C5 keeps asking to setup email at power up

Shiny new C5 (awesome phone) - has a few bugs - this one in particular:
I went through one of the email setup wizards, setup gmail IMAP, and it works great. No problems at all.
However, every time I turn on the phone, the welcome to your new phone screen appears and asks me if I want to setup my email - I say "No thanks" every time. I've tried going through lots of settings and permutations, but I cannot make the darn wizard from popping up every time I turn the phone on.
How can I make this stop?
PS, Feedback for Nokia Staff: I called Nokia customer support twice. The first time the representative did not believe me that the model number of my phone was "C5-00". After some back and forth, she told me that I had to sign up for Nokia Messaging at email.nokia.com, and then it would stop. I had to go.
The 2nd time I called, the rep believed me that the C5 phone exists, and after a long time on hold, he told me his boss had a prototype(you guys should get him a production version), and the only way to fix the problem was to call T-Mobile (my service provider, whom I did not buy the phone from), and they could magically fix it over the air. I explained to him that before calling him, I used the Internet and discovered that other Nokia phones exhibit this same bug and only require the right file to be deleted to fix it. He didn't believe me. C'mon guys.

I asked about the network because there are quite a few posts related to this but when in Roaming... Even I faced the same problem but only while roaming and did not get any solution.. i am still living with it..
For deleting the account.. try deleting the 'E-mail Setup ' application all together...

Nokia X6 keeps asking to setup email

I have set up Nokia email and OVI email and my isp email, but every time I pick up my phone it runs email setup asking to connect to the network. I have now tried setting up a second Nokia email account but that doesn't stop the message appearing and now I find I can not delete the accounts I have created (select account but no delete option exists). How do you get rid of this menace! I have no doubt that it is a windows style software bug which is why I moved from a PC to Mac and now this haunts me, should have bought an iPhone or an Android phone.

Keeps asking to verify email but it already been done can't download anything

Won't open existing email acounts, keeps asking to setup new account on well established system.

I have returned for a long trip (2 months) and when I start Thunderbird I can see, in the menu, the 5 accounts I have setup but with two exceptions it asks to set up a new account. The system has been working for several years but is not standard ie the different email accounts are all in different folders on a NAS server, hotmal is not but only setup as a test recently.
I have checked that the profile.ini file is there and is given below, the two profiles that works are
Fred Work (Profile 3) but is not connected to a live server as it is really an archive of my last work and the actual IMAP email is dead.
Hotmail (Profile 4) that appears full functional.
The various paths refereed to are present on the server that is still Y drive and all other file access to other programs works.
Have tried opening in offline mode.

Have you tried doing 'get info' on the Dreamweaver application icon and checking what permissions are set? It sounds as if the application may have been set to 'system' ownership somehow with all other users and groups set to no access. If so the only way to change it is to log in as root.

You don't have to sign up for anything. Just go to mozilla.com/firefox/new and click the green download button, save the Firefox setup file to your desktop or other download folder and then run the setup file. If you need help more help downloading or installing Firefox, see

Keeps asking for my email password

Apple Mail has started to ask for my password. I've typed in my password many times.
I have checked the box to remember the password in my keychain. It still asks for my password over and over again.
I have two accounts with Apple Mail, one works perfectly and remembers my password. The other account is the troublemaker.
All settings are identical (except the e-mail address). I have installed no new software, or made any setting changes since this problem started.
Apple Mail rarely accepts the password when typed in correctly. I must type my password over and over again until it is finally accepted.

That rings a bell, but I can't remember the solution.
I'm sure the solution is in these forums.
Go into the Mail forum.
It's in there, but search early versions of OSX.

Why does comcast keep asking for my email password?

This has happened intermittently over a few years. It goes on for days and finally stops, but it is annoying and I don't have time to deal with it. Comcast says it is Apple's fault. What can I do about it?
This did not start with this computer or with Mountain Lion. It has been going on for years.

It's possible the connection (handshake) between Mail and Comcast is timing out before the connection is made and you get the error asking password.
In Mail Preferences > General
Check for New Messages > Set for every 15 minutes and see if this helps.
Run Keychain First Aid
Open Keychain Access, located in Applications/Utilities
Choose Keychain Access > Keychain First Aid.
Enter your user name and password.
Select Repair and click Start.
If any problems are found run again to verify all repaired.
In Mail, under Window in the Menu bar, select Connection Doctor. If you see a red light for your Comcast account, you need to make sure your password is entered on the main window for the account (receiving) and in SMTP under the advanced tab. You can click on Show Details to get more info on why you are not connecting.

Ipod Keeps Asking To Power Off

Basically my iPod keeps asking me to "slide to power off", and it usually happens only when i use the speaker volume. So in order for it not to say anything i have to have the volume off.(which isn't the solution i wanna hear)
Any way I can fix this?
I've already tried restoring my iPod and i have searched Google for a solution, so far nothing. *Returning or Sending it in to Apple is not an Option* But if that's the only answer/solution then thanks.

I have this SAME problem. When I'm using my 32 gb iPod Touch, currently, it will turn off automatically, and CONSTANTLY asks me to power off. When i hit CANCEL, it will shut off. It's starting to really **** me off. I have done a restore, and yet, continues.

One more time, iCloud mail accounts are .me, .mac and .icloud. New ones are only .icloud.
iCloud mail is a standard Imap account that can be used with any mail client in existence. But You are talking about the ability to automatically setup an iCloud account in mail, which did not exist until 10.7.2.
You can use password or token authentification with iCloud mail (in Mail) it is your choice.
Set the account manually, set it as Imap, use imap.mail.me.com (no P number) for the incoming email and smtp.mail.me.com as the outgoing server.
The full settings (ports and security) are here. Use them and it will work, regardless of domain (mac, me and icloud addresses all use the same settings.
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
Server name: imap.mail.me.com
SSL Required: Yes
Port: 993
Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
SSL Required: Yes

Can't Setup eMail - Keep Getting Log In Failures

Merry Christmas everyone.
My daughter received a Blackberry Curve 9300 on TalkMobile as her main Christmas present.
Everything seems to work with the exception of eMail Setup.
I have my own domain hosted by an ISP and my eMails are served from that. Over the years I've set up many accounts and eMail clients to access it without any problem, so I thought BB would be straightforward.
Initially, I'm asked to provide email address and password and BB tries to automatically set up the connection. Not surprisingly this fails because the provider isn't one of the famous big names.
So I then get the opportunity to enter manually. I enter
Type = POP3
eMail Address
Password
Server Name
Username
There is some question about username as when setting up eMail clients my ISP requires name@domain, but BB suggests using just the name part.
Anyway, I've tried both combinations of username and each time BB eventually comes back and says 'log in failed' and that I should check the username and password.
I have even received automated emails reporting the failure. containing the details I have entered so I know that BB are getting the correct information.
I'm 100% certain that the information is correct. I even tried creating an account on my MS Outlook on my PC using the exact same details and it connected straight away.
I've contacted my ISP and they have confirmed that BB connections are welcome and not blocked in any way.
So why won't the BB connect to the eMail server when provided with the correct email details - there must be something else stopping it.
I'd appreciate any help or advice.

You have not stated who your email account is with. Go to their website, see if they have FAQ's or a forum and check if there is an existing post featuring the same problem. Keep us informed.

You can log out of the currently logged in account by taping on the id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and you can then log back in.
If you updated your existing account with a new email address then that shoud 'refresh' it on it
If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can redownload its content and download updates to its apps. You should be able to update an account's email address via this page : http://appleid.apple.com

My guess is all the issues are probably related and fall back to malware.
AVG is probably correct in identifying malware. So I suggest you try some cleaning tools other than Emsisoft .
ones I use (all of them one after the other until I find one that can cope) are;

ESET online scanner http://www.eset.com/int/home/products/online-scanner/
So first create a clean boot in Windows using Microsoft's instructions https://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135?wa=wsignin1.0 and then run the anti malware applications.
My outside looking in guess is that malware has set itself up as an internet proxy and is is downloading copies of itself and other malware, blocking some mail port as times as downloading more malware is more important, and probably breaking your tivo as well..
Try the malware programs first. If that does not work I will try and talk you through some logging to see what is happening.

Usually the only reason it will ask you to reboot is if there is a file that must be modified that the updater doesn't currently have access to. You should try running the Firefox program once as Administrator:
* Right-click the icon and choose ''Run as Administrator''
If that doesn't help then do a clean reinstall.
# Download a fresh copy of Firefox from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/fx/ Mozilla download page] and save the file to the desktop.
# [[Uninstalling Firefox|Uninstall]] your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before running the new installer.
# Run installer
Remember that you don't want to remove personal data when uninstalling. That way you'll still have your personal information.

If you intend to keep using iCloud on your iPad, your best course of action would be to update your Apple ID/iCloud information so that you have a known password and it is associated with an active email address. You may find the following articles helpful:
