C6-00. PUSH EMAIL not working and Nokia Messaging ...

Nokia Messaging doesn't delete / expunge with IMAPand PUSH EMAIL not working.. C6-00

I had a bad experience with my gmail account. It was really slow. 15min looks to work but it won´t make it faster as push email is not supported by gmail when using nokia devices ( I have read it somewhere on a gmail mobile compatibility chart at google help pages)
I have created an ovi mail account and it works as push email on my c6 00 (latest firmware). I have setup gmail to send a copy of all the incoming emails to my ovi account, so I have instant feedback at my phone of incoming mails.
The bad news of this workaround is that when I reply i´m doing it from my ovi account where y erase the mails after reading as I have the original mail at gmail.
I hope this helps someone that needs push+gmail.

  • Nokia E7 - Push Email Not Working

I have recently upgraded to a Nokia E7 from a Nokia E72 and I am now experiencing push email problems?
I configured my Gmail account on my E72 in seconds and the push email worked beautifully and I received mail within 30 seconds of it being sent to my email address. I tested this myself!
So why is there such an issue getting push email to work on my E7? I imagined it would be easier and better, but I have been mistaken.
Is there any way at all to correct this problem? Mail only comes through when I manually sync, but this is frustrating!!
    Any help will be appreciated!!

I am also experiencing issues with Nokia messaging since Anna update. Prior to this it was working fine with Symbian^3 making me feel happy for upgrading from E72
But this joy didn't last for much time as I discovered immediately after updating to Anna that mail isn't working anymore. I eagerly upgraded to Anna as soon is it is available on 18th Aug but since then I wasn't able to receive or send mails from the accounts that are already configured. Having waited for about more than week anticipating some quick app update to fix the issue I tried deleting and adding the accounts again. Since then I repeatedly see a error message that "Cannot enable the mail service that allows you to fully experience your favourite providers because connection to the mail server is not possible with the settings provided.
Select 'Next' to set up mailbox without this service. You can attempt to connect to the server by adjusting the mailbox settings later."
Status remains same even after resetting the device completely for seven times and Nokia care has advised me to reinstall Anna firmware using OVI suite from a PC rather than using OTA update. However I haven't had any luck and the issue continues.
Though this seems to be a pain all the early adopters of Anna on E7, N8 and C7 are in, there isn't still an acknowledgement from Nokia to our pity. Seems that they are helping their competitors rather than the customers by forcing them to jump the ship.

  • Nokia Messaging push email not working

Hey, i am using a Nokia C3, already subscribed to a nokia messaging service through the operator. Using communities, mail and chat are all ok, except the push email. The push email is not working, sometimes it works, but mostly its not working. I tested to send email from my PC and the email never arrive on my phone. But when i open the mail application and synch, the email will be there. So, the push mail is not working. I set it up correctly i guess, i already set the settings to 'follow my account setting' and the account setting update inbox 'very fast'.
When first using this phone i use an "A" operator, subscribed to nokia messaging service, and then register the email in the mail application. Several week ago i changed to operator "B", and already removed the email and re-adding again. Any solution? Thanks before..

now the both function is working fine in my phone. space bar light and nokia messaging ( push email ) the thing is once it go for low battery profile mode. after that i charge my batter full also my push email will not work. once phone got restarted then it will start works. if my active power saver mode then if we charge my phone also it will not work even in full charge i need restart. before my phone got power saver mode my push email is working fine. once it go for active power saver mode then we charge full also push email will not work. again i need to restart my phone. for this issue what has to be done ? can any one suggects me regarding the same

  • Exchange Push Email Not Working

    Hello,
I am at a complete loss. I cannot get exchange push email to work at all on my iPhone 4 (OS 4.1). This is what I have done so far:
    - deleted and added account back (many iterations)
    - DFU'd phone, added account back
    - tried same exchange account on a brand new phone at the apple store, did not work
    - worked with exchange provider, it works in their lab on their test iPhone
-worked with Genius bar for 2 hrs, can't get it to work.
    Any more ideas???

Please describe in detail how you created the account. Is it specifically created as an Exchange account, or as IMAP? Does it verify during the creation process?
You MAY have a timing problem. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3398

  • Push email not working today, was working yesterday

Updated to 2.0 yesterday, push email was working - i'd get mail pretty much instantly. Today it's not working, i'm having to fetch my mail. I'm using a .mac address. Any ideas?

I think it's using SMS to push emails to the phone, and it doesn't tell the email software to send/receive it only displays the part of the email that was in the SMS. At least you can manually send/receive to catch up.
Yes, I think you're correct with that. That seems to be the way all the "cloud" stuff that Apple will let developers push to the phone is going to work. Like a chat client, for instance. No persistent connection to look for incoming messages, instead the IM routes to Apple's server, which sends a message to the phone chat client that there's new data and to come look for it.
    Good for battery life.
Re: the delete on the Mac not showing on the phone, shouldn't the mail client do a sync via imap every time you even open it? That's the way it was working before 2.0. I haven't had time to play with it yet to confirm.

  • Push email not working through iCloud?

I have an iphone 4 with iCloud setup on both my iPad and the iPhone.
Have been using iCloud email since it was released and have used it on Push email which has been working great!
For the past week on and off, it has not been working, I suddenly open the Mail app and I get a bunch of unread emails! I am aware that apple has had to suspend its Push email in Germany, but was not aware of anywhere else (I am in the UK.)
Anyone else having these problems, or is it an Apple Support job? Have tried adding/deleting the icloud email etc, no changes...
    Cheers

I'm from Germany. I've the same problem. Push is not working. I guess it's because of the Motorola patent trouble... Goggle told me. Really annoying! Do u still have the problem? Found a solution?

    Hi sonuchabria,
Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum.
Please short press your On/Off button and slect the Offline profile to disconnect the internet connection temporarily. Then go to Menu > Email > Select the email account > Options > Delete mailbox. Switch the phone back to Online by short pressing the On/Off buttion again and select any profile but Offline. Now reboot the phone.
Reinstall the mailbox via Menu > Email > New mailbox. If reinstalling the mailbox doesn't work, please contact your local Care line so that they can check your Nokia Messaging account. All you need for this is your IMEI, which you can find by entering *#06# into your phone.

  • N8 push email not working.

Hi, just got my new N8 and have set up email to my gmail account.  I'm having some problems with push email.
Going through the email wizard it appears to set up the mailbox as a "Nokia Messaging" account.
I have set the syncronization time to "soonest" however I get no notifications of any emails coming in.  The email client does create a data connection to the server, and I can see my looking at my gmail account that an IMAP connection is made from 67.220.123.* (em.outgoing*.messaging.nokia.com) so all the connections seem to be in place, however there is no notifications getting sent to the email client.
If I change the sync time from "soonest" to "Every 15 mintues" then it seems to work OK, but obviously I'd like it working "soonest".
Anyone have any ideas ?  I presume other folk have got it working OK.
As an aside, when I used Nokia messaging in the past (on my N97mini) you could administer it on the web by logging into email.nokia.com.  The messaging that the N8 uses doesn't seem to give you this feature.  Anyone able to confirm?
    Thanks,
    Ian

After spending hours on the phone with them, the verdict was that YES there is a bug with Gmail and we will have to wait until it is fixed.
Nokia at their best again. Nokia support is abysmal and in many cases non-existent. Take for example a level 2 tech telling me to do a 3 finger reset which then wiped all my Web Video Widgets - which Nokia can't supply - and removed Qt from the phone so I can no longer install or use Ovi Store - which they, too, can't supply.
As to this being a bug with Gmail they are talking nonsense. I have my E71 sitting alongside my N8 and the E71 has always worked flawlessly with Mail for Exchange on my old phone, even my N95. On the other hand, N8 crashes when you reply to emails using MfE and Imap doesn't support push mail. They released this phone without thorough testing to stem the flow of negativity and to please their shareholders. They forgot about the most important link in this chain - us. Without us the company will not last. Period.

  • Push email not working any more

    Hello,
I have a new Asha 303, and am using Nokia Mail with 4 different GMail accounts. On setting up the phone, push email worked perfectly, and it was impressively quick to see new mail. Yesterday I had an issue where the Mail application would not load at all, so I did a reset, for settings only, and it started working again. However, since then, I've not had a single push notification on the widget on my home screen.
I've got getting mail set to 'very fast' and as far as I know, nothing has changed.
I'd be happy to try an alternative email program, but emoze does not seem to be available for the 303.
Any thoughts and ideas most welcome.
    Thanks
    Garry

  • Bitten by the Apple once again--Push email not working on iOS

I can't believe they screwed up again just like MobileMess. This is what I get for trusting there was NO way they'd make the same mistake and, again, being an early adopter.
Anyone RELIABLY getting push email from iClod (not misspelled by accident) on iPhone 4 running iOS 5?  If so, has it always worked and, if not, what was your fix?

Doesn't work for me, and it's really getting on my nerves!
I use Hotmail, and my husband used Yahoo.de.  Neither of us can receive via PUSH emails and have to open the mail app to check if anything important is there.  Doesn't sound like PUSH to me, obviously it does to Apple.
WHY OH WHY was none of this picked up during BETA testing????!!!!!!!
If we turn off iCloud, then I believe it may work, but then you are unable to use FINDMYIPHONE, so we have to decide what's more important?  I find it outrageous!
I've tried deleteing all my email accounts, but that did NOTHING.  I've toggled push on and off; left the phone off for over half and hour and rebooted.  No improvement.
    VERY POOR service from Apple.

  • Push email not working iPad 4

I'm trying without success to get push mail (Hotmail) working on an iPad 4 iOS 6.0.1
All of the mail settings are correct. I have removed the account and added it again multiple times - using reset, hard reset and reset of network connections.
The push service may then work for a few minutes or so but it stops working again.
I have added known working Hotmail accounts and accounts that work with iPod on the same wifi connection but no joy. I have set up push email on Android devices - two over the Christmas period - with no problems at all.
The only way I can receive new email on the iPad is by opening the email application. Email is not being pushed. It is as if the push email service is deactivated.
I notice that iOS 6.0.1 does not allow me to enter the Exchange server settings for the Hotmail account manually. There is no option to enter col-m.homtail.com as the server. The iOS setup must be completing these details which are then invisible to the user and cannot be changed or even viewed. On an iPod (iOS 5) and Android I am able to set these "advanced" settings manually but not on the iPad.
Is this a known problem? If so is there a workaround for it given that I have tried all of the obvious things above.
I am still within the return period for the iPad and this is so disappointing and unacceptable that I feel like returning the device.
I see from a search that quite a few people have had similar problems and some have not found a fix.
    Can anyone assist?

I recently got an iPad and had the exact same problem! - except I'm using Gmail.
I take it you are attempting to set it up through hotmail as you cannot see the Exchange server settings then?
Well, seen as I couldn't get my gmail account to push emails, I set my gmail up with Exchange and have found that the option to enter the server is found later on, did you try entering the required fields in Exchange and proceeding to the next page of the setup?
Settings > Mail, contacts, calendars > Add account > Exchange > enter your email address, password, and description > Then when you press next the server option should pop up where you can enter col-m.homtail.com, leave the domain blank, and re-write your email address in the username.
I am using iPad 4 version 6.0.1 also and this worked for my Gmail.
    Hope you get it fixed!

  • Push email not working

Push email is not working on my iPhone 4s. It was working fine then stopped. I have Hotmail, Gmail, Outlook and AT&T accounts. I've restored my phone in an effort to repair. I'm now running, as of today iOS 6.1.3 but the problem developed before upgrading after I turned Push off temporarily to save the battery. Now I can't get it to work again. I have Fetch New Data in Mail Settings set to Push. Each type of mail account has specific settings and when, for example, one of them is Mail Folders to Push, I have that set to Inbox. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Actually, there are some workarounds. There is one posted in the following CNET article. Note, however, that the page needs some repair. There are photos to illustrate the article that should enlarge so you can see them clearly, but only the first of all the photos does this properly. The others don't enlarge. I've emailed CNET about the problem.

There are some other ideas out there on the web if you care to Google around for them.

  • IPhone 4 Google Sync Push Email not Working?

    Hi all,
I don't seem to be getting push e-mail on the iPhone. Overnight I sent a couple e-mails to my iPhone, but the phone did not pick up the messages until I manually launched the mail client.
Shouldn't the phone have received a e-mail notification regardless?
I'm using Google Sync with the Exchange Server settings.
I'm on WiFi at home - does Push require 3G to work correctly?
