule Line Item Cat

I have a situation for Return Sales Order, there's two lines items with
*Item Cat                      Schedule Line Item Cat         Stock
    REN(Normal)                 YN (Returns 657)                 Blocked
RENN (Free Goods)      DN (Returns)                        Return Stock
Question is, the user would like all the return stock to be posted to Block stock which should be using movement type 657. How can I configure this.

    Hello Sarvanand
Assign Sched Line category YN to item category RENN using this path:
    SPRO/IMG/Sales and Distribution/Sales/Schedule Lines/Assign Schedule Line Categories
Don't change movement type of standard Item cat DN.
    Thanks.

Barbara, this may be tied to Strategy Group on the Material Master (I can't read enough into the detail)
Item Category determination + MRP Type for your schedule line type ties to a Sched. Line category(this you know)
New Rqmts class gets tied to a Rqmts Type
New Rqmts Type gets assigned to rqmts class
Strategy, assign the Rqmts Type to it
Strategy Group, Assign the Strategy  to it
MM02 [MRP3 view] strategy group should be the one that ties together (all the other ties
It may be something in this area that you need to trace through ?
