C2-00 Dual Sim available in Europe?

Hi...
i am looking for the new C2-00 Dual-Sim...
Will this phone be available in Europe (Germany)?
It seems to be a fantastic phone with Dual-Sim Standby...
That is exactly, what i am looking for..
Thanks....

Still unaviable .
Model is very interesting for traveling people. Most from Russia. (the crazy rooming)
In Russia is very popular product:  travel sim cards (http://eurosim.travel).
So, need the cheap & trusty dual-sim phone. C2-00 looks good.
Nokian's marketing is going the company to dump.

If you are located in Sri Lanka, your Nokia Care might refuse to change the product code. You have to double check with them and hope the best. Although, in a situation like yours, I would not waste much time and do it myself.
That's something great to hear from you. I have been kind of a techy guy for a long time and I am a fast learner. So I believe that I will be able to execute the change of region task, if a set of instructions are there to follow. Can you provide me with a source that teaches how to change the region of a mobile phone?
Regarding the suggestions to Nokia, I then don't think that they would want to hear views from their customers and they might well want to go on their own way (probably why Samsung overtook them in mobile industry). I do not know and this is actually my 2nd Nokia phone in my life (had a short stint with Nokia 2600 Classic, a long time ago).
For an example, the Sony Ericsson Cedar (and their other basic phones) had the feature to set specific "Message tones" to specific contacts, instead of setting a general message tone for every contact. But Nokia does not provide such a feature. Probably, they think that such features are not relevant, but still many of their customers around the world would have loved to have such kinds of small small features. This feature was very vital for me during the days I was using SE Cedar and I am missing that feature a lot from Nokia 208.
The other major issue is that, Nokia does not allow minimizing of Java applications. For example, When I had SE Cedar, I used to browse internet using Opera Mini while I text with someone for a longer time. I mean, until the other party sends a reply, I browse the internet and once the reply arrives, I minimize it and continue texting and then get back to surfing internet again after sending the reply. But with Nokia, I have got to close the application to read the text message and that's been really annoying.
I tried to break the Nokia Security Wall with some sort of tutorial based on internet related to S40 firmwares, but it did not work.
Any help regarding the issues mentioned above, would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Urgent help with Nokia 208 Dual SIM

    Hi all,
I have a new Nokia 208 Dual SIM type RM-949 (English & Chinees).
I wish to install Hebrew on it but I can't find an appropriate firmware.
Does anyone knows if there's such version around the net?
Can I install the RM-948 instead? Will it support the Dual SIM function?
Is there an RM-956 version with Hebrew and if yes, can it be installed on this model (RM-949)???
    Please help.............. I'm stuck........
    Thanks,
    Shai.

    Hi,
I've checked today with our local Nokia care center and it seems like there's no such firmware that support this model that includes Hebrew language.
Only for single SIM you my find such version.
    Now what?
Am I stuck with this phone?
    Thanks,
    Shai.
The Dual-SIM version was specifically made for specific regions mainly for developing markets (esp in Asia-Pacific). Hence, language packs available are limited or made available only to those countries.

Hi Olutoye. It is best to update the software of your phone since updating it to the latest version may fix minor issues you are experiencing with it. Make sure to connect to a stable internet connection. We recommend connecting to an available WiFi when updating the software. We'll wait for your reply.

  • Dual SIM cards

I read somewhere that the OS for iPhone supports dual SIM cards.
After a quick search i found a (french?) website that sold adapters that could fit two SIM cards in the slot of the iPhone.
They claim that they havn't fully tested this on the iPhone 3G and 3Gs.
Fitting the SIM cards in the adapter requires cutting them down in size and cutting a hole in the SIM holder for the iPhone.
As for the cutting of the SIM cards, one can always buy a replacement, but if this damage the inside of the iPhone, I don't know how to deal with this...
Does anyone have tried this, and have som input?
    Is it recomended or not?

I'm not sure how they could do this with only one SIM card making contact with the internal connections at any one time. No amount of on screen menu would activate a SIM card that isn't physically making a connection to the internal connections.
They would have to make some sort of adapter which connected both SIM card to a common contact port which lined up with the internal SIM connections within iPhone. Amending the software to have an option to switch SIM goes against the OS Terms and Conditions. Unless the application is authorised by Apple and is available through the App Store, any damage caused as a result of trying this would render your warranty VOID.
I would not recommend trying this, but it is your iPhone and it is your decision (and money)

  • DUAL SIM PHONE OPTIONS

I need to get a dual sim phone so that i can have my own personal mobile sim in it and my work mobile sim in too
However, I need the option to be able to USE ONE SIM ONLY , so that I can 'turn off' my work mobile when I am not working.
I was looking at something like the Asha 202 or C2-00. However, having downloaded their user manuals, it would suggest you cannot do this (And only have the option of selecting which sim will be used for outgoing calls/texts).
Another dual sim phone , the Nokia 101 according to its user guide has the facility to USE ONE SIM ONLY. However, that is a very basic phone and has no camera.
So, my question is, is the USE ONE SIM ONLY available on the 202 & C2-00 and is just omitted from the user guide, or is it really not available ?
    Thanks

    @MIKEYBOY_UK
AFAIK it allows simultaneous Dual SIM Support with preferred SIM selection for Making Calls and Data. Asha 200 allows hot swap of SIM 2 via side slot whilst SIM 1 is placed underneath battery.
Happy to have helped forum with a Support Ratio = 42.5

  • Dual sim nokia

    Friends and community nokia
    I have some questions?
what is the meaning of automatic switching bands?
when a phone have dual sim card and automatic switching bands can receive calls of the two operators?
how is the nokia phone recomended  for you that have dual sim card?
if i want  only one phone for two operator whith both caracteristics how is the best recommended phone?
i do this question because in my country we have three operators of mobile
    thanks  for your help

Dual band supports GSM and 3g frequencies. GSM has a broad coverage while 3g supports faster downloads (HSDPA) but is not available in all areas. This has nothing to do with dual SIM.  There are special dual SIM adapters for e.g. E71

  • Dual SIM adapter for iPhone 6

Wondering if using a dual SIM adapter from China could compromise security? Would be convenient to use  overseas since   T-Mobile provides free international  service, but need to have local SIM too so locals can call and text me without incurring international charges. Item is listed here: http://gusuxinchen.com/order/product_info.php?products_id=114

Thanks for all the insights which have made it easier for me to make a decision. Think I will just suspend my T-Mobile account for three months I will be overseas since T-Mobile says expected data speed overseas is just 128kbps, huh, not enough for much more than reading email and light internet surfing, and calls are 20 cents a minute unless on WIFI, great if I were going to Mexico for one week, but not for extended stay. I have an unlocked iPhone and bought a LTE SIM card already for the country I am visiting, and unlimited data is available on the carriers prepaid plan for just $1.00 a day or $23 for the 30 day plan. Have already changed all important my personal contact phone numbers of record to VOIP:  Skype, Google Voice, even Comcast. The suspension of my T-Mobile account will more than pay for my local SIM on the data plan. Thanks for everyone taking time to read this.

  • Dual Sim for the NEXT Iphone Please

    Hello, Everyone
This is a suggestion for the next iPhone. Please make DUAL Sim built into the phone. I know in America its not all that but in Europe multiple SIMs is very common and popular. You can distinguish work and personal with one phone.

Is dual sim card (1 sim with 2 phone numbers) compatible with iOS 7?

I know that in some iOS versions this function was available...it was not officialy supported be Apple but it worked even with a phone restart.
I wondering now, if iOS 7 has fixed this issue.
Is there anyone using a dual sim card and has upgraded to iOS 7? I need a lived experience!

When i connect data network on Sim 1, always it connects to 'G' - GPRS only. Why not 'E' - EDGE?

  • Dual-SIM awareness into Connections logic [N8 with...

Would it be possible to get into some future update some kind of awareness of dual-SIM's?
Users like me with dual sim dont have data connectivity enabled on both sides. This means that when i'm out of WLAN reach my phone may suddenly start to repeatedly try to connect via 3G when the connection is in the default auto-connecting group along with the WLANs. To avoid the battery drainage i now moved the 3G to a manually activated group so the automatics wont think my 3G should be available also when it isn't! I can think of two ways -- either stop trying autoconnect after one failure (until SIMM side switched) or let use specify for which SIM side autoconnect may happen and for which not!
Also, often one sees 3G establishing even if WLAN is already connected (or at least connecting)!
And cant you somehow make ALL applications able to use all connections -- now there are apps that only knows 3G/GSM and, if lucky, the option Ask always.
It would also be great if all widgets would believe when i say i want Widgets offline. Now there seems to be always something, maybe java ones, using it (and the connections dialog doesnt give more than "weblets"!

The big improvement is to run the session off the PowerMac, use the PB as a node. As far as whether you are throwing money out the window... I can't answer. If you want OS 9, you'll need this - if you don't a newer Mac would be a better option, most likely. FWIW, my primary setup is a DP 1.25 PM G4 - with a C2D as a node. The PM allows you to pull tons of tracks.
