Using another compatible battery to the phone will help isolate the issue. Does the phone have enough power? How old the SIM you have in it?

Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

I am having a similar odd issue. First of all this summer i took my iphone 4 to apple because my screen had quit. I could hear calls and texts coming thru but screen was unresponsive. I was a month out of warranty so the nice fella at apple gave me a 30 day warranty, then replaced my handset with a refurb. Saturday night at dinner i was on my phine and it died. I plugged it in thinking nothing of it and went to bed. When i wooe up after the charger had been on all night all i had was the black screen with the battery (red) and lightning bolt, meaning it knew it plugged in but still did nothing. So off to apple i go. They said i was out of warranty and the problem (never said what problem) would cost 170 bucks to fix. So i went and upgraded to the iphone 5 ( figured if i'm spending that anyways may as well be on a new phone). When I got home i tinkered with the old one with all the online suggestions i could find. (Cleaning ports, hard reset, putting into recovery mode, and checking indicators for water damage which there was none). Still only saw the battery symbol. I left it alone figuring i can sell off cheap and someone else can repair. Last night for kicks i plugged it in again and it came to life! It is in recovery mode (needs to be hooked to itunes to regain functionality) but showed 100% battery charge. I went to show my bf and realized an issue. If its not plugged into the wall adaptor, it wont turn on. I figured then that if i can get it plugged in and pull it up on itunes maybe it would be fine. When plugged into the computer it wont hold enough power. It thrns on shows the apple for 30 seconds, shuts off. My ending conclusion on my own is that it needs a new battery in order to be revived. Anyone think this sounds like a reasonable conclusion? Or will i be wasting money? If i can get it restored to functional, cheaply i can give to my bf (his pos lg phone is almost toast) or sell it.

Fresh install of trial version of Captivate 8 on OS X 10.9.3 - no previous version of Captivate on machine. I've got lots of crashing to desktop problems right off the bat. Is there a patch available? I work at a University and we're evaluating for online courseware - my last experience with Captivate was 5.0. Anyone else experience this with the trial download?

There is no difference in terms of usage and features between a trial version and a licensed version.
Could you tell me do you get any specific error message when it crashes, or does it crash while using a particular feature, or is it random?
Can you also try with a different user account (admin) on your MAC, check if it behaves same there?

If there isn't a lock symbol at the top of the screen next to the battery indicator then try a soft-reset and see if it rotates after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Problem: Qosmio 505-Q850 turned off without warning and won't start up
The unit switched off without warning leaving only the LEDs for external power and the battery lit.
When the power button is pressed, it lights up for a moment before dying again. A few seconds later it lights up again before quitting again. While it's lit up the power LED is also lit and a slight vibration is felt from the unit.
Other than the slowly blinking lights and the slight sound/vibration, there's no life from the unit. Any ideas?Sounds like it aint charging properly... could be a break in the charger wire right before the connector or the internal power connector is bad. the is supposed to run on the charger power alone without the battery intalled. if it does not its definitly the charger or the internal connector. If it does come on with the charger alone let it run for a while an then feel the the power connector and wire to see if its hot. If it is, this can be an indicator of an break in the wire or or a bad internal connector.

Hi, I got the problem with Firefox 27.0.1. I can not run Selenium on Firefox after login a website for automation testing. The browser is not responding. However when I close Nunit, the page is back to be normal. The title is returned to the name of website without "not responding". I sure this problem did not happen on Firefox version 26. I just got this problem when firefox upgrading automatically to version 27. Please help me fix this problem because it is very important for my work. Try to reset it. just press hold the on/off botton (ignore the red slider) just hold it then the ipad is automatically reset. dont worry about your file, there nothing happen to it. Godbless.

Your system was released back in May of 2007 so I suspect you've had it for a while. I know that the CPUs have self preservation modes that will react if the processor gets overtaxed. Try cleaning out the system with some of that air in a can stuff. Blow out the heatsink and processor fins and make sure there's not a lot of dust around the vents and inside. Make sure it's got plnty of air flow into the box. When the fan goes crazy it's the system trying to react what it feels is an excessively warm temp inside. It can also happen when you've got a lot of different programs running that strains the system. The information on the webpage for your system (See here) reflects a base memory of 3GBs If you want, another GB of memory might help the system if it's a 32Bit OS or as much as 8 if it's a 64 bit system. My 4-year-old MacBook start turning off without low power warning while on battery.
I checked the battery level, it's usually around 20~30% once I plug it back on and restart.
Any one have any idea? I got a new battery last summer, and I really don't want to pay for another one.

This is necessary not so much for the health of the battery, but rather to make sure the battery and your MacBook are in sync. Calibrating your battery is what allows your MacBook to estimate how much of a charge is remaining. Over time, without calibrating, they can become out of sync. When this happens, your computer may think you have a 20% charge, when the battery only has a 1 or 2 percent charge. Since your computer "thinks" it has plenty of charge remaining, it doesn't alert you or go into sleep... but then the battery just runs out. Here are the instructions for calibrating your battery:

Everything work fine, until install the new driver for GPU from nvidia, v320, and give me problem whit P1 mode.
I'm uninstall the driver, and instal old, no fix, I'm uninstall all driver MSI (nvidia overclok tool, s-bar, afterburner, nvidia drivers) ,and install it again, no fix problem, still P1 "TURBO MODE" automatically off in few seconds ;/
curiosity:
For more GPU clok (700MHZ)and memory (1700), I run "nvidia inspector",only open "show overcloking",and "Driver profile" , nothing change ! Then run afterburner , and set gpu clok to 700Mhz, memory clok 1700, aply, and in game it's run gpu to 700Mhz, no pressing P1 button !!
But I want to press only P1 button for more gpu clok...

Can confirm this works for me, I can now use my turbo button and change brightness without SCM crashing on the latest Nvidia drivers (331.65).
