I m planning to take up C_TAW12_70 certification, please let me know which material I should refer ? coz I have the below,
TAW10_1, TAW10_2, TAW10_3, TAW12_1 & TAW12_2

Hi BHARANIDARAN ,
As per my knowledge, if you are going for class room training the course is bit different it includes Webdynpro and some more topics but 95% of course is same. But if you are going for Elearning then these books you have mentioned are sufficient for clearing the exam. Read these books thoroughly, do all practicals after each chapter and solve certification questions which you can serach in google. atleast 4-5 revisions are necessary if you want to clear the exam in first attempt. All the 80 questions come from these books. The questions are very simple, but your concepts should be very clear in oreder to answer these questions because all the answers looks similiar or almost similiar. Stusy these 5 books very thoroghly and do lot of revisions. I have shared my personal experince with you. if you have any queries you can ask.

Check the SAP training website (just google C_TAW12_70); it will give you a breakdown of the expected number of questions in each topic area. There should also be some sample questions there. Very very useful.

Associate Level Direct Certification - ABAP 7.0 (C_TAW12_70)

Hi all,
I am planning to take the certification ABAP 7.0 (C_TAW12_70) which is Associate Level Direct Certification .
Which versions of TAW10 and TAW12 do I have to refer for the Certification ?
I have TAW10_1 - ABAP Workbench fundamentals part 1 with course version 2005/Q4 ; material number 50077028 and part 2 with material number 50077029
Also , TAW12 part 1 and part 2 has version number 2005/Q2 and material number 50077373.
Are these the latest versions for the certification which I can refer too ?
Also, the course curriculum mentions TAW11 and TAW11E. Where can i find the books ?
If any one has the Softcopy of the same , please let me know .
Else, is there any book in the market which covers these topics ?

Syllabus for ABAP certification (C_TAW12_70)

Hi Friends,
Do we have Data Transfer(BDC) in the syllabus of ABAP certification(TECHED)? As we dont have any chapter in TAW10/TAW12.
And they have added WEB DYNPRO into the syllabus.
Can you provide me some document containing brief knowledge on it. I was planning to skip it but its better to have some idea.

C_TAW12_70 ABAP Certification Release

Hello Experts n Certified Consultants,
I have registered to give exams C_TAW12_70 for Tech Ed 09 and I believe I have old TAW10 & TAW12 as it mentioned Release 4.6D in the intials pages. I tried searching for latest books around, but in vain.
1. Are TAW10 & TAW12 Release 4.6D still valid for C_TAW12_70?
2. If no, what is the Release that I should look out for? Can anybody help in finding latest TAWs, if there are any.

TAW10-12 will contain topics for C_TAW12_04 exam, The new exam will cover some extra topics which you wont find in these books. as of now what best i can suggest is the book published by SAP Press by Puneet Asthana, David Haslam for the new exam you are appearing for. Check out here.

C_TAW12_70 - Can I pass it just by reading the material?

Hello everyone,
I am planning to take the C_TAW12_70. So far I have not taken any of the SAP certifictions. Now I am planning to take up the one relevant for ABAP developer. Please tell me if I have chosen the right one. Also, right now I am not working, so I dont get to work anything practically while I am preparing for the exam. I do have some 3 yrs work experience on WebDynpro and ABAP Objects. So I presume I can understand what is explained in a study material. Some of you have already taken the exam, so please tell me is it possible to pass the exam if I read the list of study material suggested on certification website? (Mostly BC4** , NW001 and NET310.)

Hi Kavitha,
I took this exam in April this year and got through. I felt the questions were very tricky. Your experience will help you as mine did while taking up the exam. Going through the material is the right way of doing it, but in the exam the questions will be asked topic wise, like there will be 8-9 topics...these are the same topics that is given in the sap website. So, I recommend studying topic wise...For example User Interfaces are not available properly in TAW10 and TAW12 materials, so in the sap website there is another material mentioned there, you better go through that.
So,basically studying topic wise is the best option. When taking up the exam, I suggest you to take up the easy topics like ABAP Dictionary, Enhancements first....and then the rest...just to cool your nerves. Also, dont forget to brush up on Netweaver,you will get some 4 questions from that topic.
And more thing I hope you are aware that this particular paper does not have partial marking, that means if there are 4 correct answers for a question, and you choose only 3 as the right,you dont gain any mark. And most of the questions are multiple answer questions, hence this exam becomes tricky,because one mistake and you will loose marks.

ABAP Development certification

I am certified as a support consultant for incident management for SAP business all in one, but I am thinking of having a career in ABAP Development, because I am into programming more.
I have good basics in ABAP but I wanted to know how long it would take me to be an associate developer in ABAP, and what material I need to cover in order to make sure that I pass the exam with the code: C_TAW12_70

You would have to do all of these courses, and/or gain equivalent experience. That might take 2-3 years.
The test itself is not that hard, so you might still get through after somewhat less experience. It is a multiple choice exam.

P_ABAP_70 vs C_TAW12_70?

Hello everyone!
1) Does anybody know whether I have to pass C_TAW12_70 before I can take P_ABAP_70? Or I can take P_ABAP_70 without any previous exams?
2) On the page about P_ABAP_70 it's said that "Professional Certifications are targeting profiles with minimum 4 - 7 years of experience. Besides the recommended education courses also practical job experience is required and tested."
Does it mean that if I have only 2 year experience I'm not allowed to take this exam? How my practical job experience will be tested??

Hi,
As far as I know, you can take any exam you want at any time. Just pay the exam fee! (There do seem to be some restrictions in India though).
As for the guidelines you quoted, SAP is just saying that you'll have a hard time passing the Professional exam without 4-7 years' experience.
Whether that is true, I'm not so sure. After all, it is multiple choice, and the pass mark is (from recent reports) quite low. So you might get lucky. Good luck!

ABAP for HANA certification

I am ABAP consultant having 9 years of exp. I want to do certification for ABAP for Hana.I found one certification with name SAP Certified Development Specialist - ABAP for SAP HANA (Edition 2014). In that i found below line written "This certification is issued to candidates who successfully pass the certification exam for the "SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver" (C_TAW12_70, C_TAW12_71, C_TAW12_731, P_ABAP_70)."
Now my question is that I have not done any prior certification on ABAP. So Can i directly go for the ABAP for Hana certification or i have to first clear Abap with netWeaver first.

ABAP certification clarifications

I am soon gone be certified in ABAB C_TAW12_70, i searced in sap.com and in SDN also and i found some answers about my following questions but because it's old, and the rules changes per exam i want be cleares the follow for the next exam.
1. How many questions finaly are ? 80 or 90 ?
2. What exactly is the passing score ?
3. How many questions can have a subquestion ? 3?5?10?
4. negative score exists for wrong aswers ?

C_taw12_70 participant handbook version 092

I want to be a SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver. I have undergone classroom training from sap authorised partner for the same and prepared from the paticipant handbook course version 092 that they have given.I want to appear for c_taw12_70 exam.Can I qualify and appear for the certification exam c_taw12_70 if I have prepared from the course version 092 given in the handbook?

Hi Raman,
As communicated by mails and discussions on the call .You will appear for the certification based on the course that was offered . Hence your certification is C_TAW12_71 for course collection 92
Since you are appearing for certification based on your course and not based on your SAP experience you cannot change your certification code to the previous version.

C_TAW12_70 upgraded material

Hello ,
Am planning to give C_TAW12_70 -ABAP certification. I have TAW10 and TWA12 books(Netweaver 2004- copyright2005).
Are these books alright to study from, or there are current upgraded versions for Netweaver 07?

ABAP in 21 Days is absolutely NOT good enough for NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP Associate (even) preparation. I have the SAP Certification Success Guide (ABAP with NetWeaver 7.0) for Certified Development Associate (C_TAW12_70), and having passed two ABAP certification exams, let me tell you...the 7.0 is going to be MUCH tougher...the changes in scoring will also make passing more difficult! The Professional is out of my reach, because I have no involvement with Web-based stuff and the newer customer-facing products. For Master, I haven't even seen the experience requirements and exam content yet...
I spoke to Ken Greenwood about his ABAP 21 Days book and he said it was the first two weeks of the ABAP Academy classes (he was teaching 4.0x version for Plaut Consulting (operated SAP Academy) at that time!), so beware....the book is SERIOUSLY out of date.
