C5280 using Win 7 suddenly will print ONLY large print from documents & internet

My C5280 using Windows 7 on my PC suddenly prints ONLY very large print from documents or internet. Not aware of any changes made to the to the computer or printer before it started. Have downloaded some updates since it started this, but made on difference.

Try to print a test page or make a copy of a document and see if you get the same results. If you do not get same results, uninstall and re-install software and drivers.

Printing from the internet

I have an hp officejet 4500 that has suddenly stopped printing from the internet. When I click on the print button a fax box comes up. I have tried going to the hp solutions screen and clicked on fax settings but nothing comes up. I am not connected to a phone. I have tried going through the devices troubleshooting in Windows. It fixed the problem the first time but now I am back to the fax box.

Did you try scanning using Image Capture?
Otherwise, check the Canon website for updated software.

My new Officejet Pro 8500a on a Windows XP machine will not print from the Internet.

I just purchased and installed an Officejet Pro 8500a all-in-one and everything seems to work fine except that the maachine will not print from the internet. I use Windows XP home and and the Firefox browser. The printer is connected directly to the computer, and is not directly connected to the Internet or any other network.

The Officejet 8500 printers take individual ink cartridges (IIC); that machine requires that all cartridges be installed to ensure that the printhead does not get damaged. Ink is used in the printer not just for printing, but maintain the printer and the printhead. One can reduce the amount of color ink the printer uses by changing the printer settings to Grayscale or use black ink only. Page 34 of the user manual shows how one can change those settings when printing documents. For further information on how ink is used in the printer; one can look as this page here where it goes into detail on the different ways that ink is used in the printer.
I would just replace the color cartridge that the printer indicates needs replacing when the machine alerts you to low ink. I would not replace all colors at once when only one is in need of replacing.

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that when trying to print from your laptop that you get a communication error message.
To better assist you, would you please provide some further information:
1)       How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet or wireless)?
2)      When you installed the printer on your laptop did you set it up with a USB cable? If yes, did you switch the connection type on the laptop from USB cable to ethernet/wireless?
3)      What version of Windows operating system are you running on the laptop (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8, etc)?
4)      When printing from your iPhone are you using Apple's AirPrint or HP's ePrint app?

Sounds like you may need to repair the Disk Permissions on your drive where your images are stored.

OK, well you haven't provided any information so there isn't anything we can do. What is needed at the bare minimum is:
Exactly what printer are you referring to?
How is it connected to the iMac (USB, Wi-Fi, etc...)?
What steps you have taken to connect the printer?
What errors you have run into.
What I would recommend is using Apple's Printing Overview OS X Lion to learn how to install it. Also take a look at Printer and scanner software for Snow Leopard & Lion to see if it's even compatible with Lion.

What mechanism are you using to access the printer remotely? If it's supported directly by the printer, which printer? (It's fairly uncommon to have an openly-accessible printer on the Internet, so there's usually some security involved here; a VPN or other mechanism to protect the traffic, and some authentication. When printing from my Mac all of a sudden when printing from IPhoto the picture is really dark. The test page off my HP color laser jet is just fine. It is not the printer although older. All of sudden it does not want to print correctly.

All of a sudden when printing from my desktop Mac in IPhoto the printout comes out black. My colors are fine on my HP color laser printer. does it not show a printer when you use airprint? were you using airprint or a thirdparty app to print? Some basic steps would to be power cycle your iPad and iPhone and also the printer, and make sure they are all on the same wireless network if you are using air print.
