C309 Premium - why no Touchsmart Web?

I have just bought an HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m (?) printer - what a deal, £140 from Comet including two each of magenta, cyan, yellow and black (not photoblack) cartridges in addition to those packaged with the printer. So far I am very happy with it, it's found my wifi network and I've even printed through wifi from my HTC HD2.
But...
On looking through reviews, many enthuse about about the apps that can be installed, such as Google maps, Dreamworks, Disney etc. However, apparently these are restricted to the C309A (US only?). Surely the machines have the same hardware, touchsmart screen etc? Is it possible to upgrade the firmware to include the Touchsmart Web apps?

You might take a browse on the HP web site. The c309a,g&h and n are very different printers. Of the c309 numbered printers only the 309n has the web apps.

The web apps are not working. I have tried resetting printer by unplugging and re connecting. I have turned off the wireless connection and I have removed web services and re initiated nothing works. They worked before and thing has changed I do not understand?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that the printable apps on the front panel of your Photosmart Premium C310 printer are unresponsive.
Are you still having the same issue? If yes, please try setting a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer. I have included a link to another post with the steps, including screen shots, on how to do this. Don’t worry that the screen shots are for a Photosmart 7510, the steps are the same.
If after setting the manual IP address and DNS servers and the apps are still unresponsive, please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Same issue but I'm still on my 5c. I originally thought the issue was due to it's new link to game center so I could be pushed ads like with how crazy taxi is now. Or at least requiring being online to use.
Im wondering if it's even worth paying for a game when eventually it will be turned into the freemimum model anyhow.
I hope someone has an answer for this.

The type is small on the website but that's because of all the stuff that they are cramming onto the page. A couple of other users made this same comment about eBay a while ago, as I recall.
There is no setting in Safari in which you can enlarge the size of the text.

Yes, I will....the next time it happens. In the past it has happened to AOL a number of times (which is usually my home page), as well as some Yuku message boards I visit...The History Channel A&E, Spike TV, all at various times.
Unfortunately, this morning when it happened to one of the Yuku message board, I went directly to the tool bar, cleared my cache and cookies, without capturing a screenshot. Now , everything I've bookmarked is working properly but I will tell you it's a problem that I only experience on Firefox and not any other browsers, even when I've imported bookmarks from Firefox. It's been a fairly consistent problem for the past 6 months or so where I manually uninstalled, reinstalled Firefox (my preferred browser) and again, manually started bookmarking my sites all over again. It seems that when it happens most of the icons, graphics and photographs are missing, leaving me with only disorganized text.
The next time that it occurs, I will take a screen shot and forward it to you.

Photosmart 7510 Touchsmart web app is not responding

I have had this printer for awhile (1-2 years maybe?) and have never encountered any errors. I went to print quick forms from the device's display and got the following error
"Touchsmart web app is not responding. Please try again later."
I am on the correct network, I can print and scan wirelessly from my computer with no problems. I have reset the wireless connection, our modem and router. I checked for updates and there are no new updates.
I saw that many have had this problem in the past, but have not seen anyone who has gotten it fixed.
Is there a solution or is this now just a basic printer again?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you are getting a connection error when trying to access the HP Quick Forms printable found on the front panel of your Photosmart 7510 printer.
Please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer. I have included a link to another post with the steps, including screen shots, on how to do this.
If you run into any issues, please let me know at what step things went hairy and what any error messages said.

What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand? I assume those black lines are around photos or objects that have had a frame or drop shadow added to it, right? If so that's a known issue.
There's a workaround for that in this tutorial: #7 - Converting Photos w/Frames, Drop Shadows and/or Reflections into a Single Image File. That should get rid of those black lines/boxes.

My device: hp photosmart 7510.
My problem: does not work program TouchSmart Web.
When you click on the icons web-program (Facebook, DreamWorks and other) on the screen I get the warning: the application TouchSmart Web is not responding. Try again later.
With computer printing is supported. Web printing works properly. The device sees the network and sees him.
Restored on the device back to factory settings, modified my network - nothing helped. The answer is always the same.
The results of the validation of a wireless network: no problems.
When you first set up (start) everything worked.
My guess: stopped working program TouchSmart Web.
How can I be in this situation? Can I reinstall TouchSmart Web?

Mine is ok right now. Update firmware may help but before that please run a test by sending a job to its email address to see it actually connected to the internet or not.
To be honest: I won't bother to use them because it's one way to drain expensive inks.

I installed CS6 Web Premium why is After Effects CS6 in trial mode?

I bought the Creative Suite with Web Premium this summer before Creative Cloud became mandatory. I used After Effects on Thursday 11/14/13 for several hours and it was completely fine but when I tried to open it last night, 11/18/13 it told me my free trial had ended and I needed to license the software. I tried restarting my computer, didn't work, and I then found my serial code for the creative suite but it still didn't work. I then downloaded Creative Cloud and updated my After Effects hoping it'd make a difference and there's still no change.
I used a free trial before I bought the Creative Suite if that makes a difference but I paid for the program and need it for a project. Please help!

After Effects is not in the Web Premium suite, so the only version of After Effects that you would have had would have been the trial version.
If you now have a Creative Slod subscription, then you should download and install After Effects using the Creative Cloud service.

Why Does Lightroom Web Module Export Images At 240 ppi?

Firstly, please forgive my ignorance on this subject. I am in the process of getting together a website of my images and have been experimenting with preparing the images and thumbnails through Lightroom's web module. I've noticed that when opening the finished images in Elements, that they have all been converted at 240ppi. Surely, images for websites should be at 72ppi (or possibly 96ppi)? Or am I dimmer than even I thought?

Yes indeed. You set the size unit box in the export dialog simply to pixels and then size the right number of pixels for your web use. Typical is for example 800 pixels on the long end. The resolution box is not relevant for web use. It is really only used as a hint to a final printing size.

Very likely so. I believe Lightroom, just like Photoshop, assumes 240 for files that do not start out having the tag so that is probably what happened if this started as a scan. Many scanners do not write this tag at all, but most DSLRs write the tag into their files and it is usually 240 for older generation cameras and 300 for later ones. I don't know why they do that as it is again not relevant as people print at any size they want.

I've noticed when using my iPhone (3G) that some web pages, when double-clicked, briefly flicker, like they're trying to expand, but then they return quickly to their original mini size. Other web pages, when double-clicked expand to a larger more readable size. Why is this happening? Is this a web page design issue or is it inherent in the iPhone?

Not always. I've come across a few that don't resize. It's not common but it does happen.

CS 3 design premium to CS 4 web standard

I am currently using Creative Suite 3 Design Premium on two Macs, one with OS 10.4.11, the other OS 10.5.x.
I'm interested in getting the new version of Dreamweaver and Flash and considering using the Adobe upgrade path to CS 4 Web Standard. Will installing CS 4 through the upgrade uninstall CS 3? I'd still want to use the CS 3 versions of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Bridge, which are not included in CS 4 Web Standard. I assume that the CS 4 version of Dreamweaver can work on old Dreamweaver files and will be able to import files made by the other CS 3 programs. True?

The upgrade is a totally independent installation. It won't affect the CS3 installation.

Why does safari web browser become unresponsive?

Every once in a while the main part of the safari web browser on my iPad 2 becomes unresponsive. I can type into the address or google search area and the results will show in the window but the content seems static. Links are inactive and cannot scroll or expand/contract the page size. Any ideas on why this happens? My only solution thus far is to completely shut down the iPad and restart.

There are a myriad of reasons this can happen, including problems with content on the website you are viewing. If it seems to occur on the same sites check the site with your computer and see if it is possibly trying to download a Java applet or something similar. If there is no pattern to the websites visited you might want to Restore your iPad and see if it helps.
