C3-01 communities and chat

hi nokia team,
i am having problems right now using my communities for my nokia c3-01. since it shows that it is an invalid file. i cant use my mail as well since its saying that my account either with yahoo, gmail is invalid but i can use the chat.
i am using the latest software now and using a 2gb memory card.

I've been using c3-01 for a year plus now love it, simple and convenient. Installed the latest firmware 7.16 13/01/12 . yet to explore what's the firmware plus and minus. The only thing that ? me, nokia site still poping ver. 6.00 ? Using Nokia suite it will show the latest but no highlight of the latest FW.

[C3] Mail and Chat are totally hopeless.

Hi.
I've bought c3 for 1 months. Everyday i tries to log on to chat and mail, but my problem is it always shows a notification like this:
Mail: service temporary unavailable. try again later.
Chat: temporary service problem. Try again later code 503.
This is really annoying. I can still use store, communities, opera mini but totally not mail AND chat. Can anybody help me with this? Thank you so much.

You did have a successful creating of Mailbox right? What client are you on? If you were using Yahoo! Mail and is set it to POP3, it would not work since Yahoo! does not support POP3 (unless you're one Yahoo!Plus) and for the chat I use Nimbuzz as its way better.

If you meant that the communities are listed on the front page, then yes they are, but that view does not include links to specific categories, such as Airprint for the iPad. The list provides a way of finding direct shortcuts to these filtered sections of communities, either for your own use as a bookmark or when recommending a potentially useful area of the site to explore in your answers to others.

Hi Abdelhediamir,
Is the mobile data connection (with your provider) up and running? Are you able to browse the web using the phone's browser? If no, this is most likely the reason why the issue is happening. Kindly coordinate with your Network Provider to get the correct Internet/APN settings via SMS. Save it on the phone so it will be configured.

How do i make a single connection to handle video, audio and chat

I'm developing an application and i want to make one single connection for video(netstream) and chat(sharedObject).
I have one connection for each but i have limited connection availeble in the server so i need to make a single connection to handle the video net stream and chat sharedObject.
I use this urls to connect:

private var serverChatURL:String = "rtmp://myserverIP/multicast/chat";
What do i have to do to make this work?

How to Configure E-mail and Chat functionalities

Dear all,
How to configure E-mail and Chat functionalities for IC Webclient.
through IC Webclient ICI interface how can we configure E-mail functionality, As per my understanding, E-mails can be handled in a similar way of receiving phones.
Where these E-mails can be stored?, Where we define agent E-mail id?
being ICI is a multi channel support does it need SMPT server support? If No, would there be any difference in the functionality?
How does CHAT functionality works?
Please educate in above scenarios to get a better understanding.

I use airport to connect to the internet but my roommate can see my emails and chats in a log on his mac. how is this possible and how do I stop it?

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.

Using the new Call and Chat buttons

This is really not a Mac issue, even though I use a Mac. It is a general issue regarding the use of the new Call and Chat buttons in web sites and HTML signatures,
I was using the so called "legacy" buttons, both on my home web site as well as in my HTML signature. Sometime a few days ago they stopped working altogether. I checked the Internet and I saw the post that Skype has discontinued their use and insteasd we would have to use the new Call and Chat buttons that work via a generated script.
This is fine, but I am having two issues here:
1) When I include the script on my web site, the Call image always goes on a line by itself. What I want is to have it on the same line with some other social media like images, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. I could do this with the old legacy images but not with this new one.
2) How can I have now this functionality in an HTML signature? I can't put a script there.

As far as I know, you can't change it: first, your photo is probably a .jpg and iMovie will be adapting it to a video file which will result in somewhat of a loss of quality and second, if your original picture is small, it cannot be enlarged without significant loss of quality as it will get blurry while the individual pixels are being made larger - that depends on your camera settings and its photo output size. So it could be either or both of those that is the problem here. Check your camera and see what size you are taking your pictures in.

Using Firefox version 8.0, I can text and chat in Yahoo mail. When I upgrade to version 9.0, I can not. This applies to my desktop, laptop and netbook. When I downgrade back to version 8.0, everything works fine. Is there a setting that I need to change in 9.0?

This sounds like a known issue reported here:

There was a workaround posted, but I've not tested it myself. Here are the steps.
# Go into Yahoo Messenger Options - Change the Window in the dropdown to Tab and press OK.
# Then go back and switch it to small window and press OK.
Once the bug is officially resolved, you could try running a Nightly or Aurora build to use the fix early.

N9, missing SMS and chat notifications during musi...

Hope somebody can help, as I've spent many hours Googling for the solution. Just got a new N9 64Gb, learning to find my way around.
I have a huge problem with notifications. Basically my phone is my MP3 player for my lifestyle. I'm trying out free Sigma player since it plays by the folder. With incoming phone calls, music stops and a ringtone comes through. Not the case with SMS and chat notifications. As long as music is paused, I hear SMS/chat notifications. Nokia music player does the same thing. N9 earbuds or 5800 earbuds, no difference. Unless I'm staring at the screen, I miss SMS and chats.
With 5800, I was able to listen to music/audio books all day (used FolderPlay), and SMS and chat notification interrupted the playback no problem. I don't seem to be able to do the same with N9. Is there a solution to this? Am I missing something in the settings?
I'm getting desperate. Help?

1. Uninstall and re-install the application.
2. Update the application. If there's an available update.
If it's still the same, then it's best to coordinate your concern with the publisher of the application. They'll be able to help you with your concern.

Thanks handar. As per your instructions I have tried OAM authorization policy and its working fine. But we also wants to check the same with OES also. Currently I have configure weblogic SM and created domain. In same domain I have deployed my application also. I have created application, resources and authorization policy to authorize /myfolder/index.jsp if user has some specific role. Now if I try to access my web application using http://host:8001/CONTEXT/myfolder/index.jsp, it doesn't check if user is authorized or not. I guess my application is not related to the resource I have created. Please help me with this. Also, let me know if we can retirive logged in user from session and use for authorization.

I want to block all video Stream and chat messengers in my laptop irrespective of browsers, my room met always watching porn, you-tube, cricket, movies and soccer videos. I tried blocking IE using content adviser by the help of my colleague, but he installed

Can you do this video conferencing using the cross-platform version of the JMF? The cross-platform version of JMF does not support as many formats(1) as the JMF performance pack - and you might find that the PP version supports some formats that offer better compression than the x-plat version is able to handle. Note that this can be tested once you have the server-side component in place - it is pretty much the same for an applet, JWS app., or plain old desktop app. such as JMStudio (provided as a sample app. with JMF) to access the web service that provides the video feed.
