C4507R-E Sup 6L-E 10GE and X4648-RJ45V+E: Strange Port behavior in one VLAN

Hello all!
I need some help, because i got some really strange thing. We got the 4500 with named SUP and Linecard and around 10 VLANs on it.
If I configure on the linecard a Port into VLAN 500 (access or trunk, doesnt matter) the Host on this port with the correct IP Net gets an error if trying to ping the GW. The Host on this port even cant ping itself.
If you do the Port into another VLAN, in our test VLAN 300, with VLAN300 Subnet, Ping on GW and Ping on itself is working. When you configure the Subnet of VLAN500, but keep the Port in VLAN300, the Host can ping itself and get a correct time out on GW ping. After the Host is configured and you configure the port after into VLAN500, also the Ping to Host and Ping to GW works (which didnt before). If you disconnect / connect the cable, the same problem in VLAN500 is back again.
This whole problem can only be reproduced in this single VLAN 500 - every other VLAN is working normal
Anyone know a Bug to this or had the same problem?

  • Running 10gEE and 10gXE on the same pc

    I have installed both the 10gEE and XE in the same pc, but only one listner can be started. So how can i run both instances at the same time?

    You shouldn't have problems with only one listener for both DBs. Did you already try it ?
    only one listner can be startedDid you try starting both and got errors ? If so, it could be a port problem, probably you're trying to start both listeners on port 1521. To start both listeners you should change one port, but, as I said, you shouldn't have problems with only one listener.

    Hi,

    I checked policies, they looks applied correctly.
    On SUP-720-10GE, I modified ACL to 'permit udp any any' but not found any matching packets. There are plenty of IP phones connected directly to this switch belongs to voice VLAN. I applied VLAN based QoS under voice VLAN and other VLANs too.
    I observed different thing on SUP 2T. I saw packets matching ACL statement 'permit udp any any' but when I took off this line, ACL was not showing packets matching.

  • Netflow on Sup 6-E 10GE

    Hi
    We have one of the above and i cant seem to enable netflow on it.
    Should i be able to ?
    Its one of these -
    Sup 6-E 10GE (X2), 1000BaseX (SFP)     WS-X45-SUP6-E
    Thanks
    Steve

    Netflow is not supported on sup6E. It is supported on 7-E and 7L-E. with the help of netflow daughter cards we can enable netflow on supIV and supV, however daughter card is not applicable to sup6E.

    I don't understand how to use super in equals() method and makeCopy() method.

    Try something like this ...
    public boolean equals(Object other) {
      if (other==null || !(other instanceof Person)) return false;
      Person that = (Person) other;
      return getTitle().equals(that.getTitle())
          && getName().equals(that.getName())
          && getAddress().equals(that.getAddress())
          && getTel().equals(that.getTel())
          && getEmail().equals(that.getEmail())
    Notes:
    * This overrides Object's public boolean equals(Object other), which is (probably) what you meant.
    * You don't need to call "super.getWhatever" explicitly... just call "getWhatever" and let java workout where it's defined... this is better because if you then override getTitle() for example you don't need to change your equals method (which you would otherwise probably forget to do, which would probably have some interesting side effects.
    Cheers. Keith.

  • I download the Super Bowl Tv show, and i want to try to get it on my ipod nano

    hi
         i downloaded the Super Bowl Tv show and i was wondering why it can not be on my 6th generation ipod nano.
    thanks
    nato planes

    The 6th generation Nano doesn't support video playback. It will do still photos, but not video. It has been suggested that the reason is that the small size of the 6th gen won't allow a battery large enough to run video very long, but I can't say for sure that that is the reason. You can watch it on your computer, though.

  • N2K-C2232PP-10GE and SFP-FC8G-SW

    Hi
    We install our new Storage and we would like to connect it trough our Nexus 2k infrastructure, so our question is very simple:
    Is it possible to do it trough the SFP-FC8G-SW in the N2K-C2232PP-10GE? Are they compatible and can we configure the Ports for it?
    To do it trough FCoE is not applicable, 'cos the HBAs for it are to expansive.
    Thank you in advance for your support.

  • Facing issue with POE for WS-X4648-RJ45V+E module on 4500

                     Hi guys,
    My peo module  WS-X4648-RJ45V+E i on 4506 is getting faulty i.e  the desktops are getting connected but the module is not able to deliver power to the ip phone.
    I tried and replaced the module  but it worked for  some time and again got faulty.This way my three modules have gone faulty even I tried and changed the slot but no results.
    I am not able to trace out whether this issue is with some phones connected on the moudle.
    thing is the show power commands o/p seems to be normal, once the power over limit logs are getting generated prior to the failure of POe on the module.

    Hi vinod,
    I 'm having the same problem with 4506E switch with cat4500e-entservicesk9-mz.122-54.SG.bin, and line cards
    WS-X4648-RJ45V+E.
    something weird because the ports that have problems are in card # 3, and the number of ip phones is  low
    Did you clear this issue??

    Generally when creating a Word file from either a Mac or Win7 pc and opening it on two different machines (either one first) it always prompts that the file is open and will be opened as read only.
    However opening a CSS file does not prompt that it is already open on or from any machine which is causing code edits to be lost.
    What we found from out testing:
    - The file can be saved from one user to the server and WILL NOT PROMPT on other machines until the saving machine has the Dreamweaver program closed completely
    - The file can be closed and  Dreamweaver minimised to the launch bar but it still will not register on other machines that it has been changed.
    - Also, until the  Dreamweaver program is closed on the machines, it will continue to open it's saved version of the file.
    Example Scenario:
    - User 1 opens test.css (which is 2000 lines) and adds some code to the end of the file to bring it up to 2500 lines
    - Meanwhile User 2 opens test.css as well (opens as 2000 lines as User 1’s edits have not yet been saved) and adds in code to bring it to 2300 lines
    - User 1 saves his file and closes it - but  Dreamweaver is still open.
    - User 2 also saves his file and leaves  Dreamweaver  open.
    - The server will report the size and last edit of the file the same as User 2 as he was the last person to save it (and if you open from the Win7 Machine it will show as User 2’s 2300 line version)
    - If User 1 then open's the file again (from either the 'recent' in Dreamweaver OR clicking on the file directly in Finder...which version opens.... The version that User 1 saved! Not the true version on the server, but the version that User 1 edited and saved with 2500 lines in it.
    - Same for User 2, he will open 'his' version with 2300 lines in.
    Other information:
    - Files are opened directly from the server
    - Sometimes the users will save incrementally and re-open
    - Most of the time users will save incrementally and keep the files open
    - The users will never not save incrementally and just save when closing the file once finished
    - The users are usually working on the files all day
    - It is always the bottom lines of code that are lost. It could be a case of the two versions being mixed up and cutting off the newly added lines based on the line count (possibly).
    It is as if Dreamweaver is holding a cache of the version locally and then only properly looking back to the server when it has been completely closed. It is very difficult to see how the server is causing such an impact on these files, there are very few logs which are giving any indication to the root cause of the problems.
    Anyone know if this is a known issue?
    Is there a way that there can be a featured implemented on the server that doesn't allow another user to open a file if it is already open on another machine?
    Thanks

    Your server file handling has nothing, and really nothing to do with Adobe software. If files don't get locked for (over-)writing and/or lose connection to the program opening them, then your server is misconfigured. It's as plain and simple and that. Anything from "known file types"/ file associations not being set correctly, MIME types being botched, crooked user privileges and file permissions, missing Mac server extensions, delayed file writing on the server, generic network timeout issues and what have you. Either way, you have written a longwinded post with no real value since you haven't bothered to provide any proper technical info, most notably about the alleged server. Either way, the only way you can "fix" it is by straightening out your server and network configuration, not some magic switch in Adobe's software.

    i have 3 different itunes accounts and would like to combine them into just one for all my devices, a macbook pro, an iphone 4S, an older IPOD, and a ver sion one Ipad. how can i do this on all devices ?

    i had one for a long time, then when i got the ipad i didn't realize they would all still work under one so i set up the second one on that
    then when i got the new iphone i put in the info for the first and main one from my mac pro and it would not work at all, and i knew it was right, then it asked me to create a new one or i couldnt finish the setup
    hence why i have 3 now
    hard to believe you cannot combine into one
    oh well, i will just make them all accessible for all 3
    thanks

    I have itunes directory on an external hard drive and want to direct a new installation of itunes on windows 8 to use it. I tried holding down ctrl and clicking itunes and after many tries got it to work one time. When I went back in later it had reverted back to a blank version of itunes and I cant get ctrl to work again. Any other ideas?

    This is sometimes caused by a problem with the iTunesPrefs.xml file, normally found at C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunesPrefs.xml. Try dragging this to the desktop and trying again.
    Alternatively the problem may be that you have McAfee AV and it is preventing iTunes from updating the same file and thus causing the problem. See Why does iTunes delete my itunesprefs.xml? for details.

  • Capturing DVCAM in FCP 6.0.2 and encountering strange capture behavior

    I have FCP 6.0.2 and OSX 10.5.2 and QT 7.3.1. I have been capturing several DVCAM cassettes using my Sony DSR-20 deck. Although I have done this countless times before in earlier versions of FCP, I am encountering some strange repetitive behavior. I am capturing 30 minute clips one at a time. When I use batch capture it will cue the tape up properly to the in point...and then start capturing until it gets to about 10-12 minutes in, and then capture unexpectedly stops, no dialogue box, the tape rewinds and starts capturing again from the original in point. On this second capture, the tape sails past the 10 minute mark and keeps going to the end of the 30 minute clip. It then stops, gives me the dialogue box that it has successfully captured. And it has.
    But every DVCAM tape I captured today exhibited the same behavior. Capture would be successful until about about 10 minutes in, then FCP aborts (no dropped frame message, no dialogue box) rewinds the tape back to the in point, tries again, and this time succeeds with the second pass capturing the entire clip. Note at the 10 minute mark there is no scene change or no camera start/stop.
    Have other users experienced this issue? And if so, is there a workaround or a possible patch forthcoming from FCP?
    Many thanks,
    John

    Yes, each tape has an in and out point defined. In my 6 years of editing with Final Cut and DVCAM tapes I've never encountered this issue before in the capturing process until now. I will have to see in future weeks with other captures whether this is an on-going issue or not, but at least I can capture for now.
