C3 hangs a lot
Hi
Can anyone help me? I bought a C3 last week and I have had some problems with it. It hangs a lot. Sometimes when i try to connect to WLAN or even when i try to unlock my phone. Then i get a white screen with "keys unlocked"...
Is this a software problem? Does anyone have the same problem? What can you do about it?

My iphone 5s has been hanging a lot. I bought it 15 days ago only.
I got my iphone on 19th December and since then my phone has been hanging a lot. There have been more than 4 times that the phone has frozen and restarted. My software is 7.0.4. I have deleted the apps that makes freezing to happen. It could be that they are not optimized for iOS7, but even then why would the touchscreen be unresponsive at times and a game like angry birds go hang and a game like Deer Hunter 2014 stop loading completely out of the blue moon. I have mailed the developer of Deer Hunter but I wont do that with any other app. I am using an iphone first time in my life and this is what I am getting in a welcome drink.

It has not hung for me on either my Mac Pro or my MacBook Pro ever.

I have never had this problem until now. I came back from New Years and turned my iMac on (late 2012 model, running 10.10.1) only to be extremely frustrated with hangs and freezes at odd times, such as:
1. clicking on the Apple logo in the upper left on Finder to get the menu (sometimes hangs for as long as 15 seconds or more before displaying the menu and this was after a fresh reboot with nothing else running)
2. Browsing through a folder of pictures, it takes a very long time to load the thumbnails of the photos, and also takes a long time for preview to pop up when I hit spacebar
3. Simple browsing through my Facebook News Feed via Firefox (latest version) experiences constant hangs as I scroll
4. Clicking on different emails in succession in Thunderbird (latest version) was causing a lot of unpredictable hangs
5. Going to System Preferences and trying to click through the different sections there.... hangs.
I could not get ANY work done at all and was absolutely exasperated when I searched Google for "mac os 10.10.1 hangs" and found a forum post near the top of the search results. I did as Linc Davis suggested and powered off the iMac, unplugged the cord from my uninterruptible power supply, and let it sit there for a minute or so before plugging back in, and powering on. Resetting the SMC.
This seemed to have solved SOME of the issues and the OS runs a lot better now, but I am still getting some weird issues and the occasional hang, although the hang is not lasting as long as it was previously. Whereas before, it was doing it all the time on almost every action I tried to perform, now it is doing is MUCH less but still doing it occasionally and certainly more than should be happening on such a fast computer with 16 GB ram on a fresh boot of the OS and no extra software running. This is absolutely ridiculous.
I have no idea what to do now. I'm almost afraid every time I click something.Thank you. Here are the results from the software you recommended:

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
Without knowing precisely what the issue is with the device, there is no way to tell if apple would replace it or not. You would need to take it in to have it checked. Based on the limited information provided, probably not. It does not sound like a hardware issue. -

You cannot downgrade.
Try a reset (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if it has cleared things up.
If not, then go to Settings and check all of your settings. If you have lots of Location Services turned on that you don't need, turn them off. Turn off Bluetooth when you are not using it. Turn off Background App refresh, turn off cellular roaming, etc.

I got my BlackBerry Torch about less than a month back from RIM, but, the device has been hanging a lot. I haven't really installed apps yet, except 1. Will reinstalling the OS help? If so, how can I do it? Thanks! ;D

The upgrade hangs a lot of time in phase PARCONV_UPG, SHADOW_IMPORT_UPG2..

I'm doing the CU&UC, as say the Guide, and now i'm upgrading my 46C MDMP system to Ecc6.0 nounicode (later i'm going to
do the unicode).
In the phases RUN_RADCUCNT_ALL, SHADOW_IMPORT_UPG2,....has been a lot of time.
In the Note OSS 558197 - upgrade hangs in PARCONV_UPG, XPRAS_UPG, SHADOW_IMPORT_UPG2, there is a solution
for a Oracle Database, but we have MSSQL2005 in a Windows Server.
In this moment in our DB we have applied as say the Note OSS 187493 - DB13 jobs 'Check table Consistency'
and 'Update statistics', and sometimes in the biggest tables we apply the Note OSS 771352 - Manual UPDATE STATISTICS
re-enables Disabled Automatic Stats
Can you help us? In this moment the upgrade downtime is 48 hours (and we haven't yet done some phases of the
upgrade)

Here is the down and skinny on this - PARCONV_UPG can be addressed with ICNV (Incremental Table Conversion) which you can run during the 'Up' Time of the upgrade. Of course there are some limitations put on you when using this solution but it will help to reduce your down-time windows be pre-converting tables during up-time. Those tables that are not converted in ICNV will have to be converted during down-time during the PARCONV_UPG phase so I am pretty sure that your database is getting its (stuff here....) handed to it.
As a 'suggestion' and not a rule here (because it effects recovery of SQL Databases) you can look at using Bulk Logged or Simple Logged modes if your system is using Full-Logged mode to speed things up a bit (actually quite a bit if Full-Logged is enabled).
As for the SHADOW_IMPORT_UPG2 - this is mostly going to be tp putting things in the system and some compiling - the speed of the Db and the processors play a big impact in this. You can watch the SLOG in the upgrade directory to check this out (look in your upgrade guide for Log Files during this phase to get their names and locations) to see if anything is hanging but I would probably expect not much is going on.
Overall you need to identify the bottleneck first - CPU, Memory, Db I/O, a number of things can contribute to your issues of slow upgrade time - as I would have to agree with SAP that there is nothing wrong with the Upgrade Process (except that you can take advantage of things like ICNV where possible - read the upgrade guide and hit the notes and help first!!). Everything else is going to be your setup and how it reacts to the different activities in the upgrade.
So check those out first - let us all know what you come up with and hopefully we can fix your problem directly and quickly.

I have a Macbook Aluminum Late 2008 2.0 GHZ Processor , I was running leopard for the longest time, with out many problems, it would only not be so reactive when the hard drive was full. Recently I Upgraded to Mountain Lion , and things have been running a little slower than usual, I replaced the hard drive with a toshiba Terabyte Hard drive replacing my previous, 160 Gb toshiba drive , I have more storage but things seem to keep getting slower, I've had the problem where if i go and click on something most of the time it will hang for a little bit, also if i try to force with the application, the dock will also freeze on the maginified application, I upgraded the ram aswell from 2 to 4 GB, There is still a lot of memory left over when I check the activity monitor and the system hangs for about 3-4 minutes before returning to normal, only to hang again. I am currently using only 200 to 250 amount of the storage space, and i've repaired disk permissions and used onyx , Im really lost on what to do now, I need help. Every time the system hang i'm always forced to do a hard rest. I recently reinstalled the OS again and used Recovery HD but still i dont know why the system freezes for a short period of time , im not sure if i should downgrade to SL or what. Is my processor too slow or.. ?
