C309a wireless working Fail on test page

The printer would always need to be unplugged and plugged back in to get it to recognize things and print.   We moved and it sat in a box for 2 months, now, when its turned on and I go through set up it doesn't recognize a wireless network.   I ran a test page wireless on, wireless working... fail, then all the other tests say not run.  I turned it off and on, unplugged and replugged, I'm at a loss, anyone have any suggestions?

Hello Kayjay-
Sounds like you need to restore network settings. Press the wrench on the front panel, then press network. After network screen, press the restore network defaults. Then go back and run the wireless set up wizard. I hope this helps.

    But when trying to install the wireless network everything I try seems to fail.
    Printer doesn't detect my wireless network (blue wireless led is blinking 1sec on - 1sec off )
    HP Network test tool on my laptop (standing next to the printer to test it's location ) gives no issues whatsoever, wireless network is strong and working very well.
    Settings of the wifi connection are WPA security, no WPS, Channel 11, ... .
    When I run a Wireless Network Test report from the printer menu, the result is (= printout)
    * Wireless On => PASS
    * Wireless Working => FAIL
    * All the other points below are on status NOT RUN so no connection at all ...
    Solutions tested:
    Tried to reboot printer while waiting 1 minute in between => No result
    Reset to factory settings straight on the printer => No result
    Tried to run the Wireless network Setup Wizzard several times without merit.
    Explanations on the forums seemed to be that this might be a faulty wireless network card in the printer?
    Since this is one of the reasons of buying this item, I do need it to work.
    Can anyone provide me advice/next steps?

  • My Epson printer stopped working with Firefox today. It does test pages, will work on Notebook, and will work with IE. Up until today it worked with Firefox. Why can't I print anything from the internet with Firefox?

    Up until today, I did everything with Firefox. Then I was on Paypal and went to print a shipping label and the printer would not work. I went to troubleshoot page and it printed a test page. I uninstalled my printer and then re-installed it. Still would not work from an internet page. I did a system restore. Still didn't work. Called Epson. They say it's a Firefox problem because it works on Notebook and test pages. I installed IE and the printer works. What happened and how can I get it back working with Firefox?

    I have the same problem, I cannot print PayPal shipping label off of Firefox. I did the about.config entry and have seen that the print.print_printer does not exist at all in the list of entries. I use Vista 32. I use an Epson 545 wirelessly.
    Can anyone help?

  • Just installed the latest Canon printer software update (V 3.2) from the App store. Canon Pixma MX850 will not print. Dialog says job stopped at the server - no pages found. Utilities, print test page works. Printing via Airport.

    Just installed the latest Canon printer software update (V 3.2) suggested by the App store in effort to get printer working after OS update. Canon Pixma MX850 will not print. Dialog says job stopped at the server - no pages found. Utilities, print test page works. Attempting to print via Airport from a MacBook Pro. Also from a Mac Pro via ethernet. Both worked before updating to Yosemite. Canon Pro 9000 Mk 2 works via USB. Tried installing driver 10.84 from OS 10.9 as suggested by PAHU; no luck.

    The "stopped at server - no pages found" message would suggest an image with the print file that is created by the printer driver on the MacBook Pro. But if the Mac Pro is getting the same message then that is unusual.
    To rule out a couple of causes I would try connecting the MacBook Pro directly to the MX850 by USB cable. This action should result in a new printer for the USB connection being created automatically. If not then you may need to manually create it as you won't be able to use the existing printer that exists for the network connection. With the new printer created see if this will let you print without error.
    If this USB connected printer also fails with the same message then try a reset of the printing system. Note that this action will also remove the Pro 9000 from Printers & Scanners so you will have to add it and the MX850 again.

    Welcome to the HP Forums.
    I see that you are having an issue when attempting to connect to a wireless network.
    Have you changed the router for a new one? 
    Make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
    Make sure that you are with in the 4'-20' range.
    You can try the HP Print and Scan Doctor as well.  Let me know if you see any error codes or messages.

  • Order by date clause works in dataset test but not in actual page.

    I have a page where I am trying to display the name ,date, and location of our next event by sortig the data
    by date and using a where clause to exclude previous events.
    I set up the recordset in DW cs4 and push test and it works fine.
    Here is the mysql query :
    SELECT events.NAME, events.LOCATION, events.`DATE`, events.EDATE
    FROM events
    WHERE events.EDATE > now()
    ORDER BY events.EDATE
    date field is just string data
    edate is actual date I want to sort on
    I have tried using edate=> currdate() and that returns the same incorrect results.
    I am using Dreamweaver CS4 and mysql 5.1.
    When I use my web host utility for mysql 5.1 the same query works there also.
    It also works inside my localhose mysql 5.1
    The only place it doesn't work is in the page.

    not looking at the code and it appears dreamweaver was adding a new statement everytime I change the s
    ql statement. I deleted all of them except the correct one and now it works.

    My PC (Dell XPS 9000) is communicating with my HP C309a wirelessly for printing, but the Hp solution Center has stopped working. Shouldn't I be able to use all functions wirelessly?
    I'm getting an error message "HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete. Please plug in the usb cable or re-run the set-up program from the instattation CD for a network installation."  When I put the installation disk in to remedy the problem, it tells me that my present software is the latest so it won't update. When I go to the update center, it tells me I have the latest software.

     Click Start Menu icon>Programs>HP>HP Photosmart c309a>Add a Device
    With this, it will find the wireless printer and reconfigure the settings; simply follow the prompts. After completion, try to reopen HP Solution Center.

    I have installed printer a hp deskjet 1515 in windows 7 ultimate 32 bits and it is successfully installed, however  when I tried to test print out there showed message "test page failed to print. Would you like to view the print troubleshooter
    for assistance?". I tried to clicked Yes and running the troubleshooter until completed but the result still the same showed the same message above when test print again.

    Hi Sopyan,
    On current situation, please refer to following steps and check if help us to troubleshoot this issue.
    1. Please check if use the correct printer driver and also check if need to update it.
    2. Please check if firewall was enabled or third-party security application ran. Please temporarily disable them and monitor the result.
    3. Please use another administrator account to logon and print again, then check if this issue still exist.
    4. Please open Event Viewer and check if find some relevant events or errors.

  • HT3500 I have mosx Lion have no driver for my photosmart c4580 printer and the printer test page gives no ip address. How do I get my printer to work?

    We bought a new Mac bookpro using the latest version of lion 10.8. We also have a c4580 photosmart printer and have bee unable to find a driver down load for this printer and our Macbook. We have tried to use u tube and other sites including Apple support to try to connect to our printer. We run a printer test page and the ip address comes up "not applicable". Do we need to connect the macbook to the router? What are we doing wrong? HP site will not give us a driver download. I have to buy it. Seems simplar to goand buy a new printer but this one is still good. Can anyone help? We are not as software savy as alot of you out there. Thanks.

  • LaserJet Printer 5L Only Prints Test Page

    I hooked up my LaserJet Printer 5L (I believe it's a 2005 model) to my Toshiba Satellite laptop (32-bit operating system with Intel pentium running Windows 7 Home Premium networked with a wireless router).  Whenever I send a print job to the computer, it stays in the queue and only a test page prints.  Have any ideas as to what's causing the problem?  I'd appreciate any comments (I know, I should scrap the printer, right?  lol).  Thanks.

    I understand your Deskjet 1050 is only printing a test page. I will do my best to assist you! What type of test page is it printing? Is this printer printing an alignment page?
    Is this page missing colors or stating failed alignment?

  • Can't print anything other than a test page from the embedded web server

    Hi all
    I have two computers hooked up wirelessly to my HP C410b All in one printer.  One computer works fine and prints everything.  The other one did until this weekend.
    The one printer that will not print will print a test page if I go to the embedded web server and print a test page but if I try to print anything else - even a test page not through the embedded web server - it fails to print.  It does not give an error message it just states print failed.
    The computer shows alerts for the printer like when it runs out of paper or ink so it seems like it's connected but it just won't print.
    I've tried unistalling all the software and printer and reinstalling but it still has the same problem.
    Anyone any ideas???

    I cannot get our Photosmart C 7280 to work wireless.
    My "Wireless Network Test Report" says that the "Radio Working" "Failed".  The same report said the "Radio On" "Passed".
    The report said to "Contact HP support". 
     Is this the site where I need to be?  If so can anyone assist?

  • Hp all-in One remote prints test page but cannot find printer for anything else

    The HP All-in-One application can print test pages on my 8610 but when I go to any document or photo and try to print I get the following message "This Printer is not available." I have checked and have the latest version of the HP All-in-one Printer Remote application and the HP Print Service Plugin applications from the Google Play store. I am using a Samsung Galaxy 5 running Android 5.0. If I print a page from my laptop using wireless to this printer, I can see the All-in-One application tracking my printer status so I know it can see the printer.  The app on the phone will show the status under the printer name going from Ready to Unavailable to Ready as a document is printed and then finished. I am printing directly with local WIFI and am not using the ePrint feature.

    I hope you have a pleasant experience here. I'd like to help you with the issues you are having printing from your Samsung Galaxy S5 to your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One printer. Firstly, do you have the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet? The printer has a power moderator built in, so if it is plugged into a power surge bar or battery backup it may be getting inconsistent power. This can cause all kinds of firmware glitches (like the printer status not being broadcast properly). If that doesn't immediately resolve the issue, please follow the steps below: Network Power Reset: Let's leave the router on and unplug the power cable (NOTE: Do not reset the router.), then do the same with the printer, and shut down the computer. After a full minute, plug the router back in, wait for it to fully power up, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light to become solid. Once both the router and printer are on, go ahead and turn the computer back on. Doing this will refresh the network connection. Restore Network Defaults and Reconnect:  1. On the front panel of the printer, touch your wireless icon at the top2. Select Settings.3. Select Restore Network Defaults.4. Restart your printer.5. Once it's booted back up, touch the wireless icon again.6. Select Settings.7. Select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to enter your wireless network details.8. Try enabling the web services again. Another thing I would suggest, would be to download the HP ePrint app, rather than the All-in-One Remote. The Remote is moreso suited for scanning to your phone from your product, so I would suggest trying the ePrint app (you can download it from the Play Store). If the issue persists after these steps, please answer the following questions so I'm better able to assist: Are you able to print reliably from any other devices on your network?What brand and model of router are you using?What is it that you are trying to print? (ie. E-mail, photo, document)What app are you printing from?   • Photosmart Premium C350g how to tell wireless working?

    Installing on a MacBook Pro hooked up by usb to new printer - Configuring the printer, no network showed up - even with that network visible to 3 other computers that are farther away from the router (the router is a Time Capsule). I have read through a number of threads, all seem to indicate that I should be able to see the printer's presence or it should see my network, but I can find no indication that this is true.  If I wire the printer to the router, it is there and configurable, but still will not see my network (after pulling the wired connection, restarting the printer, and using the panel to turn radio on).  In short, if the radio just didn't work in this printer, I would be in the same boat.  How can one tell that the radio works?  I haven't seen entries in the router log that would suggest it tried to connect.

    Thank you for the reply - I appreciate the help.  I wrote that first post at 1:30 AM, so first a correction - it is a Photosmart Premium AIO, model C309g.
    The blue 802.11 light is on when it is trying setup, or when turned on from the control panel.  The wireless test page shows it is on but not connected.  The printer shows up on the router when connected by ethernet cable, and I can look at wireless config settings in a web browser at that point.  I can set it up by USB but it doesn't see the network, either when it searches, or when it accepts the connection parameters my laptop is using successfully.  I tried setting it up again through the ethernet cable/web browser route, then disconnecting the cable and changing to wireless, but it still does not see the network.
    The router (Apple Time Capsule) I am using is advertising its existence, and shows up on 802.11n and 802.11g devices (laptops, iPhones, my neighbors can see it).   In addition, HP's tech specs on this printer say it has 802.11n wireless, so I don't think the g/n issue is in play.  What I am looking for is a way to confirm that the printer's wireless is actually working when I can't get it to see a network everything else has no problem seeing.  There is no Mac address filtering on the router; I have used WEP and WPA/WPA2 setups for the router, no luck.  Can I set the printer to broadcast an ad-hoc network ID or something so that it would show up to other devices, just to show that it is actually on the air?  Should it show up in the router's log files in any event? I can look for a Mac address from it, which I have from the config page, but I don't see it.
    I may have missed something in the settings/connectivity area, but I don't know what that would be.  At this point I am trying to eliminate the possibility that the 802.11 radio in the printer is faulty.
