C3 Nokia Browser Update Failure

Just received a notice that there was an update for the Nokia Browser available. Clicked OK to download and install ,....now the broswer won't start because of " Class Not found...Java.." error message.
How do you uninstall it ( or fix it..?)

If you are asking for an update for the said app, please refer to mattfrayage's response. Another way for you to update the browser is to check if an update is available for the software of the phone. Go to Settings > Phone > Device Updates.
You can also try to check for other items that are similar to Nokia Browser from the Store. Just refer to the link provided below:

Nokia Belle update failure - phone now bricked

I happened to see my phone(N8) telling me that an update was available and I had to perform the operation through PC suite rather than previous FOTA methods. Strange, but I was very excited to try my hands on Belle. I setup the battleground for the update. Got the latest Suite(3.3.86), downloaded the firmware through it, and started the update.
The suite tookup the backup of the phone contents and then started to update. The update procedure asked to ignore any windows complaints of USB device being unplugged, and I just followed. After sometime, a pop-up comes saying that the communication with the device failed, and I need to press the power key for 10s. I performed and three vibrations came. Nothing happened. I kept waiting for much more time and later terminated the process to see my phone is bricked.
My attempts to search to reset the phone to some factory setting(I wonder why 16GN eMMC was required then) also failed. There is no way one can get his phone back if the update fails. Now its not strange for me why Nokia is a failure brand.
I purchased N8 believing the quality of Nokia phones. Initial updates like Anna and other minor updates to it went on well. I am now unhappy with Nokia. I think the whole process of update is pain. I am not sure why, but the method chosen to update was painsome. I hope someone responsible in Nokia would read this, and I want to tell them, N8 would be your brand's last phone to be owned by me, even if you sell moon through microsoft(another pain company) in future.

As of now, your only option is a three finger reset mentioned by Tim. Try it. You've nothing to lose. I hope you've a back up of all data. If that doesn't boot up your phone, then take it to a nearest Nokia care.

Nokia support hopeless, Nokia Browser a joke!

There is a problem with Nokia Browser on the Nokia Asha 300.
The problem is that the browser does not clear cookies when the user toggles 'clear cookies'.
The PHP script bellow will demonstrate Nokia Browser's failure to clear cookies.
What the PHP script does is generate a random number to a variable within the cookie session. As long as you are using the cookie it creates, then PHP will not generate a new random number. You can see this by hitting refresh - the number will not change.
If you visit the page (script) on Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome etc and then delete the cookie, a new random will generate.
If you visit the page (script) on Nokia Browser and then clear cookies, returning to the page does not generate a new number. This shows that Nokia Browser in fact is not clearing cookies.

Error message after updating Nokia Browser.

In my Nokia X2-02, after updating Nokia Browser, it gave me an error message: Conflicting applications, Show items?
Please fix this bug, as I have tried resetting all settings and updating the software via PC.

This is a known problem which happens sometimes: there's a new versio of browser available, but the application get corrupted during the download/installation of the app and stops working. Updating the device SW with Nokia Suite does not unfortunately fix the problem.. The only sure way to have the issue fixed would be to take the phone to a Nokia Care service point for refurbishing. http://www.nokia.com/global/support/locations/
Another possible workaround for the problem is to use e.g. Opera Mini instead of Nokia Browser. (you can install it with Nokia Suite even though the Nokia Browser on your phone is now non-working).
I have tried to push Nokia to release a new SW update for most device models which would correct the issue without the need to refurbish the device at a Care Point, but the latest conclusion was that the problem does not occur frequently enough to create such fix... Except for a few very latest devices should be getting it in near future

Nokia browser not working after update

I recently updated the nokia browser and now it's not working. When i try to use an app that uses the browser it attempts to use ovi browser but it's not compatible and it displays a message saying that the app is running but can't display. Anyone else have the same issue? And does anyone know a fix for this. Oh I forgot i'm using a Nokia Asha 303.

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
Try to re-install Opera Mini using Nokia Suite, please follow this link to download it. If the application still does not work, you could reset your phone by dialling *#7370# followed by your security code (the default security code is 12345, unless you have changed it). Before reset, it's a good idea to back up your phone as it will remove all data on the device.
When your device boots up, restore your backup (remember to untick settings) and re-install all your applications from "my stuff" section on Nokia Store.

Update nokia browser

Hey i am having a bunch of problems in my phone when i try to run nokia browser.
some of the problems that i faced are listed below..
1) device is hanging most of the times when i try to run nokia browser on my device nokia asha 305
2) there is no copy and paste option in the browser
3) facebook is not workin. Properly it sometimes does not run in the browser and goes to somewhere else
4) i cant download the themes directly into the browser.
i hope that nokia will provide us update so as to fix the above mentioned bugs in the browser

Dear it would be nice not to update your nokia built in browser because it can jam or make it dump (permanently unavailable ). So I would recommend, to use Opera Mini or UC Browser to enjoy great services.

Updated Nokia Browser invalid.

Through Nokia Store on my Asha 200, I updated my Nokia Browser app. By the time the update was finished, I tried opening the Browser but got a pop-up msg: "conflicting items - Nokia Browser". Clicking on "show" brings out the Nokia browser without any option of updating it again. Now the application is invalid and useless on my phone.
What's your opinion?

Try reinstalling the firmware using Nokia Suite. If it doesn't work then visit the nearest authorised Nokia Care centre.

5730 Firmware Update Failure

Hey there, I got this phone as a gift.
I wanted to update firmware but it just simply won't. I connected phone to my pc. Ovi Suite downloaded the update. Then when I try update these things happen. It starts normally, Phone's screen goes blank(as it is mentioned) then I hear this sounds that Windows makes when you plug in any usb device. I hear that usb plug in/out sound several times then some notifications about devices being installed successfully. And finally ovi suite says Pc lost its connection to the phone, I check the phone and it goes back to the normal using state(luckily I guess.) I first thought it was a usb connection failure but I tried several usb devices they all worked perfectly fine. And also I tried Nokia Software Updater. I get the same problem.
do you have any idea why this happens?

Go to BuildID (the 8th one down) and change it to 0x02607000 (2.5) instead of 0x02608000 (2.6)
Then, go to your apple updater, and the button should appear, although it will say it's updated. Click the updater button, Et Voila! a (hopfully) working iPod!

Unable to check download status on nokia browser o...

i have nokia 5233..nd the nokia browser has a downloads section in the options, where one can check the status of downloaded items whether they are downloaded or are currently downloading. My problem is, when i download something, i cannot open the downloads in the nokia browser on my nokia 5233.. When i click on the downloads in the options menu, NOTHING HAPPENS..but if the item gets downloaded i can open it outside the browser otherwise via the file manager! And in case the download remains incomplete, when i exit the nokia browser, a notification saying, 'view interrupted downloads' comes, when i click yes on it, the browser opens my homepage nd i still cannot check my downloads..what do i do? Please help!

have you chceked that you are up-to-date with firmware updates, through checking via Nokia Suite on your PC? if there are any updates, please update to the latest version offered. if that fails, you can try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite.

2710ne : Nokia browser alone doesn't work.

Brand new Nokia 2710ne.
Firmware v06.13 09-04-10 RM-586.
Operator Virgin Mobile France (unlimited data offer).
No OTA update available. No Nokia Software Updater available.
Device hard reseted.
Opera Mini works fine with all kind of sites.
The "internet" menu of the phone offers operators and nokia links which launch nokia browser and display the web sites behind these links (Nokia.mobi, Virgin Portal...)
But I can't call any other web site ! No trace of a "go to" options in the browser when it is open from a link.
AND the browser ("Navigateur" in french) itself doesn't launch !
Any way to fix that before I return it to Nokia care ?

I've got a problem with some images that do not showing up in Nokia browser. This is a major problem that randomly occurs with different Nokia handsets.
Please check the .html page in the attachment.
If you open the page in PC browser, you'll see "border" image, but if it's opened on Nokia 5630 (or E71, N95) page is blank.
It would be great if you could suggest any workaround for this.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I'm using a new Wordpress theme that is meant to be responsive. The large image is for a header, than you scroll down to see the rest, one by one. Some one the pages work OK on my iPad, typically the old ones where the maximum image size was 500 x 500. It's the new pages and those I've updated that are causing the problem. On the iPad the large image loads, then a couple of the small ones become visible as I scroll down, but then darkness (rather like my knowledge level).
Being new to IOS and iPads, I'm trying to work out whether I should be looking here, or amongst the Wordpress stuff for a solution.

Really frustrating update failures. Slowed down my PC by 1000 times

Hello, I've been using windows 8 from its beta days. But after upgrading to windows 8.1, every major update seems to fail. I've also looked into the history and tried installing them manually but it fails after the stage "copying packages to the windows
update package". And if this isn't bad enough, my laptop takes about 20-25 minutes to shut down. It keeps showing "preparing updates, please don't turn off your computer".
I am getting really frustrated since there is nothing I can do about this. And this doesn't seem to be the first time, it happens every time there is a major update.
Also after this update failures, i seem to have other issues such as
Wifi stops working after 5 minutes of youtube streaming
chrome crashes more often than ever
performance in general has been absolutely awful
None of these happened before. Also I do not have any viruses or malwares.

You can also clear the software distribution folder, then install the updates again.
At the Command Prompt type the following commands one at a time:
net stop wuauserv   hit enter
net stop bits     hit enter
Now browse to the C:\Windows\Software Distribution folder and delete all the files and folders inside.
net start wuauserv     hit enter
net start bits    hit enter
Meanwhile, keep your windows uo to date before installing the two updates. KB 2919442 is the prerequisite to install KB 2919355
