C4280 paper feed issues

Hello,
I have an HP C4280 Printer.  Generally works pretty well, although recently, it does not feed paper properly.  It picks up multiple sheets, which causes jams.  If we feed in, and print, a single page at a time, it works fine.   Is there a way to replace the feed roller in the back?  Or is this likely to be something worse?
Thanks!

  • HP officeJet all in one 6310 paper feed issues at input tray

what could be the cause of my HP officejet 6310 printer intermitantly grabbing multiple pieces of paper at the input tray?
I have been using the same paper for over a year or 2 with no issues up to the last few months. I have blown out any dust and tried to clean the rollers with alcohol to no avail. Is it a part worn or did I not clean the right part?
It seems to happen more often with less sheets in tray. any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
Here is a link to a document that covers paper feed issues on the OJ 6310.  There's a video which shows some steps about what to do.  Even though you have cleaned rollers the video may contain more information about cleaning other rollers that you may not have cleaned.

  • Paper Feed issue

    HP 6500A Plus
    Mac/ Lion
When setting up my printer I was printing some test pages and the paper feed seems to be acting very strange.  There is a wrinkled path the lengh of my paper where the paper feeder moved the paper through the unit.  Seems to have forced the paper through the machine and wher it touched the paper it made crumpled tracks.
    Thanks in advance.

Hey Peggalope! Are you using the ADF(Automatic document feeder) by chance? If so check out this document: Paper Path Issues in the Automatic Document Feeder
If not then check out this article: Printer Paper Tears, Wrinkles, or is Damaged while Printing from the All-in-One This article is not specifically for your printer but is similar enough to fix your issue. Had you had a paper jam lately?
    Thanks!

  • LaserJet 2100 Paper Feed Issue

Our company has an HP LaserJet 2100 printer. The problem is every 10 pages or so, the paper will feed through crooked causing the print to be off center and the edge to become crinkled. I replaced the paper with a different ream and a different stock, verified there is no paper bits in the path by completely removing the Registration Assembly, etc. and cleaning the paper path.
My question is could this be due to the rollers? I would just go ahead and replace them but it is quite a process to obtain replacement parts and if this doesn't fix it, I have wasted a lot of peoples' time and money. Any information would be appreciated, thank you.

I am having the exact same issue. Did u ever get this figured out?

  • Paper feeding issue with G85

    I have a G85 all in one.
It has started to print at an angle on the sheet.
Paper seems to feed ok, w/o jams.
    Any thoughts?

    Hi,
Did you find any particular Event ID for your issue?
To troubleshoot this issue, have you tried changing the default printer and printing from other programs such as Word or any other?
The issue which you are facing might occurs because the Microsoft XPS Document Converter (MXDC) determines the paper size by using the FormID value on the server. As you commented that you are using Easy print driver first you can find incorrect paper size
if RD Easy Print printer driver first is enabled.
To work around this issue, use the forms that are defined by the system when you print. The paper sizes for these forms match on the server and on the client computer. Additionally, a printer driver can rename these forms. Please refer below article for more
    information.
The client printer may print the documents by using an incorrect paper size if the "Use Remote Desktop Easy Print printer driver first" policy is enabled
Apart from this providing link to understand RD Easy print in Windows 7 & Server 2008 R2.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • D110a paper feed issues

My printer has had these issues since day one of purchase.
    1) Often, paper simply won't feed.
    2) When it does feed, it usually tries to feed the entire packet of paper in the tray.
I have little hope of a solution, considering I've had these issues since the first time I used the unit.
I'm chalking it up to having purchased a low quality item. However, if you've seen these problems before I'd like to hear

  • Officejet 5510 paper feed issue

The machine is giving a paper jam message when there is no paper jam. If I press OK or Cancel, the message goes away for a few seconds. Then, the unit on the right side which operates to move paper through starts up . Most of the time it does not pick up paper. Sometimes, it does pick up paper, moves it through partially, stops, then reverses the paper, stops, pulls it forward again, stops, reverses again, then stops and the paper jam message reappears. Anyone know what I can do about this?

  • Laserjet 1018 paper feed problem - started suddenly and now wrinkles paper but does not feed it in

This HP Laserjet 1018 is 4 years old, has worked flawlessly.  But a day or two ago it fed a sheet of paper, there was a ripping sound, and the paper emerged, printed, but with a 1/4" wide, 5" long missing bit near the bottom, running the long way of the paper.  I found and removed the crinkled up torn strip of paper, and have restarted this printer numerous times.  Since that incident, it refuses to feed paper correctly, but bunches it up and wrinkles it a bit from the left to right and does not feed it in.  Thus, won't work.  I can't see any broken parts or anything stuck inside -- and taking this printer apart is v. complicated -- no easy panel to remove to see the feed mechanism.   I'm doubtful I can take it apart enough, and still get it back together.  I've cleaned the feed roller (small half-round gray rubber thing) and it does not seem to be the problem.
    Questions:
    a) anyone experienced, and solved this problem?
    b) is it worth trying to send this for repair (I got it on special for $69, and the replacement equivalent now appears to be the HP P1102w, which is selling via Amazon for $94.99
    Thanks

  • Paper feed not working

Hello, Below are the sequence of events that happened and the problem I am facing: 1. I was able to use my HP 3510 printer print a page even 30 minutes ago. 2. After that, I tried scanning a page. The scanner got stuck many times. I opened the top lid of the printer and saw the scanner bar (I don't know how else to describe it) stuck in the middle. I restarted the printer and my computer and finally, after 6-7 retries, I was able to scan a page. Scanner has been working perfectly ever since. 3. After the scan was completed, I tried printing another page. The page feeder did not work. It showed me a "Out of paper. Load paper into the tray" message. I tried printing again by putting the page in more securely in the page feeder section but it showed the error again. I tried noticing what was happening and here is what I found out: a. The page was getting pulled into the printer. b. After the initial pull, the page stops once and the printer tries to pull in the paper again. But this time the paper gets pushed back out. When I look at the page, the top middle part (the end which was going into the printer first), is all crooked. ONLY the top middle part is crooked and the rest of the paper edge is the same. Every time I try to print a page, the same thing happens. The page is pulled in and then the print pushes it back the way the page came in and shows the "Out of paper" error.  What can I do to fix this issue? Thanks.

  • No paper feed Office Jet 6500 710a

The initial paper feed fails to load the paper, resulting in no paper error.
I tried all the steps HP suggests.
The problem started with a paper jam. All  the paper seems to be removed.
The printer makes a sound of radars clicking.
With a litle help, pushing the paper in for some cm, the print is correct.

    Hello @C4me,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that since removing a paper jam in your HP Officejet 6500A e-All-in-One Printer you have not been able to print as your product fails to grab paper in the paper tray and feed it into the unit. I would like to assist you today with this issue. Now you mentioned in your post that you have already ran through all of the troubleshooting steps for this particular issue and that the jammed paper seems to have been completely removed. There is chance that the initial jam that you had may have damaged the paper feed rollers. This would result in no paper feed at all and an 'out of paper' message, or you having to guide the paper into the machine for the rollers to actually grab the paper.
With that being said, can I please have you double check these two support documents to ensure that all steps have been completed:
'Out of Paper' Error Message and the Product Does Not Pick Up or Feed Paper
A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays on the HP Officejet 6500A and 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer Series
If all steps have been attempted to no avail, than I'm afraid that you would need a whole unit replacement to correct this issue. Should you want to explore additional options I suggest that you contact our Technical Support queue by phone.

  • Paper feed

    Hello Everyone,
I have a used HP 8000 printer and it won't pick up and feed paper.
I have cleaned the rollers , re booted the printer as instructed in Trouble shooting,  ...
I 've also watched the pick up rollers as they come down, and they are moving into position,.but they will not pick up the paper.
Is there maybe  an adjustment I might perform myself ?
     Thank You ,

Hello @Oldradio, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are having paper feed issues.  I would like to help!
I'd suggest starting by removing the ink cartridges, and performing a power reset on the printer.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest updating the printer firmware:

    Hello @RhondaGS,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're experiencing paper feed issues when printing from your Windows 7 computer to your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this paper feed issue. However, before I am able to accurate guide you to a solution I do need to clarify a few things.
    (1) What size, type and weight is your cheque paper?
    (2) What program are you printing cheques through?
In the meantime, I am going to run you through some standard paper feed troubleshooting steps. This will include checking your paper path for any debris that may be causing paper feed issues, and checking the rollers. Please click here to access the paper path troubleshooting steps. Once the support document opens please run through Solution two, Solution three, and Solution four. Once troubleshooting is complete, please test printing again to verify if the issue is resolved. Just to note, always make sure you're loading one type of media in your paper tray at one time. You do not want to mix plain paper and cheque paper, or any other paper in the paper tray as this can cause paper to 'slip' when being fed into your machine and create additional paper jam or feeding issues.
Please respond to this post with the result of checking the paper path and rollers. Should the issue persist, be sure to include the answers to my two questions above in your response. I look forward to hearing from you!
