C5 connected to PC..Could not connect to internet
when I connected my C5 phone to PC and tried to connect to internet through Nokia PC Suit new version..
Could not connect ..can you solve this problem?

Best thing would be to download and install the latest version of Ovi Suite suite here:

Once successfully installed follow the steps to create an internet connection:
Open Nokia Ovi Suite and connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable or Bluetooth connectivity.
Check that your phone is shown as connected at the bottom toolbar of Nokia Ovi Suite.
Select Tools > Connect to internet. Click Yes to confirm that you want to connect to the internet.
Nokia Ovi Suite lets you know when the connection has been created.
To end the connection, select Tools > Disconnect.
If you have problems with connecting, check your connection settings from Tools > Options > Connection settings.

Problems with router connecting to internet
Several weeks ago, there was a small blackout for a couple hours. When the power came back on, I could not get an internet connection. After disconnecting the router, and connecting the modem directly to the computer, I have been able to get online. However, I still cannot seem to get the router to work.
I have followed the steps to set up a PPPoE connection several times. The correct display lights come on on both the modem and the router. Also, the router's status page says it is connected and the computer's network connections says that the internet gateway is connected.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.When you have a storm or power failure, disconnect all power cords and cables between the wall and the modem and you will not have any problems with your network

Internet Recovery could not find installation information on this machine.
Hi there I've bought an iMac the latest model as well as the Macbook Air also the latest model and the Airport Extreme also the lastest model but i am unable to do internet recovery and none of my devices came with operating disc to restore my systems. I'm always prompted with the error "could not find installation information on this machine". Is there anyway I could have this fixed? I've called technical support and they said they cant do anything but for me to bring it to any apple support centre to get it formatted. Its alot of trouble for me to go down leave the machine there for a few days and come back to collect it again. Both my machines are extremely new and could not perform this internet recovery from day one. I even though it was my router so i gave away my WNDR 3700 and bought the apple airport extreme. Please help
It's possible there is a block on your Interet connection. If it works on a Apple network but not yours then that points the finger at your network. If this is a home network then I'd start by changing the DNS settings to:
1. System preferences
2. Network
3. Click Advanced
4. Click DNS tab
5. Click + sign
6. Add 208.67.222.222
7. Click + sign
8. Add 208.67.220.220
9. Click OK.
10. Exit System Preferences
If you are on a business network or any other type of network where someone else has control over it then they may have put certain restrictions on it. In that case you will have to contact the Network Administrator for help. -
WRT54GX4 could not detect internet (DSL PPPoE)
I just got the WRT54GX (srx400) router and connected it to my DSL modem using PPPoE. I could not get pass step 8 in the setup wizard where it tries to configure the router and connect to the internet. I always get the error that it could not detect the internet/modem and I should try to check if the modem is turned on or the cables are properly connected. And they are. I get internet when I directly plug to the modem.
I tried getting thru the setup manually via web interface. I noticed that under the PPPoE option, the username and password are always the same length and they should not be. Of course I reentered the correct user and password several times but the password always revert back to the username (my guess given the length though I can't actually see the characters) even after I reset the router several times (30+ secs resets).
Has anyone encountered the same problem? Please advice. Thanks!Thanks for the tips. However, looks like I bricked the router. After checking Linksys website, I found a more up to date firmware for WRT54GX4. Mine had version 1.00.13 and linksys has 1.00.19. I uploaded the later through the web interface. The upload stage was ok and completed 100%. When it was installing, it just went dead and the powerled started blinking. This has been its state since, even if I reset the router. From what I gathered, the firmware got corrupted.
Good thing various websites offered procedures how to resurrect a bricked router. However, I tried all and could not get a response from continuous ping, thus can't execute a tftp. I'm now deciding on the last resort of shorting the flash and see if this works. However, I can only get detailed procedures for WRT54G. Is there a documetation somewhere for WRT54GX4?
This will naturally void the warranty. But from my side of the world, it's cheaper to just buy a new one than return this one for replacement/service. -
What's going on? I get to 3 minutes remaining in the download of the app from the app store, and then the download stops. It says 'could not download, check internet connection'. The internet connection is fine. But I can't finish the download. What do I do now?!

Intermittant connection to internet
Here's the issue: I lose connection to the internet but, not the router.
I have a surfboard modem connected directly to my E2000. I never lose connectioin to the router (I can always ping the gateway address from wired and wireless connections) but, i cannot ping any internet address or IP until I renew the IP address from the status page. I ran a trace program over night and found that it could not reach the internet for 1 hour periods but, would then connect for 20 minutes. Same pattern all night. (20 minute intervals: 1 on - 3 off)
I've already upgraded the firmware to 1.0.03 and restored factory settings but, the issue still exists.
Any ideas?

I think the connection between the modem and the router is dropping.
Bypass the router and connect the computer to the directly to the modem.
Make sure the internet is not dropping through the modem. -
After implementing SP1 for Windows 7 Firefox "hang"(I got the startscreen, but could not do anything: no response). After a roll back removing SP1 Firefox works again.
I installed SP1 also some months ago and had the same problems, also then this was solved also by a roll back removing SP1.
Does Firefox have problems in combination with SP1? How to solve this? Thanks.Followed the given advice: installed SP1 again, ran Firefox in safemode, disabled other running programs as mutorrent, still Firefox didnt work. I had internetconnection (after restarting mutorrent this did work, the app telling me what the weather outside is worked) but no Firefox: as previous time I got the start screen, but could not browse the internet.
I also tried to start the Internet Explorer and it also looked as if that application had problems (but that can also be because I did not use it for a while - old version or whatever - and it is not my standard browser).
Have again performed a roll back in order to remove SP1, now Firefox works again.
If somebody has advice it would be very welcome! -
ITunes 10.0.1 "the network connection could not be made"
This was not a problem for me on 10.0. I can no longer update my podcasts because I get this error message
"There was a problem downloading (podcast name) the network connection could not be made"
so first I ran diagnostics for the network connection and it said that it could not make a secure connection to the itunes store. I clicked help and it said to add a rule to the windows firewall (even though one already existed), I did that and now its green but I still get the same error message. ITunes could not connect to the iTunes Store "Error Message"
I recently added iTunes 7.6 to my Windows XP operating system at the same time when I added an *Ion USB Turntable (TTUSB).* I currently have the 80G iPod with the larger video screen. I added in the supplied software of the EZ Vinyl Converter. The software reads from Gracenote and imports into iTunes okay. But now my PC cannot access the iTunes store to buy songs, read the tracks on the discs, or display new album artwork. The diagnostic read the network connectivety test, the CD/DVD drive, and iPod connectivity tests all read okay. I followed the directions on checking the network settings under the Internet Options Tool "Connections" Lan Settings and the Automatic detection and still no dice. All I get is "Make sure your network is active."
Can anybody help out their?

Bus Speed: 61440I'm seeing this error on some, but not all, of my Windows XP machines. On my personal development XP box, I see this error if iTunes is closed when I try and access iTunes U via my transfer script or Stanford's.
"iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. The network connection was terminated unexpectedly. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
The errors occured in IE 7 Beta, Firefox 1.5.x, and Firefox 2 Beta. In each case, iTunes U loaded after I clicked the 'ok' button in iTunes. I did notice that in Firefox's case an additional pop-up window appeared that asked whether or not I had iTunes; when I selected that I do have itunes, it transfered me to iTunes but generated the error.
After getting these errors on my Windows XP machine, I tried it on two different lab machines running Windows XP, and didn't get the error message once -- I tried it in IE 6, Firefox 1.0.x and Firefox 1.5.x and they all worked. It even worked with IE 7 Beta and Vista Beta.
Based on this, I think the problem must lie in how Windows registered iTunes, and the handshake just isn't happening properly.

This is a new problem for an IPod Touch I have had for a year. The IPod is hooked up by cable and appears in ITunes. I can examine all the content on the IPOD and I can click "sync". It goes through to Step 7 and then the error messages occur. First "a session could not be started with the IPod" and when that dialogue box is closed, the message "a connection could not be established to the IPod."

I have moved all my itunes onto a new external hard drive to free up space. It has wiped my ipod clean! I can still see the itunes on the new hard drive so I restored my iPod and tried to sync. Although when I connect my iPod it's in the process of syncing, so many songs in I get a pop up saying could not copy to my iPod as xyz song title could not be read or written. I click ok for this pop up to dissapear and then another pop up appears saying could not coyp to iPod because of unknown error.!!! Help I'm going crazy.
Did you go into iTunes to change the location of your media files? if not you will need to go into iTunes and click on preference and select the advance tab then click the iTunes Media folder location. Select the location of your on external hard drive.

I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

I have a 3 node cluster that has replica setup to replicate to another cluster off-site.
Suddenly one of the servers is not replicating with the error:
Hyper-V could not replicate changes for virtual machine 'machinename': The connection with the server was terminated abnormally (0x00002EFE). (Virtual Machine ID CC0FD4CC-F9B7-4C68-ABE8-B7D52A87899F)
All other servers are replicating fine so there cannot be a permissions or connectivity issue between the 2 clusters.
This server has 2TB of data so I'd rather not have to start the replication again.
Does anyone have any pointers?
