C3-01 will not sync Contacts

I got a usb cable for my c3-01 as Bluetooth would not connect. Cable works OK. Now I find that OVI Suite syncs my Photos and my Messages but will not sync Contacts, even though it says it has!
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas please? Anything gratefully received!
Many thanks.

  • My ipod classic 80 gb will not sync contacts form Outlook in windows 7.  I have tried many suggestions but none work.

My ipod classic 80 gb will not sync with contacts in outlook in windows 7. It never has synced all contacts but for a while it would sync "All Contacts" if I created a distribution group in Contacts for that purpose.  Now it will not even do that. What can i do ?

    Hi there,
I would recommend reviewing the process for setting up syncing in iTunes 11. Take a look at the article below for more information.

  • 5th gen iPod Classic will not sync contacts or calendars with itunes 9

I get the following window message when selection contacts to sycn - "iTunes will no longer sync contacts to ipod "MiPod Classic 80". Would you like iTunes to remove contacts previously copied to you ipod?"
Then is has two button choices (Don't remove contact) and (Remove Contacts).
When trying to select calendars I get a window state something like... You can no calendars to sync. Would you like to open iCal to create some. Then it give me a button to do so.
    I do have calendars.
    Anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem. When I tell iTunes to sync Contacts, no contacts show up. It asks if I want to add contacts to my Address Book, but when I click okay, all of my 400+ contacts appear as normal in the Address Book. I just can't get iTunes to recognize that I have contacts in my address book.
I think calendars are also missing, but I'm no longer syncing calendars, so I haven't really messed with that.
I actually think the problem started when I upgraded to Snow Leopard, but I don't usually mess with my contacts sync settings, so it could've been a problem prior to that. I just upgraded to iTunes 9 last night, and that did not fix the problem.

  • ITunes 7.3.2 Will Not Sync Contacts or Calendars to 5G iPod

I have four ipods of various flavours that I sync via iTunes. On my new 5G iPod I try to sync the contacts and it tells me that there are none, open Address Book and create some. Of course, Address Book is full and it syncs just fine with the iPod Photo, the 4G iPod and the Nano. Same happens with iCal, it says there are no calendars, open iCal and create one. Everything else syncs to the 5G without a problem. I am in the process of completing a restore on the iPod as it came from the Apple Store with a Windows format (yuck) and I had reset it initially to be a Mac format device and thought maybe something wasn't quite right. Anyone with any thoughts?
Connection is USB2 to the PowerMac same as every other iPod. I used to use FireWire but the Nano only worked with USB so I switched. Too bad, FW is a much better transport mode.

A solution was posted a few days ago on the AppleTV forum -- at least it solved my problems with both iPod and Apple TV. Whether Apple has addressed it or not, its technicians are clearly aware that the new version of iTunes has a problem recognizing external devices. Below is the solution posted the other day on the AppleTV forum. (If it helps any, the senior technician who worked with me is: Ryan, 800-409-5381x2175#
    ----- posted by Brad:
I went through all the troubleshooting guideliness as outlined in the "Service and Support" section of the AppleTV help section/web page. Short of reinstalling iTunes, I opted to call AppleCare instead.
Assuming you have access to your wireless network and are able to view movie trailers, do the following:
    1. From the main AppleTV menu, go to Sources.
    2. Select Synching.
    3. Select Change iTunes Library, then Continue.
Disregard the warning about it wiping out the content on your AppleTV.
    4. Write down the new number code, go back to iTunes, and presto, your AppleTV now appears in the DEVICES list in iTunes.
As was explained to me, the latest/greatest iTunes update has a problem with AppleTV. It needs to be redirected to your iTunes again. AppleTV thinks that the new iTunes is an entirely new entity and doesn't exactly recognize it as an update. With regard to the warning when changing iTunes libraries, so long as it's the same computer you are connected to with the same iTunes library, it will simply update and start synching new content you may have put into your iTunes from the last time AppleTV synched. It will not wipe the hard drive on the AppleTV clean. That's what I was worried about earlier and that's why I stayed away from taking this route on my own. I wasn't too keen on starting over with copying all my content back up the my AppleTV. As it worked out, the warning message eventually led me to further research and to this discussion board and then to AppleCare.
My AppleTV is now up-to-date and I hope everyone else is able to do the same.

  • New iPhone 5 will not sync contacts, etc

Just upgraded from the 3's to the 5's for 2 phones. One phone activated without a problem but the second one has nothing but problems!
First it would not go through all the steps to activate it. Was getting hung up with the sync and stayed frozen in "connected to iTunes". After contacting Apple they suggested to "restore" the phone. We did and it finished the activation and is now activated with our carrier.
However, it did not sync over any contacts, mail, etc. The first phone sync'd everything, including old text messages!
What do I need to do to get all that to the new phone?
We had a (dot) ME account that my wife and I shared with the phones (use same password etc). When dot me transitioned to iCloud everything still worked fine on both phones. I use a separate Apple ID for iTunes and our ME account for iCloud. My wife uses the same password for both but it is not the iCloud password. It worked on the iPhone 3 fine.
    * Side note - every time we did upgrades on the old phone my wife's phone always had problems. Not sure if something is just not set up correctly . . .
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jim

I do not have an iphone 5 but a 4s so I'm not sure if this is really applicable. I had the same issue with my Iphone when I bought it and learned after trying many things that the real issue was the adapter.
I thought that the issue was the phone itself and was just waiting for the chance to turn back in. I was too busy. After about two weeks with the phone, my adapter was visibly damaged. I say visibly because I now believe that it was damaged before it was bought but I did not notice this. In any event I bought a new one at a tech store since I needed to charge the phone in the very least and what do you know? The phone synced and is working beautifully since.

  • My iPhone will not sync contacts to my Mac

When I sync my phone it won't sync contacts to my Mac. I do not have contacts syncing to iCloud and I do have sync contacts selected in iTunes. If I create an entry in my Mac it will sync to my phone but no new entries or old contacts will sync to my Mac address book. It used to sync before. When it stopped I don't know. Just noticed over this weekend.

    Nobody??? No suggestions???

  • IPOD will not sync Contacts

My iPod Touch was not really syncing my Contacts. So I reverted th iPod Touch and reverted to the factory settings. I set up iTunes to sync Contacts and Calendars; Calendars is okay, but the Contacts app in the iPod Touch contains NO CONTACTS, regardless of how many times I sync (Yes, I checked off Contacts in the INFO tab).
Very weird. Anyone have any ideas?
Also, most of the APPS did not load; some message about not being compatable with this iPod. They were yesterday.
    Thanks

  • ICloud will not sync contacts and calendar events from my iPhone to my macbook pro.

Only a few contacts are displayed on my Macbook and no calendar events are displayed. Any suggestions?

Check that you have entered the information into an iCloud group and not an On My Mac group, only information in iCloud groups will sync.

  • My MacBook Pro will not sync contact to my Iphone 5 or my Ipad.

It used to work, but it has stopped. I took the whole mess into an Apple store and they couldn't figure it out either. Any ideas?

Then you may have to try manually resetting the syncservices folder by following Julian Write's post (from https://discussions.apple.com/message/9274781#9274781):
Ok, as you can't reset SyncServices in the "normal" way, you'll have to resort to the "other" way:
Although it's not advised to do so in normal circumstances, you'll need to manually delete the SyncServices folder.
Before doing so, you MUST make a backup of both your Contacts and Calendars:
In Address Book, choose *Export > Address Book Archive...* from the File menu.
In iCal, choose *Back up iCal...* from the File menu.
Then, make a backup of the SyncServices folder located at:
    ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices
By backing everything up first, you don't risk losing anything.
Finally delete the aforementioned SyncServices folder and restart the Mac. This will force Mac OS X to recreate the SyncServices folder, and hopefully fix your problem.
I believe in Snow Leopard you can back up your calendar in File>Export>iCal Archive rather than File>Back up iCal as posted above.

  • IPad will not sync contacts

    Hi all,
My Address Book Contacts on my Mac are not being synced to my iPad, they sync just fine to my iPhone. Before anyone asks I have gone into the info tab (while my iPad is connected to my Mac) and deselected everything and then selected just the Advanced>Contacts. Which should replace all the contacts on my iPad (which there are none) with contacts from my Mac. Does not work. I am not using the cloud, mobile me or anything else other than usb from my Mac to my iPad. How  can I get my Address Book contacts form my Mac OS 10.5.8 to my iPad iOS 5.0.1?

    Have you tried a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • HT1386 iPad Air will not sync; message appears that sync server failed to sync the iPad

New iPad Air will not sync contacts and calendars to Outlook.  Set up device in December, tried to sync today, Feb. 8th, after updating to iTunes 11.1.4.62; message appeared that iTunes could not sync contacts to the iPad because the sync server failed to sync the iPad.  Uninstalled 11.1.4.62 and installed 11.1.3.8 and still would not sync.  Synced an earlier generation iPad about 2 hrs. earlier today.  What do I need to do?

I'm having a similar problem ... just used my iPad 2 to purchase the Bourne trilogy and it downloaded fine but I did not try to play it right away.  Then I plugged the iPad into the computer and it downloaded the SD versions of the movie and I used iTunes to sync my movies.  Then I tried to play it and it said it could not open the movie.  I then did a full iPad restore and did a fresh sync and now I get the Cannot Opne pop up.  Did you ever find an answer to your question?

  • The contacts and calendar data on my iPod touch will not sync with my Mac

I have a 2nd generation ipod touch, and an iMac running iTunes 8.2.1.
I have been away from my mac for a few months and have entered a lot of contact and calendar info into my ipod touch.
Now, when I try to sync the contacts and calendar data on my ipod touch with my mac, the data will not sync to my mac.
Similarly, for the last couple months, the contact and calendar data on my ipod touch has not been able to sync with my mobileme account.
I cannot afford to lose the contact and calendar data on my ipod touch.
Can anyone kindly inform me how to fix this syncing problem without losing such data?
