HP PSC 1500 printer all lights blinking and will not turn off. I had just put a print cartridge in and the problems started. All lights began blinking including the on/off. The on/off button would nor respond. (just kept blinking)

  • Toshiba Canvio 1.5TB Portable Hard Drive Blue Light just keeps blinking

I have a Toshiba Canvio HDTC615XK3B1 1.5TB Portable Hard Drive and its been working fine so far. This morning I tried to access some files and when I plugged it in, the harddrive made the usual virbation but the blue light goes from solid to rapidly blinking. My computer (macbook) doesnt recognize it either. Ive tried it on multiple computers too. Please help!!!

Unfortunately, the drive might might be failing unfortunately, especially considering it's not working on multiple computers. You could try to reformat it, but that would cause you to lose your data. Alternatively, you could make a warranty claim.

  • Have a compaq cq61 319wm, blinking blue lights

i have a compaq cq61-319wm. when i press the power botton there is no boot or post. just blinking blue lights at the caps lock and the number lock. i have switched the ram around and even used other ram. any is appreciated.

I think you have to begin to think of this in terms of a hardware issue. If it reads CDs but not DVDs, then it is not a driver thing but a bad laser. There is a separate laser for CD and DVD functions and one can easily go bad, requiring replacement of the drive.

  • Blinking Blue Light

I know that a blinking Green light tells me that an e-mail is coming in among other things. Now, since updating the OS to 4.0.3, I am getting a blinking Blue light in addition to the Green light (not at the same time.) I have no idea what this blinking blue light means.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello Everyone,
As promised we stated once we had tested this further we would give you more. here is the information directly from our Engineering team.
From the factory, the tablet only supports green notification. However, the LED light inside the tablet is a multi-colored LED,
With the release of Android 4.0.3 many 3rd party applications can take advantage of the multicolored LED inside of our tablet.
None of the Sony Applications use any other Color but green at this time
As the previous poster has stated Facebook is one of the applications that use blue.
This application has a setting to use phone LED notification. If you wish to disable blue for this setting uncheck the phone LED notification within the Facebook app settings.
Here are instructions on how to do so if you wish:
    1. Launch Facebook App
    2. Tap Option or Menu
    3. Tap Settings
    4. Tap on Phone LED

  • Officejet 7000 network not recognized. Lights blink at printer connection and then go out

I plug in the network cable and the lights blink and then go out. The connection to the router is not established

    Ok,
First, unplug both the printer and the router power for 30 seconds and check for any change,
if the same persists, try plugging the ethernet cable from your printer to your PC and check if the same behavior occours.
If so, than it seems like the printer eternet card is damaged, which will require service
If it is connecting with your PC, so the issue may be related with your router,
Say thanks by clicking the Kudos thumb up in the post.

  • Error message, all lights blinking on F380

My printer has been checked over and over. Message comes up as error..all lights blink. The cartridge will not center. I have removed and reinstalled.  The paper is not jammed, the cartridges read full., but all lights keep blinking.indicating paper and cartridges.I have gone over every troubleshooting option. The cartridges move back and forth freely, but instead of centering the always rest at right side of printer when I look into inside of printer.  Ihave removed back, there are no blocages

It might be going bad, I hear the motorola modems tend to overheat. If I were you I'd take the top off the modem and just leave it with the top of the plastic cover off so it won't overheat. Another thing you could try is a different power adapter of the same voltage and see if that's what's going bad. Let us know what happens.

  • WRE54G Disconnects; Red Light Comes Back On Hours After Seeing 2 Blue Lights

Does anyone have a fix for this problem? My WRE54G shows 2 blue lights, works fine, but within a few hours it disconnects and one red light shows. This forces me to unplug and then plug back in the WRE54G, and reboot my computer.
What is causing this intermittant failure?  How do I eliminate this?
Message Edited by buntaro on 04-09-200710:34 PM

Since I did not have any responses to my query, I engaged a Linksys tech in an email chat session last Friday afternoon to have a go at the problem. Essentially he walked me through the usual diagnostics, device firmware version levels, etc., and I would be happy to send you a copy of that session if you think it would be of help to you (just agree to ignore my typo's!).
For reference, I am running the following configuration:
    - Two Dell PC's each running XP with all current patches applied.
    - Full Linksys wireless network with their WRT54GL, V1.1 router, the WRE54G range expander, a WPSM5G USB print server (connected to a Brother MFC 820CW printer), and an SB5120 Motorola cable modem.
    - All Linksys devices are at current firmware levels.
    - Secured network (WPA-Personal):
After the chat session, I made the following changes:
    - Re-installed the expander firmware...just in case (my idea).
    - Found my remote PC set to work on wireless "B" or "G" and changed it to match my router on "G" only (this was my error as I intended to run "G" only throughout).
    - Changed the router and expander from channel 6 to channel 11 (the tech recommended that I "try" channel 1 or 11).
So far (knock on wood), my expander has remained "on" (2 blue lights) even through a short commercial power failure this afternoon).
Hope this helps a bit...best of luck!

  • HP vs17x monitor power light blinking

After I bring my computer out of standby mode my vs17x monitor's power button/light blinks blue, with the sound of what I assume is power going to the speakers, and continues unless I hold it down to turn it off or unplug it.
After some waiting and clicking I can get it back to normal, but as far as I know it's just random clicks that bring it back up
    Any diagnosis/suggestions?
    Thanks
    -Update-
-This morning I was able to get my screen back up by pressing the power button on my compaq keyboard (crescent moon, which puts in standby/brings up standby/shutdown/restart menu)
Also all the icons on my desk were rearranged, put to the left/top, but I'm unsure if that was due to my random clicking
-This afternoon I after walking away for a bit (after I turned it on) the screen came back up

    View Solution.

Thanks so much for the hint, J_Winn.
Once, I opened the unit, I could see that three of the capacitors looked different the tops were bulging ( bulging capacitor ).
I replaced those three and all was well.
    Disassembly hints:
    - The curved plastic top piece of the pedestal stand pops to allow access to the 3rd pedestal screw.
    - The entire pedestal assembly then slides toward the bottom.
    - Use a small flathead screwdriver to pop off the front cover.  (but not tiny, that was my initial problem)
    - Write the colours of the four wire pairs in pencil on the metal screen so you remember which goes where.
    - Remove the small metal cover from the larger metal cover to access the ribbon cable connector.
    - To disconnect the ribbon cable from the circuit board, carefully pry up the black strip on the connector.
    Reassembly:
    - The power button cover, bottom of the U points to the back of the case.
    - The other button cover piece has tabs that fit into the small switch circuit board
    Hope this helps!

  • WRTU54G-TM try this to fix blue light problems, dropping service and disconnects

I spent a ton of time on the phone with T-Mobile, Linksys and the internet company to solve the problem of the router kicking off frequently.
The last suggestions, which has worked so far is to log into your router.  Change the MTU from automatic to manual and then type in 1450.  Save and it will reboot.  Wait until your back online and you should have NO problems.  Linksys says this is the workaround until tmobile releases the ok on new firmware.
if its blinking blue either call tmobile and have them deactivate the voicemail on that line or you need to set it up.
    Good luck.

    Hi,
I just started the t-Mobile @ Home service with the WRTU54G-TM router this weekend and had all sorts of issues with the router rebooting and dropping the blue-light.
I have AT&T DSL with a 5100 Speedstream modem.  Before getting the Linksys router, I had a 5 year old Netgear wireless router that had a rock solid internet connection - only dropped it 3 times over a 5 year period.
After having a full day off issues with the t-Mobile Linksys router, I decided to try reconfiguring my network so I had the Netgear router in between the Linksys and the modem.
I downloaded the latest set-up wizard from Linksys and ran it (and followed the instructions to the "t"), and chose the option to keep my existing network (with the netgear router) and add the t-Mobile Linksys router to the existing network.  Since the Linksys has better wireless and security features than the old Netgear router, I still have all my wireless traffic going through the Linksys (I turned off the wireless features of the Netgear router).  All the Netgear router is doing is keeping the internet connection alive.
So far (it's only been one day), I've seen a dramatic improvement - haven't lost the blue light once and everything seems to be running fine.  If you had an existing router that worked will prior to adding the T-mobile one, I would encourage you to try this set-up, since it has worked very well for me.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless all Control Panel lights blinking

I have had my OJP 8000 Wireless for almost two years now.
About six months ago, I came into my office and found all of the lights on the front blinking.  According to page 96 of the User Guide, "A non-recoverable error has occurred. Unplug the power cord, and then plug the power cord back in, and try printing."  Until you unplug the printer and restart it, printing may or may not occur.  Typically, the printer will not print.  If a document does print, it clears the blinking lights and the printer will operate until the lights all start blinking again.
When the problem started occuring it occured once or twice a week.  Now the problem seems to occur at least once every day, sometimes two or even three times per day.  While unplugging and plugging in clears the issue for the time being, within 24 hours, the lights are all blinking again. It's becoming particularly annoying when you print from somewhere else and then walk over to the printer only to find the lights are all blinking. You then power cycle it, walk back and re-print your document.  The practice is if you see the lights blinking, power cycle the printer so that you avoid someone not getting their output.
I have periodically checked ink levels and those are all supposedly fine.  I only use HP cartridges, so I would like to think that is not the issue.  The printer is attached to my Ethernet network via wire at 100Mb and wireless is disabled.   The printer gets printed to only a few times per day (under five times on average).  I have checked and I am on the latest firmware for this printer (BZM1FN1006BR), so I am at a loss as to what more I can do.

I also have been having this exact same problem for over two years now but never found a solution. I  think I have only printed out about 50 pages since I purchased the printer new in 2010 and at one point it just started doing this.  I can reset the printer by unplugging it and it will work temporarily; sometimes long enough to print out 2 or 3 pages but always goes back to the same faulting state within minutes. This happen whether or not it's connected to a network, USB, or nothing at all.  I also have the newest firmware and purchasing new ink cartridges about 15 months ago never fixed it. (They are nearly empty now and I don't think I have printed more than about 15 pages!)  Does anyone from HP know why the printer keeps faulting like this? I print so seldom that it's a shame for me to have to have to buy a new printer just so that I can print out the odd few pages every few months, and this one was expensive back when I purchased it and it's practically useless when it keeps faulting like this.
