C1-01 weird lcd light
I just bough C1-01 and found that lcd light not so comfortable to my eyes, it's like a very bright/metalic effect in some color, mostly seem at dark grey color, like seeing 3D anaglyph using 3D glasses.
Try to rotate the phone to lanscape position (keypad at right and display lcd at left) and display look much better, i think lcd position should be this way.
Is it normal ? or lcd defect ?
if you can't remove what is clogging the charger port, or it is affecting your charging performance negatively, you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care for inspection: http://nokia.com/support

17" MacBookPro LCD light problem
Hi, I hope somebody can help me with this...
2 months ago (may 2011), I bought a MBP 17" 4GB RAM 1GB video, the thing is, I used it normally the last time (I don´t remember if that day installed a new firmware, but I believe I installed one few days before the problem) and i turned it off, when I tried to turn it on, I heard the sounds and a CD reading, but the LCD is just black, dead, like it is unplugged, I can adjust the volume and hear the sound of it, I can see the light of the keyboard, and then, if I use my MBP with a window behind of me, with the sunlight I can see the desktop and the menus and use them, that´s why I believe the LCD light is not working. As I said before, I just bought it 2 months ago in USA, but I took it out of the country for work and I can´t find the ticket!, does anybody know if the warranty applies in another country (Mexico)? as an additional data, my MBP haven´t suffered the minimum hit or fall, it has no scratches at all.
Please somebody help me! =(I think your best bet would be to call Apple on the phone and explain your situation and see what they suggest:
http://www.apple.com/contact/
Down at the bottom there is a number listed for Mexico.
You are clearly under warranty, and this does sound like a hardware problem of some sort that should be covered.
Good luck! -

Laptop crashed only LCD light comes on, but it starts up normal. HELP NEEDED ASAP
I was typing an assignment when my pc suddenly froze and produced this loud noise, which lasted for about 30sec. It then went to a bright blue screen telling me my PC has crashed and will restart soon. It loaded to 100% then restarted, but the screen came up black; only the LCD light is present. It runs normal as the screen blinks as it would after the HP screen loads on boot up, and all the lights are on. Furthermore, I use the finger print scan to log in and it works as I can hear my Skype login. I tried the hard reset and nothing. I tried HDMI and it worked. However, I foolishly uninstalled the graphics from device manager thinking that it would reinstall upon reboot and solve my problem: it didn't. Now I have a blank screen and I can't use HDMI as I uninstalled the graphics thing. When I press f4 the screen doesn't do anything, it doesn't source to external physically output. I can't even adjust screen brightness anymore and I previously could before I deleted the graphics. I am out of ideas. Please help me. My assignment is due a day from now and I need to complete it.
Update. I was able to use Windows narrator to enable the graphics an now I have HDMI access again. I am currently using my T.V. as monitor to get my work done. If anyone can tell me what to do about the blank screen it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Apple Discussions
That looks like the front glass panel needs to be removed for cleaning.
Your options are to take it to your local Apple Service Provider/Apple Store and have then clean the display and glass panel, if it's no longer under warranty then (DIY) Do It Yourself.

Windpad 110W Tablet LCD light leak and dead pixels
Hello,
I've just received the 110W tablet (I'm in the USA) and the LCD exhibits what I'll call light leak, where the backlight leaks or bleeds through so that when viewing a dark background you can see white light around the perimeter of the display. The white light is in blotches and shows up around the display in various places. My tablet most noticeably shows light leak on the left side of the display. Has anyone else had this problem with their Windpad tablets?
I've seen this in several other tablets I've had (Eee Transformer, Xoom FE), and it may just be something we live with, but I'd like to get your feedback before I return it to find the replacement exhibits the same light leak problem.
Also, how about dead pixels? Mine has a dead (always black) pixel up at the top of the display which doesn't really bother me at all. Again, I'm just looking for your experience with these issues.
Thanks!Quote from: blakebart on 06-September-12, 11:05:49
Interesting that you would return it for the dead pixel.
Absolutely, on a screen this size it would be very annoying. I have only ever had a dead pixel at work and made them change it.
I have no idea what MSI's dead pixel policy is though so that may affect whether you can return it or not. -
Weird keyboard lighting issue -only white background
Hi Guys
I am a bit stumped, for some reason my keyboard only shows white light instead of colours. If i log off and on some times the colours do change (some times only). I have updated the BIOS and steel series engine, steel series does come up every now and then with "driver not avaliable.application will exit now". i installed the one from MSI and from Steel series website and still nothing. This only started after i closed the lid (sleep mode) and let the battery run flat.
Please if you guys can assist

Have you tried un-installing both steelseries engine then re-download one from msi website and see if issue remains? -

I have an LG w2261vp (21.5 1920x1080) and it's been great but this morning I woke up my G5 (I use deep sleep at night) and at first all looked normal, went away for a few minutes while it checked for email and such.
Came back and the screen looked weird, it was stretched 1280x1024 or something. Checked the display setting and the 1920x1080 and all widescreen options had vanished. At first I thought it was the screen it's self.
I ended up putting it back to sleep, woke up and all was fine. Not sure why it did this but has it happened to anyone else?Touch wood that it was a once off weird thing and won't happen again.
I think that's correct.
I'm running 10.5.8 and have no idea what video card it has, 128Mb I think as it's the standard card that came with the G5 at the time.

my screen keeps dimming and has strange projecting lights from the bottom at times. I read that it has to do with the LCD lighting? I tried doing control+shift+eject like a site said and that didnt help. please help!

Don,t be fooled into replacing your back light (display) by people who did.
I found a few webpages on changing the light for pismo,s dimming display and got really excited because I am really handy as long as you can take it apart. I went through the whole deal and and got to my display out of the frame (top cover of laptop ) and began looking for the light. Well guess what, my lcd light was build in and then sealed into the frame. No screws or such, the only way to get to was to cut the housing of the display.
I found out that G3 laptops use a LCD,s from different manufacturers (samsung, philips, lg and you get my drift) which have their own methods of making a LCD panel housing. I would recommend that if you attempt such a project, make the instructions refer to your panel. It is a catch 22 situation since you have to remove the panel for that info.
By the way, I succeeded but it was not worth it. It took to much effort and time to cut the frame and reset the display to tolerance. one sixty four of inch off at various stages was serious enough for a redo of that. I finally must say that I got lucky (because I will not do it again for this display)That brightness last about two months and then it starts to dim. Although i did replace the bulb, I had dropped the reflector and ran over it with ballbearing wheels that are on my lazy boy. The refector is thin stainless steel which is impossible to shape back to factory specs. So the bottom of my screen has various brightness of light that evens out about quarter of the screen up. That pismo had so many things needing repair (cpu was the final straw), that a I finally bought a used one on ebay for 175 dollar and the display is pretty good. The two bulbs run at 20 dollars and I think a pisomo display is less than a hundred, but then that might not be the brightest. You must have had a lcd from a manufacturer that is difficult to work with, ie. really tight fitting boots that need more than a gentle force and they break. Since there are at least six different companies that pismo uses there lcd display, failure or success cannot be predicted without enough stats on specific displays success and failures in home bulb replacement. I personally do well with things and found this to very difficult, this was to a take apart deal, but break apart at some steps, we all know stressed plastic broken will never fit right again. When i forced the bulb back in the lcd , I was not sure if it broke or not. That is not good to depend on luck. If you want to give it another shot (sometimes the challenge can take on a life of its own when no longer practical) you might consider heat shrink tubing instead. I have not done it but it is just a thought.
Note: these bulbs require a few minutes to reach max brightness, older scanner that used the same bulb had a warmup period. -
Canon 5D Mark III = Light Leak & Exposure warning
For those keen on the new 5DM3.... a warning about the exposure metering.
It's been reported that using the LCD light in dark environments will affecting the metering.
Ambient light on the top LCD will enter the exposure metering circuits to again mess up the metering...

Hmm... does this mean the camera can't be trusted outdoors in bright light, nor in total darkness?Hi xl,
Sorry for the delay in responding on this. I believe you are correct, and that Canon is working on a resolution to this problem. I know you’re a Nikon user, but if any Canon shooters have any concerns about this I would suggest contacting Canon directly.

Is there a way to get the new value assigned to a serial column (DG4IFMX)
