C3 so-called live community feed / update

Hi, I have problem with the communities widget at home screen. All the time, it will only display "What's on your mind?" with my own profile picture. It never receive any updates.
I have subscribe to unlimited data plan. I also have set the below:
1) "Automatically update my phone home screen from 01:00 hrs to 2330 hrs"
2) Set off "Minimize my data use - you now have the full experience"
3) Roaming setting : I have set to "Dont change anything - continue to give me full service experience" . The other option is "minimize my data use - stop all automatic downloading of text and picture" which I dont think is the right option.
So, what other thing should I do to receive live communities update at my home screen?

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images permissions.default.images

There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.
Try to remove the current Latest Headlines feed and create a new feed.

I updated to ff8, my "live bookmark feed failed to load" now. It was working perfectly fine when I had ff7. Is it a bug in ff8? Should I revert back to ff7?

I need the live bookmark feeds to work, why doesn't it work now in ff8?

And then when he phones back as we agreed he's not actually on the phone, it's just a voice saying Apple Support is now closed! What on earth is going on at apple support I wonder.
Anyway, the original problem: an application called JotNot Pro fails to update. The error message says something like "you cannot update this cos either you bought it with a different Apple ID or somebody else bought it."
Neither applies. Can anybody help?
PS. This is my first approach to the support community so please bear with me!

How do I display a live webpage (live data feed) as part of my looping flash movie.

G'Day All, I've been tasked with creating a flash movie for a client (3 scenes, some text and images) simple enough, the challenge is one of the scenes needs to display a live page from a locally hosted website (it's a graphic display of a live data feed from a solar panel array on the roof). What I need to know is how do I set up the flash file to display the live page as one of the scenes of my looping movie? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Ben.

Is there a way to use Illustrator to draw over a live video feed coming from my microscope?

Hi, we use illustrator to draw (trace) over static images of mite specimens taken under a microscope. Although this works, it would be much better to be able to draw directly from the live video feed coming from my microscope. The specimens are dead, so they are not moving around, however, we need to focus down through the specimen in order to see all details. We normally take montage images, but because the specimens are clear there are many artifacts present and we frequently have to consult the specimen under the microscope to double check things. My students and I have hundreds of drawings to complete and are looking for a way to streamline the process. If we could avoid making montage images and draw direct from the video feed, it would revolutionize the way we approach our research. Is there a way to display the video feed and then overlay Illustrator so that we can directly trace over the image (we use a Wacom tablet, but that shouldn't make a difference) so we can focus at different levels and draw the entire organism?

Maybe it's possible to have live video in Illustrator, but you would most certainly need to write your own plugin.

Calling RFC FM in update or background task

hi experts,
I have a RFC FM in system B and i want to call it from system A. if the system B is down when the call happens then the call is lost. basically i want the call happen when the system B is up. somewhere i have read that when u call the RFC FM in update task/ background task , SAP will try to make the call to system B at periodic intervals of time till the system B is up. is that so? what is the difference between calling the RFC in update task and background task?

the transactional RFC (tRFC) implements true asynchronous communication.
Remote system need not be available at the time of the RFC Client tRFC execution.
If the call is sent while remote system is unavailable, the call remains in the local holding queue and the calling program can continue to run without waiting the response of the execution.
If the RFC server is not activated until a certain period, the call is scheduled as a background job
For the transactional call to a remote function module we use the statement:
CALL FUNCTION <func> IN BACKGROUND TASK <task> (DESTINATION dest) u2026
The update task that you mentioned is something different than the RFC technique and in the case of the function module, the function must have the 'Update Module' parameters marked.

Live broadcast feed on byu.tv does not work--I signed in, but there is no video nor audio feed.

During all five Sundays during last month, January of 2011, the live broadcast feed, during the live broadcast of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's weekly program of "Music and the Spoken Word" from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Mountain Standard Time--both streaming video and audio--after my signing in to byu.tv's live broadcast site, worked. Starting the first Sunday of February, 2011, which was February 7th, however, and SINCE then, I have not been able to get their live broadcast feed to work, nor at the time of the Tabernacle Choir's live weekly broadcast, nor at any other time.

Try to clear the Flash cookies and settings.

Why do i get a BOBJ prompt in xcelsius with my live office feed

dear all,
the situation ...
i have an excel document, with a live office feed. the data feed is assigned a specific user from the sap ecc backend system. i have this excel live office saved locally on my c drive. i can open it up, and hit the refresh button without any need to log on.
my question
why is it then, when i add this live office feed to my xcelsius dashboard, do the live office steps in xcelsius, and when i do a preview, it only wants me to authenticate myself, and pops up a prompt.
i would have thought, there would be no need !

i realize to refresh a LiveOffice connection, from Excel or Xcelsius,,, you have to enter your user name and password.
and i also understand that, if you're not being asked for an authentication from the excel when you refresh the LiveOffice, that means your Credentials are saved into the excel itself, i mean into the "Application Options"
BUT,
when i use the same LO document inside xcelsius, it prompts me. note, i am not talking about enterprise here. nothing is saved on the BOBJ server side, it is all local to my c drive.
so in summary, when the live office is outside xcelsius, i can open, refresh and because the logon parameters are in the application options, i get the authentication hour glass, but with no prompt, and eventually i get my data.
however, when i add this to an xcelsius dashboard, and do a preview, i get an authentication prompt !! why ??

Live Bookmark Feed failed to load. I cannot view any footage on BBC News site. Also I can no longer view images I have uploaded to a website. This has all materialised overnight. Please help.

I have been uploading pictures of booksd to ABE.com for ages. I am able to view these images on the site. Today, without warning, I am unable to do this. Coincidentally, I note that I can no longer view film footage on the BBC news pages. The Latest Headlines column is also showing "Live Bookmark Feed failed to load". Please help.

Conference calls are got when you reach level 4. Sometimes, ASC hosts may do a conference call about something related to Apple Support Communities. You will be notified through mail or through the "Using Apple Support Communities" forum.
The last community calls were only for level 6 and higher users, so it's possible that you don't get invited to any until you reach level 6

It covers among other things QoS in the WAN and in the Campus (LAN).
In the WAN LLQ would be advisable, LAN QoS depends strongly on your swtches QoS capabilities.

Using FCP for live video feed

Hi,
I'm currently shooting with the new HVX200 Panasonic camera. We're using a small, 7" hand-held HD monitor to use for focus-pulling, but I'd like to be able to use a computer monitor or laptop for a live video feed. (director's monitor)
We've considered using the component-out to go into a Component-VGA adapter for a computer monitor, but I'm wondering if we can do a direct feed using FireWire into FCP or something.
Anyone have any experience doing a computer-monitor setup for use with these kinds of cameras?

hey there RI,
if you've tried something similar on your iMac & had no problems it's reasonable to think/believe it will work on your MBP, w/ this caveat: the 400 & 800 ports are actually on the same buss, so the 800 port will handle it's data at the lower(400) rate if there is a device on each port. shouldn't affect any editing w/ the drive once the cam is removed from the MBP. it should the run @ the higher rate.
