C5 doesn't switch back from energy save modus when...

When the battery is low the c5 auto switch to energy save modus. When you charge the phone it normally switches back to regular modus. Now it is only possible when I reset it to factory settings each time. The problem started after the last update. Does anybody have the same problem? Or does anyone know how I can do this manually.

Fantasy thank you for response. I wonder if someone from BlackBerry is actually working on solving this. Another Z10 user said he was able to avoid the battery pull by just turning wifi off when he went out of wifi coverage. I haven't personally tried this solution though.

    Presumably you mean back to OSX.
    You can either locate the Bootcamp utility in the system tray and click it and choose reboot to OSX or you can reboot and hold the Alt key after the chime and select Macintosh HD.

  • Cursor does not switch back from hand to arrow, not an AS problem.

    This is a new problem we're seeing at work across multiple flash apps on different sites. Roll over a link (or any action that turns the cursor to a hand) and then rollout, it doesn't switch back. Not everyone has this problem, but a lot of people. We've seen this with versions of the plugin 10.3.181.34 and 10.3.183.7, and others I believe. OS is osx and xp, safari, IE8. Not happening in chrome or FF. Anybody else seeing this? Any flash site is doing this, here's an example: http://www.rpa.com/

    I was unable to get my mouse cursor to change at all on rpa.com with Safari, though I have Lion and I believe that might be a different bug.  Could you check the following bug to see if it's similar to what you suspect?  If so, I'd encourage you to vote and comment.  If you feel this is a different issue, please add a new bug to bugbase.adobe.com and post back with the bug URL.

  • Switch back from Mavericks to Mountain Lion

    I have tried to switch back from Mavericks to Mountain Lion, due to the battery drain problem, following the steps included in the tutorial https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6162
    The problem is that when I format the HD and I click on 'Install' it appears a big screen which says 'Install Mavericks". I want to install Mountain Lion (that I have in the pendrive), or at least Lion, but I am unable to do that, there is no option to choose any other operating system. Is there a way to rollback to any previous system?
    If not, would it be possible to extract the HD from the computer, format it completely (including the recovery partition) in another computer, install it again in the original computer and perform a clean install from my pendrive?
    I have no external drive with Time Machine or similar.
    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    If you have got a Time Machine backup created in OS X Mountain Lion, connect the external drive with the backup, hold the Option key while your computer is starting and choose the external drive. Then, select the option to restore the Time Machine backup and follow the steps. Note that your hard drive will be erased.
    If your Mac came with Lion or Mountain Lion, you can use Internet Recovery by holding down Command, Option (Alt) and R keys while your Mac is starting up. Use Disk Utility to erase the hard drive and reinstall OS X or restore the backup

  • Switching back from Verizon Yahoo email to Verizon email - folders

    Can anyone tell me if we make the switch back from the Verizon Yahoo mail to the old Verizon email will our folders be preserved?  If not, is there a way to make sure our saved items move over?  I was thinking moving everything back to the inbox may work but I don't want to mess it up because there are some things that I can't lose.
    Thanks!

    No, when you switch from Verizon/Yahoo to plain Verizon, your emails and contacts will be lost.

  • Firefox for Android loads from start every time its switched back from other apps

    Hi
    I have figured this out that when I load Web pages and meanwhile I switch to other apps like Whatsapp, and then coming back to Firefox, Firefox loads again from the start instead of continuing from where I left.
    Even if the Web page is loaded fully and the loading process is completed and I switch to Whatsapp or any and then back to Firefox, Firefox again starts the process from beginning and loads the same page.
    This issue is not in chrome, as if Chrome is loading page and switch back and forth from other apps, chrome continues the process where I left and if the Web page is already loaded then Chrome doesn't start the process again and stays where it is.
    Please look into this, else you guys rock ;)

    Are you using the app switcher?
    Maybe this has something to do with how long the page is supposed to be cached... When I expand my tab list, I can see that some of the tabs are just where I left them and others have blanked out.
    Hopefully and Android guru can give you a better answer.

  • SUP BlackBerry switch back from WIFI

    Hi everybody,
    I've developed an application with SUP 2.1 for blackberry devices, I'm having problem with WIFI and BES, both with simulator and real device.
    The requirements are to switch to WIFI when available and back to the standard connection when WIFI is not available.
    I've tried this:
    MYDB.getAvailableTransportTypes() -> BES WIFI
    MYDB.getSynchronizationProfile().getString("transport"); -> null
    MYDB.isCoverageSufficient("BES") -> false
    MYDB.isCoverageSufficient("WIFI") -> true
    Then I logintoSynch and syncronize and everything is ok (the traffing is routed by MDS).
    Second test, set transport=WIFI
    MYDB.getAvailableTransportTypes() -> BES WIFI
    MYDB.getSynchronizationProfile().setString("transport","WIFI");
    MYDB.getSynchronizationProfile().getString("transport"); -> WIFI
    MYDB.isCoverageSufficient("BES") -> false
    MYDB.isCoverageSufficient("WIFI") -> true
    Then I logintoSynch and syncronize and everything is ok (the traffing is NOT routed by MDS).
    from this point on I'm no longer able to synchronize without WIFI, even re-installing the application (without deleting the DB).
    For example, after turning OFF the WIFI network:
    MYDB.getAvailableTransportTypes() -> BES
    MYDB.getSynchronizationProfile().getString("transport"); -> null
    MYDB.isCoverageSufficient("BES") -> false
    The synchronization does not take place, nothing on the SUP log file, no exception, nothing.
    Am I missing something?
    Thanks in advance

    I think BES is an enterprise blackberry server and is a requirement for Wi-Fi. Here's a line right from our 2.2 docs:
    BlackBerry application connections can occur over a cellular or Wi-Fi network However, Wi-Fi is only available when enabled on BES.
    Let me do some fact checking and see if I can get someone to speak to your 2.1 use case.

  • OSX login page resolution issue switching back from a mirrored TV

    I have an issue on my MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2).
    I use to connect an external tv via Mini DisplayPort - HDMI cable.
    Everything is ok untill I switch back to the single Retina Display: the OSX login page inherit the TV resolution (Full HD) permanently.
    To fix it you untill the next mirroring you have to reset the PRAM memory on startup by holding cmd (⌘) + alt (Opt) + P + R.

    I've also been having this problem. My computer now consistently shuts down between 10 seconds and 2 minutes of startup. This only happens if my computer is not plugged in. (my battery has been between 70-90% the entire time.) If I keep it plugged in...no problems.

    I switched the option and command key in system preferences so the layout would be correct on my windows keyboard but now the keys will not switch back (they say they are switched but do not work that way) Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Presumably you mean back to OSX.
    You can either locate the Bootcamp utility in the system tray and click it and choose reboot to OSX or you can reboot and hold the Alt key after the chime and select Macintosh HD.

  • Trying to switch back from Guest to my own account!

    After or during a MS Office update, the computer wouldn't let me type in my password and log on. So I randomly clicked on Guest. I'm now in the guest interface but I can't see a way to switch back to my normal logon screen, that includes all my data (mail, calendar, you name it). Help!

    Hello sacgurl,
    Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you need to login to a different user. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.

  • ITunes doesn't recognise iPhone after switching back from Windows 7

    Hi all,
    I've searched Google and this message board for this issue, but haven't found any mention of it.
    Here's the problem:
    I have Windows 7 installed on a boot camp partition. Any time I switch into Windows 7 and then back to Mac OS X (latest version of Snow Leopard) iTunes (both 9 and 10) refuses to recognise my iPhone, meaning I can't sync or transfer any files to my iPhone 4.
    The only way I've found to solve the problem is to reinstall iTunes, which is really not a good solution. Rebooting into OS X from OS X doesn't work either.
    Has anyone else come across this issue and/or found a fix for it?
    I don't use iTunes on Windows 7, or even have it installed (although I did try installing it to fix this problem, and that didn't work either)
    Any help appreciated!
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hello again, GiannisFromAthens.
    At this point, considering that the primary issue is with getting the Windows update resolved, we need to get that taken care of first. To do so you may need to consult Microsoft, or whoever supports the installation of Windows on your computer, for more troubleshooting to resolve it.
    Once that is resolved, if you are still experiencing the issue, you may find better information by using another of Apple's Support resources at https://expresslane.apple.com/GetProductGroupList.action for a more hands on response.
    Cheers,
    Pedro D.

  • Want To Switch Back From iOS 7 to iOS 6

    So, I just updated my iOS software yesterday on my iPad 2 to the latest version, iOS 7, from the previous iOS 6. There are four or five decent new features, but FAR too many that I don't like about it...
    To name a few:
    - in iOS 7, the user-photos screen saver  that you could turn on from the "lock screen" is now gone. With iOS 7, you have to go into your photos to turn it on.... I can't stand that. I wish Apple would put it back to turning on the photo screen saver from the iPad's lock screen.
    - iOS 7 now forces my photos into a grouping organization (date and location) that I don't like. The photo backgrounds all now have a white background, which is a real strain on my eyes. Why can't users choose their own iOS color schemes without polarizing photos?
    - the new iOS 7 color scheme is way too bright. Especially in Photos, Notes and in Contacts. This can't be adjusted to a darker color without inverting the colors (which also polarizes/inverts the color in any photos). I also don't like the colored app "bar" at the bottom of the home screen's page(s). Why they don't make it black, or better yet, transparent?
    - you cannot pinch to re-size or adjust the size of a user-chosen photo wallpaper in iOS 7 to fit your home screen the way that you could in iOS 6. In iOS 7; it will only self-adjust and save to a size that is far bigger than your home screen, and therefore completely off-center.
    - as with iOS 6, almost half of my music playlists in iTunes won't copy over to iCloud/iTunes Match: I would have to recreate the playlists from scratch in iTunes Match, which- with the enormous size of my music library (300 gigs), could take hours. I'm pretty attached to the playlists that I spent a great deal of time creating. I keep getting an error in iTunes/iCloud that there are media types "other than" Mp3's in my playlists, which I know for a fact isn't true. My iTunes playlists all have only Mp3 files. Actually, the same problem occurred in iOS 6.
    - there are now more privacy settings to adjust with iOS 7, to protect your privacy from ads or user-specific ads. There is nothing that I hate more than to pay money & have to defend my basic right to not be bothered with ads/sharing of my personal info. Why this is a recurring problem with technology companies, I have no idea. Like the rest of us, I want the choice to completely to maintain my privacy. If I want to look at ads, I'll turn on the TV or open any magazine.
    - in iOS 7, it is now much harder to "swipe" get to the "search screen" to keyword search for documents & emails, etc.
    I'll submit this as feedback to Apple, but I'm sure it'll fall on deaf ears and I'll be permanently stuck with the current changes in iOS 7, or that the next iOS update won't be much of an improvement.
    My question is- if the last time that I backed up my iPad a week ago, I had iOS 6 installed in iTunes (and haven't updated on my desktop yet to iOS 7), can't I do a complete restore of my iPad and then do a backup and revert to iOS 6? I don't care what data is lost over the last week, I just want to go back to iOS 6.
    I really don't like the new iOS 7 version and want to revert back to "6", but I just read that this isn't possible anymore after the beta period is over. Is this true?
    Regretting my decision to update. Could someone please tell me how or if I can revert back to iOS 6 (from my iOS 6 backup on my PC desktop)??? Sorry for the rant. Thanks.

  • HT204266 I have used apple products, phones, apps, iPads for 5 yrs. now, 1 iBook said I had to switch back from a U.K store? I've never been! Now I can't even update my apps I've used for years

    This is my 1st time   so I can't tell if you all could see my entire question:
    Basically, I've been kind of an apple junkie since my first 1phone 3G approx 6 years ago then on to the iPads.  I've been really lucky with the apps, iTunes,etc. and finally decided to try a couple books and Instant nightmare.  Every time I open my apps or I books it s me I have to switch to the U.S Store.  I've never, switched out of U.S???  Now it's infiltrated my Netflix.  I go under settings and it it's all cool.  I'm in the right time zone.
    Please help me!! I'm healing from a surg and this is my only entertainment while waiting to get back to work.
    Thank you much!!

    Reboot your iPad and then try changing the store again.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
    Using iCloud has absolutely no bearing in this issue whatsoever.

  • Retina Macbook Pro doesn't wake up from screen saver

    Hi There -
    I've been having some issues with my computer coming back to life after the screen saver has been initiated. Once it freezes, it's frozen for good and requires a restart. This has been happening relatively frequently and I'm assuming it's got something to do with the new hardware, specifically the retina display itself?
    Anyway, I'd roll the dice and upgrade to Mountain Lion, but I've got some programs that have not been tested in that environment and I'd rather stick with Lion for the time being.
    Has anyone else had this issue?

    I am also having the same issue. There's another thread here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19004375#19004375
    Mine is frozen when I come back to my machine and wake it up... the lock screen appears but it's frozen - usually I can move the mouse around and either see the arrow or spinning beach ball. Sometimes I notice the time is frozen from several mintures prior from when I left the machine ... I have turned of the lock on screensaver option for now to see if that will keep it from freezing.

  • My Macbook Pro (15-in early 2008) in need of display replacement doesn't come back from repair for 1 month now...

    I left my Macbook Pro (15-inch early 2008 vers) w/ OSX 10.5.8 had a serious display problem - it was very touch sensitive and won't show full view immediately without touching more than several times on the right side of the screen. Sometimes it gives ridiculous amount of lines or repetitions, however, the harddrive was working just fine. (Upon getting the view back, all applications were working just fine.)
    So I dropped it off at Apple 5th Ave (24hrs) store on March 19th. The MBP was received by an Apple repair hub (so not in-store repair) on the 23rd. Ever since it has been 'on-hold' status mentioning 'part on order'. So, today is April 19th. Exactly 1 month since I dropped it off.
    I called Apple 5th Ave, which gave me a number to Apple repair dept. Upon having talked with a rep there, the particular part (because they were initially suspecting its logic board too) they have been waiting for is the very display. As it has been manufactured in Japan, it seems to be really back-ordered, obviously due to the current crisis in the northern Japan.
    I heard that iPad2's displays have been seriously back-ordered too... but now I started worrying about my old MBP's display may be the lowest priority before such hot product like 'iPad2'??!! Being Japanese myself, I totally understand the situation... but if it'd take extremely long time even from now, it definitely causes me more than temporary problems as it is the only laptop that I use for everything I do. (Luckily, a friend of mine has been loaning her laptop until she will need it when she goes on trip. But it's been already a month instead of 5-7 business days turn-around that the genius bar rep initially told me. I have been using her laptop with my external disk but of course, it's been quite inconvenient.)
    I'm wondering if Apple can help this situation by replacing the whole machine w/ a refurbished one from the same model??? or temporarily loaning me one?!? I'm just becoming desperate & worried now. Is there anyone who has a similar situation?!?
