C2-01 No default config
After doing a factory reset and a software update on my c2-01, my phone isn't getting any config from my SIM for internet - default config says empty. How do I get this to work again? Thanks!

I have no navigation bar ever since I closed it to gain more space on the screen. It won't re-open. Firefox will not open in safe mode, but opens immediately in normal mode with the new improper config, so I cannot reset to default config. I erased Firefox and re-installed and it still opens with the same faulty config. Why does Firefox not give me the safe mode dialog box, why can I not re-open the nav bar, and how can I do these two things, please? Firefox is currently unusable for me without a nav bar and without access to the default settings in safe mode. I cannot research the extensions I'm running since I have no nav bar to go to Tools, Add-ons, Extensions.

How do I get an ASA-5540 back to default config?
Is there an easy way to re-apply the default config that comes with a new ASA-5540? I'd like to have our ASA-5540 be back to its default with 192.168.1.1 on the inside interface and act as a DHCP server so I have connect a PC to it to begin initial configuration using the ASDM.
The ASA-5540 is running on asa723-k8.bin.configure factory-default
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa72/command/reference/c4_72.html#wp2039866
a simple "write erase/reload" would also do the trick. -
Severe Error: Assertion Failed: config element named "default-config"
I ran the command:

This returned the message:

I return a SEVERE and a Warning message, I googled the severe message without any luck and I was wondering if this has been troubleshooted before.
I'd appreciate any insight or instructions to correct this.
Thanks,Kedar: Thank you for the feedback, I don't remember changing any templates. Only adding a connection pool.

Control Plane Policing - is the a default config in a 6509?
I was doing some configuration reviews today, removing some lines that needed to be removed and came across an ACL I have never seen before. I sure wish I could copy and paste into this thread!
ip access-list extended cpp-management
class-map match-all cpp-any
match access-group name cpp-any
class-map match-all cpp-management
match access-group name cpp-management
and then some policy maps and access lists, etc.
Does anyone know if this is a default config? I've never seen in before and none of my co-workers have owned up to putting it in there.
Thanks in advance.
TimIt is not a default, that is a custom config. CoPP is not on by default.
Hope it helps. -

I have to add that once rebooted into default config, the webinterface responds really slow.
JohnFor anyone who experiences the same problem => CHECK THE MAX PoE OUTPUT OF PoE SWITCH!!
When you are on the limit of the switch PoE power output you may see that the switch seems to receive enough voltage becaus it starts when plugin in the utp cable. well, 7.2V is not the required 8V!! T
That triggers the configuration reset on the access point.

Redis' default config and systemd
Hello,
redis' default config includes settings exclusively targeted towards logrotate:
It includes a redis.logrotate for managing logs
It explicitely defines a log file (/var/log/redis.log)
It daemonizes the server, making sure that nothing is outputted on stdout
While I have no grip with logrotate, this setting makes it incompatible with systemd's own logging, journalctl: no logs are registered by it. Plus, since it's impossible to specify a custom file as a log for a given unit, it is impossible to use journalctl with redis. Seeing as the trend goes towards using systemd more and more, I'd like to ask: is it really the best thing to have a unit's log outside systemd ?
Please note that I don't want to discuss the pluses/minuses of systemd, rather the default configuration one gets when installing redis that is inconsistent with the rest of the system.Introduction to Redis wrote:Redis is written in ANSI C and works in most POSIX systems like Linux, *BSD, OS X without external dependencies.
Linux and OSX are the two operating systems where Redis is developed and more tested, and we recommend using Linux for deploying. Redis may work in Solaris-derived systems like SmartOS, but the support is best effort. There is no official support for Windows builds, but Microsoft develops and maintains a Win32-64 experimental version of Redis.
Is this a technical problem like Redis log doesn't hold correct info if journalctl is running ?
Or is redis loginfo accurate, but you feel those logs SHOULD be accessible through journalctl ?
Give your OP content , I'll assume it's the 2nd case.
I feel that logging mechanism is an upstream decision.
OS X and *BSD don't have systemd, and on linux there are still plenty of distros that don't use systemd (like the *buntus) .
For redis this would mean that supporting journalctl would force them to support 2 different logging systems instead of 1.
They will probably be reluctant to do that.
An alternative to Redis supporting journalctl would to be for journalctl to support Redis.
Maybe systemd journalctl could gain the option to accept a log file as input ? -
C871 default config after power off - bad nvram?

How can I revert back to the default config on Secure Access Server 5.3?
We recently purchased new Secure Access Control Servers version 5.1 and have upgraded to version 5.3 with current patches. Several people have configured one of the appliances and we would like to revert back to the original config with no NDGs or Devices or any other variables configured. Is this possible?
While looking up a command in the CLI reference, I also found the command to reset the acs to factory default. It is "acs reset-config". This resets the acs portion only, not the linux appliance, so your IP addresses, DNS, etc. are retained. It does clear out the license for the ACS, so if you use this make sure you have the license file. You will also have to go through the initial password setup again.

Creating default config file for htop
Hi there. I think the title says it all.
I've been using htop for some time now, but I hate to have to reconfigure it each time I start it. Is there a way to save the current config of htop to a file or something or create a new default one ?
Thanks in advanceUm, .htoprc?
It looks like this on my system: http://paste.pocoo.org/show/208652/
htop's configuration interface changed the file, and it was loaded on next startup.

Default Config Register for 4507 ?
what the Defult Config Register for 4507 ? this was Question and the answer was as below
When supervisor cards are shipped out from the factory, the config-register is set to 0x2101. The value of 0x2101 means "ignore the boot variable string and boot the first valid IOS image from flash".
The correct config register value should be 0x2102 but this means you need to have the correct boot variable string or else the switch will either boot the wrong IOS file or the switch will go into ROMmon.
i want to know what is the correct variable string , and how to know it , and what is the correct value ???Duplicate posts.

Now, i want to reinstall the default windows vista SO from this service partition, but when a power on the system with the lenovocare key, there is not option to start the recovery and rescue utility program. it only give me 4 options :
start normally (esc), enter the bios (f1), select boot sequence (f12) and analize the hardware and restore system (f11)
i tried all these options, and none of then open the recovery and rescue program

I need help to configurate a Form UIBB dynamicaly.
I insert in the Method Get_Default_Config some fields of the Table SPFLI - this works fine. But my Problem is that all the fields doesn't have a F4 Help.

Hi there!
I try to use SVN to checkout a project, but command end with error:
svn: OPTIONS of 'http://myserver.com:8081/svn/Project/branches/somedir': could not connect to server (http://myserver.com:8081)
If you use normal port (80) it works. But this is not my SVN server.
In others computers in same LAN, command works fine. So... I think that it is some configuration in my Lion.
ping command show:

tangsuanHi, I have even the worst problem,
that seems probably to to be never asked on Internet. After quick learning how to reset this creapy device, I can't get by no means the enable password in default config for this box, having read everywhere from Cisco guide through community pages to Google pages.. NOWHERE.
Question is : what else except Cisco, cisco, root, password... can solve this stupid issue?!? I expect some guru from responsible AP BU to answer this with definite answer, or someone from Cisco having mercy with me to contact such guy(s).
Here is my desperate situation :
Nothing from this page helped :
