C200 All-in-One: Flash player crashing, Skype (video) crashing

Good day! I have a problem with my new Lenovo C200 All-in-One. FreeDOS has been installed when I turn it on at first time so I decided to install Windows 7 Pro x64. But there are many unexpected BSOD's while working in Win 7. OK, I installed Windows XP Pro instead Windows 7. It's working OK but - I can't play most of youtube movies based on Adobe Flash Player - there are 3-5 mins and "Adobe Flash Player has been crashed" :-( And there is no any dependence of browser I'm using. Same problem with: MS IE/Mozilla Firefox/Google Chrome. And finally, I can't use videocalls in my Skype! Webcam is OK but when I'm trying to call using videocamera - Skype is crashing. So my question: is it hardware or software problem? What do you think about it? Thank you.

hi shupike,
The issue that you described seems like a software problem.
Can you try check the following:
1. Make sure you're running the latest version of Adobe Flash (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer)
2. Disable adobe flash's hardware acceleration (right click on the video > choose Settings > uncheck Enable hardware accelleration.
Spoiler (Highlight to read)
Regarding the webcam, try to install an old version of skype and install the latest camera driver below:
Lenovo USB2.0 UVC Camera
ID1CAM08WW1.exe
20.2 MB
Hope this helps.

    Question
    pluggin container makes flash player crash. all is up to date. How to avoid this?

    First, download and run the Flash uninstaller: [http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html] . You probably want the 64-bit version. After that has run, restart your computer, and then let's download a fresh version of Flash. Try downloading and installing it from [http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe here].
    Once you have flash installed again, start Firefox up, and see if you are getting any errors. If it works, awesome, if not, let's move on.
    Start Firefox up in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode ]] (don't select any of the checkboxes that appear). If Flash works here, then it is one of your addons which is causing a problem.
    If we are still having a problem, try [[Updating your graphics driver|Updating your graphics driver]] .
    If none of these work, read [[Troubleshooting plugins|Troubleshooting plugins]] and let me know!

  • Flash Player Crashes In All Web Browsers

    Dear Adobe,
    For months now when ever I visit a site that uses flash, wever it be in Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 9 or Mozilla Firefox. Within about 5 minutes the page I am on will crash and report to me that, the flash plugin / player has crashed. It does this without fail, every time I go online. I mostly play zynga games on facebook. I also use fullscreen whenever possible, and always using the latest version of flash thanks to the cool flash updater.
    I have just today checked and updated to the latest nvidia graphics drivers with a clean installation.
    I followed advice about disabling hardware acceleration and going through the steps for uninstalling Flash, and emptying the folders associated with it. Sadly though the problem still remains.
    I would love for this long time problem to be resolved!
    My system is Windows 7 64-Bit, with an Nvidia Geforce 7600gs.
    Please find dxdiag results.

    Hi Mikey - Sorry you're running into these crashes.  It's odd that this is occurring with all browsers and Flash content.  There must be something specific about your system that is causing this to happen.  We'd like to investigate further.  Would you be willing to create a new bug report and attach both your dxdiag report and any crash dumps that you can generate?  Please see this FAQ for additional details and steps.
    How do I report a Flash Player crash to Adobe?

  • Flash Player crashes in all browsers

    I have IE 8, Firefox 3.6 and Chrome 6.0 on my laptop.  I have the latest version of Flash on all three.  All of of a sudden, the Flash Player plugin will crash and the browser will lock up any time I open a page that uses Flash.  What could be doing this?

    Here are the files in the Flash folder:
    Flash Player Trust
    Flash10k.ocx
    FlashInstall
    flashplayer.xpt
    FlashUtil10k_ActiveX.dll
    FlashUtil10k_ActiveX
    NPSWF32.dll
    Version is 10.1.85.3

    Hi, thanks. I think we need to take a look at the Flash files.
    Go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash  Open Flash and post back all files listed. You will need to right click on the NPSWF files and then click on Properties to obtain the version numbers.
    Thanks,

  • Is there a way to have one flash player play all moives on a web page ?

    Hi,
      Is there a way to have one flash player play all movies on a web page ?   For example, you have a list of FLV movies on a page and you click on any them and it will play on the same player on the web page. Or does each movie needs it's own ?
    Thanks in advance..
    Peter

    Yes, for the design I made, the movies are loaded from the server.  Here is the code for the design.  It is done using AS2, and the stage includes two buttons (s1, s2) for playing the individual videos, one button to play them both (playall), one after the other, and the video object (video1_video) that was added via small menu you find at the top of the library panel's frame.
    I cannot say this would work directly for your implementation, but it gives you some things you can look into so that you can figure out how.
    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
    // ignore whatever code is above this... the forum added it, not me
    stop();
    ncount = -1;
    var connection_nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
    connection_nc.connect(null);
    var stream_ns:NetStream = new NetStream(connection_nc);
    stream_ns.setBufferTime(3);
    stream_ns.onStatus = function(infoObject:Object) {
            for (var prop in infoObject) {
                   if(infoObject[prop] == "NetStream.Play.Stop" && ncount == 0){
                       video1_video.attachVideo(stream_ns);
                       stream_ns.play("20051210-w50s.flv");
                       ncount += 1;
    playall.onRelease = function(){
          ncount = 0;
          video1_video.attachVideo(stream_ns);
          stream_ns.play("barsandtone.flv");
    s1.onRelease = function(){
          video1_video.attachVideo(stream_ns);
          stream_ns.play("barsandtone.flv");
    s2.onRelease = function(){
          ncount = -1;
          video1_video.attachVideo(stream_ns);
          stream_ns.play("20051210-w50s.flv");
    I don't deal with video very often, so I have not created an AS3 version of this.

  • Mac OS X - Flash Player crashes all browsers

    I installed Flash Player on a MacBook Pro under Mac OS X
    10.4.10. If I visit any page with Flash content, the browser
    crashes immediately. This happens with any browser - tried it with
    Safari, Firefox, and Opera.
    If I uninstall Flash Player, I can visit those pages fine -
    but of course I can't see the Flash content.
    Any ideas?

    Lee, what is your Flash Player version? You can see it in
    firefox if you type "about:plugins" in address bar.
    Recently (July, 21st) I have posted a bug report about Flash
    player crashing on Mac OS X 10.4.7 on Intel processor:
    I have noted that Flash Player 9.0.47.0 (9.0 r47) crashes on
    any Flex application, for example:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/samples/flex_store_v2/
    But if you uninstall r47 and install an earlier version -
    r28, it works well.
    The uninstaller is here:

  • Flash Player crashes instantly, cannot disable hardware acceleration - Ubuntu 11.10 Acer Aspire One

    Ubuntu 11.10 32 bit
    Firefox 10.0.2 32 bit
    Flash 11.1 r102
    I have a Acer Aspire One netbook
    As soon I hit "play" on a flash movie, flash player crashes
    I have tried to disable hardware acceleration to eliminate that possibility, but the check box does not respond to input
    I read that the flash player system controls do not respond when there are scrollbars around the screen (as there are on a small netbook screen) so I zoomed out to get rid of the scrollbars, but the systems setting menu is still unresponsive when I try to disable hardware acceleration

    Thanks Carl, but as I mentioned:
    >I have tried to disable hardware acceleration to eliminate that possibility, but the check box does not respond to input
    eg. when I right slick on a player, the setting menu opens up, but the "Enable hardware" check box does not respond to a mouse click and remains on  I also tried tabbing around the settings menu and using the return key to select/ de-select but that doesn't work either

  • Adobe flash player crashing my whole computer could anyone please help?

    Is this just a win vista problem or something?

    Everything is up to date explorers, java, direct x, video cards, checked every single driver...
    This is my problem:
    The newest flash player crashes everytime I open certain web pages like failblog or tinychat which requires a webcam
    I'm not sure what is causing it but it's only when i'm on those webpages that it crashes...
    I can go on youtube kongregate steam and I can play tons of games the only thing I cant do is go on certain websites that messes with the newest version of flash for some reason...
    I can use ANY other version of adobe flash and it won't crash at all but the problem with using the older versions is that I can't use my webcam on certain sites.
    Will there be another update release for adobe flash that will fix this problem? The previous version was fine I don't know what was changed but will it get fixed?
    And yes I have also been into the error logs but it doesn't show anything and the codes that it does show, people don't know what the hell it means lol just a bunch of binary number like data...I could post that but I doubt it would be of any help it's just a few short lines of numbers on each crash...I have purposely crashed my computer about 2 times to check if error logs popup and to see what is crashing the flash player but nothing changes in the crash log..
    So to sum my problems up into a short paragraph....newest flash player crashes my computer when I go on webcam/webchat/certain websites with flash videos on it, also if I right click and try to tamper with the settings it also crashes my computer...I would like to know if there's a possible fix for this or will there be another update released anytime soon?
    Please help and thank you for all future responses I will continue to use older versions of flash player till this problem is resolved, also on my newer i-7 620 processor 5850 ati laptop it crashes but rarely although I can use my webcam on msn on that computer but this is one has problems....

    Sorry I wasn't able to respond for a while I work two jobs so I   really don't have time for this although I would still like to get this   solved very much.
    In the event viewer all it says is that there was an unexpected shut down.
    I  have checked and updated everything on both computers I tried to   disable hardware acceleration and that still didn't change anything.
    Sometimes  when I try to just right click on a flash player and change  the  settings it crashes, if I try to load certain pages it crashes, if I   try to use a webcam chat on a webcam site it crashes. Though I can   still view other people's webcams in chat ex: tinychat I could be in   there chatting away with some friends from across country and nothing   will happen until I click webcam and flash player asks to allow, it  will  crash if I try to right click anywhere and that little flash  settings  popup it crashes.
    All of this happens when I use the most  current version of flash  player any other previous version will not  crash when doing any of this  although I can't use my webcam since the  website is running an updated  version which is why I would like to get  this problem fixed.
    The new firefox update didn't help  at all it still just freezes.  There is no blue screen, no crash error  report, no event log. The event  viewer just says it was shut down  unexpectedly.
    I also tried uninstalling all webcam  applications unplugging my  webcam and that didn't affect it at all.  I've done everything that  people have been doing on here to solve there  problems, I used the  search button and tried options from various  threads but none work for  me.
    I can do everything  normally that requires flash player like play  games, watch videos, and  other stuff but it just crashes when I do those  certain things as  stated above. It's weird that there is no log, no  anything just a  freeze and I can't do anything to the computer i've  tried letting it  sit for about 15 minutes but it didn't respond. I used  ctrl alt del  after a while, alt tab, alt f4, holding down certain keys,  holding the  power button in for a while and nothing will happen. It just  sits  frozen untill I unplug it.
    Is there anything I can do to get an error log of the crash since event viewer isn't working?

  • Flash Player crashes when losing network connection

    My flash player crashes every time i lose internet connection. That happens alot, because the networks i use keep jumping between eachother and they suck, quite frankly, but it's out of my control.
    I got alot of tabs up, 24/7, all using flash player, so when it crashes, that sucks.
    No, it doesn't crash because of the amount of tabs i have open, or the load on it. It happens when i have only 1 tab open too, barely using flash player ..
    So, is there anything i can do about this?
    This didn't happen with the older versions of adobe (I mean alot older, don't remember at which version this started happening, this/last year atleast) ..
    Im running Windows 7 32 bit. But it happens on my Win XP 32-bit computers and Win 7 64-bit computer too.

    So i have the same virus on all my 4 computers?
    1 computer has a updated version of the latest Symantech antivirus, and 1 has an updated version of the latest AVG antivius. They should've found a virus if i had one. And i haven't visited any "suspicious" sites, downloaded anything "suspicious", and have all ads blocked .. The chance of it being a virus is equal to zero.
    When the computer changes from a network (With connection and internet access) to a different network (With connection and internet access) real quick, then it usually doesn't crash.
    But when it changes from a network (With connection and internet access) to a network (With connection, but hotspot, so no internet access before i enter the password and username in a new tab/window) it crashes. Same happens if i simply click "Disconnect" when im on a network.
    It doesn't however do that if i go into "Work offline" mode before disconnecting, but it crashes then when i reconnect to a different network, and go back into working online.
    This is an adobe problem, no virus.
    Happens with both Firefox 3.6, Firefox 4, Google chrome and IE (Whichever version it was i had) ..

    Firefox 3x was released in July 2008 and is no longer supported. You'll have to upgrade to a later version, preferably the current one which is 8.0.1. Be aware that if you choose to install an older version, then you'll be exposing your system to the exploits documented these release notes: http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html#firefox8
    You can download Firefox 8.0.1 from here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/
    After you download that, could you please follow instructions in this thread to uninstall, then reinstall Flash as your issue may be due to file corruption if you didn't disable your security app before installing Flash: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4081633#4081633

  • Flash Player Crash

    I have Firefox 28.0 with Flash Player 13.0.0.182. The Flash Player crashes on every page with Player content rendering the browser unusable, as well. It's very annoying re-opening Ffox dozens times a day, so, I'd be very glad of any assistance. The "mms.cfg" operation (ProtectedMode=0) I've already done with no help at all.

    Did you try to disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin and in Firefox?

  • Safari Flash Player crashes after upgrade to snow leopard

    I just upgraded my 10.5.8 to a snow leopard 10.6. The main problem is safari flash player crashes each time it gets used. Any ideas much appreciated

    You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.  Version 11.4.402.265 is for Snow Leopard onwards.
    You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
    and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

  • Adobe Flash player crashes constantly

    Adobe Flash player crashes in all browsers. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration, expanding memory storage, downloading older versions etc, etc.  I have tried IE10, Firefox 17, Chrome, Avant, and Safari, all with the same issues. I am running an I3 processor at 2.93ghz on an ASUS motherboard, 16gig of RAM, 2gig NVidia graphics card. Any ideas?
    Sorry should add that I'm running Windows 8 Pro

    Usually a complete fresh install resolves this.
    Download the following files by right clicking and selecting "Save Link as"
    Flash Player Uninstaller
    Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
    Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
    Save ALL files to your Downloads folder - DO NOT RUN anything yet.
    Reboot your system.
    BEFORE opening anything else, go to your Downloads folder and run the UNINSTALLER to remove all instances of Flash Player.
    Next, run the ActiveX Installer.
    Lastly, run the Installer for other browsers.
    Once Flash Player is installed go to: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp
    Download BOTH files, the one on the right FIRST by right clicking and selecting "Save target as"... the other by clicking and following the steps to dwonload the  ActiveX installer.

    Branched this to a new topic as the other one was old.
    Can you explain what is happening?  When are you crashing?  What URLs are you at when this occurs?  Can you try updating to the 13.1 or 13.2 ATI drivers (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonaiw_vista64. aspx) to see if that makes a difference.  You can also check to see if disabling Flash Player's hardware acceleration makes a difference.
    How do I disable or enable hardware acceleration?
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Flash Player crashes intermittenly

    Hello,
    My pc was working fine, then suddenly started getting BSODs, and then crashed to the point where i had to reinstall windows.  after a few problems, i determined that i had a faulty RAM unit, replaced it with a new one, and re-installed my OEM version of windows XP
    Now i am getting flash player crashes in FF IE and Chrome, usually based around Facebook or other flash games, but at no regular interval.
    i've uninstalled and reinstalled flash, updated all the drivers in all audio and video cards, turned off hardware acceleration, diabled all the add ons, and tried everything else i could think of.
    then, in the hopes of it being my video card, i just replaced it with a new one.  then updated all the drivers for that, and the flash crashes still happen.
    does anyone know what kind of conflict i have?  and how to stop all the crashes?
    Regards,
    Tim

    Illogical though it may seem, even though you may be OK in IE and in Chrome, try updating your video drivers. That solved it for me.
